This is something strange. Been seeing a lot of multiversal Total Drama fics, but not enough multiversal Ridonculous Race fics. Byt I'm just here to add more to the pile. Keep in mind that this has no connection to the Multiversal SBR and is in no way a prequel nor a sequel.
"Here we are, all the way back to Toronto, Ontario! The starting point of the original Ridonculous Race, where 18 teams of two have battled it out for fame, glory, and a grand prize of a million dollars!" Don announced to the camera. "Here we return to the train station where it all began, and something tells me our competitors are on their way."
Don enters the train station as he looks across the stretch of railroad next to him.
"Just like last time, a large group of people, varying on the weird spectrum will race across well known and historical locations around the world, doing challenges and sometimes failing them in order to reach each leg's Chill Zone, where judgment will be brought down upon those who fall behind." Don explained the rules once again.
"This time, we reached out far and wide to different worlds, looking for peeps who can break the spectrum even further and make this race a hell of a lot more interesting." Don stated. "And on top of that, the number of teams has been bumped up to 24. Meaning the weird spectrum hasn't just increased, but is even more saturated than before."
The sound of the train's brakes echoed in the station. Don looks back at the camera as the train slows to a halt.
"Out of these 24 teams, who will take first place? What interesting dynamics will occur? And why are some of these people not even human?" Don increased the intensity of his statement. "That third question is for the producers who've chosen the competitors. As for the other two? Well, find out on… The Ridonculous Race…"
The doors of the train open up behind Don, and the light makes a very cinematic backdrop as the shadows of the new competitors can be seen in the train.
"...Zeta!" Don finished up the theatrics.
Chapter 1: Make Way For The Twenty-Four Part 1
The doors open up, and two men walk out of this, bearing large swords on their backs and guns to their sides. One was a young man with short cut white hair, a dark blue coat over a maroon shirt and jeans with dark boots. The other was a middle aged man with similar white hair that was pretty messy, a maroon coat over a black shirt and leather pants.
"Nero and Dante. The Demon Hunters and descendants of the legendary Sparda." Don announced the first team.
-Interview: Demon Hunters-
"Well, Dante. How's your vacation in Hell while I was stuck cleaning things up back on Earth?" Nero asked.
"Vacation seems like a good way to leave important details out, Nero." Dante nonchalantly stated.
"And the moment you come back, you just went up and auditioned the two of us for this race?" Nero was confused.
"It was Kyrie's idea. Think of this as family bonding during our downtime." Dante stated.
"I didn't expect this to be your idea of family bonding, especially after bearing witness to your reunion with Vergil." Nero stated.
"Just relax, kiddo. This might actually be challenging since this doesn't involve fighting." Dante stretched his arm behind him.
The next team stepped out of the train, with it being an ogre in medieval clothing, and a donkey.
"Shrek and Donkey, the Misfits of Far Far Away." Don announces.
-Interview: Misfits-
"Are you kidding me, Donkey? What purpose would you get from dragging me into this race?" Shrek groaned.
"No turning back now, Shrek. Besides, we're the dream team. I can almost taste the cash now." Donkey then licks the air in a trance, before tasting something. "Hmph, tastes like belly button lint."
Shrek could only slap his face because of the situation he has been put in.
Next group that exits the train includes a human-sized anthropomorphic bluejay and a shorter anthropomorphic raccoon.
"Mordecai and Rigby, Park Keepers." Don announced.
-Interview: Park Keepers-
"While I'm not so sure about our chances here in the race because of the… interesting people we met on the train…" Mordecai was then interrupted.
"Pfft, relax, Mordecai. Those are nothing but chumps compared to us." Rigby laughed with confidence.
"Ignoring what he said, it's pretty nice to actually get out of the Park once in a while. And if we play our cards right, we won't have to go back for a few weeks." Mordecai stated.
"And win the million bucks." Rigby stated.
The two cross their arms in confidence, before Mordecai punches Rigby in the arm, knocking him offscreen.
