DINOSAUR KING – MAKE YOUR MOVE

Authors Note

Hello again dear readers.

It's time once again for me to welcome you to another fanfic of mine, and this time we're venturing out of the Pokémon universe and back into our own for Dinosaur King.

Of late I've been having a bit of thing of Dinosaurs and big Lizards in general (like Charizard), so Dinosaur King is almost a natural step from Pokémon. After all the very basic premise of a bunch of teenagers using animal of some description to fight villains and each other is the same.

The Dinosaur King Anime even had the same dub voice cast as the original Pokémon series and the Alpha Gang take after Team Rocket in so many way. Team Rocket are some of the best characters in the Pokémon anime, so watching Urusua, Zander and Ed bumble their way around the world trying to capture Dinosaurs is a joy.

Like my Pokémon Ash and Pikachu series, this story will borrow elements from both seasons of the anime, as well as the games and manga. We'll be spending a lot of time getting to know the dinosaurs and there will be several OC Dinosaur characters.

Indeed we'll be meeting Blue the Velociraptor (a character I admittedly borrowed from Jurassic World and gender bent for this fic) and his brother Mycaelis.

And of course, this is a yaoi fanfic, with plenty of M/M pairings, both Dino/Dino and Dino/Human.

I think we're about to have fun – I do really!

Chapter 1 – Nightmare on Oxford Street

There was something almost darkly ironic about it; The largest LGBT annual event in Australia disrupted by an actual dinosaur. The parade's participants and spectators scattering in a fury of screams and glitter as the Parasaurolophus, a green scaled Dinosaur with a single blunt horn on its head, lumbered from out of an alleyway and right into the middle of Oxford Street.

It was the night of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, the annual pride parade on the first Saturday every March. Ordinarily it boasted participants of around 13,000 and attendance of 500,000, all of whom were now fleeing the arrival of the prehistoric creature in a tide of panic and confusion.

Parasaurolophus reared onto its hind legs, throwing his head in the air, and letting out a howl of distress. Already confused and disoriented, the parade proved a strange obstacle. The sheer mass of so many humans around it, leaving it nowhere to go. And nowhere to flee from its pursuers as they shot out from the alleyway from which it has emerged.

Velociraptors…perfect hunters of the ancient world. Bipedal reptiles with sharp claws, long tails, powerful hind legs and pointed muzzles. And jaws filled with rows of sharp fangs. There were two of them; the first a large specimen with light brown scales. The second, slightly smaller, grey in colouration with two strips of blue on either side of its body, running from behind the eyes down its back to the tip of its tail.

"Woooraaaaah!"

Parasaurolophus cried out in great pain as the two Velociraptors threw themselves upon her, the larger brown raptor attacking the flank, sinking it's claws and teeth into the thigh, while the blue raptor leapt onto the larger dinosaur's back and nipped at her neck. Prefect pack hunters!

"Woooraaaaah!"

It proved too much for poor Parasaurolophus, who collapsed to the ground…

There was one other player in this scene. A rider astride Parasaurolophus's back, holding a set of reins tied to the dinosaur's duck billed beak. On first glance the rider might have been mistaken for one of the parade participants in a bizarre costume; A long black robe with gold trim, gold shoulder pads and chest plates, wild spiky hair, and an almost pink colouration to his skin.

But that was far from the truth…

The force of the Blue Velociraptor landing on Parasaurolophus's back had knocked him clean off his stead and left him in a heap in the middle of the street. Quickly however, he pushed himself up, just in time to find himself face to face with the brown velociraptor.

"Mycaelis," he breathed. His voice was strained, as though the fall had knocked the air out of his lungs.

"G'day mate," the dinosaur replied, his jaws parting slightly, and his head tilting to the side in a wicked looking grin.

The man's eyes widened as he struggled to retain his composure. However, when he spoke it was calm and measures. "You'll never take me alive Freak!"

Mycaelis, the brown velociraptor, opened his maw wide and let out a high-pitched cry. Even among the sounds of a thousand panicky people, the call of the pre-historic beast still cut like a knife through the air.

But before Mycaelis could actually do anything to the man, the ground started to tremble, and a louder chorus of screams filled the air. Mycaelis and the Blue raptor looked back over their shoulder, their eyes widening as a fresh wave of fleeing parade participants and spectators came running up the street.

The source of their terror; a fourth dinosaur. At least twice the size of the two velociraptors, standing tall above the crowd. A large set of jaws filled with pointy fangs, a pair of short arms, and bring crimson scales. The tyrant lizard itself, Tyrannosaurs Rex. It's roar boomed like a clap of thunder.

