"I'm leaving this Log so no one will be confused about my actions." I spoke into the microphone.

"My Name is Peter Benjamin Parker, and this is my story. I was not born of this world. I lived an entirely different life in another world only to wind up here somehow."

….

My head hurt like nothing I'd ever felt before. It took a minute for my eyes to focus and when everything cleared, I saw General Ross standing in the doorway.

"How are you feeling Captain?" he asked.

"Like I had a building dropped on me." I groaned.

"Well seeing as you did have part of one drop on you I'd say that's Understandable." He said with a bit of a smirk.

"Are the others alright?" I asked worried about my friends but knowing what was coming.

"The Support staff is all find Doctor Ross was hurt but she will make a full recovery. Banner however is another matter."

"He disappeared after the accident. We are trying to find him but right now we aren't having much luck." He lied through his teeth.

"When can we get back into the lab sir?" I asked.

Ross shook his head. "Your being discharged Captain, I'm afraid your injuries make it so you won't pass the Marine Physical again and since your hitch is almost up you are going to medically retired. I'm sorry Son." Ross told me. The look in his eyes telling me he was more upset about Bruce disappearing them me being retired.

"I Understand Sir. Could I have a few minutes sir?" I asked.

Ross nodded. "I Understand Soldier."

He left the room to give me some space.

"What an asshole." I mumbled under my breath as I started to mentally make plans as to what I was going to be doing now that I was going to be leaving the Marines.

I entered this world just after Peter had been bitten by the Spider. I was unsure how I the hell I got here and because I got here I had to be sure which world I was in. Based on what I found I had to be in what can only be described as a hybrid world between the Comic Book version of Marvel and the MCU. I figured this out as in a Year Book I had found it Peter's room he had been classmates with Jessica Jones like in the Comics. But Obadiah Stane was in the Number 2 Slot at Stark Enterprises and Tony looked a lot like Robert Downey Jr. Once I settled into my new life I knew Thanos would be coming and I would need to do something.

So I had joined the Marines Post 9/11 so I could get the Training I would need for the future, but as the old saying goes Man makes Plans and God laughs. I had hoped to move towards Special Forces training had even become friendly with one of my Drill instructors a young Frank Castle in hopes of getting into Special Force training. But in this world because Peter pulled a Doogie Howser and graduated with Doctorates in Engineering and Biochemistry basically meaning I had the combined skill set of FitzSimmons. I was nabbed by Thunderbolt Ross and drafted into his project. Which in all things being equal wasn't a bad thing.

Bruce and I got on all right and it gave me access to his Tech and Notes and let me copy all his research so I could hopefully help him down the road. Plus, after nearly two years of working together, we had become such good friends that he fixed me up with his cousin Jennifer when she visited him while we were working together. Not a bad experience all in all. I had connections with 2 Future Heroes and 1 Anti-Hero, I had Marine Basic Combat training and contacts I had made as part of the project to call on to help me work towards becoming Spider-Man and a major bonus was that I was able to avoid the Death of Uncle Ben. I had found the treasure Box of Dutch Malone and was able to save some of the Money and dusting it for fingerprints I was able to prove that it was Malone's lost loot. The Story made the Papers so I canceled the Burglar's need to come to the house. And by not trying the Wrestling stuff Peter had I was able to keep Uncle Ben away from the City and keep him from being shot in a Carjacking like in the Spider-Man movie.

But now I was going home, and I was going to on my own. I still have about 4 years and change until Iron Man will show up. But for right now I need to get back on to NY and get to work.

Returning home to NY was something else. When I got off the Bus Aunt May and Uncle Ben were there the pride in their eyes was something else.

"Welcome Home Peter." May smiled as she gave me a hug that could realign my spine.

"We are so proud of you Peter." Uncle Ben said with a smile as he grabbed my ruck.

"Thanks Uncle Ben. It's nice to be home." I smiled.

"What would you like to do first?" May asked.

Peter smiled.

"I Need to stop and pay a visit to a friend let him know I got out ok." I told them.

As we pulled up to the house I asked them to wait in the Car. Heading up to the walk I could hear Frank and his wife Maria playing with their kids. I was nice to hear knowing what would be happening in a few years. I could only hope I could find someway to prevent it from happening.

Knocking on the door I smiled when Frank answered it.

"Hey Frank how's it going?" I smiled.

And as God as my Witness, I swear what happened next actually happened.

