It had been three days since Danny had left with Lilandra. Ever since, the X-Men have been constantly worried about their friends condition. After he had left, they were met with Nick Fury of SHIELD, who wanted to know the whole story.

When he was told of it, Nick seemed to only be concerned about Dan as he interrogated them about what had happened to him.

"You sure he's gone for good?" Fury asked them as they finished the story.

"I don't know." Xavier said. "He always seems to turn up. Even when we think he's gone."

"Well, let's hope this time he's gone for good." Fury said as he left.

"What if he isn't gone for good, Professor?" Rogue asked. "I feel that it was way too easy this time. He couldn't have gone down like that. He has to still be out there somewhere."

"Maybe he is, Rogue." Xavier replied. "But I pray that if he is, he doesn't show up until we have Danny back."

"Yeah, with Casper out of the picture, he could do some real damage." Wolverine added.

"Like he hasn't already?" Gambit said, remembering the cities that Dan attacked.

The X-Men spent the next couple of weeks repairing their home. Rogue and Dani would spend almost all their time with each other. With Danny gone, they were both worried about losing the other as well.

Rogue would have trouble sleeping in her room without her husband to cuddle with.

Jubilee spent most of her time with Steve and Martha as she filled them in on the true story of Danny and Dan and Danny's current condition. The couple was hoping that their son would come back.

Storm was in her garden, checking on her plants.

Beast buried himself in the lab.

Wolverine spent most of his time in bars, drinking or playing pool.

Gambit would spend his nights out on the town trying to distract himself from his friend's absence.

Most of the time, Scott and Jean would stay in their room.

Morph was still going through a bit more treatment at Muir Island, but he wished Danny would be okay.

Xavier would just watch as all his students tried to deal with the recent events in their own ways. It had been hard for him too. He may not have had Danny with him as long as the others, but he trusted him with his life. And now he could only hope Lilandra could bring him back.

Lilandra was looking over Danny as her medics were running tests on him.

"He'll be all right, your majesty." One of them said. "We can devise a cure that should reverse the effects."

"Then make it as quick as possible." Lilandra ordered as she looked at the unconscious hybrid. "I have a feeling that Earth will need him soon."

Dan rolled his eyes as he read the sign in front of him.

Amity Park: A Nice Place to Live

Ever since Danny had left, Dan had been lying low. He couldn't destroy too much of the world. He needed them to turn on Danny and push him into the abyss. To relieve his boredom, he would go to the Ghost Zone and cause some mayhem there.

He was about to attack the Observants' headquarters when he overheard something that changed everything for him.

"How will we deal with Dan Phantom? Not even Clockwork can stop that monster since he exists outside of time." One Observant said.

Dan was so distracted by that information that he didn't even bother to destroy them. He just left the lair before they spotted him as he tried to ponder this new development.

He existed outside of time. This produced several things for him. The first was rage that he had wasted so much time trying to corrupt Danny only to find out that it was never needed.

The second was sadistic joy. He existed outside of time. That means neither Clockwork nor the Observants could stop him. He wouldn't have to hold back against Danny. He could destroy him, and Dan would still exist.

He was truly unstoppable now.

And now that he had no need for Danny, Dan decided that it was time to leave Earth. He was already getting tired of destroying it. He got his fill in his timeline; now doing it again was losing its appeal. He would simply destroy the planet before turning his sights on the universe before him.

But then Dan got an idea, as he thought that he could squeeze a bit more fun out of this planet before totaling it.

"Greetings, my new star!"

Dan turned around to see Mojo walking towards him with Domo and Spiral by his side; the two were keeping their distance from Dan, fear in their eyes.

"Who are you, and why shouldn't I blast you to oblivion?" Dan threatened.

Instead of being intimidated, Mojo was excited as he gasped in happiness.

"Oh, such attitude. The audience will love you." Mojo was about to say more when Dan grabbed him by the throat.

"Get to the point before you're nothing but a pile of green goo." Dan ordered.

Mojo then got serious as he realized that he was wasting Dan's time.

