Kaiju Fighters Ch. 25

Back at the hospital the two kaiju had just gotten some treatment from their own injuries.

A tall man in a white coat walks up to them, "Are you friends of Manda?"

"I'm her brother," Varan nervously stands. "How is she?"

"For any human it would be impossible for anyone to recover from such injuries," he looked at them and sees the grim on their faces. "However, she isn't entirely human."

At that moment Manda comes through the doors in a wheelchair being pushed by a nurse. Manda has some bandages on her face. But she looks healthy.

"Manda!" Rodan runs up to her. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, birdbrain," she smiles. "Just a little sore."

"Given the circumstances," the doctor grabs their attention. "She had quickly healed from the burns after placing her in a vat of water, and we were able to vent out any toxic fumes in her lungs. Using those same fumes, we were able to synthesis an anti-toxin. If any more people show up like your sister here we'd be able to help them."

"I guess being ill came in handy," Manda says sarcastically.

The nurse looks over the clipboard. "At this rate you'll be able to leave tomorrow."

"What about travel?" Varan asks.

"We're supposed to leave for Japan tomorrow," Rodan adds.

"I don't see why not," the doctor tells them.

"Great," Manda groans.

Noticing this, the nurse asks, "What's wrong?"

"I really don't do well flying," Manda admits.

"Airsick, huh?" the nurse says as Manda nods. "I know what could help," the nurse walks over to the pharmacy. When she came back the nurse handed her a bottle of pills. "These are motion sickness pills. Just take two before your flight and you'll be fine,"

"Really?"

"Yeah, the most you'll have to worry about is being drowsy,"

"You can stay here for the night," The doctor tells her. "You'll be cleared to leave tomorrow,"

.oOo.

The next day the three kaiju went to board their plane. All have some form of bandages on them. Varan is wearing a t-shirt and he is moving his arms around, feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Manda looks around. "Has anyone seen Anguirus?" she asks as the said kaiju is nowhere in sight.

Rodan tells her, "Not since last night at the casino."

Varan points out, "He's over there."

Anguirus is standing at the entrance to the plane holding three tickets. He looks rather annoyed.

"Hey, Ang!" Manda calls out and Anguirus gets nervous when he notices them walking in his direction.

"Why do you have those tickets?" Rodan asks noticing them. "We already have ours."

"Well…" He rubs the back of his head. "These aren't for you. They're for—"

"Oh, Angy!" A woman a few feet away yells. She is much taller than Anguirus with long blond hair, and brown eyes and she is wearing an overcoat. With her there is a younger girl holding hands about nine or ten years old. "You already have our tickets," she takes two away from him. "Look we're sitting together, and in first class too," she bends over to kiss Anguirus. "Come, Amy. Let's go and find our seats," then left to get on the plane.

The three kaiju just stared at him with their jaws dropped for a few moments, trying to process what just happened.

"Ang?" Manda looks at him with both brows raised "Who was that woman?"

"That was Liz," he looks away trying to hide his embarrassment. "She's my wife."

The others stand there in shock at those words.

"Wait!" Rodan shouts, catching their attention. "How did you get married when I can't even get a date?"

"Honestly," he shrugs his shoulders. "I have no idea."
