Memories will never ever fade
If you love the person with whom they were made.

Bridgette sighed and wiped her forehead. The weather was cold but The blonde was feeling very flustered and sweaty. Dizzy with nausea she gripped the bathroom door and knelt to the floor.
"Lindsay?" she called. "Can you come here please?"
Footsteps ran upstairs toward the bathroom and Bridgette noticed a pair of dark pink knee high boots beside her.
"Bridgette" Lindsay knelt down tapped her shoulder and asked her if she had taken the test yet.
"I was waiting for you" Bridgette smiled.
Lindsay held out her pregnancy test.
"Ive been feeling sick for days".. She sighed happily.
It was true, both women had been experiencing what were to be later known as common symptoms in early pregnancy.
"It was only last year we walked down the aisle," Bridgette said. Remembering their double wedding to Geoff and Tyler.
"Sometimes, we get what we wish for" Lindsay said, then started to cough.
Bridgette patted her friend's back.
Lindsay had her hair tied back, unusual for the carefree blonde 23-year-old.
"Linds? Are you okay?" Bridgette gasped as she asked.
Lindsay started weeping. "I wanted to wait and take it with you," she said through her tears. "But Tyler was worried, so we went to the drug store and then he called the doctor."
She held her hand over her mouth.
Bridgette held her friend's hair and helped her throw up into the toilet.
"Lindsay...that's wow." "Congratulations!"
She patted her best friend's shoulder gently.
Lindsay wiped her mouth and smiled at Bridgette.
"Thank you" "I guess Im gonna be a Mommy" she said teary eyed.
Bridgette smiled and started feeling queasy again.
"I should probably take this test," Bridgette realized she hadn't had her period in two months.
Weeks or months either.
"Do you want me to wait here for you?" Lindsay offered.
Bridgette was touched by her friend's kindness.
"Honey, your face is turning green and you're sweating a lot."... "I can't make you stay here; you need the hospital."
"I want to stay with you," she panted. "Then I'll go."
Lindsay's eyes were closing and her skin was pale, except for her face, which had a greenish tint.
Bridgette could not, in good conscience, take the test; Lindsay was extremely sick. She looked as if she were going to fade away in her pink-and-white sundress with a bandana around her head.
She said, "I'm calling Tyler and Geoff." Bridgette quickly punched numbers into her smartphone.
Lindsay lay in Bridgette's bed wearing only a bra and silk nightie. She kept her knees covered with a thin cotton sheet to ward off the chill. The online MD had recommended ice packs, cold compresses for her forehead, and a thermometer under her tongue.
Hey Tyler, it's me. Yeah, congratulations. No, she's not okay. She's very sick, actually. I've been checking online and it sounds a lot like the early sickness you get in early pregnancy.
"No, it's not that Tyler," she sighed, looking over at her sweet friend.
I've called the paramedics off course they have your details. Yeah it's called Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a pregnancy illness.
No, she won't die," Bridgette said through tears in her eyes as she thought about losing her best friend from high school.
Geoff was still working. Okay, so I'll see you at the hospital. Yeah, I need a test too. Tyler. Aww, thank you. Your wife is my best friend. I care a hell of a lot about her. She feels the same way about me. I know she would do anything for us. Bridgette agreed. My turn to help. See you there. Thanks, Tyler.
Bridgette held the phone to Lindsay's ear so she could murmur Tyler's name.
"Baby it's gonna be okay" he voiced into the phone. "Im on my way to the hospital and you and our Baby are going to be perfectly fine" ...
Lindsay smiled. "I love you, Tyler."
He said, "You too, babe." He was clearly concerned, but he didn't want it to be apparent in his tone of voice.
When the ambulance finally arrived, Lindsay was wheeled into the van, hooked up to an IV, and given a series of blood tests.
Bridgette was checked over and had her symptoms explained to her. She was given two blood tests and a blood pressure check, while Lindsay was hooked up to saline as well as a protein drip.
Bridgette held her friend's hand the whole way. She wore a fluffy blue coat over jeans because she wasn't feeling too hot or sweaty anymore. Bridgette's HCG levels were also measured in the blood test, along with her hypoglycemic levels.
