My very first fanfic, I'm not expecting this to be that good of a story, but we all have to start somewhere, I am open to advice and criticism.

This story is about the close friendship between Aloy and my male OC, Jamie, which will become something more in the future but that's not the most important thing for a while

After this and the next chapter the story will go back on track with the games story.

This story will mainly be sticking to the original story line of the game for loyalty to to game, but will have things added but I don't want this story to stray off too far from the game.

there will be one or two more chapters introducing Jamie then we will be back into the main story.

I own only my OC Jamie and nothing else.

Along the pathway, a strider running along with a rider, with hair as red as flame, a sight never seen before in the Sacred Lands. The redhead riders name is Aloy.

Aloy, not even a week ago was a motherless outcast from birth, then Brave after wining the proving, then attacked by a unknown group, almost killed herself and now anointed Seeker of the Nora tribe.

There was so much had happened in barely a week. Her plan after helping those in the sacred lands was to get to Meridian and find a man named Olin, he was one of the Oserum part of the Carja envoy that had visited the Nora the day before the Proving, and the group that attacked slaughtered the braves of proving and killed Rost, Aloy's was going to find Olin, find out everything she could get from him. The murdered saw her through Olins focus, But at the same time Aloy also still seek answers of her own, like who was her mother?.

Who was that woman in the hologram, looked like her but older and with shorter hair, was she her mother? The one that cast her out from birth, If so why are they after her, they almost killed Aloy because she looks Aloy like the woman in the hologram.

That mystery only deepened when High Matriarch showed her the place they found her as a infant. So many questions she has had for her whole life that needed to be answered, so far they only created more.

Right now though, she needed to find the way to Meridian, where Olin and the Carja envoy was from the day before the proving.

After helping out others where she could in the sacred lands, she was on the path to find out the site of the war party massacre, she was told to speak to Varl, who was said to be guarding the gate, so she was on her way there.

But as she was riding her overridden strider to her intended destination, something caught Aloy's attention, her focus suddenly caught onto something, causing her to stop her strider.

'Wait my focus is picking up a signal'. Aloy said to herself with curiosity, stopping her strider. 'Alright let's see where it's coming from'. Aloy said as she turned her Strider around to investigate.

Thankfully it did not take long to discover the area.

The sorce of the signal lead to a wide crack in the earth, like the one she fell into as a child. It's clear it was from the old world, The crack was big enough to get through though it looked a quite steep decent, however at the opening, Aloy looked at the red stains on the ground. She kneeled down to examined.

'That's blood, doesn't look like it's been here for long either.' Her examination continued and Aloy noticed the fresh marks in the ground as well.

'Wait, those look like they are drag marks, from who or what though? I better follow this and find who this came from, they can't be in a good shape whoever it is. Not from the looks of this'. She followed it the blood trail and drag marks briefly until it disappeared into the bushes and forest. Aloy however was not done.

'My focus should reveal where the trail has gone'. Activating it, it showed the path the blood trail out of sight left.

'There, its heading that way, down the hill'. Aloy then pursued. After a minute of following the trail, it lead into a small opening in the forest, then she found the source of the blood and drag marks.

Leaning against a tree, sitting on the ground, it was a person leaning against it. The figure was shivering like he was freezing through it wasn't that cold, it really confused Aloy.

'uh...Hello?'. Aloy called out, but got no response.

'Hey, are you ok?'. She called out and got to same reply, nothing.

Apon approaching with caution and apprehension, The person was clearly a young man, unconscious and silent, line he was sleeping. Appearing around Aloys age to his early 20s at most.

Yet his statue was huge, his shoulders were broad and muscular, at least 6.5 feet tall if he was standing. Yet was also lacking any clothing apart from what appeared to be a black under garment on his lower torso, leaving his upper body and legs exposed. He had a very well toned and muscular build. It's clear he appeared a very strong individual.

This was making less and less sense. Who is he and what happened to him,

Aloy looked at his hands and arms, all covered in blood, especially the hands, they were were dirty and cut really badly, yet he appeared to have dragged himself despite his hands.

It's clear this man created the trail, but things didn't add up, like did he crawl out of that entrance she found earlier, where did he come from?. It's clear he not from the sacred lands but she could be wrong Aloy thought to herself.

'I wonder what happened to you?. Gotta do something about those cuts, that doesn't look good at all'. She said gently and compassionately.

She kneeled down to get a closer look at his badly cut hands, this young man was very pale, his skin colour of pale white more then Aloy's fair skin, his shivering didn't stop, Aloy wondered why, it's not that bad weather wise, she placed her hand of his forehead and was shocked by how cold the man was, no wonder he was shivering badly.

'Ahhh!... cold as snow! Got to get you warmed up quickly!'. Aloy said with urgency as she got up and worked quickly to get a fire going.

How or why didn't matter right now, the person could die very quickly in his state and she was surprised he wasn't.

Aloy pushed those thoughts aside for now and focused on whats a more pressing issue at hand, she needed to get this young man warmed up quickly and hopefully wake him up soon.

A few hours later.

Aloy sat by the fire with some meat from a boar she managed to hunt down quickly cooking over the fire, she was waiting for this man to wake up.

She managed to wrap him in a thick blanket, keeping him somewhat close to the fire to warm him up, he finally stop shivering badly after a little while. Aloy placed her hand on his head.

'At least you're not as cold as snow anymore'. Aloy proceeded to remove the cloth she wrapped his badly cut hands in, they we're just to cover them while she tried to prevent him from dying of hypothermia. Now that was not going to happen now, she proceeded to try and clean up the cuts to stop infection.

'Now let's try and clean these cuts up a bit'. After dowsing his hands with water she then took some wild berries and another liquid mix and poured it onto the cuts, the man shifted suddenly from the sting of his cuts, but then settled to Aloy's relief. At least they won't become infected. She wrapped his cut hands back up in clean cloth and now she was finally able to relax a bit now.

'At least those cuts are dealt with now, just need time to heal, I hope you wake up soon'. Aloy said softly. She then proceeded to sit by the fire to warm up a bit herself and cook up some wild meat, all she could do now was wait for this strange person to wake up.

Aloy knew the task still ahead of her, finding war chief Sona, finding Olin and the killers. but she needed help this young man first, then she heard a groan, she turned and saw the young man stirring in his sleep, Aloy wasn't sure if he was waking up or having a nightmare.

Then slowly man eyes finally started to open for the first time since Aloy found him, the mysterious stranger finally and slowly woke up.

I am open to suggestions and ideas, see you all next time for the next chapter.
