Chapter Nine
The sun was still high in the sky when Blake and Weiss left the shop together, Blake pausing while Weiss turned to lock the door behind her. The sun shone brightly, coaxing Blake's face up toward the heat, eyes closed and ears standing tall as she focused on the feeling of warm sun on her skin.
"What's your plan for the evening?" Blake asked, enjoying the feeling of a faint breeze rustling through her ear fur. Twisting her right ear toward the sound of a deadbolt latching, she caught a soft hum from Weiss.
"I'm not entirely certain yet. I was supposed to go see Ruby, and work on a few things. Would you like to accompany me?"
Blake considered it for half a moment. She wanted to hang out with Weiss, but wasn't excited about the prospect of high-energy Ruby overwhelming her. Knowing that the alternative was seeing Yang, her decision was made quite easily, albeit reluctantly.
"I would like to, but Yang invited us over. If you're going to hang with Ruby, that's fine, " Blake lowered her face from the sun and opened her eyes as Weiss fell into step beside her, "But I'll probably pass on seeing Ruby tonight and go see Yang instead."
Weiss hummed quietly, gently bumping her shoulder against Blake's.
"Well... okay." Weiss' tone was guarded, and Blake's ears twitched at the abrupt change.
"Everything alright?" Blake asked, reaching into her pocket for her car keys.
Weiss said nothing at first, and when Blake glanced at her, she could see the muscles in Weiss' jaw working, clenching and unclenching.
"Weiss?"
Weiss glanced up at the taller girl, an unreadable expression on her face.
"Are you coming home tonight?"
Blake paused as she reached her car, realizing that Weiss had walked right by her own, following her.
"Like, am I going to my own house tonight?" Blake asked, confused. "Or are you asking if I'm going to be coming back to your place tonight?"
Weiss rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. "Blake, at this point, my home is your home. I'm just asking if I should expect you around tonight, or if you're staying out. With Yang."
Blake tilted her head slightly, considering the question.
"I'll definitely be coming home tonight, yeah. I'm only going to hang out with Yang for a few hours."
The answer seemed to placate Weiss somewhat, and she nodded, uncrossing her arms and letting them fall to her sides.
"Okay. What do you want for supper? My treat." Weiss paused, as she seemed to consider something, then she shifted her weight from one leg to the other. "Unless you plan on eating with Yang...?"
Blake shrugged. "I'm not sure. I'll text you?"
Icy blue eyes flitted back and forth between befuddled gold for a moment, before Weiss nodded once, a sharp, tense jerk of her head. "Okay. Let me know when you know, please."
Blake returned the nod, a bit slower and more relaxed now, pleased to see some of the tension leave Weiss' shoulders. "Of course."
Weiss turned to step away, back toward her own car, but paused. Turning back, she reached out and placed a hand of Blake's forearm.
"See you later, Blake. Text me." With those short plain words and cryptic tone, Weiss turned away, letting go of Blake and stepping back toward her car. Her silvery ponytail flicked back and forth as she walked, the sunlight catching it and causing it to shine brilliantly.
Blake couldn't bring herself to tear her eyes away as Weiss slipped effortlessly into her car. A moment later and it purred to life. Throwing a wave at Blake, Weiss took off, immediately pushing her car hard as she careened out of the parking lot. Her cold tires struggled to find traction on the gravelly asphalt, and they chirped in protest. The sound of the tortured tires was nearly drowned out by the sound of the motor, however, as Weiss hammered on the throttle, the exhaust note growing from a low growl to a full scream.
Weiss didn't touch the brakes until she reached the exit to the street, and even then she only briefly touched them enough to keep the front lip of her car from bottoming out on the transition, then she was back on the gas, motor screaming as she pulled away. Within seconds she was out of sight, but not out of sound, Blake's sharp ears picking up the rapidly fading sound of the automatic transmission snapping through the gears. When the sound faded to background noise, Blake snapped out of her daze, shaking her head lightly.
"Weird." Blake muttered. Unlocking her own car, she slipped behind the wheel. She jammed her keys into the ignition and cranked her car to life, immediately adjusting the climate control as cold as it would go.
While her car warmed up, Blake sighed heavily in exhaustion and tilted her head back against her headrest. Closing her eyes for a moment, she let her mind wander.
