Woken by a gentle hand on Kaleigh's shoulder, she slowly opened her eyes and blinked them a couple of times before her eyes focused on Officer Jenny. Quickly Kaleigh stood up and looked around the room, which made Officer Jenny back away with her hands up slightly.

"Hey, hey it's okay you are safe." Officer Jenny soothed, Nurse Joy stood behind her with a hand over her mouth in surprise.

"Ri-Riolu how is h-he?" Kaleigh questioned the nurse. "Riolu will be okay he will need some rest and I would like to keep him for a bit longer to confirm that he has fully healed." Nurse Joy requested.

Officer Jenny crouched down slightly to be at Kaleigh's height. "Why don't you let your Pokemon rest here and you can rest at my place? I'll bring you back here tomorrow to check up on him, okay?" She offered and held out her hand. Kaleigh frowned as she from Nurse Joy to Officer Jenny. "Why-why can't I stay here?" Kaleigh questioned her voice growing quieter as she asked.

Officer Jenny tried to think for a second. She could tell that a lot had happened to the child and trust was not going to be easy to make. "Well there aren't any beds here to sleep on and you don't want to scare your Pokemon with how you look right? Riolu might think you got hurt just as badly as he did or worse. So if you come with me you can have a shower, some food and a warm bed to sleep in."

Kaleigh shook her head no slowly, her hands clenched as she thought about the offer. Her shoulders fell as she reluctantly agreed. "O-Okay…" Officer Jenny nodded her head and stood back up. "Alright, we will see you tomorrow Nurse Joy. Thank you for your help." Nurse Joy smiled, nodded her head and waved bye to the two.

Officer Jenny and Kaleigh walked out of the Pokemon Center and got back into the police car. Kaleigh looked out the window at the building worried about Riolu. Officer Jenny drove off, down the road, only glancing at Kaleigh for a second.

"I'm Officer Jenny by the way. What's your name?" She introduced herself again now that the chaos had calmed down. Kaleigh glanced over to the cop before turning her gaze to her right bandaged arm. "Kaleigh." She answered shortly. "Well, Kaleigh it's a pleasure to meet you." Kaleigh stayed quiet for the most part of the drive, listening to Officer Jenny try to talk to her to get her to open up but Kaleigh just gave short responses.

Once Officer Jenny pulled into her driveway she opened her door and went up to her house. Unlocking the house door she opened it and turned to Kaleigh who had followed behind her.

"Welcome to my house. Let me show you where everything is and then you can shower." Officer Jenny invited Kaleigh to follow her as they went around showing anything Kaleigh may need to go. When Officer Jenny was done showing Kaleigh around. Kaleigh went to the bathroom where she locked the door and started the shower. Just as she started to lift her tank-top up she heard a knock on the door.

"Kaleigh I have some extra clothes out here for you! I'll leave them beside the door for you!" Officer Jenny called out while she placed the folded clothes by the door before leaving. Kaleigh waited a moment before unlocking the bathroom door and peeked out to the hall. Once she saw that the policewomen was gone she opened the door more and brought the clothes into the bathroom. Making sure to lock the door again Kaleigh set the clothes onto the counter and removed her dirty clothes. She looked at the mirror above the sink, staring at the thin lines of scars going across her abdomen and turned to look at her back which had a few more scars. When the mirror started to fog up Kaleigh looked over to the running shower and got in.

The hot water helped relax her muscles. She let the water run over her as she lifted her right arm up and looked at the bandage. Slowly she started to remove the bandage and let the blood be washed off, only to find nothing there. She lifted her arm closer and used her left hand to rub over the skin. No pain or wound was found.

"Where-how…" Kaleigh stammered, confused by the disappearance of the recent injury. With that trapped in her mind Kaleigh started to wash her hair figuring that she should get out quickly. When she turned off the water she felt a bit better, she dried herself off and got into the clothes provided to her. Everything being too big for her she rolled up the pantlegs and the sleeves of the shirt just enough to use her hands. She picked up her old clothes, unlocked the door and left the bathroom.

Outside the bathroom, Kaleigh followed the smell of something pleasant in the air to the kitchen where Officer Jeny was cooking some eggs and bacon. "Hungry?" Officer Jenny inquired glancing over at Kaleigh. Happy to find the girl already looking better than before. Kaleigh's narrowed eyes looked at the stove top where two eggs were being cooked. She bobbed her head slightly and Officer Jenny moved the two eggs from the frying pan to a plate with some toast.

"Here! Take it to the table and you can start eating, when you're done you can go to the spare bedroom and get some sleep." Officer Jenny suggested. Kaleigh slowly took the plate and nodded her head. Walking away Kaleigh went to the dining room. She looked around the room while she made her way to the table slipping on one of the pantlegs. The plate flew out of Kaleigh's hands as she was quick to catch herself, but the plate scattered on the ground.

"Kaleigh? Are you okay?!" Officer Jenny called from the kitchen. Taking a few quick breaths, Kaleigh looked from the Kitchen door to the broken plate and scrambled to pick up the pieces.

"I-i ah- I I'm sorry!" Kaleigh quavered, flinching as a piece sliced the tip of her finger. Staring as a little bit of blood appeared just as the slice healed up caused Kaleigh to blink. Soon she heard the footsteps of Officer Jenny coming causing panic in Kaleigh to pick up the mess.

"Kaleigh I heard a crash are you-?" Officer Jenny paused as she saw Kaleigh on the ground with the broken pieces of the plate and the eggs and toast in front of her.

"I'm sorry! I-i didn't mean to i-I" Kaleigh squeaked, quickly moving away from both Officer Jenny and the mess. "Hey, hey, hey." Officer Jenny started is a calm tone while she crouched down and held out her hands. "It's okay, I'm more worried about you getting glass in you than a broken plate." Kaleigh shook her head quickly. "N-no." "Okay, I'm going to clean this up quickly. Can you wait there for now" With a quick nod from the child Officer Jenny got to work on picking up the big pieces before sweeping up the rest. Kaleigh stayed pu, with her legs pulled to her chest and her arms wrapped around them.

"Okay, it's okay to move again… How about some cereal instead?" Officer Jenny thought out loud leaving to retrieve the items. Kaleigh slowly stood back up and looked at her hand.

"Why are the cuts healing now?" Kaleigh thought to herself as she sat down at the table. She sighed as she tried to literally shake the thought from her head. This action was caught by Officer Jenny who chuckled at the girl while she set down the bowl of cereal and a spoon.

"If you need anything let me know, okay?" Kaleigh looked up at the cop and nodded her head quietly. Officer Jenny gave a soft smile before walking away to her own bedroom. Alone, Kaleigh quietly tried the cereal, finding it pretty good. It didn't take her long to finish the bowl and put it into the sink. She walked down the hall to the spare bedroom and flopped onto the bed. She closed her eyes and fell into a restless sleep that night.
