"Bonnie, I'm here!"
"What the hell," said Bonnie as he walked to the front door with Chi behind him.
Fenrir was barking at the front door as he smelt someone outside the door. Bonnie gently moved to the door before he opened it to see his cousin Rockstar Bonnie or RB for short standing there. He was surprised since he hadn't seen his cousin in a few years.
"RB," he said in surprise, "what are you doing here?!"
"My parents kicked me out," RB replied.
"So, you came here. Wait how did you know where I live?!"
"Aunt Daisy told me."
He walked into the house past the couple and the growling wolf at their side. Bonnie put a hand onto his head stopping him from attack his cousin.
"This is a nice place that you got here," said RB.
"Bonnie, who's this guy," Chi asked.
"Oh, I didn't know that you already had a roommate," said RB.
"Chi, this is my cousin RB, RB this is my fiancé Chi," said Bonnie.
"I didn't know that you were engaged," said RB.
"Well, you don't know even how to tell time."
"That's not true, I do know how to tell time."
"Oh yeah, without looking at your phone what does that clock on the wall say," Bonnie asked.
RB looked up at the clock that was above his head. Bonnie knew that it take a while. Chi looked at Bonnie confused before looking back at RB.
"two hundred," said RB.
"You mean two o' clock," said Bonnie, "and no, it's nine-twenty two in the morning."
"Oh, yeah," said RB, "I knew that."
"Sure, you did," Bonnie replied knowing better than that.
"Why are you here at our house," Chi asked.
"Well, I kind of need a place to stay," said RB.
"RB, I can't let you do that," said Bonnie, "you can't just spring this on me like this and besides, we have a kid on the way."
"You're pregnant," RB cheered touching Bonnie's stomach.
"Not me," Bonnie shouted, "Chi is!"
"He is always like this," Chi asked.
"Yep, he's not right in the head," Bonnie replied, "he has been like that since we were little."
"Why, does he think that he can stay here?"
"I always looked out for him as a kid."
"I see, well we can't just throw him out into the streets."
"Um, are you sure about that angel? He tends to cause trouble and with the baby on the way, it could cause some stress for you and I don't want that."
"It'll be fine," Chi assured him, "besides, he's family anyways and so, we can't let him live on the streets. He's going to be our baby's first cousin after all."
"You're too kind for your own good sometimes," said Bonnie, "okay, I guess that he can stay. I promise that I'll watch him so that way you don't have to worry and besides, I know how to handle him."
He turned to see RB drawing on the wall that connected the living room to the kitchen. He walked over and took the marker from him.
"Give me that," said Bonnie.
"Hey, I was drawing a picture for the baby," RB whined.
"RB, you can stay with us," said Bonnie.
"Yay!"
"But, there are you a few ground rules first."
"Aw, really."
"Yes, you cause a lot of trouble and with my fiancé pregnant, we can't have that. Rule one: no drawing on the walls."
"Not even a little bit?"
"No."
"You're no fun."
"Rule two: don't invite people over without talking to me first. Rule three: no crimes of any kind."
"Does that include…?"
"No taking other people's stuff."
"Aw, no fun."
"Rule four: you never ever under any reason cause stress for my fiancé. I want her to relax, and she can't if you cause trouble. So, no pranks, no setting the house on fire and no shouting."
"Is that it?"
"One more, no using your magic to cause trouble."
"Fine, you take the fun out of everything."
"I have a family to think about!"
"Um, by the way Bonnie. Do you know that there's a dog in your house."
"Yes, I know and second: he's not a dog, he's a wolf. You might not want to confuse the two as he's very sensitive about that."
"So, is he your pet?"
"Yes, his name is Fenrir."
"Fen?"
"No, Fenrir, oh never mind."
Fenrir growled at RB while standing in front of Chi protectively. Chi placed a hand onto his head. She knew that this was going to get some getting use to for them all.
"Why is he growling at me," RB asked.
"He's being protective," Bonnie replied, "he sees us as his family."
"Will he see me as family too?"
"He might, just give him time."
