A JoJo's Bizarre Adventure/ Kingdom Hearts One-Shot

Jotaro, Joseph, Avdol, Polnareff, and Kakyoin had made it to Cairo, Egypt and already they've had to face some mild speed bumps in their long journey.

Along with facing and surviving two powerful Stand Users, Kakyoin was out of commission and residing in the local hospital. Even with the newly added support of Iggy, Jotaro didn't trust that mutt all too much. At least he had proven his worth dealing with N'Doul and his water stand Geb.

Still, another speed bump came from the actual purpose of being in Cairo in the first place.

Finding and ending DIO. The mansion he was hiding away in proved more troublesome than it initially appeared, maybe even more so than Iggy and Kakyoin's absence.

They had less than a week to find and kill that vampiric son of a bitch and they couldn't even find where he was holing himself up in.

Jotaro cursed himself when he noticed the old man was still snoozing. The life of his daughter and Jotaro's mother was at stake and he couldn't even remember to set the alarm?

"Good grief, old man. I'm not waiting for you to get up.", Jotaro mentally cursed to himself as he left the hotel lobby with Polnareff in tow.

Both agreed to stick together and search for the building in case they grew to suspect of unintentionally ending up in the crosshairs of an Enemy Stand User.

The Japanese High School student overheard the French fighter of encountering an enemy but by the time he turned around to look, neither were anywhere to be found. Even when Jotaro called out to him, he got nothing in response. The Joestar merely assumed he was in hot pursuit and would handle the situation with Silver Chariot.

And so he turned around and went on his way. After running to a bucktoothed, weirdly-dressed kid in baggy clothes(or to be more specific, said kid running into him) he wondered if the old man was finally awake by now and that Avdol was making sure they were keeping out of trouble.

As he walked down the sandy street, Jotaro passed by a nearby alley when he suddenly felt an abnormal chill. Like an alarm going off in his head, he turned and peered down the alleyway, now noticing how dark it was inside.

"It's broad daylight and yet there's some kind of shadow down there that's too pitch black to be natural lighting.", he thought as he saw on closer inspection an sideways ovular blob of pure darkness. About as big as an average doorway and shaped like a sideways eye with wisps of blackish smoke emanating from it, there was no question about it. He summoned Star Platinum.

"That's gotta be an enemy stand. Yet why isn't it doing anything?", Jotaro pondered.

"Hey! If you're an enemy stand user, consider your bones broken the moment you try anything.", he called out to the shadowy gate, only to receive no response.

He tried to use his Stand's immense sight to seek anything past the dark veil but to no avail.

"Dammnit…", he grumbled as he knew he couldn't just leave it here. He entered the alleyway and approached the massive shadow.

After a simple Star Finger attack at the shadow, he learned it felt eerily cold and almost suffocating to an extent. Jotaro knew what had to be done though and decided to just get it over with, even if it was most likely a trap set in place for him specifically.

He walked carefully and steadily into the dark corridor.

He found it slightly more difficult than normal to breathe inside the dark void, like the high altitude of a mountain, but it wasn't enough to hinder the usage of his Stand.

As he continued forward, he held his hat down, feeling rolling fogs of darkness rolling past him like waves of an ocean or harsh winds of a storm.

Jotaro soon found himself standing on some clear round platform of sorts as beneath him, a purplish glowing miasma reminiscent of a galaxy glowed and swirled. Giant, black, rootlike tendrils rose out from the swirl alongside dark purple bubbles and more wisps of purple smoke outside of the round platform. Beyond that, pitch black storm clouds oversaw a purple skyline. Despite the drastic shift in scenery, what caught Jotaro's attention the most was the fact that he wasn't alone in this new setting.

Just a few meters away from him stood another figure, a man that had his back turned to him. The man spoke up with a deep voice that would've gotten the High School delinquent's attention had he not had it already.

"So… you have found yourself in stumbling into the dark."

"I take it all this is your doing?", Jotaro replied.

