So this chapter is definitely not what I had planned. Harry kind of hijacked things a little bit and I ran with it. This is a very short chapter, hopefully I will have a longer one up soon. I have been completely captured by the Red White and Royal Blue fandom recently, but it has jump started my creativity again, so hopefully more regular updates in future.

Harry stared into space lost in thought, his hands cradling his Firewhiskey laced Butterbeer, trying to process all the things he had learnt in the last twenty-four hours. When Lucius had told him about Pansy's plans for Draco he had been horrified what she had intended to do to someone who was supposed to be her friend. From the stories he had heard around Hogwarts they had known each other since they were young children, and Pansy had always seemed like a loyal friend to Draco from what Harry had seen. His situation with Ginny was slightly similar and the thought of what a determined witch might try to do to him via potions had him searching out Draco to learn the ways in which he had protected himself.

It had been an eye opening conversation and the presence of Blaise Zabini had thrown him at first until he realised that they were in a relationship, Lucius' comment about Draco having the same preferences as him registering with him as he noticed the other man wasn't present. He had heard various pieces of what he had assumed was malicious gossip over the years about Lucius and Narcissa's lovers, but he had never paid that much attention to it. It didn't matter to him really, Lucius could be attracted to parchment or owls for all Harry cared, he was still his friend and he would support him.

Knowing that he was attracted to men though made him consider his actions a little bit, he wasn't the most observant of people but he had to admit that their private dinners could have been seen as intimate. Nothing Lucius had done had made him uncomfortable though so he didn't spare it much more thought, they had a friendship that was all, Lucius wouldn't be interested in him. It was just the new knowledge that was making him question things, and making him wonder if there was anything more to their friendship than he had thought. He was surprised at the realisation that he wouldn't be opposed to there being more than friendship between them.

It was a startling realisation for him, he had never thought of himself being with another man, and he suddenly had thoughts running through his head of him and Lucius doing coupley things. Attending events together as a couple, quiet nights in at one of their homes, talking into the early hours of the morning curled together on a sofa. He could picture him making them dinner, learning Lucius' favourites and making them for an intimate dinner for just the two of them

His thoughts took another turn as he took another drink, wondering what Lucius would look like under his pristine robes. He had seen Draco shirtless in the past after quiddich and wondered if they looked alike. Harry groaned to himself at the direction his thoughts were taking, it was insane that a tiny little bit of knowledge about his friend had turned his thoughts in this direction. He was having to examine everything that he thought about himself as he was sure that he had never thought of another man in this sense before, but now that the thought had crossed his mind it wouldn't leave.

Lucius was his friend, and Harry was happy with that friendship, he didn't want to ruin that relationship. It felt like his first proper adult friendship, and he wondered if he was perhaps adding other thoughts about Lucius in his confusion. He cherished the friendship they had built so far, and he greatly valued Lucius' opinion and company, he had been hoping that the friendship would deepen more, but this hadn't been his initial thoughts on direction.

Harry downed the rest of his drink before heading for bed, this was a problem to consider another day, with a clear head. Lucius wasn't interested in him, even if Harry was beginning to realise that he himself might have some slightly more than friendly feelings for his friend didn't mean that Lucius would return them. He would sleep on his thoughts and re-examine them in the morning, hopefully by then he would have some clarity about things. It was surely just the shock of the information that was twisting his thoughts in this direction after all, he'd always had an active imagination after all.
