Tam lost control of every part of his body, shaking, then convulsing, blood choking him out. His consciousness took him to a place only telepaths could see, the inside of his mind. His mind broke.
He'd heard of this, seen it even, but not like this. He couldn't feel, couldn't breathe, couldn't move, but he could see. "Gisela! What did you do!" Ruy screamed, jumping away from Tam's black blood. "It's.. It's.. amazing!" Gisela gasped, dropping to the floor trying to collect the blood in a jar she had grabbed. "What is happening!?" Ruy yelled, cornered by the blood. "We have to study it! We can't let it get contaminated!"
Slowly the blood trickled to a stop and Gisela and Ruy (well Ruy with Gisela telling him what to do) picked up Tam and dragged him to another room. While in his mind Tam crawled back to consciousness, gasping for breath. "Gisela, he's awake, what do I do?" Ruy said, dropping Tam. "Oww!" Tam said. "Tie him up you imbecile!" Gisela yelled from another room. "That's her pet name for me," Ruy said "isn't it sweet?" "Mmh hmm," Tam mumbled. Take a hint man! He thought.
"Inject him again for all I care," Gisela screamed from the other room. "My love, are you coming soon?" Ruy antsily said. "Give me a minute!" She scolded, "I'm trying to clean up the blood you were too afraid of to touch!" Great, she's gonna use my blood for some hairbrained idea. "What are you doing with me," Tam whispered "I don't really know, I'm just supposed to tie you to these vines like the rest," Ruy said clueless. That's when Tam saw Linh, Biana, and Fitz hanging from black thorny vines. Striped down to their undergarments. The vines slowly contracted, almost breathing.
