Notes.
Is this new fic for new au? Yeeeees, kkjkjkjk.
I won't say which au right now, it's just not the time for it yet.
Firstly you need to dive into story, to only then get to see interesting twists. XD
Also I will be using different way of writing. So yeah, another au, another way of writing.
"EMMET!" There was it again. Again Lucy was screaming. Why she was screaming? Well, because of the prank. What prank exactly? The prank Emmet set on her. And the named Emmet was giggling like madman, running out of kitchen.
"Emmet, I SO promise to god, one day I will kill you for that!" Lucy yelled, running after him. All her clothing was white from flour that fell on her head once she entered the kitchen. And now, she was chasing after the one who did this.
"Lucy, calm down It's just a harmless prank, nothing more!" Emmet laughed and dodged one of cups, that Lucy threw at him. Cup shattered in the pieces and fell on the floor, "Lucy really! It's just a harmless prank!"
"Oh I'll show you harmless prank, you little!" She once again dashed after him. And that's their regular days. It's a very rare thing if nothing similar to this happens. But even if this life was a bit chaotic, it was making them always stay in shape and alarmed.
"God, seriously guys, can you be a bit quieter at least once?" Benny rolled his eyes and hid behind the newspaper. He quickly checked the cover and sighed. There is was again. A lot of people's reports. Monsters running around the city. One of the people's got attacked. The police have no idea what to do. Well, usual news they get every day.
"So what the news say?" Emmet asked, glaring at Benny from behind his shoulder, before Lucy caught him by collar and dragged away. Benny sighed and shook his head. Yeah, this is totally normal and regular day of all the regular days out there.
"If you two stop fighting, I will be able to tell, but right now…" He stood and placed the newspaper on the table, "Since you both busy, I will go and wake up our sleepy friend. Have fun, love birds" He smiled and moved towards the door on the second floor.
"WE ARE NOT LOVE BIRDS!" There was loud shout and again the sounds of fighting. Benny shook his head and chuckled under his breath. God, these two are still the same. Even after everything happened, they still act so like themselves.
"Come on Unikitty, wake up" Benny said and pat her head, "It's already morning, we've got a lot of work to do" No reaction. He sighed and, rolling his eyes, took her by her tail and she immediately woke up, "Rise and shine sleepy head" He said and, once again patting her head, moved to leave, when heard quiet yawn.
"Why didn't you woke me up sooner? I told you I need to wake up sooner" Unikitty mumbled and, rubbing her eyes with paw, yawned once again. Benny simply rolled his eyes and opened the door, to leave.
"Because you are a cat and you need to sleep bit more than we" Unikitty's ears dropped at that, but seeing how Benny smiled. Gently and genuine, she smiled too and slowly stood from her bed. She decided to move too. It's going to be easier to wake up when you are moving.
"They are fighting again?" Unikitty asked, hearing muffled sounds and stuff shattering. There was no need to answer, she already knew the answer, but still Benny nodded and opened the door, to walk in the kitchen.
"God, can you two stop fighting already?" And they did. Emmet's collar in Lucy's grip, her fist near his face, while his hands cover his face, "Why is it ALWAYS have to be me, who is stopping you two? I'm pretty tired of it" Benny sighed and looked in the window.
"And even so, we've got a lot of work to do and if we are not going to do it as fast as we can, there are going to be a lot of troubles for us at night." He said and run a hand through his hair, ruffing them a bit. Emmet looked at Lucy and she immediately let go of him.
"Yeah, sorry about it Benny" He nervously laughed, "And uh, where exactly we need to go now? I mean, I don't think that our van will be able to drive for that fast, if these things are going to be fast." Emmet sighed, "God, I miss Metal Beard, he was such a great engineer…"
Trio looked at each other and back at Emmet. Unlike them, he missed Metal beard a lot. And not because he was always helping him, but because he was like a father to him. To all of them, but few month before he disappeared. Nobody saw him after that and they had to get used to protect and build stuff all by themselves.
"Don't worry Emmet. We are not worse and maybe even can be better, because we are together" Lucy moved to him and raised her hand, before clenching it in the fist, "Best team ever?" Emmet smiled a bit at that and bumped his fist into hers fist.
"Best team ever" They smiled and looked at Benny. He laughed and, moving to them, hugged. Soon enough Unikitty joined and all of laughed. They stood like that for some minutes, they just wanted to have these moments of calm before the storm.
"Okay, so, what's the plan, leader?" Benny asked and looked at Emmet. He smiled at that and seemed to feel more brave. Immediately his shoulders straightened, he even looked a bit taller after doing so. This move made Lucy chuckle under her breath. Emmet can be so a cute when he does that. Even if he wants to look tough.
"The plan is simple as day" He looked at them and by one professional move took out small map, "We will set few traps here." Pointed at the center of the street, "Here" The small fountain near forest, "and here" in the center of the city, "By doing so, we will create the gate around the city, so no new monsters will be able to enter and then we'll just deal with the ones we already have"
"It's sure a very smart plan" Lucy smiled and looked at him. He smiled at that and winked, making her blush a bit. Hiding his map, Emmet looked at the clock on the wall and sighed. There was 8:54, they need to hurry up if they want to make it without any troubles getting in the way.