At the Hospital
Tyler came bursting in through the doors of the pre-natal ward, which was painted dark blue with a few painted white clouds and rainbows.
"Lindsay" the brunette malr yelled. He was hushed by the two midwives abd one nurse attending to Lindsay laying in a white hospital gown. The handed Tyler Lindsay's clothing and Bandana and informed the junior basketball player that his Wife was in her fourth week of pregnancy and indeed suffering from Hypermisis Gravadium which is a severe physical condition that affects certian women in their first and second (sometimes third) trimesters of pregnancy.
Your wife is a very slim woman; her iron levels are low too. She will need to be kept in hospital for at least the first eight weeks of her pregnancy. The tall redheaded nurse explained. If her symptoms clear up by then, your wife will be able to go home. However, she will need someone at the house to care for her since you work, as I understand that is the case.
Tyler nodded and ran to Lindsay's bedside. Kneeling beside her, he vowed to be there by her side once his practices were over for the day.
Lindsay felt a bit lighter after receiving the saline and protein. She smiled at her husband, who was still sweating in his red and white jacket and sweatpants. The silver chain around his neck had an L-shaped silver charm for Lindsay.
He clasped her hand and kissed it gently.
He whispered into her ear, "I'm here, baby, I'm here every night."
Lindsays face had returned to normal shade of pinkish beige. To Tyler she was the most beautiful creature in the world laying on thst hospital bed, her long sleek legs crept through the white night gown. He adored het hips, big breasts which grew as the weeks went on with milk for their future baby, that appeared healthy and vibrant in scans. Her golden hair still sent him into a trance as it did when he was an aspiring athlete in highschool drooling over his girlfriends hot legs and long hair swaying back and forth over her pink pleated skirt and sneakers. He cast his mind back to their wedding when she said "I do" under the row of cherry blossoms. Bridgette stiod beside her where Geoff voiced the same words of love and devotion.
Bridgette knelt beside Lindsay snd promised to visit her everyday because she too was expecting a surprise.
"You're…you are," Lindsay couldn't finish the words.
Bridgette nodded as Geoff wrapped his arms around her. He looked handsome in a black button-down shirt and green khaki shorts.
That's right, Linds." We are going to be parents too.
Tyler kissed Lindsay on the cheek gently, and Bridgette gave her a large hug.
Geoff hugged his wife happily while Tyler congratulated them both.
He grinned and said, "That's awesome."
Best buds, next-door neighbors and baby buddies.
Geoff gave a high five to Tyler. He then gently stroked Lindsay's arm while Tyler hugged Bridgette.
"Congratulations," he said as he squeezed her tight.
Thanks!
Geoff knelt beside Lindsay, who was smiling at the news.
"I' hope you feel better really soon Linds" "we are all here for you" he kissed his friend on the hand. Lindsay blushed and looked kindly at the three most important people in her life.
It won't be long until we have two little ones in this circle of ours.
Tyler, who was holding her hand the whole time, agreed with excitement.
"Yeah, babe," he winked.
Bridgette then placed a cup of milk by Lindsay's bedside for her to drink. "Apparently, the sicker you are during pregnancy, the healthier the baby is," Bridgette had looked that up on the OBGYN Weekly. They both had the Baby Growth app so they could monitor the size, dimensions, and week of their babies' development.
"Week Five" Bridgette said, showing the screen to Geoff. Lindsay giggled as Tyler showed her theirs. "Look babe, ours is a pea." Week Six and a half, nearly seven weeks.
Bridgette was so excited that her best friend was experiencing the same thing at the same time as her; she just felt concerned for her best friend's health and wellbeing.
As the night progressed and sank into morning, Tyler had to leave after getting her some crackers and light milk. Kissing each other goodbye, Tyler promised he'd be back after work. He was on his way to becoming a pretty talented basketball player, and Lindsay was proud of him for that.
The beautiful blonde with striking looks and figure would be putting her modelling career on hold. Judging by how fickle the industry was, she may never be able to break back into it after having children. However, she did have a knack for make-up and nails. Lindsay often painted nails and painted people's faces for prom nights, weddings, and special events from the comfort of her own home. Her longtime friend and web designer, Beth, had also created a very profitable business for Lindsay online.