"Okay then, so where's my room?"
"Follow me."
Bonnie led him up the stairs and down the hall to the furthest room from his and Chi's. Bonnie knew that he screams in his sleep and didn't want him to wake up Chi in the middle of the night.
"This is your room," said Bonnie.
"Why can't I sleep in the room next to yours?"
"Because, that's going to be the baby's room and you scream in your sleep. I want to have my fiancé waking up in the middle of the night because of that."
"Fine," RB groaned, "you seem to be making a lot rules because of her. Is she holding you against your will?"
"No, I love her, and she is carrying our baby," Bonnie replied, "I want to make it easier for her as much as possible."
"You're no fun anymore."
"We're not kids anymore! We have to be responsible."
"Responsible? That's crazy."
"Whatever, just get settled in will ya."
He walked away heading toward the stairs. RB watched him walk away. Bonnie always looked out for him when they were kids.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to call your parents! I need to know the reason why you were kicked out."
#
"So, that's why," said Bonnie, "yeah, no, I know understand Aunt Susie. Right, I'll keep an eye on him."
He hung up the phone with his aunt. Chi walked over to him to see him setting the phone onto the counter. This was going to be interesting to say the least.
"What did your aunt say," she asked.
"They got tired of him setting things on fire," he replied, "I'm sorry about this angel. I would never want to do this to you."
Chi placed a hand onto his shoulder and turned him to face her. She leaned forward and kissed him on the mouth. He wrapped his arms around her waist as he returned the kiss.
"It's okay," she said, "we can't leave your cousin on the streets. It's the least that we can do for him."
"You're right, I promise that I'll help him find a place of his own so that way we won't have to deal with him for long."
"Um, Bonnie," RB called from the top of the stairs.
Bonnie knew that tone too well. He ran up the stairs with Chi right behind him. They found RB leaning against the door to the bathroom with Fenrir barking at the door in warning.
'What did you do now," Bonnie asked.
"Bonnie," Chi called pointing to the bottom of the door.
Bonnie looked down to see water coming out of the bathroom. He sighed as he knew what happened.
"Did you flood the bathroom again?!"
"I was practicing my magic with the mirror," RB replied.
"You know better than to use magic on a reflective surface like that," Bonnie shouted, "what were you trying to do."
"I got thirsty, so I wanted to…"
"You used a water spell didn't you?"
"Yes."
"You know that you can get water from the sink!"
"You mean the toilet?"
"NO!"
Bonnie pushed him aside and held up his hand. Fenrir barked at the water that was coming out of the bathroom. Bonnie closed his eyes and focused on the water pouring out. Chi and RB watched as the water disappeared. Bonnie sighed as he turned to RB.
"Remember what I said about using your magic to cause trouble?!"
He slapped him upside the head. Chi grabbed his arm to stop him from slapping him any further. Bonnie glared at his cousin before letting out a sigh.
"Ow," RB whined.
"Don't do that again, you got me."
"Okay, I won't."
"Good, now I need to see how bad the damage."
Bonnie opened the bathroom door to see just how much damage that he needed to repair. It didn't seem to be too bad.
"Okay, we were able to stop it before anything got too much."
"Can you fix it," Chi asked.
"Yeah, I can," he replied, "it shouldn't take too long."
"Right," said Chi.
#
"I'm really sorry," said RB.
"Don't worry about it," said Chi, "Bonnie, will fix it right up."
Fenrir kept eyeing RB while he sat down at Chi's feet. After he saw what RB did to the bathroom: he wasn't going let him anywhere near Chi. Chi was sitting on the couch while RB was sitting in the recliner. Chi was petting Fenrir on the head as he stared at RB.
"Okay," said Bonnie coming down the stairs, "I managed to finish the repairs to the bathroom. RB, you need to be careful for now on."
"Okay," RB replied.
Bonnie sat down beside Chi and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She leaned against him and rested her head onto his shoulder smiling up at him. He kissed her on the beak which she returned. RB looked away from the couple making out on the couch. Things just got interesting around here.
