"Fever dream high in the quiet of the night
You know that I caught it"
Sam was sleeping calmly in her dorm bed when she felt him. Abraham held her close from behind. His breath made her body tremble and he pushed his hips into her while pulling her body to him.
- What are you doing here? - she whispered.
Abe intertwined his body to hers reaching to her sensitive parts. His slippery cold skin against hers, felt so good.
- I've missed you too much. - he whispered in her ear, licking and biting it.
Sam moaned loud.
- You can't be here.
- I don't care.
Then he kissed her deep. Caressing her naked body. Pulling her legs up around his waist.
- Abe, we promised to take things slow. - she pushing against his chest.
- But, I don't want to. I want to be inside you. I want to feel you wet for me. So wet. You're always so wet. I want to drown in you.
He slipped his hand under her shorts, getting closer and closer of where she wanted him...
BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ
Damn it!
Sam jumped from her bed waking up with her alarm. Her heart beating so fast, she had to sit back down. The memories of her dream to fresh in her mind.
She took her phone and turned the alarm off. She saw there was a message from him.
"I'm counting down the seconds until you're back. I feel like a part of me is missing when you aren't around."
Damn.
"Good morning! So, do these sweet words work on every girl?" - she responded.
"I don't know. I'm still testing."
"Smartass"
" Have you thought about summer vacation plans yet?"
"No. Sorry. Not yet. I'll see to it, I promise. I just been too busy with the lectures."
"You sure are the most enticing professor on the campus. So there must be a line of students to attend your lectures."
"LOL. I wish. They actually think is boring."
" Don't leave me hanging. It's been three months!"
"Sorry. I know. I wish I could come over more often"
I can't believe it's been three months already! Sam had been so busy she barely had time to text him. Between her lectures, the ones she gave and the ones she attended, her project, her part-time job at the diner, she had less and less free time. And all the free time she had, she would be so exhausted she could only sleep.
Besides, Emma and Blake have been pestering her about summer vacation. Since she starting texting Abe, Blake got the most annoying habit of checking her phone. She had tried everything, but he always had a way to cheat. So, in one unfortunate day, he manage to read a text in which they were discussing vacation and found out Abe had invited them over. She never heard the end of it.
- Come on, Sam. We want to meet your boyfriend. And he did invite us. It's not fair. - Emma said.
- Well, what's unfair is you guys always meddling in my life!
- If you don't want us there because you want to be alone with your man, you just need to tell us.
- It's not it.
Actually, the only reason Sam was considering it, was so she would not be completely alone with him. However, the prospect of putting them all together made her stomach drop. She knew it would end with her mortified.
- If you guys are taking things slowanyway. - Blake argued.
- The problem is...
- Come on. Spill it out.
- You guys will probably say things that would make me embarrassed in front of him. And he's so much older and wiser, I don't want to look like a stupid college girl.
- Ouch. I'm offended. - Blake said. - We promise we will not mention your hot affairs with college guys. Since you know, there was none. - Sam rolled her eyes. - And I'll behave. Justin will go. So you know how I'm more serious with him. I don't want him to discover my freaky side so early in our relationship.
- I don't know.
- Trust us, Sam. We promise we will not embarrass you. - Sam raised an eyebrow, and Emma continued - at least we will try really hard.
"Bad, bad boy
Shiny toy with a price
You know that I bought it"
- Oh God! Don't make me regret bringing you guys. - Sam whispered trying to keep calm.
They were at the road for 1 hour and a half, and she had thought about turning back about four times. Blake, Emma and Justin were at the back seat, fighting about everything and anything. In a hot day of 90 degrees, inside a small car.
- I told you one hundred times, Blake.
- If you don't want to sweat, I don't know why the fuck you even came.
- The problem is not the heat. It's you bringing 3 fucking bags in a tiny car.
- So what?
- Couldn't you just had fixed the AC like you promised?
- I didn't promised. I said if I had time.
- Had time? You spent the whole fucking week shopping. We even took care of the diner alone.
- God. You're such a drama Queen, Emma.
- Me?
- You very well could have fixed, hon? - Justin said.
- Ow. Come on. Even you?
- We are fucking sweating like pigs, becauseyou have no responsibility.
- No responsibility? It's not even my car. And tell me, who forgot to get the g-wagon before the mechanic closed?
- I had classes!
- Who goes to classes on the last week before vacation?
- I do. I'm paying this college for knowledge not for fucking around.
Sam took a big breath before turning around.
- Stop fucking fighting. For fuck sake.
- You could have fixed the fucking AC. Now we have to spend more than 2 hours in a fucking sardine can, with an old engine that heats to the temperature of hell, with bad music, in 90 degree heat.
- Bad music?
- I can't take this no more. - Justin said. - Please, tell we are close.
Sam looked at the gps.
- Define close.
- With this two, five minutes.
Sam made a face.
- God help us all.
"Killing me slow, out the window
I'm always waiting for you to be waiting below"
35 minutes later, Sam was ready to jump out of the moving car, when they arrived. Suddenly, she got nervous, her insides turned and she wanted to disappear. There was no turning back now.
In the five minutes it took for her to open the gates and get inside the property, they manage to make her forget all about her nerves and get pissed very quickly. She parked and couldn't get out of the car soon enough.
- I can't take one more minute in the car with you. You're such children.