Weiss didn't know why she was so annoyed; or at least, she didn't know what annoyed her more. Blake going to hang out with Yang, or Blake choosing Yang over the option of hanging out with Weiss.
Huffing an impatient sigh as the light in front of her finally turned green, she matted the accelerator. The torquey v8 motor pushed her back into her seat as she accelerated, and she gripped the wheel with both hands as icy blue eyes surveyed the road ahead for unsuspecting drivers and wayward pedestrians.
Seriously. It was like their final school years all over again, except this time Blake was finding new friends and opening up and leaving Weiss behind, instead of the other way around.
Weiss glanced in her side mirror quickly before changing into the left lane, cutting around a slower moving vehicle and swerving back into the right. Easing off the power, she engaged cruise control at twenty over, lifting her left leg up and jamming her knee against the steering wheel as she pulled her phone out. Glancing at the road ahead for a moment, her eyes quickly fell to her phone. Opening up her chat history with Blake, she quickly glanced at the road again, pushing her knee against the wheel to steer her car a bit straighter down the road as she bit her lip, eyes returning to her screen.
I wish you'd have come with me instead. She typed out, but, before she could send it, she thought better of it and erased it. Growling in frustration, she tossed her phone onto the passenger seat of her car and replaced her knee with her hand, eyes returning to the road.
So annoying.
It wasn't long before she made it home, a text from Ruby letting Weiss know that the girl had beaten her there.
Weiss called out Ruby's name as she pushed open her unlocked front door. The girl answered cheerfully, and Weiss felt her mood lifting a bit at the happy sound of the bubbly girl's voice. Unable to stay down in the presence of Ruby, Weiss felt her frown disappearing eyebrows relaxing slightly as Ruby rounded the corner, a small bag in her hand that she extended to Weiss.
"What's this?" Weiss asked, bending down to take off her shoes. Placing them neatly aside, she straightened as Ruby grinned at her.
"I don't know what kind of sweets you like, so I got you a few from work. I was hoping you'd try them and tell me what you think!" Ruby's big silver eyes regarded her happily.
Weiss paused at that, a hundred different thoughts flitting through her head. Most of them revolved around her lack of a sweet tooth, but she didn't want to disappoint Ruby so early.
"That's... very kind of you, Ruby, thank you." Weiss reached out to accept the bag, which was heavier than she'd anticipated. Holding it suspiciously, Weiss glanced down at it before lifting light blues to find shiny silver.
"How much is in here...?"
Ruby shrugged, then gestured back toward the living room.
"Not enough!" Ruby took a step toward the living room, indicating her desire to sit, then reached up to run a hand through her dark locks, brushing them back out of her face. "Besides," she added, "I got doubles of everything, so there's some for me in there as well."
Before Weiss could say anything in response, following Ruby to the living room, the girl paused, uncertainty clouding her face. "Unless you wanted all of it?"
Weiss outright laughed at that, setting the hefty bag down on the living room table.
"Oh, no thank you, I could never. But, I appreciate the thought!"
Ruby relaxed at that, flopping onto the couch and stretching her arms above her head. "Great! Because I got a few new ones I've wanted to try, and I think I'd die if you ate them before I got a chance to."
Weiss took a moment to observe the girl as she stretched out on the couch. Ruby had chosen a dark red, nearly maroon sleeveless shirt today, leaving her arms bare and the edges of her black bra showing. Despite being half-sisters, it seemed the Yang and Ruby were wholly in agreeance on sleeveless shirts, and Weiss couldn't find a reason to complain at all. A farmer's tan blended her bare white shoulders and upper arms into slightly tanned elbows, a slew of freckles along the top of her right shoulder adding a splash of detail to otherwise flawless white skin. Ruby was considerably less muscular than her older half sister, and it showed in the slender curve of her forearms and long delicate fingers. Tan capris ended just below Ruby's knees, baring her shins and calves to the light. Black ankle socks covered her feet, Weiss noted as she took a seat beside the girl, observing as Ruby immediately grabbed her computer and pulled it into her lap.
"Alright, Weiss," Ruby's voice snapped Weiss back to the present, and Weiss met Ruby's gaze. "What are we working on first?"
Weiss crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back, making herself comfortable as she considered what would be first on the agenda.
"There are a few changes we need to make to our homepage, and our online store is sorely lacking. We need to revamp our website and sort out our merch- or lack thereof."