"Kid." He smiled and pulled me into a hug.

"You had me worried Peter." Frank said in a no-nonsense voice as he pulled back.

"Sorry brother not my intention. But with all the Top Secret stuff being banded around I knew I'd have to let you know in person that I was alright."

"Frank who is this?" asked Maria Castle.

Frank turned to his wife and smiled.

"This is the kid I told you about Peter here is the young genius that I trained, he joined up on his 17th Birthday. But the Kid already had two Doctorates by the time he was 14."

"And yet you joined the Marines?" Maria Asked.

"Well I don't like boats so the Navy was out, My Uncle is Ex-Army and I've taken enough orders from him, My Family is prone to hemorrhoids so the chair force was out and I didn't make the 6Ft Height requirement a the time so the Coast Guard was out."

"Height requirement?" Maria asked.

"Yeah this why if you fall off the boat you can walk back to shore." Frank answered with a smirk.

Maria just laughed.

"What can I say Marines we live to take the Piss on the Other Branches." I said with a smile.

"Yes, I've heard that somewhere before" she said looking at Frank.

I looked back at Frank.

"I heard you'd been asking about me when I got hurt but because of the Secret Nature of the Project they wouldn't answer you. But since you looked after me in Basic I owed it to you let you know I was ok."

Frank gave me another hug. "Thanks kid it's a load off my mind that you're ok."

After introducing Aunt May and Uncle Ben to the Castle Family and swapping a few Boot Camp stories with Frank and Maria we headed home.

Once we got back to Queens I found Aunt May had a feast made for Dinner.

After Dinner we all sat in the living room.

"So Pete do you have any plans as to what you are going to do now that you're out of the Military?"

I nodded. "Yes, Uncle Ben I do. Another Soldier I met during my time in hooked me up with a friend of his. The three of us are going to go into Business. We have bought a Building in Manhattan and we are going to set up shop there. We are going to make better gear to Protect Soldiers and we are going to also work on making better prosthetics for people who need them. It's our way to give back to the service and to keep helping people."

May was over the moon about the idea. Ben liked it as well.

"You both taught me that if I can do something to make life better for people then I should do it. After spending time in Uniform and meeting honest to God Heroes. I can't think of better way to help them then using the gifts God gave me to make their lives safer and easier."

"Peter just when I think I couldn't be more proud of you." May smiled near tears as she hugged me.

All and all my first day home had been a good one.

….

After taking a few days to relax and rest like I was expected to, I headed into Manhattan.

I wasn't lying to May, and Ben I really did have plans with some friends. Roger Bochs and Madison Jefferies. Known in Marvel Comics as Members of Alpha Flight. With Madison using his Mutant Powers to help build our fabrication gear. We were going to introduce a new type of Material to the Government. Spider Silk we could make a Uniform bulletproof without the need of a flack vest. And this was just one project. We had a dozen or so ready to go. Patents already approved thanks to my Lawyer

Veteran-Tec opened our doors with a public display and public showing of our new wares.

I even got Frank to come in to show off his Range skills. He got to show off what a Bad Ass he was in front of his family, He was happy. The Government buyers were lining up to test our gear for themselves. Bullet Proof Uniforms, a Special gel that we had created that absorbed Energy like Vibranium only not as well. We used it in a re designed Bomb Tech suit. And blew up an IED and showed how this type of Bomb suit would protect an EDO Tech from a Blast that would normally turn them in a pink vapor.

When out show ended. We had Orders that would see our company grow quite rapidly. Plus when word got out that our company was founded by Veterans and we were making it stuff to make our Service Men and Women safer. The Press was all over us. But in a good way. It's what lead to my first Official Contact with SHIELD.

Agent Kate Neville sat in my new office.

"Mr. Parker I'm Agent Kate Neville of the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistics Division."

"Boy somebody really wanted your initials to spell SHIELD, didn't they?" I spoke.

She laughed.

"Most likely true."

"What can Veteran-Tec do for you Agent Neville?"

"My Director was very interested in your products but as he likes to Point out SHIELD is the tip of the Spear and he wants to know if it would be possible for you to create a special line of gear for a team of our agents that are going into extreme dangers. They are the SHIELD answer to Spec Ops. The Director would like you to kit them out in Gear that would have to withstand some serious extremes."

"Do you have a list as to what you would need these suits to deal with?"

Kate nodded and passed me over a file.

Looking it over I could see they were looking to outfit The Black Widow and Hawkeye plus a few other agents.

