DM77's Ace Attorney Prologue

J's First Case

We open where we see a statue of what looks to be The Thinker being held by a white gloved hand with blood dripping off it. The person holding it was panting and on the floor was a blond-haired woman in purple bleeding out from a head wound.

"Dammit!...Why me?" The person said in a panic "I can't get caught…Not like this!"

We see the culprit is a tall lanky male with a long red nose and think Mustache. He wore purple shirt and a hat with an upside down yellow L on it, black overalls, white gloves and brown shoes. He looks down at his victim in worry.

"I-I've got to find someone to pin this on…" The man said in worry. He thinks then gets an evil smirk "Someone like…him!" We get a brief flashback of him seeing someone leaving this very apartment "I'll make it look like HE did it! WA-HAHAHA!"

August 3, 9:47 AM, District Court, Defendant Lobby No. 2

'Geez I am so nervous I am sweaty, who programmed that into me.' A drone girl thought. She had yellow LED eyes, white silverish twin tailed hair with black ribbons. She also had a black headband, with five sections of lights and thin black tail ending in a large syringe, both containing a neon yellow liquid.

She was wearing a short-sleeved dress with a belt sideways as well as strap buttons and pockets on the side with a bowie giving the appearance of a businesswoman, knee-high stockings and a yellow armband. She was currently had sweat marks appearing on her eye screen. She was Serial Designation J, a new Defence Attorney and she was about to begin her first ever real trial and case.

"J!" A male voice said getting her attention. The drone girl looks to see a tall make with brown spiky hair wearing a grey suit with red highlights and was wearing an amulet with an X symbol on it. He smiles at the drone, he was Terra, J's mentor and boss

"Oh, h-hey, Chief." J said standing up straight.

"Phew, I'm glad I made it on time." Terra said with a smile "Well, I do have to say J, I'm impressed. Not everyone takes on a murder trial right off the bat like this. It says a lot about you…and your client as well."

"Oh, um…thanks." J said rubbing her head embarrassed at the praise. "Through it's because I owe him a favor."

"A favor?" Terra asked surprised "You mean, you knew the defendant before this case?"

"Yes. Actually, I kind of owe my current job to him." J explained smiling. "He's one of the reasons I became an attorney."

"Well, that's new to me!" Terra said with a smile.

"I want to help him any way I can!" J said with a smile and nod. "I just…. really want to help him. I owe him that much."

"It's over!" A voice cried out in anguish in room "My life, everything, it's all over!" This attracted everyone in the rooms attention. The person was a blond haired male in whire shirt, green jacket, blue pant and black sneakers

"Is that your client screaming over there?" Terra asked looking over.

"Yeah…. it's him." J said sweat dropping at that.

"Death! Despair! Ohhh!" The blond male cried out. "I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna die!"

"It sounds like he wants to die…" Terra said in concern.

"Um, yeah." J said sighing.

"J! The blond male said coming over to the drone girl tears in his eyes.

"Hey. Hey there, Joey." J said looking at him.

"Oh, I'm so guilty! Tell them I'm guilty!" Joey said to them in despair "Give me the death sentence! I ain't afraid to die!"

"What?! What is wrong, Joey?" J said in shock.

"Oh, it's all over…I… I'm finished. Finished!" Joey said in panic "I can't live in a world without her! I can't! Who…who took her away from me, J? Who did this?! Aww, J, you got to tell me! Who took my love away?!"

'Hmmm…The person responsible for your girlfriend's death?' J thinks on it 'The newspapers say it was you…' She closes her eyes

"My name is Serial Designation J." J narrated as she was writing in a book in an office in her mental space "Here's the story: My first case is a fairly simple one."

We see the blond-haired girl bleeding on the foor again as J continues to narrate "A young human woman was killed in her apartment. The guy they arrested was the unlucky sap dating her:"

We then see Joey smiling giving a thumbs up looking nervous as J continued. "Joey Wheeler…my best friend since grade school. Our school had a saying: 'When something is off, it's usually the Wheeler.' In the 23 years I've known him, it's usually been true. He has a knack for getting himself in trouble. One thing I can say though: it's usually not his fault. He just has terrible luck."

We return to J as she was writing down her mental notes as she says "But I know better than anyone, that he's a good guy at heart. That and I owe him one. Which is why I took the case…to clear his name. And that's just what I'm going to do!"

Well J is in for a uphill battle with the trial as she goes against the Rookie Killer Imp.