Unfortunately, she was unable to do much of anything during her tedious, painful, and emotionally exhausting pregnancy. Lindsay was very unwell during the first trimester and was released from the hospital at 18 weeks. After a few bad days and sick mornings, Geoff's active wife was running every morning and looking after their beautiful townhouse. At 20 weeks, Lindsay was put on bed rest, but she was allowed to visit Bridgette and Geoff. Tyler, for the first time ever, had to be strict on his carefree sweetheart Lindsay because she was so unwell. At halfway through, only a small bump protruded through her silky pink dress over her small maternity jeans in light blue. Lindsay always looked made-up. Bridgette helped by brushing her friend's hair, placing matching rose petal earrings in each other's ears, and using the same light pink lipstick on one another. They both wore blue bandanas to go with their stretchy jeans and silky dresses.
"Thanks for helping me get ready today," Lindsay kindly said, sipping on juice. She had been craving pure orange juice ever since she hit her 12th week. Bridgette was guzzling apple and pineapple juice. The smell of coffee made them both nauseous, which was good.
"Cheesy pizza for dinner tonight!" Bridgette cheered.
"Yes!" Lindsay clapped. "Ooh, I should probably sit down again," she said, feeling queasy.
Bridgette sympathetically nodded and laid her friend down on the spare bed.
"Lots of cheese" "Lots of juice" Bridgette grinned.
Lindsay agreed and closed her eyes.
"So we'll find out today... Boy or girl?"
Lindsay's eyes fluttered open. A cold cloth was pressed against her forehead.
Bridgette smiled and thought of the possibility of her and Lindsay both having girls or boys, or even better, one boy and one girl.
They didn't have to think for long.
By the time Friday afternoon came, a beautiful spring day with daffodils, roses and blossoms all around, new life was in bloom or new gender as it was to be revealed.
Bridgette and Lindsay held hands and watched together as cooling gel was applied to their stomachs.
The free health care plus extra insurance covered the two scans at once for the best friends. Geoff clasped Bridgette's free hand while Tyler held his weak but beautiful wife Lindsay's soft hand.
"You're doing so well, sweetheart," he said. "I can't believe we've made it this far." He leaned in and pecked her on the cheek.
The sonographer was able to perform a scan on both babies. The room was dark blue, comfortable and Bridgette waited with bated breath as Lindsay, two weeks ahead of her in pregnancy, was told sweetly that their baby was healthy, no signs of physical abnormalities or chromosome issues. "Lindsay and Tyler Kennard, you're all set to have a healthy, vibrant little girl."
All four friends gasped.
Tyler looked at his wife and they both teared up a little. "A girl?" she asked. He smiled. Tyler wrapped his arms around his wife in happiness.
Bridgette squeezed Lindsay's hand.
Geoff congratulated the two parents-to-be.
"Awesome stuff, you two." He smiled.
Then it was Bridget's turn.
Her and Geoff gasped as the sonographer announced another healthy vibrant ten fingers and toes...what looked to be baby Boy"
"Oh my gosh, yay!" Lindsay cheered. Tyler kissed Lindsay again, just because he could.
Geoff hugged Bridgette and they embraced in a warm embrace.
Lindsay and Bridgette looked at each other, holding their sonogram photos.
"A boy and a girl" They cheered.
They're going to be best friends, Lindsay squealed.
Bridgette agreed. "Aww, how adorable will that be?"
Geoff drove the group home while Limday fell asleep on Tyler in the backseat. Her head resting against his firm muscled shoulder.
The night sky darkened from purple to navy blue as Geoff drove toward the takeout place. "It's going to be great," Bridgette beamed happily. Geoff agreed and ordered burgers and fries with juice and soda to take home.
By the time Lindsay woke up, she was starving. "Thank you for the burgers," she said, feeling her stomach rumble.
Tyler felt his wife's stomach. "Hey, babe," he said. "That's not your stomach rumbling, that's ... that's our girl." He grinned happily. "She's kicking."
Lindsay threw her hands into the air excitedly.
She's kicking.
Lindsay looked at Geoff and Bridgette halfway through their meal.
"You're welcome to feel Bubba kick."
She was kneeling on the carpet, her soft purple dress covering her stockings and pink ankle boots. Bridgette could feel the kicking through the bump under Lindsay's velvet dress.