"Sorry." Mojo apologized before getting excited again. "I am Mojo. I run the greatest television network in my own reality. I am here to offer you the mother of all deals." Mojo pulled out a contract and held it up before Dan. "I've seen what you've done, kid. It's good. Real good. People will pay good money to watch what you do. You're a loose canon. People love that. They will tune in just to watch you. You can be a star. I can give you fame and money. A cut of the profits and merchandise deals. I can make you a household name if you sign right here."

Dan just stared at the contract as Domo and Spiral feared what he would do.

After what seemed like an eternity, Dan gave his answer.

"I'm not working for you; you're working for me. In exchange, I can promise you this. I can give you a show. A great show that will have everyone on their seats. And you won't have to pay me a damn thing."

"Really!" Mojo cried out in joy, happy that he wouldn't have to pay Dan at all.

"I just need you to give me something, and I will give you the chance to record a major event in history.

Mojo was salivating at the idea. "What is it? Name it! I'll give you anything!"

Dan smirked. "I need an arena. Not just any kind, though, but one that will host a glorious battle. A battle that determines the fate of a world. And I want a portal to that arena located there." He pointed to Amity Park.

"Done!' Mojo agreed. "You stick with me, Danny, and you'll be going places."

Dan took exception to being called Danny. He grabbed Mojo by the throat again.

"Don't ever call me that, you disgusting, hideous creature." He let go of Mojo. "Have the arena and the portal ready in one month." He then vanished.

"Why that..." Mojo said in rage before it turned to happiness. "That card. Oh, he's got edge. That's why he's so beloved. If only I could get more of that. I bet he'll be a bigger hit than that stupid, loathsome Longshot will ever be."

He turned to Spiral and Domo. "Well, what are you waiting for? Galactic Peace? We got an arena to build, people. Come on, let's go! Pronto! Now! Move it!"

Dan watched them leave. Normally, he would kill them, but he felt that they could make this fight more interesting. Besides, he could kill them when it was all over.

The X-Men were all gathered in the living room. They made it a point to watch the news to see how the public has been dealing with the recent events.

They were watching the news as James Jonah Jameson was reporting.

"It has been four weeks since the sudden disappearances of Dan Phantom and Danny Phantom. Government officials have spoken out, stating that they believed Dan Phantom to have been killed by the Guys in White. Danny Phantom's whereabouts are yet to be determined. If you ask me, good riddance. Those freaks were nothing but trouble."

The X-Men were glaring at Jonah for his remarks. It seemed he found another target to go after other than Spider-Man.

"I hope he drops dead." Rogue said.

Jonah continued to rant. "We don't need ghosts like that causing more destruction. Why, if either of those two phantoms were here, I'd give them a piece of my mind."

"Can someone please shut him up?" Jubilee requested.

This was answered, as before Jonah could utter another word, Dan appeared behind him and placed his hands on either side of Jonah's head as he looked at the cameras, which he kept rolling with his powers.

"If any of you at home are a bit squeamish, then I suggest you cover your eyes." Dan recommended as he crushed Jonah's head like a tomato, making blood splash everywhere.

Jubilee and Dani threw up at this brutal scene as the X-Men watched in horror.

"My god." Scott whispered.

Dan smirked at the camera as he was the only one in the room, with everyone leaving. "Thought I was gone, did you? Well, let me let you in on a little secret. I am forever. Too bad you're not." Dan blasted an ecto-blast into the air, where it sped on past the atmosphere and into the empty void of space, where it stayed stationary as it grew in size as Dan fed it more power.

Everyone in the world was panicking as the blast started to fall to Earth.

"He's gonna destroy us all!" Xavier shouted.

Then, to everyone's relief, the blast disappeared before it could cause any damage.

"Got you." Dan teased as he laughed. "But I'm still killing you all; I just want one last bit of fun before I move on to the bigger world. People of Earth, I offer you a chance to defeat me and save your world from destruction."

At this point, everyone was listening as Dan challenged anyone to fight him.

"From heroes to villains, everyone is welcome to try and stop me. If you are interested, come to the center of Amity Park." Dan smirked as he mentioned the location. "It's located in the state of Illinois. Be there in one month's time. Until then, I suggest you train as hard as you can, settle your affairs, and hold on to your loved ones. Because in one month, it's all going to end."

He then turned invisible, leaving the bloodied room empty.

The X-Men sat in their seats, petrified.

One month.

