This is my first time making a selectively mute character so tell me if I do something wrong.

Enjoy.

Dreams. They are like the mirrors of the soul. Everyone has dreams they want to achieve, whether they are as small as catching a ball or as big as ruling the world. Of course, not all of them are realistic or good. Some are just impossible and some shouldn't ever happen.

But regardless of what they are, dreams are what drive us forwards. They are what keeps us alive for another day, giving us a sense of longing for a better tomorrow. A well nurtured dream can allow for greatness.

But what if something didn't have a dream? Well, it would be as if they didn't have a soul. And this brings us to a slender young adult with pale skin and short dyed white hair wearing a black turtleneck sweater and black pants laying on his back on the floor of a small apartment and typing something on his phone.

His name was Rainer. He was currently drawing a character from one of the tv shows he liked. A hobby he was good at. He didn't have any dreams to become a professional artist; he was always told it was unrealistic. Alas, he was told he was very good at it.

Rainer narrowed his eyes as he stared at the empty canvas he was meant to turn into a drawing before his phone slipped out of his hand and fell onto his face. Rainer sighed as he left his phone on his face. It wasn't changing much that the phone was now on his face, so he left it there.

And so, Rainer remained in this state for a while until an alarm started ringing and the boy slowly got off the floor.

It was time to head to work.

At the local hardware store, Rainer was wearing his uniform and was restocking the shop. It was his job among other things. But his job explicitly didn't include helping customers and for good reason.

So when an elderly woman suddenly approached him, he was quick to freeze in a panic.

"You. You work here, right? Where can I find the locks?" She said in an impatient tone, causing Rainer to gulp.

Talking wasn't his specialty. He tried to use sign language to speak to the old lady, to convey where the locks were. Unfortunately, the old lady misunderstood the meaning of these signs.

"Are you making fun of me?!" Exclaimed the old lady angrily before smacking him with her can. "Where's your boss? I need to have a word with them about YOUR ATTITUDE!"

For a split second, Rainer almost tried to use sign language again before stopping and staring at his hands with a tired expression. It wouldn't make a difference what he did.

A few moments later, a man with a decently large frame wearing the same uniform as Rainer except it had the words owner and Steve on a card on its chest entered the scene.

"Hey! What's going on here?" He asked in a firm tone as he crossed his arms.

The old lady was quick to act. "Your employee was harassing me with those weird gestures of his! I demand he be fired!"

Hearing those words made Rainer frown slightly as his boss nodded to the old lady's words.

"I see. I'll look into it." Said Steve with a serious nod. "While I'm doing so, you could go and ask a different employee for help." The old lady smiled victoriously at Rainer before she left to find help elsewhere.

Once she was out of sight, Steve sighed in relief. "Sorry you had to deal with that, Rain." He said scratching the back of his head.

Rainer signed the words "it's okay" with a tired expression.

"No, don't give me that look. You're way too young to look that defeated." Said Steve cheerfully. "How about this? Take a short break outside before the place gets busy. Get some fresh air. Maybe look at some hip dank memes, ma bruh. Totally cold."

The awkwardness that followed Steve's words was so deafening Rainer couldn't even sign an answer to what he had just heard.

Steve cleared his throat. "Yeah, I should stick to my usual vocabulary. Young people slang is NOT for me." He said with a hearty chuckle. "Just remember to tell me if you meet any other rude customers, okay?"

Rainer nodded, prompting Steve to give him a thumbs up as he left the area. Rainer, deciding to take up his boss's offer, headed towards the door. As he walked there, his eyes fell on a chainsaw on a shelf. He always wondered if it could kill someone without causing them any pain. When he told Steve about this, he gave him some ice cream and a lecture about the value of one's life.

Rainer sighed before heading through the door and walking outside for a bit and stopping in front of the road. He noted how fast the cars were going as he watched them silently while thinking about his life.

He always wondered what was wrong with him. Sure, things weren't great with his life. But a lot of people have it worse than him, so why did he always feel so empty? He didn't have the right to feel so empty, so why?. "What is wrong with me", he always thought.

He just wanted to...disappear.

Deep in his thoughts, Rainer didn't notice a car speeding his way until it was too late. The car slammed into his body without mercy, ending his life.

But this wasn't the end of what fate had in store for him as a powerful spirit in the shape of a wolf clung onto his soul and possessed it.

Rainer woke up with a blaring headache finding himself in an endless dark room filled with mirrors. He looked all around him to find only mirrors. His tail flapped around curiously as he wondered where this place is.

Wait- tail? Rainer quickly noticed that he had a fluffy tail for some reason. He didn't think it was good or bad, just weird. He then noticed that his hands had claws. Well...more like short, but dagger like fingernails.