"We will need to get the nursery done," Tyler explained. "Our parents have both offered to help as well as Lindsay's older sister, Paula."
Oh Geoff, we need to do ours too." Do you think your family will help?
Geoff rubbed Lindsay's belly and felt her little girl kick. "Wow, soccer player, gymnast, who knows," the blonde man giggled.
Bridgette nudged her husband again.
"Sorry, babe," Geoff said as he moved his hand to touch his wife's small bump.
We have family and can also hire someone who can help us build the crib, change table, stroller; it will all be fine, he assured her with a kiss.
I'd love to be able to paint and build all the things we need for our girl," Lindsay sighed.
Bridgette held her hand and kissed it gently.
Stop it, you're not well enough to be doing any of that stuff," Tyler said as he wrapped his arms around Lindsay and kissed her forehead gently.
"You's very sick right now, baby." He said, stroking her hair and kissing her cheek. "We know you can paint a kick-ass wall and build a crib," he added. Stroking her hair and kissing her cheek, he reassured his wife that once they had their baby girl in their arms, she wouldn't feel so wretched anymore or be throwing up weekly, like Lindsay was finding herself doing with her head over the toilet, Tyler holding her hair back on Friday evenings after 9:30 pm, like clockwork.
Unfortunately for Lindsay, the illness didn't ease up and as her stomach grew and baby girl went from a peanut to an orange, the stunning blonde was no longer able to go for long walks with her husband or cook dinner. Chopping vegetables was enough for Lindsay to feel dizzy and faint on the kitchen floor. Daily chores, everyday activities and doing what she loved like nail art and makeup were put on hold. Lindsay was bedridden from 22 weeks until 33 weeks where she started to feel less nauseous, not as faint and wasn't in need of a specialist at the house daily to administer fluids and vitamins that her body was rejecting by her throwing up.
Tyler was fantastic and Bridgette visited every single day, often spending the weekends since they lived next door. When Tyler and Geoff were working, Bridgette would lay next to her best friend and they'd compare baby bumps. They'd feel each other's kicks and discuss names and birth plans.
"I'ts been such an easy ride im going for a natural birth" Bridgette stated, sipping on her pineapple soda next to her bestfriend laying in Lindsay and Tylers bed.
"That's so cool," she said, but added, "Won't it hurt?" as she slowly scooped up her strawberry sundae.
A home birth would mean using my natural relief methods, but I have high blood pressure so I'll need a hospital birth as well.
She sighed. "I'd rather not have to use an epidural for pain relief." Bridgette winced.
Lindsay rubbed her stomach and sympathetically smiled at her best friend.
"Aww, you'll be fine, Bridge."
Bridgette grinned and felt her own baby boy kicking inside of her. "My little karate kid."
"Karate kids" Lindsay giggled.
They both laughed and imagined the possibility of their two babies growing up to be little karate superstars.
"Uh, so you're coming to my appointment next week?" Lindsay asked, rolling onto her side.
Bridgette faced Lindsay and nodded.
"The OBGYN?" Lindsay asked. "Of course," Bridgette replied, tapping her shoulder gently.
Lindsay clasped her best friend's hand and thanked her.
I'm sick all the time, and the doctor says my insides will be better once my baby girl is born, she said through teary eyes.
Bridgette patted her best friend's tummy, covered in a pink velvet dress while it hailed outside.
"You'll be alright, honey." "We are all here for you."
Bridgette calmed Lindsay's concerns and fears by explaining to her that not only was she loved by Tyler, her high school sweetheart who would do anything for her, but also that her and Geoff were always going to be in Lindsay and Tyler's corner. If Lindsay needed a C-section, then they'd support her through it and be there for her when the procedure was over, and Lindsay would be wheeled out with her baby girl, Tyler standing proudly beside his two precious girls.
Lindsay felt relief at Bridge's kind words.
They hugged and their bumps pressed together.
"So if I need a Caesar salad, Tyler can come in with me?" Lindsay queried.
Bridgette chuckled. "C-section, honey." She smiled. "Yes, Tyler will be there with you, along with the OBGYN surgeon, plus a midwife and two nurses."
"I'm going to need to write that down," Lindsay said, sounding confused and pressing a finger to her red lips.