One month was all they had to get ready to fight Dan before he would blow them all to smithereens.

"You think Danny will be back before then?" Jubilee asked, hoping that Danny would return and help them against Dan.

"I don't know, Jubilee, but we can't just do nothing and hope that Danny will save us." Cyclops said. He gave his entire team an honest look as he broke the situation down for them.

"This may seem hopeless, but we've got to try and stop Dan. I know he's powerful, but there's nothing else we can do. We'll have to use this time to train as hard as we've ever had, equip ourselves with any anti-ghost weapons, and hope that we may stand a chance."

"You think we have a chance, Cyke?" Wolverine asked. There was no challenge or anger in his tone as he spoke to Cyclops. Just a calm exterior.

"I honestly don't know, Logan." Cyclops confessed. "But we can't just wait for a miracle to happen. We might have a shot. We've trained with Danny, fought beside him, and gone on missions with him. And through that, we know a great deal about his abilities and limits, which might give us the edge against Dan because we'll know what to expect. We may die, but if Danny were here, he would be saying the same thing. We're X-Men. And the X-Men don't allow injustice to happen. We're going to stop Dan Phantom once and for all. So who's with me?"

Rogue shot up from her seat. "I'm with you, Scott. I'm not letting that monster destroy my home, my future, or my daughter."

"Me neither." Jubilee agreed. "He's gonna pay for what he's done to my brother."

Cyclops nodded at the two before turning to the others. "Anyone else?"

"I'll always be with you, Scott." Jean said as she came to his side and kissed him.

Storm gave her own confirmation. "Dan must be stopped before he can hurt any more innocent people."

"I'm in as well." Morph added as he turned into Bill Murray. "Let's go bust that ghost."

"I believe that with Vlad's help, I can develop equipment capable of giving us the advantage in battle." Beast said.

Next was Gambit, who smiled and shrugged. "Eh, Remy suppose we may be lucky enough to get out of this one."

They all gave their attention to the one X-Man who hadn't spoken. That one was Wolverine.

After a few seconds, he smirked. "Let's kick his ass all the way back to the Ghost Zone."

They all cheered, with Dani joining in.

"Yeah, let's go!" She cried.

"You're not going." Rogue said with a no-argument tone.

'But..." Rogue cut her off.

"I said you're not going, and that's final, young lady." Rogue said as her maternal instincts surged. "You're going to be staying at Vlad's place with the Morlocks."

"I want to fight!" Dani protested.

"I'm not gonna risk losing you." Rogue argued before her voice softened. "Dani, I love you, and I don't want any chance of that monster hurting you. So please do what I say."

"Fine." Dani grumbled, knowing that she wouldn't be able to change her mother's mind.

The month flew by as all the X-Men put their time and energy into getting ready for the big battle. All day, they would train until heading to bed when the night came. Xavier would use the Danger Room to create any situation that Dan would throw at them. At first they were all overwhelmed, but over time they persisted to the point where they were able to beat the Danger Room's maximum level without any problem.

Vlad showed up and helped Beast with most of the equipment. The elder hybrid also helped in the Danger Room exercises as he sparred with the X-Men to practice for their inevitable confrontation with Dan. He taught them every move that Daniel had, along with his own.

Next was getting familiar with the equipment. They practiced aiming the ecto-blasters and the Fenton Wrist Rays, along with using the Fenton Thermos.

All the X-Men had the standard wrist rays, ecto-grenades, specter deflectors, and a thermos. With some members having something extra.

Cyclops had his visor altered further, giving it the function of spotting ghosts that were invisible.

Wolverine had a pair of ghost gauntlets modified so that his claws could extend through them.

Gambit had replaced his staff with a new one that glowed with ecto-energy.

Jean, due to her own power being useless against Dan, sported the Fenton Peeler armor.

Storm was in a suit that Vlad had stolen from the Guys in White. He only had the resources to build one. But this suit gave Storm the power of invisibility and intangibility.

Jubilee was sporting a red jumpsuit with an ecto-blaster that had a cord connecting it to a backpack device she carried. There was even a J on her chest for Jubilee that Vlad added.

"I like this." Jubilee said. "Where did you get this?'

