Los Angeles.
Daniel opened the door and greeted Brenda with a smile. A beautiful smile that made Brenda feel even worse.
"I wasn't expecting you," he said, "I think we had an appointment later."
They exchanged a quick kiss on the lips and then Daniel let her into his room.
Daniel had done some shopping, there were a few bags of Rodeo Drive shops on the bed.
Daniel noticed Brenda's gaze as she watched his purchases.
"I got something for you..." he said so simply that Brenda seemed to be dying. Daniele went around the bed and pulled on an emerald green silk porschette.
"It would look great with your cream dress, the short one, the one you have in London, of course you should have shoes of the same color, that is, I don't know anything about it, the saleswoman told me" Daniel laughed, Brenda took her gift in her hands and pulled out a faint smile of gratitude.
He put his arm around her waist and kissed her neck, ready to throw everything in the air and devote himself only to Brenda's body.
Brenda moved with a pain that he sensed right away.
'What's going on?' Daniel asked.
Brenda swallowed very hard.
"There's one thing I have to talk to you about"
He didn't say anything, he waited for Brenda to take her time and move inside the words that had to be chosen with care.
Brenda took a few steps inside the room, she didn't really know where to start.
"Something happened in Mexico," Brenda said. Her voice trembled and her eyes were full of tears.
Daniel felt that something was going to shatter his heart but he didn't try to stop Brenda and didn't say a word.
Brenda breathed a sigh.
"One evening, while you and Valerie were at Suzanne and Kevin's house..."
Daniel kept saying nothing and Brenda tortured her hands.
"I made love to Dylan," she said all in one breath.
Daniel closed his eyes at the same time, it was a strange pain, like a loud noise you expect, like something you feel coming but you don't know where and when it will hit you.
Brenda stared at him, she didn't want to hurt him, not Daniel.
Daniel was struggling to find anything to say, he opened his eyes again, his voice was broken.
"I think..." he bit his lips "I think maybe you should go now Brenda.."
He couldn't even think.
He couldn't say anything else, moved to the door and opened it for her without looking her in the eye.
Brenda hesitated for a few moments. What am I doing, she thought, but Daniel was adamant, nothing transpared from his gaze.
"I'm sorry Daniel," she whispered, then moved the two steps that separated her from the door, looked at him one last time and walked out.
New Evolution House.
Kelly was busy fixing up the new home Professor Finley wanted to dedicate to the New Evolution. A research center, a house that could accommodate members and people trying to evolve to a higher stage as she was trying to evolve.
She had been entrusted with the task of repainting a gate, she was not particularly good but she found it relaxing. A way to think about nothing.
"Kelly?" Douglas, Finley's assistant called her attention.
Kelly turned around.
"Someone is looking for you" Douglas took a break "Brandon Walsh" he pointed out.
"Can you tell him you couldn't find me?" Kelly asked him.
"He's not on the phone, he's here"
At that moment Finley walked up pushing his wheelchair on his own.
"You're just putting off the moment.." Finley told her.
Kelly sighed and leaned the brush "I can't leave him. I'm in love with Brandon and when feelings are involved it's hard, too."
Finley maintained a cautious and calm attitude.
"Kelly, we've talked about it so many times and if you want we'll talk about it again" Finley nodded to Douglas who walked away immediately "all your life you've clung to people who didn't stay, your father, your mother were unstable, your mother's men are gone, you even went to get that Dylan who was the emblem of instability with you and he left, everyone abandons you Kelly, everyone and this caused you pain, forced you to be the most beautiful, the most popular for fear of being Abandoned, Brandon will leave sooner or later, he will abandon you. And you will suffocate. You can't evolve if you don't let him go first. Get rid of him before he gets rid of you and you won't suffer."
Kelly was confused, maybe Finley was right.
"I don't know how to do it," she said.
"I didn't think you were so weak. Find the way, remeber or you or him," Finley said with a creepy smile and then walked away for good.
Peach Pit After Dark
Valerie was sitting at the counter and drinking a couple of glasses of prosecco. She stared at the white liquid and the bubbles that came up quickly and every now and then gave a look at Ray playing on stage. The guy was good she really had to admit it. He was starting to become familiar at the club. She watched Donna under the stage, that doe look of hers made her want to vomit. Donna had had David. He had told her that he had loved her while he did not reserve this privilege for her. She didn't deserve love.
"What are you doing here.." Daniel asked, sitting next to her.
Valerie looked up.
