Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognize (Robin Hood BBC, King Arthur Film 2004). The characters and events in this fanfiction are fictitious and any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely for fun and no harm is intended. The links for my research don't work on ff, you'll have to visit either wattpad, or archive of our own for those links that were technically Chapter 6.

I do own Genevieve and the Knight's call signs, neither are to be used without my permission.

Chapter 5: Reunited at last

"Lance, I don't see him! He texted and said he was getting off the plane but he's nowhere to be found. What if something happened to him? What if the people he was gathering data about found out who he really was and have taken him? What if…"

"And you say I'm paranoid? Relax Eve, it's been fifteen minutes since he texted, and you know how long it can take to get off the plane. I'm sure he's just fine, now breathe for God's sake woman; I can't deal with you passing out and your husband attempting to take my head off because you stopped breathing." Lancelot told his sister, and truth be told he liked his head where it was.

"I have every right to be paranoid, you do remember what Guy does for a living right? Look there he is Lance!" Genevieve shouted as she ran over to her husband, causing him to drop his bag and embrace her. 'Oh, how I've missed him!' she thought as she started crying and for once didn't care. Let the world see her being emotional, she'd been through hell and back this past year.

"Shh… It's all right, I'm home now, and you're safe that's all that matters my love." Guy said trying to calm his wife down. He usually was not one for public displays of affection, but for a long stretch this past year, Guy hadn't known if Genevieve was alive or dead. Guy breathed in her scent as he kissed the top of her head, he had missed her so much. He felt comfort in the way that she fit in his embrace so perfectly, with her head just fitting under his chin. Guy rubbed his face along the top of her head, enjoying the soft texture of her long dark hair that fell to her mid-back, he gently tilted up her head and took a moment to stare into those beautiful warm brown eyes, before placing a gentle kiss on her lips.

Genevieve involuntarily flinched and slightly pulled away at the unexpected contact, and she hated herself for it. This was her husband, someone who never had raised a hand to her or made her feel threatened, in fact, it was quite the opposite. "I'm sorry Guy, I didn't mean to flinch. I know you'd never hurt me, I guess being held captive affected me more than I thought." She looked down at her feet, tears filling her eyes as she was ashamed of her actions.

Guys heart broke seeing his wife like this, "Genevieve, look at me please" He waited for his wife to look him in the eyes before continuing. "Never apologize for what happened to you, in no way was it your fault. Your actions are perfectly normal and are your body's subconscious way to avoid injury. When I find out who exactly hurt you, I promise they will pay for their actions. Now let's have no more tears, this is supposed to be a happy reunion, and your brother would never forgive me if I made you cry".

Guy glanced up and saw his brother-in-law and fellow Air Man standing a little way off to give the couple some privacy. Guy untangled himself from his wife's embrace and took her hand in his while grabbing his bag with the other. Once he saw that Genevieve was no longer crying, they walked over to Lancelot who grabbed Guy's bag and gave him a squeeze on the shoulder,

"Thank the Gods you're back, do you know what I've been dealing with since you went on your little vacation? She's been doing nothing but pining about the house and ordering me about like some servant…ow! What was that for?" Lancelot asked his sister, rubbing his arm in mock pain where she had lightly punched him.

"For being an ass, what else?" Genevie stated to her brother before turning her attention back to her husband, "I have not been pining and I am not high maintenance as my dear brother likes to otherwise suggest. If he keeps it up, he may find himself in need of a new place to stay." Genevieve stated in mock anger, she knew her brother was trying to change the mood and didn't mean anything by his words.

Guy laughed, it seemed that all was right again in his world. He had been reunited with his wife after fearing she was lost to him, she seemed to be physically okay, but he had only been with her for a short amount of time. They would need to talk about what happened in the months they were away from each other, but he figured that could wait for now. Guy was brought out of his musings when he heard his wife and brother-in-law arguing over something, he sighed and smiled, 'Somethings never do change' he thought as he was pulled out of his thoughts by the squabbling siblings, he prepared to break them up and maybe attempt a peace treaty, otherwise, this could be a long car ride back to their house.