Bridgette handed her the C-section pamphlet as well as the medical consent form.
"Here you go; the information from the website we looked at earlier, do you recall?"
"Thank you" Lindsay sweetly grinned.
Once Tyler and Geoff returned home, they ordered a meal from a vegetarian restaurant, but Lindsay desperately needed iron, so she ordered beef sirloin steak and spinach with mashed potatoes. Tyler had the same dish with his wife, while Geoff and Bridgette had vegetarian nachos and Bridgette ordered a large strawberry milkshake with whipped cream. Lindsay was hungry, but due to her expanding belly, she was getting full quickly, just like Bridgette by week 35.
Lindsay was admitted to hospital last week and spent seven days in a private ward, being treated very well. She had regular massages, scans of the baby, warm showers while sitting on a pregnancy stool. Tyler massaged oil into his wife's legs, feet and breasts to help prevent stretch marks. The massage also helped calm Lindsay down, and Tyler very much enjoyed massaging his wife's beautiful body.
Her heart rate along with the babies was being monitored on a machine attached to Lindsay's finger. The ECG was printed off and she received regular injections of iron and calcium at 12-hour intervals. The prenatal vitamins were infused via drip, as were the saline when needed.
When the ECG machine revealed the baby was calm with a healthy heart rate, Tyler could massage her and help wash her, which he really enjoyed.
Lindsay gleefully chimed, "This is the best part of being pregnant."
Tyler smiled while massaging her pregnant stomach.
Well, we are both really enjoying this part, so I couldn't agree more, baby. He grinned.
He leaned in to give Lindsay a kiss.
"Besides, you deserve it," his words melted her heart.
Just then Bridgette and Geoff stopped by.
"Hey" Lindsay waved.
"Wow look at you, all pampered like the Queen you are" Geoff said. Bridgette waddled over toward her bestie and gave her a hug. She strained her back a little in doing so. "Be careful Bridge, you're only two weeks behind me" Lindsay warned.
Her best friend rubbed her hand softly and smiled. "It's fine" "We're so close now Linds"
Lindsay started to weep. This was really nearly over. The pregnancy was about to come to an end. Sure it hadn't been an easy one for Lindsay and Bridgette found the last trimester particularly difficult but it had brought the two Best blondes as They. named themselves, even closer together.
They shared Marriage to the men they loved at a double wedding , They both had Husbands who worked in sports they loved, they found homes to live in next door from one another, they shared a mutual love of colours blue, pink and purple. Lindsay loved make up designing nail polish and Bridgette showed her how to use humane cosmetics that were not tested on any animal or insect. They both kept their hair blonde, the colour they were born with only with slight differences in shades and tints.
One of the most crazy coincidental things was the fact these friends managed to get pregnant within two weeks of one another and stranger still, Bridgette went into Labour at 37 weeks which was early but not abnormal. It was quite healthy to have a baby at 37 weeks. This was entirely coincidental however as the 2 of September was when Lindsay had arranged with the OBGYN after her final two week stay in hospital she was unable to continue the pregnancy healthily anymore. Lindsay's body was pressed for time. She had started losing weight, drifting in and out of consciousness and her heart was racing. This terrified not only her Parents bit understandably Tyler who was hounding the nurses and regular Midwife to get the registrar to perform the C section which once A final blood test was taken and their healthy baby girl was fine, just laying bree h across a very tired, unresponsive Lindsay, that afternoon on September 2nd they sped into theatre, where Lindsay was placed under general anaesthesia and a heart monitor.
Tyler had to wear a mask and cap, along with gown next to one registered nurse, one head midwife and a surgeon who was a very skilled obstetrician who performed a delicate incision into Lindsay's stomach diagonally across, completely opposite of the large across the stomach cuts they made in the 80s and 90s to gently remove the baby.
The afternoon...the evening of September 2 would forever change
Best Blondes Brigette and Lindsay's lives forever.
Through a scream, a tear and hours of labour A baby boy was born to Bridgette and Geoff named Taylor Geo
While Lindsay lay asleep like Aurora the sleeping beauty only the agent was Anesthesia, a beautiful girl Kya Rose was born To Tyler and Lindsay.
They did it.!!
