The next morning, Madam Pomfrey beat Snape waking up, catching him as he was sitting up, "You will not be teaching, Severus. You are still hurt. Albus will cover your classes." "Can I at least grab a book, if I have to be stuck here?" "What book do you want?" Severus spoke, "Potion Antidotes." "I hope you are not exhausting yourself in more ways than one. I know how many duties Albus has you take up." "Many." Snape grabbed the book from Madam Pomfrey. "You may not feel hungry for a long while. Your body is focusing on regaining your magic. After a week, you'll be ravenous. Make these students look starving." Snape looked at the small boy. "About that." He took another glance at Potter, "Is Potter not malnourished?" "He is underweight. Not malnourished." "We should fix that." "Yes, we should."

Snape started reading the book Madam Pomfrey let him temporarily posses. He was looking for suggestion potion cures, balancing the book on his knee, flipping through pages with one hand, using the other to grab food a else elf placed on the table beside him. There had to be something somewhere. He was no Healer, but he had some ability to act as one, if needed.

A week later, Snape was still reading the book in between his required duties, suspecting this wasn't the first of Hagrid's ploys. One of which involved taking Potter to get his glasses. He hoped the boy wouldn't screw up potions so badly when he could see.

Harry grabbed Snape's arm. "Sir, why don't students apparate out of Hogwarts?" "There are wards. Far as I'm aware only Headmaster Dumbledore and I can apparate out and in of Hogwarts. I have the Headmaster's permission. Hang on." They were in the eye doctor's office.

She handed Harry some blue glasses. "How are these, Harry?" Harry looked around, "You are paler than usual, sir." "I assure you I am pale as I always been." Probably why the vampire rumor refuses to die. Harry stared out the window, "I can see where the leaves separate!" Harry squinted, "At least if they're close to me." The doctor took her arm around Harry's shoulder and took him back to the chair he needed to sit into. "That's what we are fixing. Harry, eye magic is risky business. Snape is here to supervise on behalf of your magical guardian Albus." "Albus, ma'am?" Snape's face scrunched up. He never checked up on the boy? After Minerva's constant rants? Snape kept in mind to have a talk with Albus. "I assure you Albus is a very good person to have as a guardian, and Headmaster too." Harry's eyes flashed red for a second. "He could have stopped what happened to me! Knowing how they are!" Snape was not surprised to see objects fly across the room. After Harry calmed down, Snape magically put everything back in place. "It was in the paper." Snape chided. "I don't read that horsemeat." "Well, Potter was abused. He may not take too kindly to who placed him in the situation. Shall we continue?" Snape kept the subject quiet.

Harry didn't need to know the ministry was discussing his situation. Snape assured the ministry Harry could stay with a friend, if push came to shove. This wouldn't be a problem if Black didn't get himself thrown in prison. One thing was for certain, no houses with squibs or muggles.

Harry relaxed as Snape gave him an emergency calming draught. He always kept a few potions in his robes. Harry took off his glasses when instructed and watched as the doctor performed complicated movements. "You will see the effects in a week. Come back next month. I can't do much while your eyes are adjusting to the first treatment. Over time, this will become weekly."

Harry talked the whole talk, the rest of the day. Dumbledore agreed that Snape could give Harry some freetime after he got his glasses, as long as he is being supervised. Snape got Harry some ice cream. "Thank you, sir." He also noticed when Harry's face scrunched up in disgust. "What's wrong, Potter." "I never had anything this sweat, sir." Harry looked green, "Where's the bathroom?" The question was rushed out. Snape hurriedly escorted him to that very room. He could hear Harry throwing up. When Harry came out, his face was pale, and his eyes were expressing tiredness. "I don't want-" "That's okay. Let's go back to Hogwarts, you need rest." Snape vanished the leftover ice cream. "I was not aware you are accustomed to sweats." "I'm not allowed sweats, sir." "That is with those muggles, not here. I would suggest something not too sweet to get started." "I don't want to, sir." "I suppose so."