"Oh, it's from an old idea I once considered." Vlad told her. "I don't remember the specifics, but I was gonna use that tech to form my own group of ghost hunters called Masters' Blasters. Never got to use it though."

Beast wielded a Fenton Bazooka.

Morph had the Nine Tails along with the Booo-merang.

Xavier was given the Ecto-Skeleton, which Vlad perfected, preventing the user's energy from being drained. He also modified it so that Xavier wouldn't need to move his legs to move the bottom half, as it was connected to Xavier's mind with a neural interface.

Finally, Rogue sported a jumpsuit that Vlad helped her design based on the one that Maddie wore. Rogue had it in the same colors as her husband's, with the Danny Phantom logo on it.

The group was currently in a Danger Room simulation fighting Vlad.

"He's there!" Scott pointed to a corner where they fired, making Vlad drop his intangibility.

Vlad summoned three duplicates, with one being ripped to shreds by Wolverine. Another was blasted by Beast with the Fenton Bazooka. The final was electrocuted by Morph using the Wraith Wrangler.

Now alone without copies, Vlad unleashed ghost rays from his hands at the group, with Storm grabbing them and turning them intangible. Xavier fired ecto-blasts from his suit as he and Vlad were in a beam lock.

Distracted, Vlad was left open to an attack from Gambit, who hit him with his staff, knocking him onto his back, where Jubilee and Jean fired at him, allowing Rogue to capture him in the Fenton Thermos.

"We did it!" Jubilee cheered as Rogue let Vlad out.

"You are ready." Vlad said. "I taught you everything I know and provided you with all my equipment. But even I can't truly know what Dan is capable of. I wish you the best of luck, but then again, I'll be entering the tournament as well, so maybe together we might just beat him."

"Vlad's right." Xavier told his students. "We must not be too overconfident. Caution is the best option when we face him."

"I can't wait to rip him to shreds for everything he's done to Casper." Wolverine said.

As they all went to bed, Rogue looked out of her window at the stars above where her husband was.

"We'll win this one for you, Spooky." Rogue said before she went to bed.

It was morning, and the X-Men were all having breakfast.

"Thanks for the pancakes, Jean." Jubilee thanked her friend.

"It's good for what might be our last meal." Wolverine said.

"It won't be." Scott declared. "Because we're gonna stop him. We stopped the Sentinels, Magneto, Sinister, and Apocalypse. We've prevented several ruined futures, journeyed across space, battled several species of aliens, saved the galaxy, fought several other ghosts, and prevented the erasing of time itself. We can beat Dan Phantom."

"You've all grown since you stepped through these doors." Xavier said. "I believe that you can save the world, my X-Men."

Vlad looked at his ghost portal as he prepared to meet up with the X-Men. He could hear footsteps behind him.

"Good luck." Callisto said as she wrapped her arms around him. "You've been a great help to all of us. Me especially. Promise you'll come back."

Vlad phased out of her grip before planting a kiss on her lips.

"I promise. Watch over Dani for me. I'll be back soon."

With his piece said, he entered the portal and traveled through the Ghost Zone until he found the portal that led to Beast's lab, where the X-Men were waiting.

"Alright then." Vlad said as he gestured to the portal. "Follow me. I'll lead you to Amity Park."

"Actually, we have a better way to get there." Scott said.

"Why is riding on this plane better?" Vlad asked as they were all on the Blackbird heading to Amity Park.

"We want one last ride in the Blackbird." Jubilee said. "Though, I wonder why Dan decided to host his tournament there."

"Perhaps he's being poetic." Beast suggested. "His story started there, and now it's going to end there. Well, his story on Earth at least."

Jubilee then realized something as she giggled. "I know that I shouldn't be joking about something like this, but I realized that despite how scary and powerful Dan is, he's still a high school dropout."

"Guess you don't need a diploma to exterminate all life on Earth?" Rogue said.

Vlad sighed. "I remember when I wished Daniel was more like me, willing to use his powers to get what he wants, not caring for heroics. I guess it's true what they say: Be careful what you wish for. When we first met, I offered him everything. Knowledge about his abilities, my wealth, and having the world at his finger tips. And all he had to do was accept me as his new father. But he refused."

"Well, you were gonna kill his father; what did you expect?" Rogue asked.