Ruby nodded, fingers flying over the keyboard as she navigated to their homepage.
"I'll work on tweaking the page, if you want to look at sorting out our merch issues?" Ruby suggested.
Weiss pulled out her phone, humming her agreement.
"It's a bit of a two-fold issue, really. We don't have an established brand presence yet, and without one, there's no merch to move."
Ruby tapped a fingernail against her teeth, nodding slowly. "True." Silver eyes slid from her computer screen to the brown bag on the table, and Weiss caught the glance from the corner of her eye. Looking up from her phone, she smirked.
"Would a snack help you focus?" Weiss asked, hoping the teasing in her voice wouldn't be taken too seriously.
Ruby hesitated only a second before nodding. "It would, actually."
Weiss smiled at that, leaning forward and grabbing the bag. Setting it down on the couch between them, she gestured at it.
"You first, Ruby."
Ruby wasted no time, opening up the bag, then tilting it toward Weiss to show her the pile of sweets inside.
"I got us all kinds!" Ruby said excitedly, "I think I'm going to have a cake pop first!"
Reaching in, Ruby finagled two out, handing one to Weiss, who accepted it cautiously. Hers was covered in dark chocolate; Ruby's was white.
"Cheers!" Ruby bumped her cake pop against Weiss', then stuffed the entire thing into her mouth, humming in satisfaction.
A bit more hesitant, Weiss examined the flurry of sprinkles adorning her own, twirling it this way and that as she studied it. It certainly looked sugary...
Realizing Ruby was staring at her, probably expecting her to devour it whole as she'd done seconds ago, Weiss chose a slightly more dignified route. Taking a small bite out of the side, she took a moment to savour the sweet explosion of sugar in her mouth, the hard shell flaking and cracking beneath her teeth and the soft inside practically melting on her tongue.
"Mm." Weiss was surprised at how tasty it was; not overpoweringly sugary, as she'd been fearing.
"What do you think?" Ruby was beginning to eye up Weiss' half remaining cake pop like a dog begging for meat, and Weiss had to shake away the mental image of Ruby drooling like one.
Snickering at the mental image, Weiss took another bite before nodding in approval.
"I like it," She said after a moment, spinning the mostly-eaten treat around on the stick as she studied the fluffy interior. "It's better than I thought it would be."
Ruby seemed elated at the news, a wide grin splitting her face as she turned back to her screen.
"Great! Because there's more where that came from." Already reaching into the bag, Ruby withdrew a brownie, taking a bite of it as Weiss pushed herself up from the couch.
"Give me two seconds, I'll grab a plate for you."
When Ruby nodded her understanding-crumbs littered the girl's lap already- Weiss beelined for the kitchen, snatching a plate from the cupboard and returning to set it in Ruby's lap.
"Thanks, Weiss." Ruby mumbled around a mouthful of brownie, and Weiss smiled in response, picking up her phone and continuing her search. Silence reigned for a few moments, before Weiss huffed a mildly frustrated sigh, drawing Ruby's gaze and a questioning look. Glancing up at Ruby, Weiss gestured to her phone.
"We need a hook," She explained, but when Ruby's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, Weiss realized that she'd need to explain even further. "We need something to grab people, and draw them in."
Ruby waved a hand at her laptop. "Isn't that what I'm working on?"
Weiss shook her head. "Not really, no. The website is the goal; the hook has to get them there."
Ruby nodded slowly, the kind of slow nod that told Weiss that she didn't really get it, but that was okay.
"Well, I'm gonna keep doing what I know how to do," Ruby gestured at her laptop, "And you can hopefully find whatever it is that you're looking for."
Weiss hummed quietly to herself. "If only that thing would find me," she murmured. Against her will, thoughts of Blake flitted to the front of her mind, and she idly wondered how Blake was doing with Yang.
"So you finally caved!" Yang held both arms up, palms facing the sky, gesturing to Blake as if to say, 'Look at this! It's about time!'
Blake rolled her eyes theatrically, a grin lifting the corners of her mouth.
"Whatever," She tried to downplay the decision, but seeing how excited it made Yang, Blake wondered if she should have accepted much earlier. Still, nervousness picked at the back of her mind, and she sought to temper Yang's expectation of how tonight might go with a, "I might just be here to watch you, though, I make no promises."