The man turned around, giving the Joestar a clear look of his newest adversary. The man appeared around Polnareff's age, if not slightly younger. He had dark tan skin and white hair that flowed down to slightly above his waist.

He was dressed with black pants and knee-length boots, two black belts, a black coat with grey shoulder-pads and adorned with straps and buckles, white arm-length gloves and matching white shirt under the coat. The shirt was unbuttoned enough to expose the man's brown chest underneath, though oddly held a strange red sigil on its center. The symbol looked like a crossed-out heart.

However, it was his eyes that caught Jotaro's attention. His eyes, which had an orange-yellow tint, had an intensity that would've had the delinquent mistake the man for DIO himself had he not been shown a photo of him by his grandfather.

"I have traversed many worlds, seeking out powerful hearts that have swayed themselves to the darkness. There is a heart in this world that can bring out such shadows from others."

The man outstretched his his arms to his sides.

"I am Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness.", the man stated as he then pointed towards Jotaro.

"Your rage, your fury. Your heart is mighty. You must be the one I felt. Give yourself over to the darkness and I promise you, you shall attain power unlike anything in your wildest dreams. Power that shall grant you whatever you desire.", the stranger said as his pointed hand turned into an outstretched open palm.

The Japanese teen eyed the enemy.

"I've got no idea what you're going on about 'hearts' and 'darkness'. All I see is another minion radical of DIO.", he replied as he brought out Star Platinum, having the Stand raise its fists in a boxer's stance.

"But if kicking your ass is what it'll take to get some answers out of you or at least get out of here, then you've brought this on yourself."

He ran towards Ansem, Star Platinum's fist reared back.

"ORA!"

"COME, GUARDIAN!"

Only to be met with a figure coming out from behind Ansem, shielding the man in an outstretched stance like a human shield, only it was anything but human. The Dark Figure was about the same size as Star Platinum, only having its legs replaced by a genie tail. Other than that, it had pitch black skin like a living shadow and had similar musculature to the Stand's own arms and torso. The similarities ended with a gaping heart-shaped hole in said torso, lengthy antennae reminiscent to rabbit ears or horns, soulless blank white eyes, and bandages wrapped around its mouth, shoulders, chest and head.

"So that's his Stand. Along with making this place, it's ability also seems to include being real durable. Damn thing's tough, I'll give it that. I'll just have to give it a whole lot more too.", said Jotaro.

After the Guardian returned to his side, Ansem began to levitate slightly off the ground, arms crossed and a punchable smirk on his face.

"If you won't give yourself to the darkness, then allow me to… HELP YOU SUBMIT!", he declared.

The Guardian swiped at Jotaro, only to be intercepted by a right hook from Star Platinum. The Stand and the Dark Figure began to exchange blows at a rapid pace, punch by punch, until eventually the Stand managed to land a hit across its face.

Ansem then floated back, deciding to switch up tactics as the Guardian's hands began to glow. It soon started throwing disks of purple energy at the teenage delinquent.

Jotaro, with the help of Star Platinum, dipped and dodged the deadly projectiles. He considered having Star Platinum try to deflect some like he had done before with Kakyoin's Heirophant's Emerald Splash, but right now there were too many variables.

"It's a short-range Stand but has long-ranged attacks? This might be a bigger pain than I thought. As far as I know, he's got the home field advantage with this place.", Jotaro thought to himself.

The Joestar continued to sidestep and avoid the oncoming maelstrom until Ansem began to glow and was soon enveloped by a ball of blue energy. The ball then blitzed forward, threatening to ram the teen.

Jotaro managed to dodge the first rush, but when Ansem attempted to charge again, Jotaro decided to stand his ground. He made sure to time it just right as the Seeker closed the gap between them in a blink of an eye.

"ORA!"

Star Platinum's fist put the white-haired man's assault to a screeching halt with a well-timed punch to the Guardian's face followed by another punch to his own, sending them both careening back.

