Prologue

Frisked to the extreme

Frisk's eyes opened, sky… Pure, blue sky, after watching for a while the human rose up from within a field of wheat. Where were they? Doctor Alphys's experiment actually worked!? Although Frisk generally trusted his monster companions, Frisk was becoming of that age where the more cynical side began to form. Frisk was a normal human from a normal home, however, over the years their life became more and more strange. For starters, Frisk fell deep into Mount Ebott, an ancient mountain used to house all the monster race. After freeing the monster's they played a pivotal role in the reintegration process and the forming of the United Ebott Republic. U.E.R for short.

Frisk had short brown hair, which by now was slowly darkening, Wore a simple blue and purple striped sweater that had to be restitched from there growth. As Frisk looked around quickly, the blades of wheat began to rustle, frightening the foreigner. From out of the wheat, a man wearing a kimono-like shirt? Frisk scrambled to their feet, pulling out the taser Papyrus gave them, the villager was just as shocked, screaming at the top of his lungs and running off. Frisk took a minute to calm themselves down, Alphys had built a machine prior to his transportation, a portal of sorts. This portal in question was made so that humans and monsters from all over Ebott (The Undertale Earth) could arrive in different regions in a blink of an eye. Surprisingly the machine worked on its first try, perhaps working too well…

Frisk maintained composure, walking through the sea of wheat, soon he exited the crops and was able to peer out from behind them. There were more! Several villagers could be seen rolling a cart, a billboard being propped on top of a few bags of seeds. Just then, a distant boom could be heard, Frisk looked around but saw no smoke. The people in front of them were odd to say the least, looking like they were lost in time. The majority of the villagers wore old, gloomy looking attire, but definitely taking heavy Eastern inspiration. Another boom could be heard, this time, a small trail of blue and black smoke plummeted to the ground, a figure zooming above like a fighter jet. Frisk ducked as the momentum of the air caused the wheat to sway greatly, before returning in an instant. Frisk was now sweating, they were way out of their depth, feeling almost like a fish in a desert or an old man in a grand finale race. Suddenly a crowd began to form around the field, Frisk backing away silently, trying their best not to make any noise. Although it was hard to make out what they were saying, Frisk was able to catch a few words, "Who?" "Over there…" "I'm worried" The crowd murmured, from out of the corner of there eye, a red clad figure could be seen walking by, the crowd dispersing and becoming silent.

Just then an arc of light ripped through the field, hitting Frisk directly. The attack paralyzed the adventurer, leaving his beloved sweater a burned tatter from the stomach down. In an instant, the red figure zoomed into his now dimming sight, it was tall, at least compared to Frisk. "What the…?" The red figure said, "More importantly, what are you…?" The red figure asked, Frisk began to panic, sweat dripping down their face, now the figure becoming clear. The figure was a young woman with long black hair and brown eyes. She wore a bright red dress and had white detached sleeves. She had a large red bow in her hair and was holding a long stick with a continuous piece of paper streaming down it. "Hey! Answer me!" The girl shouted, picking up Frisk by the collar, Frisk stayed silent, they're taser dropping to the floor. The maiden threw the young adult a good meter, picking up the taser, "What the…? What's this?" The women asked, Frisk got back up to their feet, the women scowled at Frisk, Frisk could feel they're soul engaging in combat.

Frisk acted quickly, Frisk asked the woman who she was. "Eh…? Reimu… Why?" Reimu asked, Frisk spared Reimu, but to no effect. "Look kid, don't make the wrong choice here! I was just going about my day as normal, until a villager came screaming by talking about a youkai!" Reimu exclaimed, "But from the looks of it you're nothing but some kid… Care to explain what this is?" Reimu asked, pointing to the taser, Frisk explained what it was and that he was new here. Reimu looked confused, "What…? Could it be, you're from the outside world? You don't look like the other kids… What?" Reimu said, "Wait wait wait, wh-how did you get here?!" Reimu asked, Frisk shrugged, explaining that the transportation portal he went through must've malfunctioned. "Stay right here…!" Reimu commanded before blasting off into the air, after a minute of waiting, Reimu floated down to Frisk's location, now a black clad woman by her side. "Marisa, watch over this outsider while I get Yukari!" Reimu commanded, "If she'll wake up…" Marisa responded, with no hesitation Reimu returned to the air, leaving Marisa and Frisk alone.