"The question is," she replied, "what are you doing here"
Daniel smiled sadly, waved to the bartender with his hand and was served a whiskey without ice.
"Wow you're going down on it hard"
Daniel put the Whisky on his lips and then knocked it down with a single blow.
"No sermons, Valerie"
Valerie looked at him more carefully, you could see that he was suffering.
"What the hell happened to you?" Valerie asked.
Daniel took a few seconds for himself.
"Brenda just told me that she fucked Dylan in Mexico"
"Oops," Valerie replied with a feigned surprise. Daniel looked at her immediately.
"You knew that, didn't you?"
"It may be," she replied, pouring another glass of prosecco, "I'm sorry," Valerie said.
"Yeah," he replied, "and what happened to you?"
Valerie began giggling at the mercy of alcohol "do you remember I had a complicated affair with a guy?"
"Mmmhh"
"I told him that I didn't want to get fucked once in a while anymore, that I wanted something more, I wanted what others have too"
"Was he run away?" Daniel asked.
"Yes" Valerie laughed, a laughter mixed between pain and irony.
Daniel laughed after her.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"I don't care," replied Valerie, "it's nothing new to me, this is more or less the story of my life."
Valerie's eyes shone in the twilight of the Pit
"You know," Daniel said, "I really thought I had found the right person, someone to really love."
"You can still love Brenda if you want"
"I can't look her in the face"
"You're not a saint either from what you told me"
"No, it's true, i'm not, I knew I shouldn't leave her with that Dylan McKay.
Valerie "against Dylan no one can do anything" said Valerie who stood up staggering "between Brenda and Dylan there is something special and rare, your mistake was wanting to compete" .
Valerie couldn't stand up and went back to sit down almost immediately.
"My head is spinning"
"Do you want me to take you home?" Daniel asked him drunk too.
"And how ? you can't stand up either"
"Let's take a taxi..."
"Great idea! You are a genius!"Valerie exclaimed.
"I took a hotel near here"
'Hotel?'
"Yes for a while... "
Daniel looked for his wallet to pay for the drinks they had consumed.
"No... no..." Valerie said in a kneaded voice "You're my guest, I bought this place from Rush Sanders less than two hours ago."
"You bought the Peach Pit after dark?"
Valerie quickly drank two more puffs of prosecco "with the money we earned and that you didn't want" .
"I would never take anything from Dylan Mckay"
"I do.. "reased Valerie then got up and handed him her hand.
"We are both desperate, drunk and alone" Valerie grabbed a bottle of champagne "Let's continue this losers' party somewhere else"
Daniel laughed.
Dylan's house.
Dylan saw Brenda arrive and immediately ran to open the door for her.
He didn't let Brenda talk and hugged her in a very strong hug.
"I've been waiting for you so long"
Brenda's coldness hit him hard.
"What happened? " he asked.
"I told Daniel about the two of us, about what happened in Mexico"
Dylan didn't speak.
She let Brenda wriggle out of her arms and enter the house.
"Do you want to talk about it, Brenda?"
"I couldn't look him in the eye anymore and he deserves better than a woman who is unable to look him in the eye."
"I'm sorry"
"Seriously Dylan?" Brenda had a harsh attitude that surprised him.
"Why do you say that?"
"Last night I was out of your house and I saw you whizzing away with a girl, did you have fun?"
Dylan smiled.
"Antonia... she's just a friend Brenda, nothing but a friend. We went to the Peach Pit and ate something, if you don't believe me why don't you ask Nat"
"That's exactly the point..."
'What point?'
"I don't trust you anymore... what's the point if I have to ask someone else if what you're saying is true or not."
Dylan felt hurt but included Brenda. He had read it in her eyes the day he and Kelly had broken the chain of lies and revealed the truth to her.
Brenda looked at him for a moment. Then she snapped to the door, couldn't open Dylan put on his arm and pushed against the door.
"I won't let you leave again"
"Let me go, Dylan" she felt the presence of him behind her back.
Dylan brought his mouth close to Brenda's neck.
"I won't let you go again," he repeated.
Garden house new evolution.
Brandon was walking alongside Kelly. The pace was fast. He kept his hands in his pockets and couldn't quite understand what she was telling him.
She wanted to break up with him. She wanted to live with the members of the new evolution.
The canchelor had told him to get her out of there, that this Finley had received lawsuits from parents of students who had openly accused him of sexual harassment and proselytism. He had to get Kelly out of that place and had tried in a million ways.