The next two people step off the train. One was a young man with spiky black hair that pointed back, and a blue suit reminiscent of a lawyer. And the other one was a young girl with long hair and purple East-Asian outfit.
"Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey, Defence Attorneys from the Wright and Co. law firm." Don announced.
-Interview: Defence Attorneys-
"Can you believe it, Nick? I can't believe we were actually chosen for this race!" Maya was ecstatic about the race.
"Calm down, Maya. Save that energy for the race." Phoenix stated.
"With your smarts and my spirit medium abilities, we're sure to win that money for the office!" Maya raised her fist into the air. "Gimme five, Nick!"
The two friends high five each other as they get hyped up for the race.
The next team of two exit the train, one walking and one flying. The one walking was a male rock figure with a tall neck and an apron. The one flying was an old fairy with a green dress and a mushroom hat more than her own size.
"Schnitzel and Truffles, Chefs of Mung Daal Catering." Don stated. "I wonder if they're gonna breeze through the eating and cooking challenges of this season?"
-Interview: Chefs-
"Why is the team called Chefs? I'm not even a chef, I work the register." Truffles stated.
"Rudda rudda rudda." Schnitzel replied to this.
"Don't talk to me like that, it's simple constructive criticism." Truffles replied angrily.
"Rudda? Rudda rudda rudda. Rudda." Schnitzel stated.
"Your cleverly worded insults have no place here. We're here to get that million dollars and advertise the restaurant while we're at it." Truffles stated.
"Rudda rudda." Schnitzel just gave a thumbs up to this.
The next group were two anthropomorphic cats. The first was light blue with green eyes, red nose, grey tummy and white hands and feet, while the second was green with black eyes and a similar red nose and white hands and feet.
"Oggy and Jack, Cats who just want to get through life." Don announced.
-Interview: Cats-
Oggy and Jack waved at the camera, with the latter being a lot more enthusiastic about it than the former.
"Are you guys gonna talk to the camera?" Don asked from offscreen. "Do you guys even speak English?"
Oggy just puts his hands out while shaking his head.
"So you can't speak to us, but you can understand English." Don tried to confirm this.
Both Oggy and Jack nod, before returning to waving at the camera.
"Good to know." Don stated.
The next two people stepped off the train and marvelled at the train station. The first one was a young fit male with blonde hair, black tank top and a white jacket tied around his white pants. The second was a dark skinned female with white hair, a white officer's cloak over some slightly skimpy clothes, and a commander's hat.
"Sin Kiske and Ramlethal Valentine, two Best Friends and powerful warriors in their own right." Don announced.
-Interview: Best Friends-
"Kinda weird that I'm doing this race without Dad or my Old Man." Sin rubbed the back of his head. "But at least I'll get to see new places, that's for sure."
"The experience is something you and I both need. I've observed the nature of its race by its previous season, and the challenges it provides might allow us to become more open-minded." Ramlethal explained.
"But hey. At least I have someone I'm fond of joining me here." Sin smiled. "I hope you can see us, guys back home!"
The next group consisting of kids walk out of the train, with one more excited than the other. The first kid was a jaded dark-skinned boy with messy black hair and blue jacket, and the other one is an energetic girl with long green hair and red overalls over a yellow shirt.
"Max and Nikki, the Campers of the dysfunctional Camp Campbell." Donn announced.
-Interview: Campers-
"Finally, someone understands the hellscape that is Camp Campbell! Part of the reason I decided to join this show is to get away from it and all the weirdos there, especially David." Max frowned at the camera.
"Hey, at least he's motivated. That's a start, right?" Nikki stated.
"Damn straight. I'll be sure to mock that camp every step of the way." Max stated. "And if I do win this race, I'll rub it in David's face for an entire week, before building my own summer camp purely to overshadow Camp Campbell."
"That's the spirit. Our team is up and ready to plow through all that stand in our way." Nikki says with determination.