"I thought he would want him gone. I knew of Jack's hatred for ghosts. It ran in his family. Daniel must have always been terrified of his parents finding out. I thought he would be happy to have a father that accepted him." Vlad reasoned.

Rogue looked down at her wedding ring in admiration. "He's too pure for this world."

"We're here." Scott said as they landed outside of Amity Park.

"Time to face the music." Jubilee said as they got off the Blackbird. As they reached the town, they found that the streets were crowded with all the other challengers who wanted a crack at Dan.

The townspeople of Amity Park were surrounding the heroes and villains, while reporters were pushing each other out of the way as they tried to cover the main event.

One reporter noticed the X-Men coming toward them and made a beeline for them, with his cameraman following him.

"Lance Thunder is here with the X-Men as they come to fight Dan Phantom in his challenge against the Earth." He put the microphone in front of Wolverine. "How are you feeling today?"

Wolverine threatened Lance with his claws. "Bub, get that camera out of my face, or you'll find your replacement covering the story of your body being found in a dumpster."

Lance and the cameraman immediately got away from them.

"Really, Wolverine?" Cyclops asked with exasperation.

They made their way down to the crowd as they looked at all the other challengers.

"Whoa!" Jubilee said in awe. There were several heroes and villains standing around, creating a tense atmosphere. "Holy shit, it's the Fantastic Four!"

It was indeed, as they were watching Reed work on a device that looked like a futuristic gun.

"I believe that this should counter whatever energy that he is made of." Reed muttered.

"You sure this will work, Reed?" Susan asked.

"If not, then we can smash the ghost into green goo." The Thing declared.

"Or burn him to a crisp." Johnny added.

"There's also the Avengers." Gambit pointed out the heroes, which consisted of Ant-Man, Wasp, Hawkeye, Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, Tigra, Falcon, Thor, Captain America, and Vision.

Wolverine was about to go up and greet Cap when he remembered that the Cap he met back in his time was Danny in disguise.

"Along with Iron Man and his team." Cyclops said.

Iron Man stood with his team known as Force Works, which had War Machine, Spider-Woman, Century, and H.O.M.E.R.

Bruce Banner and She-Hulk were also in attendance.

Other heroes that were in the crowd were Punisher, Blade, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Psylocke, Captain Britain, and Ghost Rider.

There were several notorious villains as well, like Abomination, M.O.D.O.K., Red Skull, Doctor Doom, and Grim Reaper.

"Remember, we can't let the world be destroyed." Doctor Octopus told his Insidious Six, which was comprised of himself, Vulture, Rhino, Scorpion, Shocker, and Chameleon. "On the count that we live on it."

"I wonder where Spider-Man is." Shocker said as he looked around for any trace of the webslinger.

"Oh man! Wow!" Stan Lee exclaimed in excitement as he and Spider-Man swung through the city. "You know, Spidey, I've always wanted to experience real web-slinging."

"And I've always wanted to be appreciated as a real hero." Spider-Man replied. "It seems you made me into one. Thanks."

"Hey, don't mention it." Stan Lee told him.

Alistair Smythe was making last-minute adjustments to his Spider-Slayers, which he had modified and renamed Phantom-Slayers.

"Who's that guy?" Wolverine pointed to the Silver Surfer.

"No clue." Rogue replied.

"Well, well, if it isn't my pipsqueak brother." Juggernaut said as he pushed past the crowd and got into Xavier's face.

"Ah, great." Rogue complained. "He's here."

"I have no desire to fight you, Cain." Xavier said calmly.

Juggernaut just chuckled. "You think that little toy of yours can stop that ghost? Watch and learn; I'll beat him down with my bare fists alone. But I hope he cripples the rest of your body." Cain then left, making the X-Men sigh in relief that he wasn't here to fight them.

This conversation got everyone's attention as the heroes confronted the X-Men.

"So you guys are finally here." The Thing said. "How's your ghostly friend doing? After all, it's his fault we're in this mess." He then noticed Vlad was with them. "Did you replace him with Dracula over there?"

"Back off!" Wolverine snarled as the two glared daggers at each other. "Casper had nothing to do with this."

"That's not what that guy said." Johnny pointed to the crowd of people looking in awe at all these heroes together. The one that Johnny pointed out in particular was a drunken Jeremy Manson.