Even though he wasn't the one to get hit, Jotaro was surprised to find himself beginning to get out of breath. He was getting exhausted and couldn't figure out why.

"What the hell? He hasn't even touched me and I'm already out of breath. Why?"

He then remembered his new surroundings and thoughts connected in his mind.

"Hold on… don't tell me it's this damn place… that D'Arby guy could steal souls instantly from those that lost his games… is this guy doing the same thing to me? He's been sapping… my stamina… slowly… this whole time…"

His thoughts were getting harder to keep solid and focused but he knew he had to press on.

Ansem floated back, still in his confident pose and a smirk that Jotaro wanted to wipe off in an instant with Star Platinum's knuckles. The Guardian's hands began to glow as it unleashed even more energy disks.

Jotaro's focus was getting hazy as he was able to avoid some of the disks. Some of them but not all as as a few managed to graze his arms and left his school uniform in need of future stitches.

The Guardian let loose another volley of energy disks and Jotaro could've sworn that these seemed to have tracking properties to them. Even when he tried to dodge, they honed in on him like heat-seeking missiles.

"Screw it…", he muttered under his uneven breath as Star Platinum began to parry the stray disks with a barrage of punches.

"ORA!ORA!ORA!ORA!ORA!ORA!ORA!ORA!ORA!"

He was still standing, although keeping Star Platinum solid was taking a toll. Ansem had then suddenly closed the gap and the Guardian had delivered a two-handed overhead strike before Jotaro could even react. Star Platinum managed to block the attack instinctively, but both were knocked back a few good feet.

"Urgh… damnit! It's like… the air's getting… heavier… and yet… it feels… cold…"

His breathes were getting more shallow. Sweat was dampening his brow. If he didn't hurry and wrap this up soon, he'd be screwed.

"Darkness awaits you.", the so-called Seeker called out, a sinister grey aura beginning to emanate from the man. His Guardian then flew straight into the ground. The floor beneath Jotaro's feet began to glow. Not liking the looks of it, he immediately ran a second before the dark figure burst out of the floor like a rocket.

The Joestar thought that would be the end until he noticed the same thing where he was standing now. "Keep running. Keep moving.", he told himself as more of the Guardian kept blasting out of the floor, creating a miniature shockwave with each eruption. After the tenth burst, it returned to its master's side where it unleashed a final four-fold shockwave blast of energy that went out perpendicular to each other. Jotaro had stopped running just enough to avoid running directly into the line of fire.

"You can feel it, can't you? The weight of this power…", Ansem replied, seeing his opponent beginning to stagger.

"…such is the power of darkness. If you had relinquished yourself to it, I would have offered you all that I have learned in my travels. All my knowledge. All my wisdom. But now…"

The Guardian slammed its fists into the ground, sending to shockwaves of energy towards Jotaro. The Joestar was barely able to bring Star Platinum to parry the attack and shield its user. He fell to one knee, his breath and vision getting harder and harder to maintain.

"…you shall perish. Such is the fate of all hearts. Your heart carries such darkness, the same darkness that it was once born from. And it shall now return from once it came."

Jotaro suddenly felt himself sinking. He looked down and saw he was indeed sinking into the once solid floor, shadowy mists had begun to swirl around him as the area threatened to swallow him whole. It felt like he had fallen into thin ice and was now beginning to drown into the frozen murky depths.

"Here you are, all alone in your endeavor. Your rage had carried you so far but now it can carry you no longer. For rage begets darkness, and eventually darkness consumes all.", said Ansem as he looked down at the pissed-off teen with clenched teeth as he struggled against this hungry pit with all his might.

"Is this really it? It's getting harder to fight… it'd be so easy… to just rest… my eyes for… a bit…", Jotaro thought as his sight grew weaker by the second, the darkness reaching past his chest like quicksand as he was nearly submerged.

That's when a thought popped into the delinquent's mind. He wasn't alone in this trip. Out there; Kakyoin, Avdol, Polnareff, and even the old man and the mutt Iggy, were all out there. They were here on a mission, not just to stop DIO but to save his mother's life by risking their own.

