(Meanwhile…)
Far from the battles that all the chosen kids had, Dylan was calmly diving in the sea, while, on the surface, his father was fishing. His son almost scared him to death when he surfaced from where he was carrying the hook.
"Look dad," he said, showing a shell, "A Trilobite fossil, they are supposed to have been extinct millions of years ago."
"Always so curious, aren't you?" his father asked, "Dylan… why do you have such a desire to learn, but you still don't know what you want to study in the future?"
"Well… it's something complicated dad…"
"You're not doing any more of your ninja games, are you?"
Dylan looked to the side, afraid to tell her the truth: yes, he had been practicing ninja moves since he had returned to the human world and he had also been exploring the sea like that day. However, his father urged him to study things like economics, medicine or others...
"Are you listening?" his father asked.
"Um… yeah dad," Dylan responded, "I promise I'll find where to direct my life."
"Okay… Now, help me catch something instead of scaring away the catch."
The boy then got on the boat, as long as his father left that conversation behind. Dylan's mother had gone on a trip to Australia for family reasons, while his father had inherited his residence at the lighthouse, establishing it as his vacation spot.
It should be noted that, inside the boat, they had a small functional battery-powered radio, from which they listened to music. At one point, they heard interesting news through this:
"…after the attack to the president, more reports of monsters have been reported in schools around the state… it is believed that children were involved in the attacks, but these facts have not been confirmed…"
Dylan did not ignore that news.
"Monsters?" Dylan wondered as he turned to grab the radio.
"Don't worry Dylan, I'm sure it's some kind of propaganda, don't tell me you believe in that?" his father asked him.
Dylan didn't answer, he just started thinking if there was some kind of relationship with the Pokemon. He looked at his cell phone, which he had in the boat, and thought about calling someone.
"Who could I ask?" He said to himself, "Rex, Rose, Luke…"
"Dylan, look over there!" his father suddenly shouted, pointing to the beach.
On the beach, people were beginning to leave because at the lifeguard station the green flag had been lowered and replaced by a black and red flag, signaling danger.
"Danger?" Dylan asked, "But nothing out of the ordinary ever happens in this ocean!
Another boat passed close to them, they were going too fast, so much so that they had even collided with them and blown up a piece of their boat.
"Hey! This costs!" Dylan's father yelled at him.
"Get out of the water!" shouted one of the guys on the boat, "A shark!"
"Shark?" Dylan asked looking at where those guys had come from.
In the sea, near some reefs, a long ridge with deformities approached. However, the underwater shadow of the great beast did not have a tail fin, only the large fish head. As he was about to approach his boat, the great beast reared up. It wasn't just a shark...
"A Sharpedo!" Dylan shouted as his father pulled him out of the way, just before the Sharpedo destroyed half the boat.
"Dylan! Are you ok?" his father asked him as he took him to the other side of the boat.
"Dad, that shark is…!"
But the Sharpedo attacked again, and they had to get away from the wreckage of the boat. Now, they had only a portion of their boat left, and they doubted that anyone would come to help them with such a beast. Taking a quick look at the remains of the boat, Dylan saw his cell phone on one of the floating boards.
"If that's a Sharpedo, then…" he thought, looking at his cell phone. Without wasting time, he swam towards him.
"Dylan! What are you doing?!" his father shouted, believing that this was crazy. Without even thinking about it, he followed him.
The Sharpedo lunged towards them at the same time that Dylan grabbed his cell phone again. Upon contact, a singular glow appeared on it and his Pokephone had appeared in his hands.
"Dylan!" his father shouted at the same time that the son saw how the Sharpedo lunged towards his father.
"Time to evolve!" Dylan shouted, raising the Pokephone from him.
From the device, the light that allowed it to evolve came out and merged with Dylan, making him transform into a Froakie. However, he did not stop there, but the brightness increased and allowed him to evolve again.
"Froakie evolves into… Frogadier!"
Dylan had transformed in front of his father's astonished eyes. However, the Sharpedo was still getting closer.
"Bubbles!" Dylan attacked, blinding the shark Pokemon's eyes.
The Sharpedo went from one side to the other in the sea, on the surface or in the water, those bubbles seemed not to want to leave his eyes. Meanwhile, Dylan lifted his father and helped him reach a piece of wood from the boat that could fit both of them.
"Dylan…what…?" he tried to ask his father.
"There's no time for that, I'll explain later," Dylan cut him off, "I have to take you to the beach…"
Suddenly, a second Sharpedo came out of the water and attacked them. Fortunately, using Double Team, Dylan managed to dodge that attack and save his father.
"Wait here," Dylan said as he left his father for a minute. Then, he jumped.
"Hydro Pump!"
Dylan launched a powerful water bomb that hit the shark Pokemon, launching it into the blinded Sharpedo. When he came down with his father, he had an idea.
"Hold on," he said as he created another ball of water and lowered it into the water, "Water Pulse!"
Using that movement, he turned it into a powerful motor that carried the piece of wood they were on back to the beach. However, the two Sharpedos were back in action and were speeding towards them.
"Help!" said a voice near them. Dylan turned his head: there, with a float, was a boy of approximately 8 years old. Apparently, they couldn't get it out of the sea in time.
"Dad… I hope you forgive me later…" his son told him before jumping into the water and swimming towards the boy. Fortunately, the strong current made him reach dry land.
At that moment, he created two real clones, not illusions. Then, the real one concentrated energy in his right hand, while the others molded that energy: one made it round, adding a shape of 4 leaves, while the other concentrated the energy of the water element.
The Sharpedos were approaching solid ground, but Greninja's group was finished: a ball of water energy, with about 4 blades rotating around the axis of the sphere. It was a big thing, but Dylan held it over his head fairly balanced.
"Here it goes!" he shouted, preparing to launch the attack, "Aqua Rasen-Shuriken!
Dylan threw the attack away from him, and he flew straight towards the encounter with the approaching Sharpedo. However, before the eyes of those who saw the movement of the attack, it failed and only entered the circle, without having hit anyone.
But…
When he was in the middle of the circle, it exploded, creating a huge whirlpool that spread into a large sphere. The force of the explosion also caused a large tide that reached the coast, and sent Sharpedo's group flying there along with a large rain of salt water from the sea. Being in the sand, far from the water, they couldn't move, not to mention the dark rings were destroyed.
"I think it was a good catch!" Dylan smiled, "Don't you think so, Dad?"
Dylan's father was impressed: for so long believing that his son was just playing at being a ninja, it seemed like he had done it before.
"Dylan!" shouted a voice very similar to the boy. Turning, he saw a Charizard and an Unfezant flying towards him. While the gentleman was somewhat afraid, he relaxed when Dylan did not doubt for a moment who they were.
"Rex! "Luke!"
"Hey! What happened?" Luke asked, "I thought we were late. We saw a big explosion and thought…"
"That? It was a new technique I wanted to try" Dylan responded. Suddenly, he created an energy kunai and threw it into the air.
That attack hit a small object, similar to a helicopter, that had a camera lens in its pincers. It was a drone.
"Is this a drone?" Luke asked as the small object burned, "But who…?"
"Guys!" 3 voices called them. It was Zack, Rose and Mina, who had just arrived. Then Rex, Dylan and Luke returned to their human form. At last, they were reunited.