"He took everything from me! He took my daughter! I hope he burns in hell!" Jeremy roared.

"He's the reason we've been under attack by ghosts!" Another citizen roared as they all cried out insults toward Danny.

"He once robbed a jewelry store."

"The mayor was attacked by him."

"He's the reason the Fentons are dead."

Rogue was clenching her fists as she had to be held back by Storm from attacking the crowd.

"That's a lie!" They all saw Valerie fly in on her hoverboard as she landed.

"Her again." Wolverine said.

"I went to high school with him, and he was the nicest boy I've ever met." Valerie said. "I've been wrong about a lot of things, but I know this. Danny Phantom is a hero."

"I hate to be that guy, but there are reports of him doing criminal acts." Iron Man showed a hologram of Danny attacking the mayor.

"All ghosts are evil!" One citizen screamed.

"No!" Everyone turned to see Wulf walk forward, still wearing the translator bracelet. "Not all ghosts are evil. Some just want to be left alone. And my friend didn't attack that mayor. Look closely. You can see the mayor holding him hostage. He was possessed by another ghost."

"What about the robberies?" War Machine asked.

"He was controlled by an evil clown." Jubilee answered.

"I hate clowns." Black Panther said.

"It's true, I was that clown."

Everyone turned to see Freakshow, who was now a ghost. He sported four arms, three eyes, and another face on his chest. "I controlled him until he broke free. And then that other phantom killed me when he destroyed the GIW base I was locked up in. And now I'm here for revenge."

"Unlike you, we are more interested in what he can gain for us." Emma stated as she arrived with the other members of the Inner Circle.

"You're a fool if you think you can control him." Cyclops said.

"Oh please." Emma said dismissively. "He is nothing but brute strength. I will defeat him with the power of my mind. And maybe keep him as a lover. He is rather hot."

This made everyone stare at her.

"What? He is." Emma insisted.

"You have some problems." Tigra said. "Though I did think the other phantom was pretty cute."

"He's married!" Rogue glared at the cat-themed hero, who, for some reason, sounded just like her.

"Too bad." Scarlet Witch. "I remember seeing him during my fight with High Evolutionary. He was really good-looking."

"Hey!" Rogue cried.

"Enough of this! Doom will destroy him and take his secrets." Doom declared.

"Don't underestimate him." Forge said as he came in with the rest of X-Factor. "In our first encounter with Danny Phantom, he mopped the floor with us. This Dan Phantom will truly be a challenge."

"Indeed, he will be a strong opponent." Fright Knight said as he appeared.

"You!" Wolverine snarled as he charged at Fright Knight, who backslapped him into Sasquatch.

Wolverine got up and glared when he saw Alpha Flight again.

"What did I tell you would happen if I saw you again?" Wolverine asked them.

"Please, Wolverine, hear us out." Vindicator pleaded. "We're just here to fight Dan. We don't want any trouble."

"Fine." Wolverine relented. "I'll let Dan take care of you."

He went back to Fright Knight, who held his hands out.

"Peace." He said. "I've come not to harm any of you. I've seen the error of my ways. And now I will fight injustice instead of spreading it. I'm here only to fight the evil phantom."

Wolverine growled, but decided to save his energy for Dan.

"Charles, I can see that you're walking again." A familiar voice behind him said.

Xavier turned around to be greeted by a smirking Amelia.

"Amelia! You're here!" He exclaimed

"Yeah, I decided that I didn't want Dan to blow up the planet, and I called up some old friends." Amelia gestured to her Acolytes, which were made up of Marco Delgado, Chrome, Carmela Unuscione, Johanna Cargill, and Burner."

"Hey, Byron. Long time, no see." Gambit greeted his old friend, only to notice his eyes were glowing.

"What the?" Gambit then watched as Proteus left Byron's body.

"Kevin! What are you doing here?" Banshee demanded, who also arrived to fight Dan.

"It's my fault he's back." Kevin moaned. "And because of me, Danny is hurt."

"Kevin." Xavier comforted. "Dan's return has nothing to do with you. It isn't anybody's fault. But you can't fight him. He is too strong. Even for you."

"No! I won't leave!" Kevin protested. "He hurt Danny, and he has to pay."