Kelly was watching Brandon, his blue eyes had shades of despair but Finley had told him, he would not stay, he would leave, on the night of the fire he was not there. Only Finley and the members of the new evolution would remain forever. It was an obsessive thought that tormented Kelly.
"Kelly, listen to me, I get that after what happened to you...
Kelly got irritated "don't try to psycho analyze me, Professor Finley helped me a lot and is still helping me, I don't understand why you can't accept this"
Brandon saw her slide lower and lower, he was furious with Professor Finley and all his army of idiots, if he could he would have punched them all.
"I don't want you to leave the new evolution but I would like you to share this thing with me, that you don't ignore me," Brandon said, stopping Kelly with one arm,
"Then join us"
"I don't want to join you Kelly"
"You're a denier" Kelly started walking again, Brandon was forced to follow her and stop her again. It wasn't her, he thought several times. The Kelly in front of him was but a shadow of herself.
He managed to grab her and spin her.
"Kelly, you are my best friend, I love you, I can't watch our story die like this, I have to do something, I would like to have my Kelly back, the one that makes me smile in the morning, and that convinces me to dance, the one that only a few really know... I'm trying to save our story, our love ... I've come a thousand times to get you back here, and I'll come a thousand more, but if you want me to finish tell me now and I'll leave"
Something in Brandon's eyes hooked Kelly in extremis, she couldn't tell him that their story was over, even though she was now convinced that sooner or later he would leave, as they all did.
They looked into each other's eyes that were slowly burning in each other.
"I can't tell you," she whispered.
It didn't seem true to Brandon when she squeezed him tight and seemed to want to hold him back for endless minutes.
"Let's go home," Kelly whispered in tears.
Peach Pit AD
Ray was super excited for his show. His name was starting to attract people to the place and the money he earned was convenient for him. It was the award for so many years of sacrifice and work.
Donna was as happy as he was because Donna was always happy and because that serenity belonged a bit to both of us.
It seemed that he was not tired and that that night could never end, in the car he kissed Donna's hands several times, told her that he loved her and Donna died inside those words.
"I'm so happy that my heart could burst," he said as they walked into Ray's house.
He looked at her and kissed her deeply.
Donna was overwhelmed by that guy so hard and so special that she had met one day by chance and that had taken her heart.
Their tongues intertwined and it was a moment that they found themselves in his bed, as they had done before.
"Your mother might hear us," Donna said.
Ray ran his tongue over Donna's neck and breasts "my mother sleeps like a bear won't feel anything."
Ray's hands began to get hungrier and touched her everywhere, Donna let him do it, she was excited too, she felt the excitement she provoked in him.
"I want you," Ray told him suddenly.
That simple sentence awoke Donna from that mixture of excitement she had fallen into with him.
"No.." he whispered "I don't want Ray"
He slipped between her legs and she could sense his erection.
"No Ray ... please" Donna was on alert.
"Stay still, you'll see it's going to be nice"
"I said no"
Donna realized that she had screamed. Ray's eyes were staring at her hard "jesus Christ Donna I can't stop now!"
"I think you'll have to stop instead," she said.
"Damn" Ray punched the pillow right next to Donna's head who got scared.
Donna got up quickly and picked up her clothes.
"Sorry ...please Donna, I'm sorry " he tried to grab her but Donna was faster and opened the front door going out quickly into the night.
Belage Hotel.
Daniel and Valerie drank until they were stunned. They didn't hear anything anymore, they had closed the world out of that room. They barely stood up, laughed several times telling each other things about Mexico or their childhood.
Daniel imitated his mother who yelled at him in Spanish, and Valerie almost laughed until she pissed underneath.
Moments of silence also followed.
"David doesn't want me" she said seriously "to tell the truth, no one wants me"
"This is not true Valerie"
"What are you going to do tomorrow?" She asked him, ignoring the answer.
"I'll go back to England, and I won't say hello to anyone, it's too humiliating and you said it too, you can't win against Dylan McKay"
"As much as it's worth... Brenda loved you"
"It just wasn't enough" Daniel finished the sentence.
She looked him in the eye, she seemed to have regained a moment of sobriety.
"My father raped me" she said "it started when I was 11 years old, he would slip into my bed and tell me that he loved me... then he would stick his thing inside me... he would sweat and fuck his daughter"
Daniel was shocked and not drunk enough not to understand Valerie's desperate tale.
"Valerie..."
"I'm dirty, I'm a marked person, that's why I'm bad" Valerie began to cry, it seemed like that cry had come from far away and had been held back for too long.