"I Don't think it will be a problem give me a few weeks to get the designs set and I will have the Prototypes ready for you to test."

As she left, I gave a little chuckle. The suits she wanted designed were almost exactly what I had designed for myself to use as Spider-man. Minus several of the more inventive modifications I had designed.

After Agent Neville left, I opened my desk and activated our bug detector. I trusted SHIELD as much as I trusted as I could throw a tank at this point and to utter lack of Surprise I found a Wireless Transmitter under the seat Agent Neville had just been sitting in. Trust SHIELD to have no trust and to want leverage over everyone.

I sat in the Company Lounge with Frank, Madison and Rogers a case of Soda and a few Pizza boxes between the four of us.

Holding up my bottle of Black Cherry Soda I smiled at them. "Gentlemen a toast to Veteran-Tec and giving our boys and girls the best chance we can to coming home whole."

"Fucking A right." Frank smiled.

"Well put Peter." Roger added.

Madison just saluted me with his own bottle as he had a mouth full of Pizza.

"And Kid I just wanted to say thanks. I got to show off in front of my family today and show them that being a Marine isn't just about fighting the good fight it's about helping our brothers and sisters in any way we can."

I nodded to Frank and handed him an envelope.

"What's this?" he asked.

"Dinner for you and your wife on us as a thank you for working with us today. You got to show off for your girl and now you get to wine and dine her and bank a little something for the next time you do something that upsets her." I smirked.

He busted out in a full belly laugh.

"I'll remember that one kid."

"It's a fact of life brother a man will inevitably piss off his woman at some point. This is just so she will have some good memories to soften over when is mad at you."

"Kid you might just be the smartest man I have ever met." He laughed.

….

It felt nice to give Frank and his wife some good memories. After the others left, I cleaned up and then went to my office and opened a secret compartment. In the compartment was my suit. Specially made for me. It's my best creation everything I could think of I put into this suit. James Bond Wishes he had something this good. But I have to admit is scares me. I've put all this time into living my life as best I could trying to prepare for the time when I would become Spider-Man but now that the time is here I'm just not sure I'm ready for that and I don't know if I ever will be.

….

Wrong place Wrong Time

It's amazing how something can happen that up ends your world completely and makes you pull you head out of your ass. It's like the Universe coming along and giving you a good swift kick in the ass.

My problem was that I felt I wasn't ready to be Spider-Man.

The Universe decided that I was wrong.

I had a business meeting my first with an investment group in the Walpyle Building.

My first clue that something was going to happen was the Name of the Investment Group I was going to speak with was the Nakatomi Group and their offices were on the 30th Floor. And if that wasn't enough the Gentleman I had an appointment with was Mr. Hiro Takagi. You can see where this was going to go.

The meeting went well and all but I had this nagging feeling that something was off. It wasn't my Spider-Sense going off it was something else.

We had just wrapped up our meeting I was leaving with proposal for investment that I would be taking back to Roger and Madison. I had just reached the hallway heading for the elevator when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

Turning around I smiled as I saw Trish Walker.

"Peter I thought that was you." She smiled as she pulled me in for a quick hug.

"Hey Trish how are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm ok just having a meeting with my stockbroker. What are you doing here last Jess and I heard you had joined the Marines?"

"Yep did my time and created a start up with some friends. I was here speaking to a potential investor."

Trish's eyes widened. "Any chance you might be willing to come on my show and talk about it?" she asked with a small smirk

"I don't know I'll have to talk to my partners about it." I told her politely

"Come on I'll even give you Jessica's phone number if you agree to it." She told me.

"Trish as you trying to fix me up with Jessica again?" I smiled.

"You were the best boyfriend she ever had."

"Trish we dated for 9 weeks. And we were 13."

"True but you were the only guy that's been good enough for my sister is so wrong to try and get her a little something while I work my magic and get you to appear on my show?"

Any response was cut off by the sound of Gunfire letting off down the hall.

Grabbing Trish I dropped us to the ground at the sound Marine Training kicking in.

Checking the hall and seeing the Gunmen coming down the hall and seeing the Stairwell door I bolted and pulled Trish with me.

Before we could make a run for it I heard the sound of boots running up the Metal Stairs. Looking over the Railing I could see gun barrels sticking out and the sound of boots getting closer.

"We got go now." I told her as I forced her up the stairs heading up to the Next floor.

This was not good.