The next two people were two dark-skinned males. One wore a green baseball jacket and dark jeans and the other wore a green tee and jeans along with a green cap that spelled CH.
"Franklin and Lamar. Two high ranking Thugs hailing from the Chamberlain Hills Families." Don announced.
-Interview: Thugs-
"Man, how'd I get demoted to thug? I almost die multiple times just to be in the same category as this motherfucker?" Franklin asked.
"Shut up, n****, you always complainin'. It's just a team name, no need to cry over it." Lamar stated.
"How'd the n**** even guilt trip the producers to demote me like this? I know for sure they just did it because they pitied him." Franklin exclaimed.
"N****, please. They could've pitied your whining ass since you've kept that yee-yee ass haircut." Lamar backhanded with an insult.
"Are you gonna control the use of that word?" Don ask offscreen. "You two are the only people here that use it here and you're already pushing the producer's limits."
"Alright, Don. If it means being able to travel the world longer, I'll try to keep it down." Lamar stated.
"Yeah, we'll see about that." Franklin muttered.
Then two more people walk out of the train. One was a large and hulking male with pale skin and red spartan tattoos, and rough leather leggings, and the other is a shorter younger male with combed hair and a leather archer's outfit.
"Kratos and Atreus, Gods of the Greek and Nordic mythologies respectively." Don announced.
-Interview: Gods-
"Lighten up, brother. This is an organized competition. No need to keep your guard up." Mimir spoke from Kratos' belt.
"I am lightened up. I am just curious what this race has to offer." Kratos stated as he crossed his arms.
"Really? Doesn't look like it." Atreus stated. "Anyway, I'm pretty excited to try out this race. Since it's less about slaying magical gods, I feel it can give us a bit of a challenge. And plus, there are more people here than we've ever seen back in Midgard."
"An interesting upside." Mimir stated.
Kratos grunted in agreement to this.
The next team that left the train were two young women. One had short combed blonde hair and a blue dress, and the other one had longer hair to her shoulders and a bright turquoise dress.
"Lori and Leni Loud, the eldest Sisters of the Loud family." Don announced.
-Interview: Sisters-
"Wait, where's the camera?" Leni asked as she was facing away from the camera.
Lori went and turned the chair around, letting Leni face the camera one again.
"Oh. Thanks." Leni smiled.
"This is who I have to race with? Why didn't I go with Bobby?" Lori sighed.
"Wait, we're in a race?! I could've bought the perfect outfit for this!" Leni began to panic.
"Leni! You can go shopping when the time calls for it. This race will have us travel all over the world!" Lori stated. "Who knows what places we'll visit? Egypt, Italy, Japan. Or maybe even Paris!"
"Oh, now I'm in." Leni smirked at the prospect of traveling.
The next team to step off were two people that the network were familiar with. One was a young Asian-American girl with a cyan beanie, red coat over a yellow shirt and jeans, and the other one was a pretty fat male with combed brunette hair, a buttoned blue shirt and yellow shorts.
"Returning from their debut in the Total Drama reboot, Mary Kate and Ripper, the Underdogs of their season." Don announced.
-Interview: Underdogs-
"Underdogs? Underdogs?!" Ripper was unhappy about their team name.
"Yeah, we technically are." MK stated.
"What do you mean?! I was the best player before I was eliminated!" Ripper exclaimed.
"Really? If I asked 'What was Ripper like?' to any other competitor in our season, 'dominant presence' wouldn't even be close on all their lists." MK stated.
"Um, hello? Alpha Male here?" Ripper raised an eyebrow at this. "But even if our team name is a drawback, we're here for our comeback to win the million!"
Ripper throws his hands up in celebration, while MK sneakily steals the guy's wallet.
The next two people were kids as well. One was a kid with a large green hat and orange jacket, and the other one was a fat kid with a blue beanie and a red jacket.
"Kyle Broflovski and Eric Cartman, each other's Worst Enemies hailing from South Park, Colorado." Don announced.