"Benny, go check the van, make sure that the fuel is full. Unikitty, check the cameras and find the safest way out and Lucy" He took her hand, "Take all the greatest weapons you have, today is going to be full of fun"
The engine was roaring loudly once they were riding down the street. The van was completely checked and ready to be used. The only safest way for them is through the main street. There were not so much monsters like around the city. Emmet turned the rudder to the right and looked in the mirror. Lucy was recharging all the weapons. Great, now they were ready.
"Unikitty, keep the eye on left side of the street, Lucy right. Benny keep an eye on the back and I will take the front. If any of the creature going to attack, aim at its head, preferly in the eyes, got it?" There were nods. Great.
Looking back at the street, Emmet drive towards their first spot and, parking few meters away from it, turned the engine off. Immediately the camouflage appeared on van, making it completely invisible. Looking at his friends, he nodded and took small device. He created it himself and it was never failing before. They successfully protected three cities by just using it.
Taking deep breath, he carefully left the van and immediately jumped behind nearest broken car, hiding behind it. "It's fine, it's going to be fine." He was telling himself. "It's not the first time you are doing it and even more, there are your friends that will protect you, you will be fine." He sighed and looked around the place.
No monsters or any other creatures, great. Just make it as quick as possible and everything is going to be great. Moving from behind the car, Emmet quickly placed the device on the ground and started to turn it on, "come one, come on" He was whispering. He could swear he heard quiet hiss somewhere near.
Finally the device turned on and he was ready to run the van, when heard loud growl behind his back. Not testing his luck and not looking up, he ran forward. And did the right thing, if he waited for a little bit longer, long claws could have ripped him in two.
Panting, he stood and aimed small gun at the beast before him. Beast was huge, a lot bigger than the ones they fought before. It's giant teeth were shining in the sun light when he was growling at Emmet. His giant claws ready to tear his flesh. Red eyes narrowed in fury. This beast once was a human, but now was nothing but a creature. There was no way to tell who this creature used to be.
"Okay Emmet, just don't let it attack you, just dodge and you'll be fine" He whispered and immediately jumped back. Beast's claws got stuck in the ground when it attacked him. Emmet, not wasting any time, hit it in the head with his gun and shoot.
Beast let out loud roar and fell on the ground. It was weakened, but not defeated. They need to destroy its heart to fully kill it, or do something more serious than just one shot. It was the only way how to stop them. Emmet recharged his gun and shoot again, then again and again.
It was not the smartest move to do, since screams of this beast must have told other creatures that there is free food. But it was the ONLY way for him to make it out alive. And he was going to use it, even if there is going to be a lot of troubles after this.
Once the beast was lying on the ground moving less, Emmet stopped and moved away from it. It was not the first time he kills these things, but it was the first time he actually killed it. Actually did it all by himself. His breathing was heavy and sweat was streaming down his face. He couldn't believe that he did it.
"Emmet behind you!" Lucy yelled, opening the door of van. There were a lot of loud gun shots. Emmet turned around and jumping back, fall on the ground. Behind him were tons of creatures and beasts and all of their eyes were focused on him. But not for long. Unikitty and Benny were both shooting at them, making beasts roar in rage and back away.
Emmet jumped on legs and run towards the van. Jumping inside, he turned it on and drove backwards, not caring about the fact that they were now visible to everyone. Beasts were roaring at them, they wanted to kill them, to kill Emmet.
"Why didn't any of you do anything, when there was only one beast!?" Emmet yelled. His breathing was bit rapid, sweat was still streaming from his forehead. He was not fine at all. He was so close to being killed that he didn't not cared how recklessly he was now riding. He wasn't even paying attention to the red light of traffic was just driving, making the van go faster and faster.
"Emmet, we tried, really!" Lucy's voice was full of worry. Of worry about him, "But something was not allowing us. We were like under hypnosis or something!" Emmet snorted at that and looked at the main street.
"At least we did what we had to and maybe now the other two spots are going to be a lot easier to reach" Seeing how Lucy's eyebrow flew up, he rolled his eyes, "Arghhh, this beast by its roar made other creatures to go to it and try to help, then it means that almost all the beasts are in the main street, where they must be trapped, thanks to my device, clear enough?"
Lucy's eyes narrowed from this. Emmet was never this aggressive before and especially not at her. Sure they were picking a fights from time to time, but he was never like this. But, maybe it's just because of the stress he went through, being only in few meters away from the death.
"Okay, but this time you all will go out of van with me. Except Unikitty, you will still be inside and keep an eye from the van, you all got it?" He looked at them through the mirror. They nodded and his face darkened. These beasts are going to pay for ruining his life. For taking so many of his friends, so many kind people away.
Looking to the right, Emmet saw giant red eyes that were looking at him from far away. They knew what he's planning to do and where he is heading and they did not wanted to let him do this. But nobody was asking beasts. He has a job to do, a city to protect and people to save. This is enough to do the most stupidest thing in the world.
He is going to try and kill every beast he is going to meet on his way. No matter how hard or how much of damage it's going to cause. He won't let the creatures that killed so many people live. Not anymore. He is going to kill all of them. No. Matter. What.

Well the first chapter is not as interesting and full of stuff as I wanted, buuuuut it's still got the 2k words and I don't want to make them giant (actually I do, but I just don't know if it's needed) so I'll leave all the awesome stuff for second chapter.
