"Heh, like a miniature Academy City."

"Uhm...what was that?"

"Nothing just focus on your job."

"R-right..." The nervous pilot blurted out as Accelerator continued staring out of the window of the aircraft called a Bullhead. He was overlooking the vast city scape beneath him. He took in everything, the towering skyscrapers and the buzzing roads. The city was prosperous as well as technologically pretty advanced. Though he was yet to see something that could rival even the most mundane thing in Academy City. Though Academy City mostly only ever focused on efficiency rather than aesthetics unlike this city. He already witnessed a number of thing's some would consider technological wonders. Holographic billboards, robot servants, advanced service ai, among a few thing's.

Nothing interesting so far. But he still needed to take a trip to the library soon. For now he was just on a Bullhead that was suppose to give him a tour. But the pilot was too intimidated by him that all this counted for was surveying the city, which was fine.

("That Qrow geezer said he would sort out my living arrangements. I'm surprised he cares, considering I nearly killed that hag he called a sister.") To top it off the man was genuine on wanting to help. Though beneath that genuine facade was suspicion kept well hidden.

Flashback

Accelerator comfortably lied in the bed as his eye's stared upward. Having finished his meal he had not much else to do. Qrow had taken the Amber girl to talk about something, most likely regarding these 'Maidens.' He could only really speculate on what these Maidens were.

The first thing to take into account was how Amber had reacted upon seeing him use fire and wind. Of course he had not generated said fire and wind himself, no he merely used vector control to alter the use of said elements. Of course at the time Amber did not know that, seeing as it seemed he used two abilities she called him a Maiden. For now he could speculate that these Maidens were able to use duel abilities, Amber herself seemed to be one. And that bandit hag.

But was that truly all there was to them? Of course not. During his fight with the bandit hag, upon her power making contact with his 'reflection' residuals of it had passed through. There was an aspect he couldn't quite comprehend at the time, but it was simple to figure out the formula so to speak. It was easier to do so as she had only used basic elements such as fire and ice. Those two elements were easy to break into its simplest form, all he had to do was take into account the foreign substance used to generate those elements. Applying his vector control on such a foreign matter was no small or easy task. Though he had a decent enough grasp on it to be able to effectively reflect any such unnatural attacks, he still could not quite comprehend that kind of power.

Saying that it was simply unnatural would not do it justice. Had he not encounter that magic in Russia, or used said power himself, then he'd probably have been more baffled at these Maidens. Though they'd all still be easy kills.

("But I'll assume they use more then just fire and ice.")

"Penny for your thoughts?." Said thoughts quickly came to a halt as his eye's turned to the doorway, there Qrow stood. Leisurely leaning himself against the door frame with folded arm's.

"The hell do you want geezer?"

"Ouch, I ain't that old yet. And c'mon show some respect for you elders." Despite his word's he didn't seem all that botherd by the comment.

"There something you needed, or were you just bored?"

"Just curious 'bout you, see?" The man admitted. "So, by any chance are you Schnee?" He suddenly asked.

For a moment the espers face morphed into one of confusion before settling back into his permanent scowl.

"No."

"I see." Qrow stayed quiet for awhile before firing off his next question. "So then where are you from? Judging by that clothes I'd say Atlas, maybe. But then what were you doing all the way in Mistral and then Vale?"

"Tch, this an interrogation now?" The esper sighed as he sat up before turning to the Huntsmen. "Well I'm from nowhere. I just happen to travel around alot."

"What about family? Doubt your folks would be happy to send you on your way, on your lonesome. You barely look sixteen too." In response Accelerator merely shrugged.

"Don't have any 'parents.' Just a guardian."

"Oh, sorry 'bout that."

"Don't need an apology for something so trivial." The esper spat out.

"Right, right. But about this Guardian of yours, they're probably worried you ran off."

"Knowing that hag, she's probably making it her duty to drag me back..." The esper mutterd lowly and it was for a nanosecond but Qrow barely took note of a serene expression crossing his face. It was just for a moment, but his features had relaxed. No glare or scowl, he almost had a ephemeral beauty for those split seconds. "But quit wasting time." And back again he was. "I know you don't give a shit about where I come from, now since I'm betting your reports to whoever your higher ups are detailed with me, I'm guessing you're curious as to what my ability is."

"Ya got me." Qrow spoke as he threw up his hands in mock surrender. "I mean you beat my sister, and I'll tell ya she's no slouch."

"And the way you used that fire and wind..." A third voice quickly cut in, Amber the two noted as the girl enterd. "Sorry for eavesdropping." She apologized with a sheepish smile. "I'm curious about you too." She admitted.

