Summary: Courtney is the happiest woman in the world. And there is nothing that can change that.

Ship: Duncan x Courtney

Courtney's life couldn't be better. You could say she's in her prime.

Not only did she get another victory for Team Amazon, but she also managed to rescue her beloved boyfriend from the clutches of the terrible Jack the Ripper with the help of her best friend, Gwen!

After weeks of fighting Heather, putting up with Sierra's madness, and dealing with Cody's uselessness, she can finally count on another ally in this tough race.

Yawn

CIT woke up after a good rest. The challenge ended at four in the morning, and she decided to go to sleep rather than confirm whether her Duncan would survive his first elimination ceremony on the show. He was stronger and smarter than Owen, Tyler and Noah. He would be kicked out only if Chris wanted to play a sick prank on her.

Now the only thing that bothered her was that she couldn't sleep in her pink pyjamas; There were cameras everywhere, and she didn't want to give the production perverts (or the audience) images of her cleavage or ass in full HD.

Her regular clothes itched after the ninth wash, but it was either that or giving shameless fanservice to everyone if she wore a tank top or shorts. It was good that she had packed seven kits, one per day, to avoid any problems. A sewing kit was also in his suitcase to repair any damage caused by McLean's circus.

There's nothing like sleeping in first class...I really needed that! She thought.

The clock showed 9 a.m. It was late by Courtney's standards but early, considering it was only five hours of sleep. She opened the minibar and calmly ate a fruit salad that was there. As the rest of the team was sleeping, she got a box of orange juice, not wanting to wake anyone up with the sound of the juicer in case she wanted something fresher.

After showering, the type-A teenager decided to record a confessional to express all her happiness about the previous night.

"Good morning! Are you guys happy there? Because I feel great!" Courtney's smile was genuine, very different from when she smiled at other people's misfortune or thinking about Duncan.

"I can't believe Duncan is finally back! It sucks that he's on Team Chris, but soon the merger will happen, and we'll be able to go to the final together!" Her smile grew as she clapped her hands.

"And since he's back, I can show him the updated list I've made since he was kicked out," She lifted her blouse a little, taking out her notepad. "He will be quite happy that I removed articles 177 and 96 and paragraph F of the section on intimate relations before marriage." She blushed a little when referring to that paragraph.

"And I no longer have to worry about Gwen trying to steal him from me because now I'm sure she's my friend. Maybe I can take her to the semi-final..." She bit her pencil while writing something.

What semi-final, princess?

Courtney almost attacked the person who entered the confessional until she realized it was Duncan.

"Oh, it's you." The perfectionist calmed down, looking at the punk.

Relax, I'm not a ghost.

How can I be sure?

You can pinch me if you want.

Hmm, I have a better idea...

She cupped his cheeks and pressed her lips to his. It didn't take long for him to reciprocate. Duncan knew exactly how to mess Courtney: while his tongue explored her mouth, one hand caressed her neck while the other firmly squeezed her hip, almost to the ass area.

Unlike her normal personality, the bossy girl changed utterly in these intimate moments, exposing all the fragility she refused to show anyone else. They never got past second base together, but so much time away from Duncan made her want more. She wanted to feel his heat, wanted him to touch her.

Courtney opened her eyes a little, still horny from the kissing. Nobody knew how much she missed those pierced cavemen. The realization of where they were hit her when she saw Gwen staring at them from the hallway with a look of mixed surprise and shock.

"H-Hi Gwen!" She quickly freed herself from Duncan, who was confused by the end of the makeout session.

"Sorry, I didn't see you two there. I think the door is broken..." the goth spoke quietly, still with her eyes wide.

"I think we're done here. Right, Duncan?" CIT asked her boyfriend with a naughty smile.

"We're done?" He replied, still lost with the whole situation.

"Come, I'll show you the updates I made to our relationship contract. You will love what I did with paragraph K of article 87." She took him by the hand, leading him to the common area.

Gwen looked at Duncan with a look of uncertainty. While Courtney was busy talking about her list, the two quickly exchanged words.

"I'm surprised by this action, sir I think I'm going to break up with her," The goth spoke with some venom.

"Give me a few days to deal with this, okay? By the next challenge, you will have your answer." He grumbled, speaking low enough that his girlfriend wouldn't hear.

"Deal. But be warned: I won't drag my friendship with her into the mud to get you in my pants." The loner girl gritted her teeth as she stared at him.

From a distance, the two watched Courtney skipping towards the common area. She turns, waving to both Gwen and Duncan, smiling.

Little does she know that Greece has surprises that could make her as miserable as she was after being prevented from competing in the second season.

But that morning, she was the happiest woman in the world; nothing could change that.

I threw Courtney a bone in this chapter. She deserved to be happy at least once.

You guys decide if this is an AU where Duncan never kissed Gwen or a complementary scene to the canon.

Next Chapter: Gwen is still recovering from her sunburn when a friend appears during her confessional. How will she deal with her feelings?