Yang pouted for a moment, then smiled. "Oh, that's okay. Like I said, I don't want to push you into anything you don't want to do."
Relief flooded through Blake at that, and she lifted an arm to return a wave that Velvet had sent her from behind Yang.
"How's it going, Blake? Good to see you again!" Velvet reached out and touched Yang's lower back for a moment, alerting the girl to her presence before dropping her hand to her side.
"Hi, Velvet." Blake glanced back and forth between the two of them, analyzing the silent look the two of them shared. She was unable to decipher it's meaning, however, so she ignored it as Yang returned her beautiful lilac gaze to her.
"Velvet's excited to see what you can do today," Yang teased, causing Velvet to immediately reach up and slap at Yang's shoulder with one hand, her other coming up to cradle the camera dangling at her chest.
"Yang! Don't pressure the poor girl!" Turning to Blake, Velvet's ears dipped in apology, brown eyes studying the feline faunus closely. "I apologize for Yang, she's... " Velvet gestured helplessly at the blonde, who grinned unabashedly.
Blake waved off Velvet's apology. "It's fine, I'm starting to figure out how Yang works."
Reassured, Velvet held up camera, gesturing behind her. "Few more?" She asked. Yang nodded.
"Of course!" Glancing away from Velvet and toward Blake, Yang waggled her eyebrows. "Feel free to jump in any time, ya know."
Blake couldn't muster a response, which was just as well, because Yang had turned away with a cheeky wink, strutting back to the well-lit stage and stepping up onto it.
Neither Ren nor Nora were here today, Blake noticed, looking around, although Ilia was present. She seemed busy though, scrolling through something on her phone and only shooting occasional glances at Yang.
That made her feel better. Being the center of attention was never comfortable for her, and the fewer people watching, the better.
Blake watched instead as Yang got back onto the stage, positioning herself just so at Velvet's direction. Once the faunus was happy, she raised her camera and snapped away, circling around Yang to find the best angle that she could.
Yang was dressed much differently today, and Blake found herself studying every detail. Yang was wearing something Blake never would have expected; a tight white button-down shirt covered her entire upper body, tight around the chest, with the top two buttons undone. Not enough to show anything, but enough to invite speculation. A red tie, loose around her neck, complimented her lilac eyes with a pop of color. With the collar of her shirt lifted, the red ring of the tie encircled her neck and draped down her chest, leading wandering eyes down to her wide hips. A tight black knee length skirt complimented the outfit, hugging Yang in all the right areas, while still granting her ease of movement. Which was important, apparently, Blake noted, as Yang lifted one leg, knee bent, causing her skirt to ride up tantalizingly high on her thigh. Velvet's camera snapped away, the faunus dropping into a crouch for a low angle view of Yang's legs.
Blake had never considered herself hot for teacher, but traitorously, she wondered what sort of things Yang might be able to teach her.
Quashing that thought before it could flourish into something more, Blake shifted her weight from one foot to the other, pushing her left hip out and crossing her arms under her chest. Yang caught the movement, breaking eye contact with Velvet for a moment to glance at Blake and smirk, throwing her a wink.
Oh, what Blake wouldn't give to have a shred of Yang's confidence...
It wasn't until Yang stretched a hand out toward Blake, beckoning her toward the stage, did Blake wonder what exactly it was that held her back. She could be this confident, if she wanted to.
...did she want to?
She wasn't sure. However, she knew for certain that she wanted to be closer to Yang, and if this was how that happened, she would definitely give it a shot.
The back of her neck was on fire before she even took a step forward; merely the thought of doing so, combined with the openly curious look of Velvet was enough to set her skin alight in embarrassment. Still, the interminable draw of Yang pulled her ever closer, and before she knew it, she was taking that small step up onto the raised platform, watching Yang's grin grow ever wider with each step she took.
"I have no idea what to do," She admitted, feeling somewhat foolish now that she was up here. Ilia was staring at her now, Blake could see her pensive expression from the corner of her eye. "So now I feel kinda dumb." She finished.
Yang shook her head, lightly dismissing Blake's concerns. "Don't worry, I have no idea what I'm doing, either."
Blake was certain that the words were meant to put her at ease, but she remained unconvinced. "That's not how it looks from my perspective." Blake nearly whispered now, embarrassment growing as Velvet raised her camera and began focusing in on her, yet not taking any pictures.