Banshee sighed. "Moira's gonna kill me."

Storm was then greeted by Mjnari.

"Hello, Storm." He said.

"Mjnari, what are you doing here?"

"I've come to stop that evil spirit from destroying our home." Mjnari answered.

"No!" Storm cried. "You can't face him!"

"I must." Mjnari replied. "You taught me my powers are for the benefit of others. And now I must help save everyone from Dan."

Storm hugged her surrogate son as she saw how much he had grown since the last time they met.

"It's good to see you again, Jubilee."

Jubilee turned around and was greeted by Colossus, who smiled at her.

"Colossus, you're here too?" Jubilee asked.

"You and Danny helped free my country; now I will help you save the world from that imposter." Colossus told her.

Wolverine sniffed a familiar scent and followed until he met Maverick.

"Maverick." He smiled. "Good to see ya." He then saw Fox next to him. "Hey, Fox." He said in a saddened voice.

"Logan." Silver Fox replied.

"We meet again."

Logan turned around and was faced with Yuriko.

"Yuriko." Logan gasped before looking between the two women and making the wisest decision. "I'm gonna go somewhere else." He then rejoined his team.

"Mein sister." Kurt said as he appeared in front of Rogue.

"Kurt!" Rogue smiled and hugged her brother.

"How is Danny?" Kurt asked.

Rogue's smile left her face. "He's on a different planet, still being treated."

Kurt put a hand on her shoulder. "He will pull through. He is strong."

"Hello, Rogue, Kurt." The siblings saw that Mystique had joined them.

"Mother." Kurt said awkwardly, as he didn't know how to feel about Mystique right now.

"What do you want?" Rogue growled.

"I came to put a stop to that monster." Mystique said. "I always knew he was dangerous."

"Why you..." Rogue was about to attack when Kurt got in front of her.

"No, Rogue!" Kurt pleaded. "She's not worth it." He steered her away from Mystique, who stood with Pyro, Avalanche, and Blob.

"I see you're joining the fight this time, Charles." Magneto said as he went up to his old friend.

"Magnus." Xavier greeted coldly.

"I see you haven't forgiven me for what I did to your student." Magneto observed.

"It's because of you that Danny is gone, and we're at the mercy of Dan Phantom." Xavier said angrily.

"I never meant for any of this to happen. I just wanted the mutant race to survive at the top of the food chain." Magneto explained.

Xavier shook his head. "Mutants were never the ones at the top. That honor goes to ghosts, and now you have condemned us to the wrath of the worst one of all." He walked away from his old friend.

Magneto looked on with regret before noticing Sabretooth running away. He sighed as he used his powers to wrap a lampost around him and bring him back.

"No!" Sabretooth screamed. "I won't do it! You can't make me!"

"I can and I will." Magneto stated.

Wolverine watched Sabretooth's fear with a feral grin. "Well, that brightened up my day."

Meanwhile, Scott and Jean had run into Warren and Bobby.

"Hey, guys." Bobby greeted. "You here as well to take down Dan?"

"Yes." Scott said.

"Well, good luck; he's gonna be a tough glacier to crack." Bobby said.

"If he can destroy Apocalypse, who knows what he can do to us?" Warren added.

Rogue and Kurt were talking when Sam Guthrie came up to them.

"Howdy, Mrs. Fenton." He greeted. "How's Danny doing? Is he okay?"

"I hope he will be." Rogue said. "You're here to fight Dan too?"

"Yes, ma'am. I can't let my home be destroyed by that maniac." Sam replied. "Danny taught me that you can't sit back when the world is in danger.

Rogue smiled. Danny truly did have an effect on people.

While everyone else was talking, Beast met up with a familiar face.

"Beast!" Carly called as she and her father walked toward him.

"Carly!" He hugged her. "What are you doing here?"

"I had my father bring me here. I thought you would show up. I wanted to wish you good luck." Carly said.

"Give him hell." Carly's father said to Beast as he offered the mutant his hand.

Beast smiled as he accepted it.

"Remy!" Bella Donna cried as she looked for her love. "Where are you? I still love you!"

Gambit panicked, avoided her sight, and hid behind Xavier's Ecto-Skeleton.