"Not like it's that big a deal, I'll tell you."

"Just like that?" Qrow asked a little confused. "Thought you'd be more cautious."

Well merely understanding the fundamentals of his ability wouldn't allow other's to really counter it. If they even figured out how his 'reflection' functioned it was not as if they could penetrate it. Amata Kihara had managed it, true. But he had personally developed Accelerator's ability. Not to mention then man had other information such as his combat data, physical prowess and even his personality data. It wasn't a simple process pulling off the counter to his 'reflection.' Kihara had managed it because of him, being him. Not to mention should someone figure out the 'Kihara counter' then he merely had to alter the vector control ability protecting his body. Anyone who was not Amata could not predict that change. So give that data to anyone else and it would be useless, that said...

"Listen closely 'cause I ain't repeating myself." They seemed to pay more attention now. If their attentive looks were any indication. "Vector Control, or Vector Manipulation." And as predicted they looked at him confused.

"Vector?"

"What's that?"

Accelerator felt like face palming. But with a sigh he explained.

"A vector is anything with direction and magnitude. I alter and control these vectors. Back in the forest I didn't generate those flames, I merely directed the vector of heat into a single location so a fire started. As for the wind..." Accelerator held out his right palm. Inside the small room a strong gust of wind suddenly swept through everything. The wind seemed to converge in one place, on his palm a small sphere of swirling wind sat. Seemingly having taken form as an intense torrent. "This is me directing the air stuck to the ceiling and walls into a single place." He slightly flexed his fingers and the wind burst in all directions.

Of course there was a reason for why he decided to disclose his ability. Clearly it was abnormal for someone to use more than one power. So this way he really stood out less, seeing as other's would see his ability as merely versatile. And judging from the two's confused expressions, they probably didn't know just how destructive his power could be.

"I'm at a lost. So you can redirect things and alter them?" Amber voiced with slight confusion.

"In idiotic terms, yes."

"O-oh."

"I think I get it? Not really though. But sounds like a nifty Semblance..." Qrow mutterd, more so to himself. Though the fact that he lacked an Aura was something he was going to keep to himself. Though he wondered if he should activate his. Could he? Questions for later.

"But barring your ability I had heard you mention you had a guardian to Qrow. Should you not return to them? I'm sure they're worried about you." Amber voiced sounding surprisingly concerned.

"I can't. And don't ask why, it's something I won't be talking about." Accelerator stated but he received a look of pity from the older women.

"I see...well thats fine." She spoke as a warm smile once again graced her features. "If there's anything you don't want to talk about then it's alright, don't force yourself." Her smile only caused the esper to click his tounge in annoyance.

These happy go lucky people really did annoy him.

Flashback end

Back in the present Accelerator stared downwards at what he was looking for. From his high vantage point he got a real good look at the library.

Standing tall and majestic in the center of the city, the exterior of the grand library would immediately draw in anyone's attention. Its impressive size and intricate details made it a true architectural marvel. The building was constructed from a combination of sturdy stone and brick materials, which gave it a sense of permanency and timelessness.

The entrance was marked by a large stone archway, supported by pillars that featured intricate carvings and elegant designs. The door itself was made from heavy wood and adorned with metal accents. The library's exterior was adorned with numerous artistic details, which combine to create a sense of grandeur and sophistication. There were ornate carvings, large stone statues, and beautifully manicured gardens. The windows were tall and made of stained glass. Along the sides of the building were several smaller entrances, which were also made of heavy wood and accented with metal details.

"Open up here."

"Pardon?" The pilot asked his tone slightly baffled, trying to figure out if he heard the boy correctly.

"Open up here."

"But we're too high up. I can't just o-" The pilot started with an incredulous look on his face but was quickly shut down as Accelerator glanced at him.

"Open. Up. Here." The esper stated again but more slowly as if talking to an idiot. The pilot let out an audible gulp as he fiddled around with the controls of the Bullhead. Soon enough the doors slid open as immediately a violent wind rushed in. Though despite this the esper was much the same, neither his clothes or hair moved an inch under the onslaught of wind.

And so he merely walked over the edge and immediately he started falling. The wind merely rushed past him as he plummeted downwards, but quickly the wind enveloped him as his decent slowed down. And then his feet touched upon the concrete ground as he weighlessly landed.

He ignored the surprised and baffled looks from passerbys as he moved to the entrance of the library. Simply pushing past the large door with no effort he immediately took in the sight of the library.