- You could have spared us from this hell if you had fixed the fucking AC.
- You're using my fucking car! Why didn't you take yours?
- Because, I fucking forgot to pick it up. I'm sorry for being human.
- You should be sorry to be insufferable.
Blake opened his mouth to answer her, but paused looking behind her.
Sam knew at that moment Abe had come out. Blake just ignore her and went in his direction.
- Hi. - he said - I'm Blake. Nice to meet you. Thank you for having us.
He extended the hand to Abe. He looked at his hand and at Sam. She just raised her eyebrows noticing he was without gloves.
- Your nightmares, your problems. - she shrugged and turned away.
Abe just chuckle and took his hand.
- Hi. Nice to meet you, Blake.
Emma came to Samantha's side and said:
- Don't you hate when he acts normal with other people just to make us look crazy. - she rolled her eyes and stepped up.
Blake showed her his tongue. She ignored him and went for Abe.
- Nice to meet you, Abraham. - they shook hands - I heard a lot about you.
Emma blinked at her and Sam sent her a look. This was not in the lines they rehearsed.
- Good things, I hope. - Abe said.
- Wonderful things. - Sam breath deep.
It was Justin's time to greet him and from all of them he was the only one that stared at Abe puzzled. But quickly shook it off, also raising his hand.
- Hello. Sorry in advance for those two, Mister Abraham.
- Just Abe, please.
- Your house is beautiful.
- Thank you. Come on in.
The three entered the house before Sam walked to him and hugged him.
- I wanna die. - she said hiding her face in his chest.
He chuckled.
- You have no idea what it's coming for you.
He took her by the neck and kissed her.
- They're not so bad. - he said.
She laughed.
- You'll see.
And she entered the house.
Later that afternoon, they went to the beach. The girls were laying in reclining chairs with drinks. Blake and Justin were swimming and Abe was sitting in the sand reading.
- Ow, this is really good. - Emma said, slurping.
- Right?
- I can make more. - Abe offered.
- I think it's enough. She's kind of a lightweight. - Sam said.
- Hey. I can hold my liquor!
They laughed. Abe was enjoying watching Sam's exchanges with her friends. She seemed so free and young around them. Carefree. They would bicker but also laugh a lot. He particularly liked Emma, she was kind. Justin still tried constantly not to stare at him, what made things kinda weird between them. And about Blake, he was not sure. He seemed nice and easygoing, but something was off. Maybe he was still jealous of their relationship. Thinking of it, they had spent much more time with her than he. He supposed, putting it all together, they had 1 year of contact maximum. And they have been in touch with her for 4 years. That awoke a pang of self consciousness in him. He wanted Sam to act like this with him.
- Okay girls, bestie time. - Blake said.
They returned from their swimming. Justin sat down on a chair.
- Let's go swimming. The water is great! - he said.
- I'm out. - Justin said toweling himself.
Emma immediately got up excited.
- I'm also out. - Sam said behind her magazine.
- Ah come on, S. Don't be a kill joy.
Sam grunted.
- But I don't want to.
- And you wonder why I tell Emma things before you. - Blake said.
Sam squinted and made a angry face.
- Come on. Flip me off. I know you're dying to.
Sam said nothing and laid back, crossing her legs.
- Asshole.
- You can come the easy way or I can drag you.
Sam sat up in her chair and looked around, leaning to look behind Blake.
- You and which army? - she said, trying to look serious.
Blake took a deep breath.
- Is this a challenge? Emma, she's challenging me.
Emma sighed and walked away.
- You are such morons.
- Come. Let's go. - Blake started walking in her direction.
- No, seriously Blake, I don't want to.
- I don't care.
He acted so fast that she didn't see him coming. Grabbing both of her wrists. He took off her dress, leaving her only in her bikini, and pulled her up in his shoulder. Sam screamed outraged.
- Put me down now! - she screamed with the most autoritary voice she could muster.
Blake just laughed and ran after Emma who was already on the water.
Sam tried to move but he was holding her legs tightly. She started trashing against him beating him in his back.
- You're asshole!!! I'm gonna murder you!
- Ouch. - he gasped when she punched him hard on the ribs.
- Fuck Blake. - she said with a normal voice when they were far enough. - you know I don't like to be seeing in a bikini.
- Come on, S. You look hot in this. Let's give your man a look.
He turned around walking backwards so her ass was exposed to the other side. Sam screamed again, and tried to kick his belly. But the way he was holding her, made her helpless.
Watching the scene back at the chairs, Justin was amused and rolled his eyes. He noticed Abe with a strange grin on his face, staring at them from afar.
- I know what it looks like. - Just said. Abe looked in his direction. - The first time Blake took me to hang out with them, I was so pissed I wanted to break up with him right away. So, I know what it looks like, but trust me, they're just like bratty siblings.
Sam's scream was interrupted by a slash sound. And Abe looked as she emerged and started fighting with him.
- He said that to me. They have a friendly connection but nothing romantic. He just like to vex her and Sam is so uptight that his nagging makes her loose a notch, you know. She also brings him back to Earth when he needs it, which is often. As I started hang around them more, I could see it.
Abe nodded unsure.
- Don't brood over it, man. - Justin advised putting a hand to his shoulder.
"Devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes
What doesn't kill me makes me want you more"