-Interview: Worst Enemies-
"I swear, it seems like everyone else in this race got to choose their partners, meanwhile I have to deal with this fatass." Kyle exclaimed.
"Hey! I'm not fat, I'm big-boned, you stupid fucking Jew!" Cartman retorted.
"Shut up, dipshit!" Kyle yelled.
"Hey, we picked you two because we felt it was good for the rating." Don called out offscreen. "But you need to control your anit-semitism, Cartman. It isn't good on our brand."
"Oh yeah? Make me!" Cartman yelled.
"Oh, I will. Specifically for your team, Cartman, everytime you insult Kyle's Jewish heritage, you'll get a random debuff for the rest of the episode, which will be shown by a silly hat that appears on Cartman." Don explains. "If you don't want to kiss goodbye to your million dollars, better respect Kyle's religion."
"Wha- oh, come on!" Cartman exclaimed.
"You hear him, right? Now we better get moving. There are still more contestants to arrive." Kyle stated.
The next group were two young redhead women that look almost exactly alike, whilst carrying archery gear. One had her hair tied up into multiple braids and wearing a leather tribal outfit with tech embedded into it, and the other had her hair cut short while wearing white silk clothing.
"Aloy and Beta, Genetic Clones of the famous Elisabet Sobeck." Don announced.
-Interview: Genetic Clones-
"Well… this is new." Aloy marveled at the situation.
"Yeah, I've never fathomed people of the Old World competing in things like this." Beta said.
"Yeah, and we're willing to try it out." Aloy says. "And since this world is similar to the Age of Metal in our world, then might as well take in the culture."
"We'll get to see the history of the world firsthand!" Beta exclaimed.
The next group that left the train were two young Asian women. One had black hair tied into two ponytails and an orange chinese outfit, and the other has brown messy hair covered with a rainbow cap, a rainbow bikini top and short shorts.
"Ling Xiaoyu and Miharu Hirano, close friends and Schoolgirls associated with the King of Iron Fist Tournament." Don announced.
-Interview: Schoolgirls-
"So, how's it feel being back on TV?" Miharu asked.
"It feels pretty great, and this will be fun since we'll be around the world while we're at it." Xiaoyu smiled.
"Are you sure we're ready for this? Look at half the people we'll be competing with." Miharu worried.
"This isn't a fighting tournament. We have a chance here. And besides, we're just here for fun." Xiaoyu stated.
The next group leaves the train. One was a young American male with a black baseball cap and headset, red tee and long shorts, while the other was a tall man whose head was covered in a maroon mask and had a dark red suit and tie.
"Scout and Spy, our resident Mercenaries from 2Fort." Don announced.
-Interview: Mercenaries-
"This feels pointless." Spy blurted out.
"Aw, come on man. Think about this as a sort of new challenge to take on." Scout groaned.
"And that I will do, since we are now chosen to compete. Don't slow me down." Spy said.
"Heh. Not a problem." Scout smirked at this as he swung his bat. "Those chumps won't know what hit them."
The next two people walk out of the train. One was a young Asian man with red hair and similarly red eyes, and a green and black checkered coat over a brown uniform, and the other was a young Asian girl with long black hair that turns orange at the end and a black kimono with pink blossom designs.
"Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado, Brother and Sister, the Demon and Demon Slayer duo." Don announced.
-Interview: Brother and Sister-
"You mean we can talk to this thing like it's the audience?" Tanjiro asked Don.
"Yes. When it's on, whatever you do will be recorded, which will then be edited and repackaged for all the world to see." Don explained.
"Wow! So this is what better technology can do? Amazing!" Tanjiro smiled at the new information. "Hi, everyone! I'm so honored to be chosen in this competition!"
"Hi everyone!" Nezuko smiled as she waved to the camera.
"We thought this would be a good activity to do as we take a break. Hope we make it far in this race!" Tanjiro smiled.