The library was even more enormous and awe-inspiring from within, with thousands of books lining the walls and stacked on high shelves. The floor was made of polished marble tiles with detailed patterns woven throughout. The ceiling was very high with ornate chandeliers hanging elegantly from it, filling the space with a warm, natural light. Surprisingly, the atmosphere was not as quiet as one would expect but instead it was filled with the sound of the pages turning, the whispering of the librarians, and the moving of chairs.

There seemed to be dedicated areas for different types of reading, studying and research. There was even private desks for one's personal work and larger tables for group study. Comfortable armchairs and sofas were arranged in small groupings, providing a relaxation for all. In the center of the library, there were a number of reading stations with computers, scanners, and printers. Along with artistic sculptures, paintings and detailed maps that would help one navigate the books and enhance the literary decor.

The library seemed to offer more than just books as it had a section that seemed dedicated to multimedia, including audio books and films. To one corner, there was a designated area for the librarian's desk.

Despite the grandness of the place he did not stop to gawk at anything. He just moved through the large library as he scanned each section. As he had searched an attendant had offerd her service but he refused. He already focused on the sections of the library that were useful, and in record time he acquired all the needed books.

In one hand all of them were perfectly balanced as the esper moved through the library in search of a less populated area to read.

Faunus/Human anatomy

Dust for dummies

Vale History

Vacuo History

Atlas History

Remnant History

Grimm analogy

Grimm anatomy

Parallel world theory by Loux Slough

The path to Aura

Semblance awakening

Semblance study

Aura study

Yep the esper balanced all the various books in one hand without difficulty. Needless to say he received various flabbergasted stares from the few in the library. Stares which he ignored as he turned to a cosy looking corner. A few shelves covering the area, making it all the more discrete. It was also a bit of ways away from anyone else. So the esper moved to the area. There were to large wooden table's a few metres away from eacother with various chairs surrounding them. Though there seemed to be atleast one other person here.

Her eyes scanned through the book absentmindedly, not really taking in the various words litterd throughout the pages. Her mind was too preoccupied thinking about something else.

She was well on her way to become a Huntress. A protector of all, a slayer of Grimm, a saviour. Not something she really saw herself as. Especially with her having been apart of the White Fang. She would have much wanted to see the White Fang as merely misguided on their quest for Faunus equality. But she knew that simply wasn't the case.

She often thought to herself, should all humans be blamed when only a handful show any kind of prejudice against her kind? Of course not, that would be the same as blaming a child for the sins of their parents. It was simply wrong on so many levels. The White Fang did not think so. Any human they came across was either maimed or killed without hesitation. She witnessed many human's suffer these fates yet she had not dared spoken up.

The White Fang were not fighting for equality. No they were fighting for superiority. She saw it too late, the sins of the White Fang were hers to bare too. She stuck with Adam for much too long, they were close and she had hoped he would see that what the White Fang were doing was wrong. But alas it was not to be, he had sufferd at the hands of humans. And now he sought to inflict his suffering onto other's just for the sins of few.

Blake let a small sigh part from her lips as she sank into her chair. Whatever the case she knew one thing, she made the right choice in leaving the White Fang.

But still there were some to blame. Some who might deserve their wretched fates. Some humans hated Faunus and vice versa. But something she found comedic was how differently she was treated by parading as a human. She absentmindely rubbed the comically large bow on her head.

She no longer received stares of contempt, hate, suspicion or maybe even fear. She was treated so differently, so nicely. Something she was sure would change should the bow come off. Then all that hate would come right back. She knew all humans were not the same but she's yet to meet someone who could look past her being a Faunus.

Suddenly her ears twitched as she heard approaching footsteps. A shame, she had hoped to keep this secluded reading spot to herself. She tore her eye's away from the book she was currently reading and stared upwards.

The first thing she took note off was not the absurd amount of books this person carried. No, she took note of the stark white winter clothing the person wore despite the intense sun rays outside. Along with that she took note of the persons hair that lacked any colour, it was as white as his clothing. She stared into two familiar red orbs.

Immediately she felt her heart pounding in her chest. Her breath hitched as the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Immediately she felt the sweat trickle down her forehead, and a pit formed in her stomach. Memories flashed through her mind as her heart raced. Memories of those dead White Fang members, their dismembered body parts sprawled upon the blood stained ground. The memories she tried so hard to forget, memories that resurfaced as she stared at the monster.

The monster stared back as he cocked up an white eyebrow.

"Oh, it's you."

She was going to die.

A/N: What will happen next I wonder. Well I'm still tryna figure out what to do with Accelerator. Most fanfics I've read mostly consist of the mc being a criminal, a student/teacher at Beacon or Salems lackey. I have something in mind for Accelerator though. Though I'll have to find a way to incorporate Amber.
