In The Fog
The unpenetrable coldness of the dark winter night made his figure shiver as he tredged along a lonely and narrow path. A chilling gust of wind flew by, ruffling his hair, the fiery red strands falling onto his icy blue eyes, well shaded from any outlooker.
Tall firs and oaks stood on either side, creating a haunting denseness against the far wide world, guiding him into the black scary night.
The sky laden was with numerous closely patched clouds covered the stars and the moon from the sight of the creatures of the world.
He shifted his woolen scarf closer seeking the warmth he was unable to feel. His white jacket, a thin layer did nothing to protect the lithe body underneath from the biting cold.
His eyes flickered as a hushed sound came from behind him, a shadow following his every step. His heart thumped painfully against his chest, a dreaded terror seeping into the tips of his nerves.
His shoe clad feet came to a halt, stuck between continuing on forwards the path or turning around and facing the danger behind.
He tried to move himself forward, to make his way quickly out of the unknown but promising terror but found himself unable.
The freezy wind closed in and a deadly quiet spread over the seldom trodden path, a leaf occasionally stirring under the hard weight of snow.
Suddenly, in between the blood chilling harsh cold, a sliver of warmth shot up to his chest, the feeling foreign yet familiar.
Almost sighing with relief, his eyes shined with recognition and a breathy chuckle escaped his blue chapped lips.
Another wave of soothing heat spiked up through his entire body, the source of it stepping out of the darkness and made it's way over to him with an amused smile.
The redhead stood there soaking up the warmth and tried to feel the liveness of the gone numb limbs before a set of arms circled him from behind.
"Kai?"
The said person laid his chin between the crook of his neck and shoulder and breathed in his scent. Then raising his head, he locked onto the gloveless hands and wrapped his warm hands around them.
"What are you doing out here at this time?"
"I'm not the only one out at this time," He clashed his blue orbs to the fierce crimson ones.
"Since a certain idiot left his Wolfborg beside my Dranzer, and had no way out against the cold and the danger that lurks here"
Tala rolled his eyes as Kai stepped in front of him and pulled out the frosty beast out of his pocket and handed it to it's owner.
The blood red eyes watched with amuse as Tala clumsily tried to open the zip of his coat's jacket with his nimble fingers before chuckling as he finally opened it.
His gaze then fell around to the mysteriously foggy trees from which anything could jump out and throw itself at them. He shuddered unknowingly before taking Tala's hand in his and pulling him along with him.
"C'mon, let's go back. Enough of your reckless strolling," and with that, the dual haired pulled him back into the lost ways hidden behind the thick mists of the Moscow winters.
The two of them missing a faint glint behind one of the hollow but giant trees, a garpled groan of a willowed out beast...
See? Pointless...