Rainer quickly turned to one of the mirrors and got up from the floor to approach it. Once he did, he made an interesting discovery. He had wolf ears atop his head and his old ears were gone. He opened his mouth and saw that he had canines, pointy ones. They even poked a little out of his mouth when it was closed. His hair which used to be white due to hair dye, was somehow naturally white now.

I almost look like a werewolf, he thought as he pulled the side of his mouth to show his teeth. It would've looked cooler if he wasn't wearing his work uniform.

Suddenly, a clothes rack appeared from nowhere holding a plethora of clothes. Rainer looked at the clothes and then looked at his uniform. He never really questioned it until now, but...where was he?

He tried to recall the last thing he remembered and his eyes widened slightly at the realization. He got hit by a car and died. It was more of a surprise than a tragedy to him. He didn't have any reason to live, but that didn't mean he didn't have regrets.

Mr Steve is probably really sad right now, Rainer thought with a frown. Mom and dad probably won't miss me, though.

Rainer sighed before turning to the magic clothes rack. He'd probably get weird looks if he were to stay in his current clothes.

And so he decided to indulge his artistic instinct and his werewolf appearance and wear a royal looking black and white turtle neck with black pants and black and white boots. He also decided to put on a black hooded cloak to hide everything in case he needed it.

A pattern anyone could notice was Rainer's favoritism towards black and white. He never looked good inside anything with colors other than black or white and they made him stand out too much, or at least that's what he thought. That said, he always avoided colorful clothes barring his work clothes. He didn't want to tell Steve he didn't like the uniform.

After changing, Rainer had a very important thought. 'what do I do now?'. The dark room he was in seemed... endless. There didn't seem to be a way out and all that was in here were the mirrors.

Maybe I could draw the mirrors to pass the time, he thought. But I don't have anything to draw with.

As if responding to his thoughts, a drawing tablet and a stylus pen fell next to him from seemingly nowhere. The werewolf noticed this and raised a brow.

It was curious how this room seemed to want to give him everything he wanted, but Rainer payed it little mind. It was cool, but there was little he wanted.

Then suddenly a word echoed through his mind viciously and that word was "WIN".

Win what? Thought Rainer in confusion. There's nothing here.

The word continued to echo through his mind non-stop to an annoying level as a new instinct in his body kicked in. An overwhelming instinctual desire for victory. A natural ambition, if you will.

It was so powerful and dizzying that it forced Rainer to clutch his head as he stumbled about in the endless room before his elbow made contact with a mirror.

The mirror immediately reacted and showed a scene Rainer never expected to see. It was Adventure time, the show. Finn and Jake were recklessly fighting some kind of monster.

Rainer raised a brow as curiosity overtook ambition. He took his hand off his hand and walked to another mirror before tapping it with his finger...or his fingernail. The mirror reacted and showed another scene from the world of Adventure Time.

And so, Rainer decided to test many more mirrors and they all showed alternate universes of Adventure Time. This meant that, somehow someway, he was in the show. It was his favorite show. He grew up on it.

But why me? Rainer thought dejectedly. I'm not special or anything. I've been outright told I'm boring multiple times.

Before Rainer could ask another question, he heard a roar come from behind him. The wolf boy turned around immediately to see a giant transparent white furred wolf staring him down. The wolf's legs let out an ethereal mist that even Rainer had to admire. Its cosmic figure looked...majestic to say the least. The beast raised its mouth to the air to roar.

"WIIIIIIIIN" The wolf roared loudly, sending Rainer into the air and into one of the mirrors.

But instead of the mirror breaking, it swallowed Rainer whole sending him into another world for the second time.

The idea of Rainer is that since Fionna and Cake dream of a magical one while Simon is dreaming of a mundane one, he doesn't dream. The worst of both worlds, babeyyyyy! Sad little wolf boy.

His reaction to magic and being trapped in an endless room filled with mirrors is dull and that's the point. He's someone who doesn't have a spark inside him. He wouldn't care if you threw him in a meat grinder, he'll just stay there or will get out and never address what happened.

Also, he's the genderbent version of the Werewolf Queen. The character is only mentioned by the worm professor in the episode "The Real You" and is never mentioned again or shown on screen.

The reason I'm portraying his werewolfism as a result of a spirit that desires victory is because Werewolf Queen supposedly always wins. Plus, we already have a werewolf spirit of inquiry and bloodlust that gave us the why-wolves so the spirit route it's not unheard of.

Also. Behold, the terrible meme i made that is basically how i came up with this character.

"Every group has the:

Human adventurer with way too many problems.

Talking animal with stretching powers.

Emotionally traumatized artist who used to be somewhat human but now is a shapeshifting creature that can create more of its kind via biting.

A mentally unwell smart person who is commonly associated with one of the four elements and royalty."

Tell me if I should make more.

Toodles.