Yang gestured to the camera-laden faunus. "No, I'm being serious. I remember two or three main poses, but literally everything I do is at the direction of Velvet." Yang spoke softly, matching Blake's tone. "You'll be fine, I promise. We'll take care of you."
Blake nodded, taking a deep breath as her nerves got the best of her. Exhaling slowly, she turned to Velvet, still unsure of what she was supposed to do. Velvet, however, said nothing; she merely continued to move this way and that, adjusting the focus on her camera and clicking her tongue.
"She's sighting you in," Yang explained at the behest of Blake's unasked question. "Since we're slightly different heights, she's making sure that the lights that cast my face into proper exposure don't cast shadows on yours, or vice-versa. Things like that. No worries."
Blake opened her mouth to respond, but whatever she thought she might say died on her tongue when Velvet dropped her camera against her chest, giving Blake a thumbs up and a wide grin.
"You look great! Mind if I position you?"
Blake nodded, willing to do almost anything other than stand her like a fool with her arms awkwardly at her sides.
"Great!" Velvet hopped up on the small stage and slid her camera strap around her hip until her camera was positioned at her back, away from her front. Gently taking Blake's hand, Velvet motioned to a spot in front of Yang, gently guiding her over.
"Kneel here, and look up at Yang." Velvet instructed, quickly hopping off the stage and raising her camera up to her face.
Blake was sure that her face resembled a tomato now as heat flushed through her cheeks, but she did as she was told, dropping to her knees in front of Yang. Tilting her head back to look up at Yang, she tried to quell the heat rising from her cheeks.
"Okay, Blake hands on your knees, and sit back on your heels, nice and straight. Slight arch in your back, if you cou-great! Just like that."
Blake held the pose as she was directed, staring up into bemused lilac eyes. Blake could hear Velvet's camera clicking away, and her ear flicked, drawing a snicker from both Yang and the faunus photographer.
"Okay, now Yang, reach up and place your hand on Blake's head-Blake, is it okay if she does that?"
Blake hummed, her face the picture of indecision. "As long as she doesn't touch my ears." She allowed, after a second of thought.
Velvet nodded. "Great, Yang, on you."
Yang reached out, but paused before she placed her hand atop Blake's head.
"You sure?"
Blake nodded, then a second later, Yang's light touch descended upon her, fingertips pressing lightly against her hair between her ears. Still, Blake couldn't stop herself from folding her ears back, and the frantic pace of Velvet's camera clicking increased.
"Amazing!" Velvet cooed, sliding to her right and dropping into a squat. A few more pictures snapped off, then Velvet moved in close, hopping up onto the edge of the stage and getting another angle.
"Give me anything you two are comfortable with." Velvet spoke, her tone soft and reassuring. "If this is it, that's okay."
Blake felt herself becoming more daring, and she reached up with one hand, placing it on Yang's thigh. Velvet's camera clicked, and a second later Yang's hand slid down to her cheek, cupping her face gently as they stared into each other's eyes.
"Pull her closer, Yang."
Yang obeyed, fingertips gently pressing into Blake's throat just behind her lower jawline, her thumb tracing comforting circles across her cheek as she pulled Blake closer.
Blake pushed herself off her heels, moving closer, her other hand coming up to find Yang's other thigh.
"Perfect!" Velvet applauded.
Still cupping her cheek gently, Yang reached out with her other hand and gently grabbed a handful of Blake's hair, carefully entangling it in her fingers and lifting up enough to make it look like she was pulling on the luscious raven threads. Leaning down a bit, she pushed her face closer to Blake's, and paused.
Another sound of approval from Velvet as she jumped up on stage, pushing in close and adjusting her depth of field and focus as she circled around to capture the best angle of Yang and Blake's position.
At one moment it seemed like Velvet's camera was inches from her face, and the shutter click was enough to send Blake's ears into a flurry of twitches. Blake could feel her face heating up, and Velvet must have noticed too, because she pushed in on a close-up of Blake's face, snapping a half dozen more pictures. Blake tried not to move, holding herself as still as she could, but she could feel herself trembling in Yang's gentle hold, although due to fear or excitement, she couldn't tell.
