At Shun's apartment, Shun and Kai were asleep in their bed, Kai holding Shun from behind and Shun hugging Kai's arm. It was then that banging could be heard on the front door and Shun stirred in his sleep. The banging continued and Shun eventually whined,"Who could be here at this hour?"
Shun got out of bed, Kai also waking up and doing the same. He put on some women's pajama shorts and an oversized navy blue t-shirt before going to the door and asking,"Who is it?"
"It's me Shun, open the damn door now!",Vicky shouted with great concern. Shun opened the door and he gasped at the sight of Vicky holding Daiji up, her hand and left side of her shirt having blood on it. Vicky moved Daiji into Shun's apartment and she set him down in a chair while saying,"Don't just stand there, get a first aid kit or something."
"V, I'll be… fine.",Daiji said drowsily, beginning to close his eyes. Vicky cupped Daiji's face and hysterically said,"Nonononono, Daiji stay awake. Stay with me okay. Shun hurry up!"
Shun put his first aid kit on the table and quickly took out items to clean Daiji's wound while saying,"What happened to Daiji-kun?"
"He was fighting my brother and he got stabbed, I can explain later just help me keep him alive!",Vicky yelled, becoming extremely worried by Daiji's wound while cleaning it. Kai, who had now put on his jeans, walked over to Daiji and he looked at his hand. He then got closer to Daiji and put his hand out to Daiji's wound and it began glowing red.
Daiji called out in pain, slamming his fist into Shun's table and almost kicking Kai. Vicky pushed Kai back and said,"Quit it Kai you're hurting him!"
Vicky then went back to tending to Daiji.
Half an hour later, Daiji was now sleeping on Shun's couch with a large bandage over the portion of his abdomen where his wound is. Vicky sat beside Daiji on a kitchen chair, stroking his hair as he slept.
"I was trying to make Daiji's blood clot faster. I am sorry for not saying it to you.",Kai said bluntly while bowing to Vicky. Vicky turned to Kai and Shun while saying with regret,"I am the one who should be sorry, Kai. I snapped at you and I shouldn't have."
"It is okay.",Kai bluntly replied.
"Vicky-san, how did this happen to Daiji-kun?",Shun asked with his voice and face showing his concern.
"I wasn't there for all of it but he was fighting Ren and he got stabbed. I think he went there because Ren had texted saying he wanted me to meet him and I was asleep so I didn't hear.",Vicky said while beginning to cry. Shun went to Vicky and he hugged her saying,"Vicky-san, it will be okay." in a comforting manner.
Vicky cried for a moment but stopped when she felt Daiji weakly grab onto her hand. She looked at Daiji, seeing he was still fast asleep. Vicky gained a warm smile while sitting down and holding his hand in both of hers.
At an unknown place, Ren was placed onto a metal table with his cardigan being taken off of him. The mysterious man reached into the pockets of Ren's cardigan, pulling out three buckles before tossing the garb onto a near by hook.
"Hmm, you were chosen as the avatar of the Moon yet you have the buckles of that, Data, and Magma.",This mysterious man said while placing the buckles on a sink area. He then went to a cabinet and opened it while saying,"Let's see if I can make you a more efficient means of utilizing these trophies."
"Aurum Turpis.",Ren said in a deeper, more sinister sounding tone.
"Oh, that's where you have been, old friend.",the mysterious man, now named Aurum, said. "Inside this young man."
"Do not insult me. I am merely inhabiting this child because I have no other choice. If it were up to me he'd be dead.",Ren said, his eyes still being closed.
"That does sound like your usual behavior. So, I assume you have made yourself known to me because you have a request.",Aurum asked while appearing to be going through a tool box.
"I do. I want a buckle to be made for this boy, one where I shall be able to use his power and body freely. Can you perform this task?"
"Heh, my friend, you know that I am always able to deliver on a request.",Aurum said with a jovial deviousness.
The next morning at Shun's apartment, Daiji groaned in his sleep then he woke up to see that he was in Shun's apartment on the couch. He tried to sit up but felt a weight on him and looked to his left to see Vicky sleeping next to him, holding his hand while her head laid on his abdomen. Daiji looked at Vicky and he slowly sat up, wincing as he did so then he softly said,"V,"
Vicky awoke slowly and looked at Daiji before saying,"Daiji, you're awake." while moving her hair out of her face and smiling.
"Yeah, how'd we get to Shun's place?",Daiji asked while looking around.
"I drove us here last night, don't you remember?"Vicky answered.
"Not really. After I got stabbed and you blasted Ren back, everything got fuzzy.",Daiji admitted, unconsciously touching his wound. Vicky became saddened by this and she looked down at her feet while saying,"I'm sorry I didn't get there sooner."
"Don't be. If anything I should be sorry for looking on your phone and going to meet Ren without telling you.",Daiji said apologetically.
Vicky scoffed then she gained a small smile,"That was pretty stupid of you to do. Thankfully it was also kinda sweet considering you did it for me."
Daiji chuckled, then he smirked nervously,"Well, I couldn't let that guy torment you like he has been. Frankly after hearing him talk, I really wanna beat the crap out of him."
"Eh, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't help you.",Vicky said with a giddy smile. Daiji and Vicky laughed while looking at one another. Their gazes met and they smiled at one another. This went on until the two looked over at a door to see Kai and Shun exit it wearing bathrobes and with Shun drying his hair.
Shun looked at Vicky and Daiji and said with a smile,"Ah, glad to see you're awake Daiji-kun."
"Hey Shun, were you and Kai in there together?",Daiji asked.
Shun looked at Kai briefly then back at Daiji,"Yes, I usually take showers with Kai-chan so we don't use all of the hot water."
Daiji nodded, then he said,"Well V and I should get going."
Vicky helped Daiji to stand and the two went to the door, put on their shoes and left while saying goodbye. As they exited Shun and Kai's apartment building, Daiji and Vicky slowly began holding hands with Vicky interlocking their fingers.
Inside a gray car, Ren slept in the front until he awoke and groggily said,"Ow, what was that?"
He then looked around with confusion,"How'd I end up in my car?"
Ren shook his head before reaching into his pocket for his keys and finding they weren't there. He groaned in annoyance then began searching for his keys, eventually opening the glove compartment to find them. Ren sighed, taking his keys but he also saw a note in it.
"Had to drop you off here. Didn't want you ruining my place when you woke up. Don't try to contact me, I will find you once I am ready to see you. Just know that I am an ally of sorts and that I shall help you gain the power you seek. Till we meet again, Aurum Turpis.",Ren read aloud. He sat back in his seat with a raised eyebrow,"Who's Aurum Turpis?"
Ren tossed the letter in the backseat and drove away.