"Terry…Fuck you idiot…"

The two raptors drew close together, linking arms to avoid being separated in the wave of terrified humans that swept over them. The pink skinned and gold armour plated man cackled with laughter as he disappeared into the crowd.

"Try and catch me know freak…"

Mycaelis' eyes narrowed to slits. "Oh, we'll see about that, mate!"

"You did it Mikey. You brought down Parasaurolophus," a woman called out from somewhere behind in the crowd.

It was followed by a male asking the world at large, "why didn't it turn back into a card?"

The raptors spun around. The Tyrannosaurs had caught up to them, leading three humans in his wake. A tall voluptuous woman with long hair, dyed bright green; a tall pencil think man with long and pointy face wearing a pair of small round spectacles; and purple haired boy, short and plump.

Unlike the other parade goers, all dressed in skimpy outfits and covered in glitter, each worse a dark red uniform with a stylised A insignia embossed them. A circle encapsulated by a triangle. Their names were Ursula, Zander, and Ed and together with their dinosaurs, they formed the grunts of the Alpha Gang.

"Where's Gozma," the tall man, Zander, asked.

"He's not getting away," Mycaelis growled through gritted teeth. "Blue, Terry, with me." He lowered his head and broke out into a sprint following the crowd. The other raptor followed quickly behind, as did the Tyrannosaurs, though being larger and slower he lumbered behind.

"Wait, where are you going," Ursula, the green haired woman cried out after them. "You heard Doctor Z. We're here for the dinosaur."

"So, catch it," the velociraptor called back. "I'm sure even you three are capable of that. I've done the hard part for you!"

That however would remain to be seen. For at that moment, and to add more confusion to the already chaotic scene, another couple of persons shouted out, "The Alpha Gang," and "Leave that Parasaurolophus alone."

Two teenage boys had appeared from out of the crowd, miraculously moving in the opposite direction, coming towards the other three. They were each of a similar height and build, neither short but scrawny can be capable of moving against the stampede of people. One was blond and dressed in blue, the other brunet in red, and wearing an open cap with a pair of triceratops horns protruding.

"Oh great," Ursula groaned, her hands balling into fists. "It's the brats!"

[Dinosaur]

Nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Gozma, the pink man, had managed to disappear into the crown and escape down one of the small that branched from Oxford Street, only to end up in at the end of a cul-de-sac surrounded by houses and other buildings, with only one way in or out.

With two hungry raptors on his tail…

"Give it up, Gozma," boomed Mycaelis as he walked into the cul-de-sac. No need to sprint or run. After all, his prey was cornered.

"GET BACK," Gozma shouted. "Or I'll…I'll." He struggled to think of a threat.

Mycaelis snorted. "I don't see that you're in any position to make threats, Gozma. Now we can make this quick and painless or slow and agonising. All depends on how much you feel like pissing me off."

"That Parasaurolophus still has its armour implanted. I could still use it to kill her!" He reached into his cloak and pulled out a small hand-held electronic device, almost like a smartphone but smaller.

Mycaelis coxed his head. "And that would leave you standing there, with nowhere to run, with an even more pissed off me. That really what you want."

"We can make a deal," Gozma pleaded. "I hand over the Dino Holder. You don't kill me."

Mycaelis seemed to consider for a moment, then he stood upright, folded his arms, and nodded. "Fine. You give them holder and I promise that I won't kill you."

"Phew!" Gozma sighed, before throwing the device into the air. "Pleasure doing business with you."

The blue raptor sprung out from behind Mycaelis to catch it.

"Indeed," said Mycaelis. "Terry!"

There was suddenly a loud thud, as the great form of Tyrannosaurs Rex suddenly appeared from around the concern and charged at Gozma.

"Wait, hang on," the pink man spluttered. "Y-you promise…"

Mycaelis grinned his wicked Dino grin at him once again and replied, "I promise you that I wouldn't kill you. Terry on the other claw…."

Gozma fell to his knees, as Tyrannosaurs bearded down upon him, his jaws opened wide. Row and rows of teeth, each as long and as sharp as a butcher's knife, dripping with saliva. A terrifying gateway to the dark void of the throat beyond. Tyrannosaurs let out a roar, so loud it nearly deafened Gozma.

"YOU BASTARD! You're nothing but a bunch of freaks. You wait. The Alpha gang is…"

But that was all he could get out, for at that moment Terry had lunged at him, trapping the man in his jaws, and biting down hard…