The next two people come out of the train. One was a young Asian woman with two buns and a braid as her hair, a navy blue top and similarly colored pants, and the other one was a dark-skinned woman with hair in braided locks and multiple barretts, a green top and a black tracksuit pants.
"Jolyne Kujo and Ermes Costello, Stand Users and Former Inmates of Green Dolphin Street Prison." Don announced.
-Interview: Former Inmates-
"Hey, Jolyne. What do you think you're getting us into with this race?" Ermes asked.
"I just thought it'd be fun for us to compete. I didn't expect to be actually chosen." Jolyne shrugged.
"Did you really have to drag me into this? Why not Anasui? Or Weather?" Ermes asked.
"Weather was busy, and besides, you know how Anasui is. He might somehow kill someone in this race if it meant to protect me." Jolyne stated.
"Well, I see your point there." Ermes stated. "Eh, why not? It's gonna be ride or die with us in the race."
The next team walked out, and this was a strange pair. The first one was a young Korean girl with short light brown hair, a grayish-blue hoodie, beige pants and red glasses. And this kid is accompanied by a large anthropomorphic polar bear.
"Chloe Park and Ice Bear, scientific Brainiacs whose bond is as strong as their intelligence." Don announced.
-Interview: Brainiacs-
"Hi, Mom and Dad, and everyone back in San Francisco!" Chloe waved happily at the camera.
"Ice Bear greets you all, viewing world." Ice Bear says in monotone as he smiles. "Ice Bear would like to shoutout to Grizz and Panda, as well as everyone else back home."
"This is going to be so cool! Going out to travel in a race, and with a chance to get a million dollars!" Chloe excitedly says.
"Ice Bear would like the million dollars." Ice Bear agreed to this.
The two friends high five as the bear smiles at Chloe's enthusiasm.
The next team literally leaps out of the train as they hype themselves up. One was a dark skinned male with a beard and mohawk wearing barbarian armor and carrying a mallet, while he was riding on a warthog.
"Well if it isn't the Hog and his Hog Rider, the Dynamic Duo." Don announced.
-Interview: Dynamic Duo-
"Come on, team! Let's win this thing!" Hog Rider stated.
"Alright!" Hog says in a deep voice.
"Say, why don't we get some sodas before we do this thing?" Hog Rider asked.
"Hmmm… Alright." Hog agreed to this.
Hog Rider then mounts Hog and the two charge out of scene, with sounds of destruction being heard offscreen.
The next team walks out of the train while posing cockily at the camera, being two anthropomorphic animals. One was a tall giraffe with comb brown hair and royal clothes, and the other was a short penguin with large glasses and wearing a heavy flannel jacket.
"Lonky and Popo, two Tricksters of the Running Man Championship." Don stated.
-Interview: Tricksters-
"All those chumps better watch where they're headed. They're going up against Prince Lonky, 50th in line to the throne!" Lonky cockily points at the camera.
"Hey, weren't you 49th in line, last I heard?" Popo asked.
"Well they don't need to know that! Besides, we've been in the Running Man Championship. A race like this is nothing." Lonky says.
"Yeah. With your trickery and my cards, we'll have the money and have fame across multiple worlds!" Popo stated.
"Yeah! The ultimate duo, Lonky and Popo, ready to take on the world!" Lonky yelled as he and his partner pointed upwards.
The next two people walk out of the train, being Japanese men in their late 30s. One had combed black hair and a goatee, with a white blazer over a red shirt, and white pants and shoes, and the other one had black short combed hair and short beard, an eyepatch etched with a dragon, a boa snakeskin blazer over nothing, leather pants and leather shoes.
"Kiryu Kazuma and Goro Majima, two high-ranking Rivals of the Yakuza, from the Dojima and the Shimano clans respectively." Don announced.
-Interview: Rivals-
"What do ya think, Kiryu-chan? Ain't this a surprise?" Majima asked.
"When you told me you had something big for me last time we met, this wasn't what I had in mind. You've really outdone yourself this time." Kiryu stated. "Fine, since you kept egging me on, I'll at least try in this race."