Marisa shrugged, Marisa had long blonde hair and yellow eyes. Marisa wore a white undershirt, a black vest and a black skirt on top. On her head she wore a black witch hat with a large white bow. Both stood still, staring at each other for quite a while until Marisa cleared her throat, "So uhh… You're not a Youkai right?" Marisa asked, Frisk shook their head, "Yeah, didn't think so…" Marisa responded, "So what's going on here? Reimu just told me to watch you, what, did you do something bad…?" Marisa asked, Frisk explained that he was not from here, but from a place called Ebott. Marisa scratched her head, "So… You're from the outside world?" Marisa asked, Frisk shrugged, just then, a portal filled to the brim with eyes opened up beneath them, causing Frisk to fall into an eye filled void for but a moment, landing on a hardwood floor.

As Frisk's eyes adjusted, he noticed that they were now trapped inside a wooden prison cell of sorts, one half of the room being a normal living room, while the other half being a wooden cage. A woman in a purple dress nodded confidently, "Incident solved Reimu, perhaps I should be the next shrine maiden!" The woman said, "Screw off Yukari, I don't see how this has solved anything!" Reimu responded, "Ah yes! From the attire and the odd appearance of this human I am certain that they are from the outside world, especially considering their gaudy taste in fashion…" Yukari said, "And?!" Reima snapped, "And they shall be kept here until further notice! They may be of some use later down the road…" Yukari said before teleporting away. Reimu sighed, "Sorry kid, looks like you'll be staying here for a while, so you can't tell me what happened in full, I'll wait…" Reimu said, "W-W-" Frisk said before being cut off, "Sorry I gotta go! I don't get paid to babysit!" Reimu snapped before flying away, leaving Frisk all alone, "I-I…" Frisk muttered, Gensokyo…

Ebott aboveground science and research complex

"Frisk! F-Frisk! Have y-y-you arrived yet?!" Alphys shouted, sweat dripping down her face, Sans lowered his head, "Alphys… It's been twenty minutes… I think Frisk's gone…" Sans said, "Sans! Stop saying that! T-T-They can't! T-They're not!" Alphys shouted, on the verge of tears, "And you're sure you set the coordinates correctly?" Sans asked, "I-I'm the head scientist! O-O-Of course I would… I think…" Alphys said, Sans leaned over to the terminal, scanning frantically over the numbers. The air grew more tense by the second, Alphys now softly sobbing at the supposed loss, just then the skeleton shouted, "That's it!" Sans shouted, "W-What is it…?" Alphys asked, "The middle digits were mismatched… Wherever the kid was sent to— Alphys, save those coordinates!" Sans shouted, "H-Huh?!" Alphys responded, "Prepare the portal for teleportation!" Sans shouted, "I'm going after them… Reopen the portal after 24 hours, got it!?" Sans asked, "If we want to ensure your safety, we'll have to make it a 48 hour period, so as to not overheat the portal… It's still in its Beta phase…" Alphys exclaimed, "Right… Ok, turn it on!" Sans shouted, just then the portal crackled to life, the complex machinery at San's feet glowing beneath him, Sans was not a novice in the science of portals and inter-dimensional travel, he grew up with the mysterious Doctor Gaster for most of his life.

The portal flashed and in an instant, the lab coat wearing skeleton was gone… Alphys sighed as the phone rang, Alphys picked it up, "Yes…?" Alphys asked, "No… They are fine, hmm…? What do you mean, It worked perfectly, no no… You don't need to make yourself known, y-you know that? Sorry… Won't they be afraid? Right… No one should be afraid… Of the future…" Alphys said before ending the call, Alphys readjusted her lab coat before staring at the portal, "No one… No one should be afraid… Of the future" Alphys repeated.