"Oh, what I wouldn't give to get you into a mini-skirt and a short sleeved school shirt, Blake." Velvet said it so conversationally that at first Blake wasn't sure she'd heard her correctly, but when Yang snickered and her face broke into a grin, eyes sparkling and drawing Velvet's camera to her, Blake knew she hadn't misheard.
"Okay, Blake, take your hand on Yang's thigh, below Yang's skirt, and push her skirt up a bit- let the fabric bunch up beneath your fingers."
Blake looked hesitantly at Yang, feeling her heartbeat pound in her ears. "You sure?"
Yang nodded, tilting her head toward Velvet, who was currently circling around them.
"She knows my limits, so its up to you and what you want."
Blake could feel her heart hammering in her chest; why did she think this was a good idea? The embarrassment aside, their proximity alone felt like enough to cause short-circuit her brain.
Realizing that Yang was staring at her curiously, Blake quickly made up her mind. Reaching up, she grasped the edge of Yang's black skirt in her hand, loosely forming a fist and pushing up slowly. Yang wiggled her hips a bit, helping the form fitting fabric slide up a bit easier, and just when Blake thought she was going to push her own limits before Yang's, Velvet gave a hum of approval, staying Blake's hand.
"Great, Blake, look up at Yang once more."
Blake followed Velvet's direction, and was rewarded with the rapid snapping of her camera as she danced this way and that around the pair.
"Amazing. I want one more pose, this one a bit more tame." Velvet gestured for Blake to drop Yang's skirt, and she quickly did so, tearing her gaze away from the snickering blonde.
"Okay, instead of facing each other, you're both going to face me. Yang, confident as always. Blake, on your knees, leaning up against Yang's thighs, rest your head on Yang's hip. Yang, pet her head once more, avoiding the ears of course."
Before Velvet had even finished the direction, the faunus was dropping down on one knee, sighting in Yang and humming to herself.
Blake shuffled around until she was satisfied, leaning her head against Yang's hip and trying her best to relax. The bright white glare of the stage lighting shone brightly down on her, but she did her best to ignore it without scrunching her face up and squinting. She hoped that she looked okay.
It was Yang's hesitant, featherlight touch atop her head that snapped Blake out of her musings, and she glanced up at Yang. Velvet, of course, took that opportunity to rattle off a half dozen photos, humming in appreciation and flashing the pair an enthusiastic thumbs up.
"You two look great together!" Velvet complimented, moving around to Blake's right and crouching down. Blake felt the back of her neck burning at the compliment, unsure of whether it was genuine, or simply aimed at relaxing her. Either way, feeling Yang's fingers brush lightly through her hair in acknowledgement set her cheeks ablaze.
It wasn't too much longer when Velvet declared herself satisfied. Setting about wrapping up her camera and lenses, she left the two alone to talk, moving over to where Ilia sat, disinterestedly browsing on her phone.
"What did you think?" Yang asked lightly, stepping off down the stage and stretching her arms over her head.
Blake tilted her head to the side, humming non-committedly.
"Jury's out until I see how bad I look in the photos next to you, but I had fun."
Yang waved her off, scoffing.
"Please. You don't look bad. You look gorgeous, and besides, Velv would never capture a bad angle of you, even if you had one."
Blake's ears flattened beneath the weight of Yang's praise, and she clasped her hands in front of herself, unsure of what to say.
"Was it this nerve-wracking for you when you started?" Blake finally settled on an unrelated question, unwilling to accept the praise lavished upon her by the tall blonde.
Yang shrugged. "Not really, no. Since I started just for fun, that's all I treated it as. I never took it too seriously, so negative responses never bothered me."
Blake tilted her head the other way, fixing the blonde with a puzzled look. "Surely you've never received any negative responses."
Yang flashed her a crooked grin, raising her hands helplessly. "I did- and do- still get some. It happens."
Blake fell silent at that, a flurry of thoughts whirling through her mind. How anyone could say anything against the beautiful blonde, Blake wasn't sure.
"Don't worry, though, Blake." Yang clasped a hand on the faunus' shoulder comfortingly. "The photos you were in- they were just for fun too. No one has to see them if you don't want them to. Whaddya say we get out of here?"
Blake nodded slowly, Yang's words echoing through her mind. No one would see them if she decided she didn't want them to. It was comforting to know that, and made her feel a little better. Lifting her head, she beamed a smile at Yang.
"Yeah. Yeah, let's get out of here."