They went through and survived so many ordeals, not by throwing in the towel but by having each other's backs. Even if Jotaro was nothing but a thug, they all knew what true evil and true darkness looked like and it certainly wasn't him. They knew and his mother knew that too, she reminded him every day after all.

This preachy bastard was just one in a long line of bastards that dared to stand in their way, and he was well aware of what happened to all of them. This Ansem won't be that different.

"ORA!"

Star Platinum's fist soon rocketed out of the puddle of darkness, striking Ansem right on the cheek and sending him off his feet.

The Stand soon manifested in its entirety and reached into the swirling void. After getting a good grip, it slowly pulled its user out by the arm. Jotaro, now emanating a glowing golden aura, gazed at the enemy who was in a complete state of shock.

"What!? How!?! That's impossible!!! Your rage! It's…i-it's…", the seeker stuttered in confusion and anger.

"So you think my rage comes from darkness? Then you might wanna get your eyes checked. This rage isn't evil… it's righteous fury.", Jotaro replied, straightening his hat with a resolute and stoic demeanor.

"At this point I'm not even sure if you're even working for DIO or not, but right now I don't care. It sounds like your Stand feeds off of negativity. Exploits those with weak wills to sap them of their strength. You just made a mistake trying to take me.", Jotaro said as he stepped closer.

Ansem got to his feet with his Guardian at the ready. He was angered by this boy's insolence and hated the idea that he may have been wrong about his heart being the one he sensed.

"DARKNESS SHALL CONSUME YO-ACK!!!", Ansem was immediately cut off with a solid hit from Star Platinum.

And it didn't stop there.

"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA!ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA!ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA!ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA! ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA!ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA! ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! ORA!"

Star Platinum unleashed a barrage of punches that would've been a blur to the naked eye. Fists flew as both Ansem and his Guardian were pummeled to a pulp.

"GUAAAGH!!!", Ansem cried out as his Guardian vanished and the Seeker was sent flying.

"Guh… I was… wrong abou you. Your heart… wasn't the one… I sensed… hah…", said Ansem as he was now the one struggling to remain standing. He held out a hand.

Jotaro then heard a sound behind him, turned and saw a similar dark void to the one he first discovered.

"Go… and do with them… what you wish. Your light… shines too… bright…", Ansem said as he staggered back into the shadows, fading away from the dark place.

Ansem hated the thought of being bested by someone not of the keyblade's chosen and letting him leave but deep down, he feared what he would be capable of with one in hand.

Although he was not as kind, the light that shined within this individual was almost akin to a certain boy that was fortunate(or unfortunate in his perspective) enough to wield the keyblade.

As the last of Ansem vanished into the dark recesses like a roach to a flashlight, Jotaro merely turned around with his hands in his pockets and let out a simple sigh.

"Good grief…"

After stepping through the dark corridor, Jotaro found himself back in the alleyway in Egypt. When he looked back, he saw the dark portal close.

"I'm just gonna take that as a good sign.", he said to himself, tipping down his hat before walking away.

Eventually he found himself standing in front of a guy that just fell out of a window. The guy was all banged up from the fall and cut up from the window's glass. Looking down at the sight as their eyes met, he could only respond with what was on his mind immediately brought on by it.

"Well, that's something you don't see everyday."

Author's Note

The attacks from Ansem are a compilation of his moves in his first phase boss battles in both the first Kingdom Hearts and Dream Drop Distance. The stage though, is that of the first phase of Dream Drop Distance. The less said about Ansem's design in the second phase of that battle, the better.

In case anyone was wondering, this one-shot was something I wanted to write not just as a neat little crossover encounter between two franchises that I love to death but just to test my writing skills to see if and how I can write a fight scene.

I'd like to hear how you'd all think of it, along with some tips for how I could include details for future fights in other future stories that'll be more action-oriented and serious but still have their comedic moments too.

Any criticism is good except anything too toxic.