Daniel immediately got up and went to hug her
"I'm sorry Valerie"
"No one knows the truth, not even Brenda... I'm telling you and I don't know why I'm telling you" Daniel squeezed her even harder and kissed her forehead.
"Men always treated me like I was a slut .. all but one" Valerie thought for a moment about Tom, who had loved her, who wanted to kill her father and who was now too far away.
"Because I always let myself be treated like this, I wanted a love of my own"
"You can have a love of your own, Val"
Val raised his head, dipped his eyes in Daniel's green ones and kissed him. Her lips were wet with her tears.
Daniel was drunk and angry, he realized he wanted her, and he hated that she thought she wasn't worth enough.
He took her with him, neither of them was fully conscious, but they knew exactly where they were going, the world rejected them and they screwed the world.
Valerie undressed Daniel slowly, wrapped herself in his arms, in the desperation of him, tomorrow morning they would both regret it, she already knew, but tomorrow morning he would be too far away.
Daniel had a confused mind, at times he seemed to make love to Valerie other times it was Brenda in front of him, in both cases he felt it was wrong but he couldn't stop, the old traitor Daniel had been exhumed, he was reborn from the ashes.
They made love on a night as desperate as they were. Valerie and Daniel, canceled each other, with alcohol, with sex, with tenderness.
House on the beach
Kelly's thoughts were going up like foam. She had let Brandon take her home, he had taken her by the hand and they had walked the streets of Los Angeles. Brandon invited her to dance while a street musician played a slow ballad and then along with others. He made her twirl several times, they bought ice cream from a van, they talked, and ate some street food, they Dreamed about their dreams, about a trip, going to New York next summer, you and I.
They arrived at the beach, undressed, threw themselves into the ocean, thought they were crazy.
It was easy to kiss when your skin still tastes like water and salt, that salt that seemed to burn and heal bad days gone by. They came home, took a hot shower together, caressing and touching each other to increase sexual arousal and desire, Kelly was taken by a subversive arousal, she wanted to hold Brandon back, she wanted him not to leave her and if she could keep him inside her then he would never leave her.
They slipped into the bed and began to make love, he thought it was all over, that they could start again, she felt him make his way between her open legs, do his thing, kissing her, push inside and kiss her on the neck. He was fucking her but she was not there. Kelly suddenly opened her eyes. She felt him move inside her, she clung to his back so that he wouldn't turn around, she could feel his mouth on her breasts, she could hear him moan while she had her eyes wide open looking at the ceiling. Brandon would be gone, this happiness was destined to end, only the new evolution would never leave her alone. Finley was right. The more Brandon caused her happiness, the deeper the pain would be. The sense of abandonment alienated her while Brandon still was making love to her.
Dylan's house.
Brenda watched Dylan sleep.
They were in his bed, as it had always been for them. He had prevented her from going out, she had turned around, shouted at him, punched him in the chest. Her anger came out, the harm he could do to her was equal to the love he could give her.
"I hate you," she had told him.
"I love you," he had kept telling her.
"I hate you"
Brenda's eyes were full of tears. Was she really giving up everything for this guy?
Dylan kept telling her "I love you" and she couldn't do anything anymore, because she couldn't.
They kissed frantically, releasing all the thoughts of those days, as many times as she wanted to slam him against the wall and own him, as many times as he hadn't been able to touch her.
He took off her t-shirt, pants, bra, panties... while he stayed dressed. Brenda was like a doll that Dylan could do what he wanted at least until she took the lead.
His mouth kissed her softly while they were still standing "stay" he said. Brenda closed her eyes.
"It's always been you" he told him "it's always been just you"
Dylan came back up and set his eyes on her.
"I couldn't tell you"
Brenda didn't answer and they started kissing again. She began to undress him, they bent over on the floor.
The house was quiet and it was just for them.
"It's always been just you" Dylan repeated and at that moment Brenda noticed that Dylan was crying.
Brenda closed her eyes and let him slip with his mouth between her legs.
She felt an uncontrollable electric shock as Dylan played on her clitoris and the inside of her thighs.
Then he went up quickly, passed in the middle of her breasts while Brenda stroked his hair, he smiled at her, she too, Brenda kissed him again, then they reversed and she found herself riding him, looking at him, disheveled under her. Dylan held her by the hips and left Brenda in charge of that moment.
When they had finished, their bodies shone with sweat. She rested her head on his shoulder, their breaths slowed down.