Morph was standing when he saw a girl from the crowd call out to him. He saw that she wore a shirt with the Danny Phantom logo on it.

"How can I help you?" He asked politely.

"Do you work with Danny Phantom?" She asked.

"I do." Morph confirmed. "You live in this town?"

She shook her head. "No, I live in Deerfield. I came here because I wanted to see Danny Phantom. Is he here?"

Morph looked down. "He's sick."

"Oh." She said disappointedly before she got an idea that brought her smile back. "You think that when he gets better, you can get me his autograph?"

"Sure." Morph agreed. "What's your name?"

"Kitty Pryde." She answered.

The heroes continued talking with each other, while the villains merely stayed silent.

Soon a portal opened up, and out stepped Spiral, Gog, and the Warwolves.

"Oh, great, now we've got to deal with Mojo as well." Scott said. "Wonder why he's here?"

"Something to do with a new show." Longshot said.

"Longshot, you're here too?" Jubilee asked as she blushed.

Longshot nodded. "I heard from my spies that Mojo was planning something big on Earth, but what that is, I don't know."

On Earth, every television set was hijacked by Mojo's signal as he appeared on all of their screens.

"Hello, people of Earth!" Mojo greeted. "I'm here to bring you the first coverage of the tournament that will determine the fate of your pathetic world! We have heroes and villains from all over the planet willing to challenge the newcomer. The unbeatable, undeterred, merciless, cruel, vicious, sadistic, and bloodthirsty Dan Phantom!"

The screen showed a picture of Dan before turning back to Mojo. "Now here we are in Amity Park, where it all will begin."

It showed footage of the heroes and villains at Amity Park as cameramen on hovercrafts floated in the sky to get the footage.

"Here the challengers eagerly await to get into the ring! Now they must go through the registering!" As he said this, Mojo stopped as he looked off camera. "You told me they were all signed up and ready to go! What do you mean it wasn't you? You're the only person here with three eyes! Someone's getting fired for this!" Mojo then realized the camera was still rolling. "Uh. We'll be back after the break! Quick! Someone go to commercial!"

Spiral sat behind a desk. "Everyone, line up in a single-file line. Just give us your name and whether you're going alone or in a team!"

They all got in line as Spiral rolled her eyes at the person in front.

"After that incident with Mojo's last show, he's vowed to never work with you again." She turned to Gog. "Take him away."

"No, this is bullshit!" Deadpool protested as he was dragged away. "You can't do this to me!" He saw Logan. "Logan, back me up here!"

The X-Men gave Wolverine questioning looks, but Logan avoided eye contact.

When it was the X-Men's turn, Spiral didn't look up as she was filing a form. "Dan told me you would show up."

"You and Mojo are working with Dan?" Rogue asked in disbelief.

Spiral nodded. "Mojo thinks Dan's what he needs to up the ratings. He decided to make an arena for this whole thing and televise it to the whole universe."

"And Dan just agreed?" Jubilee said doubtfully.

Mojo's employee shrugged. "I don't know what goes on in that ghost's head. Mojo thinks Dan will cooperate with him, but I know that monster will kill Mojo as soon as this is all over. Whatever you have planned to take him out, make sure it works."

"We will." Cyclops said.

"You're going last." Spiral said. "Dan's orders."

Mojo was drinking some weird concoction when he noticed the camera was rolling. He spat out his drink as he tried to make him look professional.

"Alright, the registration is over! The fighting is ready to begin!" Mojo announced as it cut to footage of the heroes and villains gathered at Amity Park.

The heroes and villains watched as a portal formed, and above that portal was a screen that showed an arena that resembled a colosseum but was more alien-looking, with thousands of different species of extraterrestrials in the seats as they waited with anticipation for the battle to begin.

In the center, a burst of green energy shot down and faded away, leaving Dan Phantom kneeling on the ground. He got up to his feet as the camera zoomed in on his glare, and all the heroes and villains felt fear staring into his eyes.

Except for Juggernaut. "He doesn't look so tough."

"Fighters, the first match is ready to begin." Spiral announced. "All powers and weapons are allowed. Prepare yourselves, for this is a foe you have never faced before, and he may be your last. I ask you, are you ready to face the horror known as Dan Phantom?"

She stepped out of the way for the first team to enter the portal.