"Now that's the spirit! And we get to do challenges different from what we both do on the daily!" Majima stated.
"Hey, I'm all for improving. Now let's see what Don has in mind for this season." Kiryu stated.
"Let's do this, Kiryu-chan!" Majima hyped himself up.
Then the second to last team leaves the train. One was a small baby with a large head wearing red overalls over a yellow shirt, while the other one was an anthropomorphic white labrador retriever.
"Stewie and Brian Griffin, Geniuses of the Griffin family." Don then tapped his earpiece. "I know we greenlit a couple 10 year olds to compete in this race, but you let a baby in as well? Really?"
-Interview: Geniuses-
"Why did we compete here again?" Brian asked.
"The Fat Man fabricated an audition tape of us and sent it as a prank. I know, what are the chances?" Stewie snarked at the situation.
"Right. Well, now that we're here, might as well compete." Brian shrugged.
"Right. At least if we win, we can rub it in his face." Stewie stated.
"Good plan." Brian smirked.
And finally, the last group exited the train station. One was a young male with fire blonde hair and wearing a red ghi, and the other one was a young Chinese female, with two buns for her hair and wearing a blue traditional Chinese outfit with gold outlines.
"And finally, the last team. Ken Masters and Chun-Li, legendary World Warriors that compete worldwide." Don announced.
-Interview: World Warriors-
"Figured we should try a new competition. Maybe this race would be fun to do. Too bad Ryu couldn't come." Ken stated.
"Don't beat yourself up. He's a hard man to find, after all." Chun-Li stated.
"But at least we're a good team. Those teams will never know what hit it." Ken stated.
"Yeah. We are gonna win this." Chun-Li smiles while doing a peace sign.
Once every team was properly introduced, Don approached the crowd as they got hyped up for the race. With the clearing of his throat, the host grabs the attention of everyone in the race.
"Alright. Now that everyone has gotten their time in the limelight, it's time to explain the rules. Those who have seen the show, you already know what I'm about to say. Those who haven't, better get your notes out." Don stated.
"Oh, I didn't know there'd be a test." Leni worriedly stated.
"No need for quizzes though. So, every episode, each team will have to inquire at the Don Box, where teams will be given a Travel Tip and be noted of their next destination and/or challenge." Don explained.
"All the challenges are split into four categories. An All-In, where both team members participate in a challenge. A Botch-or-Watch, where only one person can participate. An Either-Or, where you choose between two different challenges, or a Superteam, where your team combines with one or more other teams." Don explains the challenge types. "Once all challenges of the day have been completed, it's off to the Chill Zone. Finish last, and you may be cut from the competition."
"Eventually, the teams will drop, and only one will win the fabled cash prize of one million dollars!" Don ends the explanation on a high note.
Many of the teams yell in excitement, and get themselves ready for the race. Smiling at the excitement, Don raises his hand.
"Now, is everybody ready?" Don asked.
"Right!" The more energetic of the group yelled out.
"Now that's music to my ears. Let's get the race train going." Don says. "The door that leads outside this station is the starting point, and our first Don Box is waiting right outside. Now for the race to begin."
Franklin and Lamar begin to stretch their limbs.
"Ready…"
Miharu takes out her phone before taking a selfie with Xiaoyu.
"Set…"
Hog Rider and his Hog were seen drinking a couple soda cans they brought with them.
"Race!" Don yelled out, before the crowd of racers ran his way. "Oh no!"
Don jumps out of the way as the racers make their way out of the train station. Seeing that he wasn't trampled half to death like last time, he stood up and recomposed himself.
"I'm sorry, but the introductions had taken too long. We're going to have to cut this one short. But keep in mind that only the Toronto leg will be similar to the previous one. Once they fly from Canadian shores, it will be all new, unfamiliar territory." Don explained to the camera. "Now let's see who will be the first one to drop? Find out next time on… The Ridonculous Race: Zeta!"
Teams:
