Author's Note: WHAT IS UP MUCKAAACHUNGAAAAS!? IT'S TRAVEZTY! And I'm here with a new friend of mine named StarBones! Say hello Bones^^

StarBones: Well that was enthusiastic Trav- Anyways hi I'm Bones uh what do I say-

Travezty: Oh just give your thoughts as we go! In any case, today we're going to be bringing you a collab that the two of us have been working on for the past few weeks or so and trust us when we say it, it's going to be awesome! Bones and I had met on Discord a short while back and after discussing a few things, the two of us actually refined an idea I had going on for this project and, well, here we are now! The best part about this was that I found that Bones has an AO3 Account (Somehting I've been trying to get for a few years now, but anyway).

Bones: Hello guys gals and non-binary pals (totally didn't steal that line from an anime haha) but yes I'm excited to be working with Trav even tho I have no clue what's happening with the plot half the time :P

Travezty: I try to be a bit clear with them, but given my autism, I'm not always as clear as I want to be! So basically this story is going to be our brainchild and work of art going forward. It basically combines the concepts of Cyberware from the game Cyberpunk 2077 with that of Izuku Midoriya's prototype character: Mikumo Akatani, the Quirkless Hero Yamikumo. Now I like using Mikumo because it gives me a version of Izuku that allows me to be a bit more edgy than Izuku is, as well as some creative freedom. Plus I recently got back into playing Cyberpunk 2077 again fairly recently. And as I've gotten back into playing, I actually started talking to Bones about what Cyberware would theoretically fit Izuku Midoriya, and our minds went nuts about the possibilities.

Bones: ye even though it was kinda confusing I enjoyed it lolol and dam autocorrect anyways it's been really fun so far (even tho I keep accidentally called Mikumo Izuku hahahahahaha) but yeah it's been a fun ride!

Travezty: After much discussion, and carefully thinking about things, taking in both Izuku's Personality, how he uses One For All, and the other Quirks that come with it, we actually decided that the best Cyberware he would have had were the ones that best utilized his Intelligence, as that, Pre-OFA, was his greatest asset, so we believed a Cyberdeck would be perfect. However, once we started down the Rabbit Hole, we ended up looking up Izukuk's Prototype: Mikumo Akatani. There we found that Mikumo was originally designed to be a Quirkless Hero who relies on Luck, Homemade Gadgets, and Support Gear to get him through everything. At the time we were doing this research, I was also watching the "Sombra vs Spy Rap Battle" by JT Music. This got my gears turning.

Bones: And yes I gave Mikumo the nickname Miku, I am a shameless Cocaloid and Project Sekai fan 3 Oh and when Trav sent me the Sombra rap battle, ngl, it slapped

Travezty: Indeed^^ Anyway, once we both got a closer look at both Spy and Sombra, I instantly knew what kind of build I wanted to do for Mikumo, and with Bones's help, I actually managed to refine my Cyberpunk Build for Mikumo.

Bones: Well yeah man kept changing your mind lmaooooooo

Travezty: Guilty as Charged! But eventually we all settled on a build, and then, at my request, we started rping out the basics for this story, with Bones acting as the on-the-fly editor and my rp partner, whilst I would refine the entire story once we finished a chapter to make it a bit more palatable and clean, and I would also rp out most of the male characters, whilst Bones, at their discretion, would rp out any of the characters they liked, though in this chapter with Inko.

Bones: TORU AHHH I LOVE HER, Inko too she girlboss

Travezy: Bones! Shhhh! Spoilers XD. But yes, if you can probably tell, Miku is going to be paired up with Toru, and Inko is going to be a bit of a badass in this story.

Bones: hahaha fight me :)

Travesty: If only XD, in any case, we both agreed that if we worked on this story together, we would each post the chapter we finished to our own accounts, mine as "Travezty" on Fanfiction!

Bones: and mwah as "Solarnol" on Archive of our Own! (AO3 the godly website)

Travesty: So that way, if anyone has a preferred site, or if one of the sites is down for some reason, you can go over to our respective accounts to check for updates!

Bones: clout baby! (Haha pls)

Travesty: In any case, this entire story will be taking the Concept of Mikumo Akatani and turning him into a Cyberpunk, with his Operating System being that of a Cyberdeck, turning him into a NetRunner. Also if you saw the Pic for this story, that was my idea concept and Bones's master work on the drawing. If you find out where they post their stuff as an artist, please let me know so I can check them out myself! It's absolutely amazing, and we're going to update that in a few chapters to have Mikumo's full Hero Form, so be ready for that!

Bones: aw thanks trav! I'll dm you my insta later lol. But yeah I love drawing and stuff and dam this work is gonna be a bitch to tag on AO3… Problems for later i suppose

Travezty: Gracias, hermana. Anyway, I will warn you guys, there will be some Early Bakugo Bashing in this story, mainly because I can't stand him, and, yes I know he redeemed himself in the latest chapters, this will be for his own good, especially once you read the end of this chapter. Giving him the kick in the nuts and checking his privilege early on in the story, in my opinion, will be just what he needs to fix his attitude, and become a better person later.

Bones: NO TRAVVVVV :( at least he gets character development

Travezty: Trust me, Bones, better to get this done sooner rather than later, and this will be hammered home during the First Combat Training Session later on, so it will help him become a much better person, though, just for kicks, he'll still be competitive, but he'll learn he doesn't have the biggest dick in the room simply because he was born lucky.

Bones: bros got a superiority and inferiority Complex simultaneously

Travezty: Yeah, and it went unchecked for years according to canon, so helping him get over it with a quick dick-check will help him out. Especially with the world building we're doing as we go.

Bones: "quick dick check" LMAO IM DYING Also love worldbuilding so fun

Travezty: XD In any case, I think you guys get the point. As a final note, this story will be a MikuToru story, but will also have a subplot of ToshiInko, and, if I feel I can find someway to do it, maybe either a Baku (Can't believe I'm going to say this) Kiri, or BakuOcha ship for him later, still undecided.

Bones: YAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYA COME OVER TO THE GAYS TRAV (I will personally help write it)

Travezty: I'm straight, so no thanks on changing teams, but just to be clear here, Bones and I have agreed that there will be no Sexual Scenes in this story, there will be some perverted stuff, but that will be extremely limited, maybe some teasing, maybe a few other things, but we haven't' decided the limits yet. In any case, we'll be doing Romance Scenes, but other than that, nothing solid yet beyond that. However, if you want the NSFW version with MikuToru and InkoToshi, I'll be posting the NSFW Content on my Fanfiction account as part of a separate set of Uploads.

Bones: nah trav I respect That your Straight ofc! But yeah what trav said but I am excited to write KiriBaku if that's where we are going! I won't be uploading any NSFW for the record so if u want the spicy stuff go to Trav's fanfic

Travezty: It is, just don't mind my awkwardness in those scenes, I'm not used to doing those types of romances in stories yet. In any case, I think that is enough out of us for now. Please be sure to Follow, Favorite, Review, and Share our story with anyone and everyone you know who likes My Hero Academia and Cyberpunk 2077 Content!

Bones: anyways thanks for reading this Lil drabble of an author's note! And on the ao3 side don't forget to bookmark, comment and kudos! It's a pleasure to co author with trav^^

Travezty: And it's an honor to finally have a partner to collab with! Catch ya on the Flipside!

Bones: cya later hope you enjoy the story!

Travezty and Bones: SMAAAAAAASH!

Prologue: Let'er Rip

It is a fine afternoon, or at least it was, for Inko Midoriya, she had been preparing dinner at home when she got the news about her son, Mikumo, having been sent to the hospital for severe and grievous injuries due to a villain attack. Inko arrives at the hospital that Izuku is at, and when she gets there, she sees a Skeleton of a blonde man sitting just outside the emergency room. The man looks over to Inko, seeing her crying, "Miss... Are you Young Midoriya's mother?"

"Uh yes, yes! I am Mikumo's mother. Um, do you know how he's doing?" She stuttered through ragged tearful breaths. "It's just my baby- I don't know I always get so nervous when he gets hurt god I hope he's doing alright! Anyways I'm sorry sir are you alright? You look rather..." Toshinori then looks to the light in the Emergency room as it turns off and Mikumo is wheeled out of the surgery with bandages the upper part of his face, and his arms wrapped in bandages

"My baby!" Inko practically all but screeches as she rushes over to her son once she sees him, partially forgetting the strange blond man's existence, all that mattered was her battered son. Tears ingrained themselves in her cheeks as she took in the sight of her dear son, her big heart practically cracked in two. She desperately began asking the doctors questions on his condition. "How is he doing? What happened? What such injuries has he got? Please someone answer me!?" A doctor walked over to her grimly.

"Calm down ma'am please." The Doctor asks, "Ma'am, are you his mother?"

"Yes this is his mother, Mrs. Midoriya, and I'm Toshinori Yagi, the man whom this boy had saved during the villain attack. All Might couldn't be here right now because he has to deal with damage control at the scene of the crime." Toshinori says. Hearing this, the doctor nods as he takes a deep breath as he begins to explain the situation.

"Well then I'll be blunt... Mikumo is in pretty critical condition... He had suffered so many head injuries and that it's a miracle he's alive, even in this state... His arms are also extremely lucky to have survived... Hell, as I said, for a quirkless boy like him to survive the equivalent of a tactical nuke going off in his face is a miracle..." Wait... A Tactical Nuke...? That could only mean one thing… It was Katsuki Bakugou's quirk that had been used against him, if it did that much damage to him.

"Oh my baby! How could this happen to him!? Where is All Might I'd like to have quite a word with!" She spoke with fury only known to that of a mother, she stroked her hand gently through her son's emerald locks, she turned to Toshinori, "I'm glad Izuku was able to save someone...but not at the cost of his own health." She sniffed, her eyes burning with wetness. "At-at least he survived." She turned to the doctors, "What treatments have been done to him and is there anything he still needs?"

"Well there isn't much that we actually can do, and what we could do is technically something that everyone is against right now?"

"What would that be?" Toshinori asks.

"Cybernetic Implants…"

"Doctor, you can't!" A Nurse says walking in. "You can't give this Quirkless fool Cybernetics, it's not only giving this less than human… thing… More than he deserves, but it's also too much to give that-"

"Say another word and I'm going to report you to the Chief Executive Officer for your words and actions, or have you forgotten the Chief's own daughter is quirkless?" The Doctor asks, glaring at the woman, taking off a glove to one of his hands, revealing that it is entirely mechanical, made of a shining silvery metal, "Or did you not notice that I have a Cybernetic Hand as well?" The Nurse squeaks as she then turns to her colleagues, who are looking at her, horrified as the woman rushes away as as fast as she can.

He then turns back to Inko and to Toshinori, "Sorry about that, but she did make a great point. Not many people here think highly about Quirkless people getting Cybernetic Implants, especially those that can put them on an equal playing field to those with quirks. There is also the risk of Cybernetic-Induced Psychosis being a risk factor due to the limitations on the balance between organic tissue and cybernetic implants being unknown at this point." The doctor then reveals his name is Mikoto Nakadai, and he is among only a handful of people to have cybernetic implants thanks to a "quack" surgeon named Viktor Vektor, who gave him his cybernetic hand as a prosthetic when he lost his original as a kid.

Inko considered the options but ultimately she didn't have much of a choice, "I don't care what you do as long as it saves him!" She cried out desperately, the nurses rushed around her trying to calm her down but refused to heed any of them. "No one says what my son can and can't have! He needs whatever is the best to help his chance of surviving, now you doctors better get cracking!" She huffed furiously, tears still thundering down her cheeks.

Toshinori smiles at Inko, and then asks about the Quack Surgeon Viktor Vektor, and Nakadai reveals that Vektor is known as a Ripper Doc, basically an underground surgeon who specializes in cybernetics. He also has his number so he can call him up and ask for his help, but warns them that cybernetic surgery is expensive, but Toshinori discloses that it won't be a problem. He then reveals he has a card with All Might's name on it. "My boss lent me his card to pay for everything... He can't be here to support Young Midoriya, but he wanted me to pass on a message and to help pay for his expenses." Toshinori says.

"I see…Well…" He then hands Toshinori and Inko the profile on Izuku's injuries, "Bring this to Doctor Vektor…" They then see their phones get messages when Doctor Nakadai's eyes light up for a second. "I just sent you the location of his office, he should be willing to help if you speak with him directly…I'll let him know you're on your way."

Inko had gotten weepy, "Oh thank you Mr. Toshinori, I've heard of cybernetics but honestly I just want the best for my son. I would also like to see this… Vektor…" She said protectively, "As for the money…Mr. Toshinori, why are you and your boss helping us?!" She said bewildered at the amount of money.

"Simple... Your son not only saved our lives, but he also helped us remember our ideals, All Might remembered why he was the #1 Hero, and as for me, he reminded me that Quirkless people could be heroes too!"

Inko nodded gently, her cheeks slowly drying, "I am glad Mikumo could help you. Sometimes ideals get lost in such a busy world, I am grateful for you staying here with him in the hospital and taking care of the costs." She smiled in gratitude.

Yagi smiles and soon he calls his supercar, Hercules, and they drive off to Viktor Vektor's Clinic, in which they find it actually situated in a basement which, surprisingly, is very clean. After knocking on the door, Doctor Vektor welcomes them in with tea and coffee.

"So I hear you wished to see me, correct?" Doctor Vektor asks.

Inko nodded and looked to Toshinori for guidance, "Yes we need help with my son."

"Yes, we need your help...!" He then gives Doctor Vektor the medical file and the Doctor reads through it and breathes in sharply after looking at the injuries.

"How is this kid still alive? I've only seen one miracle case like this... A Long time ago..." He looks sadly as he thinks about it. "You know what, I'll do it!" Viktor says, "I'll give this kid the basics... Anything Else I'll need some time to study his personality after the surgery! But this is what I can offer at the moment!" He then gives Inko a list of what he can offer: A Neuroport installed at the base of Mikumo's head, an Interface Plug in Mikumo's Arm, Standard Cyberoptics to replace Izuku's destroyed eyes, Cyberaudio Implants to fix Izuku's destroyed ears and Cybernetic Arms to replace Mikumo's Practically destroyed forearms.

Inko nods along to him, still slightly worried and confused but wanting to do whatever is best for her son. She tried to make sense of everything Mr. Viktor was saying, but she only managed to go along with half an ear. Though she didn't understand, she trusted the people around her to do what's best for her son. "Will there be any negative side effects on Mikumo? I need to know if the procedure will go alright…If there's any high risk I don't want my son to get hurt." She asked the doctor, desperation coloured in her voice.

"There is always a risk with Cyberware… Strictly speaking, the more one implants cyberware into their body, the more it tends to weaken the mind in the long run. However, I know of a person who had tons of military grade Cyberware Prototypes in them, and he didn't go cyberpsycho for years because he had a huge support system around him. Once that started falling apart, however, his resistance faltered and he went nuts…" Doctor Vektor explains. "However, I will say this guy fully borged himself out. But for your average person, I'd say that, beyond these pieces that I am planning on putting in your son, 20 Pieces of Cyberware specifically designed for combat will be his hard limit."

Inko nodded hurriedly, "Whatever is safest for Miku." She fiddled with her hands in her lap. However, this piqued Toshinori's interest.

"Why 20?" Toshinori asks.

"Because that is the Hard Limit I set myself, and from the experiments I ran for the government before things started drastically going wrong… Anymore than that and the odds of Cyberpsychosis increase dramatically." Viktor says, pinching the bridge of his nose to chase away those memories.

"Cyberpsychosis?!" Inko said alarmed, "Are you sure that 20 is enough of a limit?" She played with her hair nervously, not meeting Viktor's eyes.

"That is why I need to personally meet and talk to your son, so I can determine his… Build… You see Cyberware has some hard fast limitations on what kind of person can handle them at certain grades. If they don't have the build to handle them, then they'll have a higher chance of going Cyberpsycho." Viktor explains "For instance, anyone attempting to use an Intelligence-Based Cyberware will poach their brain if they don't have the mental faculties to handle it. One of my customers had chipped in a Military Grade Sandevistan, a Reflex-based piece of Cyberware when he was built like a brute. Only his support network kept him as a sane man, and once that was gone… Well, I suppose you could say he took on the name 'Toxic Chainsaw' until he was put down for good."

"Toxic Chainsaw…" Toshinori says, looking down, remembering his fight with him.

Inko whimpered at the statement, she felt horrified at the side effects that could go wrong, what if that happened to her baby? She would be distraught, the more she listened to Viktor talk the more uneasy she felt about the procedure. "Are-are you sure you know what you're doing Mr. Viktor?"

"I've been working hard to perfect the system I've developed to minimize the chances of Cyberpsychosis, and if we catch it just as it starts setting in, we can stop it from fully setting in, or at least, we can direct it towards the more manageable symptoms so he can still fulfill his dreams, but will need weekly counseling and medications for the rest of his life at best." Viktor explains, "So that it becomes more like a manageable mental disorder than outright Psychosis." He smiles as he looks at Mrs. Midoriya, "So once I meet your son, I will determine the best and safest hardware and software for him."

Inko's heart calms slightly, "But isn't he still having a mental disorder still bad? Well I guess he has no other choice for his quality of life to improve…my poor baby I can't have him live in the state he's in for the rest of his life…"

"Don't worry Mrs. Midoriya, I will do everything I can to help him. And if anything goes wrong, I can remove his tech and find another way for him to achieve his dream!" He smiles, "You can knock a cyberpunk down, but they aren't out till you zero them!" Inko nodded, her worries weren't completely placated but she felt better about the situation, she gradually trusted Viktor more, but still had her reservations about him. Ultimately, there was nothing too suspicious about him and he seemed straightforward. She wanted the best for her son, and if this was the way she would embrace it.

Soon the group would return to the Hospital, where they bring Mikumo back into the Operating Room, and with his own instruments, begins ripping into Mikumo, and, with surprising speed, finesse, and skill, he inserts all the implants with as little excessive damage as possible. In comparison to the hours it took the doctors to tend to Miku's injuries, Viktor gets his operation done in less than an hour to finish, and when the doctors check Mikumo's body for scars, they find nothing as Doctor Vektor is outside, smoking a cigarette with a satisfied smile on his face. Boy, did he miss this, saving lives… Mikumo is currently back in the ICU to keep him under observation to make sure that "quack" didn't screw up.

A few days later, Mikumo wakes from his state of unconsciousness, finding his eyes covered and starts asking up a storm, terrified. Inko walks into her son's hospital room, her face grew ecstatic to discover he was awake. She all but bounded over to him and squeezed him into a bear hug. "Oh Miku! I'm so glad you're okay…how are you feeling?" She let go of him to see if he was ok, her eyes scanning him worriedly.

He still had the bandages over his eyes to help his new optics take while he was out, and he immediately recognizes her voice. "Mom? Is that you? I can't see a thing!" He is starting to calm down as he hears his mother's voice and feels her arms around him. However, the memories of yesterday repeat clearly, his arms were blown off, his eardrums ruptured and his eyes were incinerated… Then after that, a hard hit to the head… and… After that… He felt somebody guiding him back… Inko's brows pinched worriedly as she watched her son's face go through a range of emotions, she felt helpless not knowing how to help her son and all she could do was offer support. She gently hugged him and tried to console him.

That is when the door opens and she sees Doctor Vektor walking into the room with Toshinori Yagi, as well as what appears to be a Detective and Government official of some kind. "Young Midoriya, I don't know if you recognize my voice, but I'm Toshinori Yagi, the man you helped save a few days ago with your heroism. I came to personally thank you. All Might would've been here but he had gotten sick at the last minute, so he wanted me to apologize to you in his stead." Toshinori says.

"O-Oh…!" Mikumo then picks up on what Toshinori is saying and nods, "I understand…"

"Mikumo, I am Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi, and this is one of the Hero Public Safety Commission Members, Wataru Mikomachi." Detective Tsukauchi says, to which Mikomachi grunts slightly. "Don't mind the Commissioner, he's not one for words with strangers." That is when suddenly Tsukauchi gets smacked in the back of his head, with the Commissioner giving Tsukauchi a glare. "Ow! Okay I deserved that!" Commissioner Mikomachi turns his head away, snorting annoyedly.

"Uh well well Detective and others, what do you need from Miku, or me? What are you here for?" She asked them as she slowly unwrapped herself from hugging her son.

"Well Mrs. Midoriya…" Toshinori says, "Mainly we're here to inform Young Midoriya of a few things… First off, Young Midoriya… What do you remember?"

"I… I remember… Running… Rushing in to save Kacchan from a Sludge Villain that All Might had saved me from a short bit earlier… I wanted his opinion on whether a quirkless person like me could be a hero… He told me "no"..." Mikumo says, "After that, I had seen Kacchan in the villain's grasp and… My legs… They just started moving on their own… I acted on instinct to try and save Kacchan… That is when All Might appeared, he came to save me, and… He thanked me for helping him remember why he was a hero, and for proving him wrong… However, as he was moving to punch the villain, the monster made one last desperate attempt to strike at All Might with Kacchan's quirk… That is when… I moved on my own again and… Then I woke up here…" Toshinori looks down as he hears this, and then Doctor Vektor explains the damage that Izuku had suffered: Destroyed Eardrums, Incinerated Eyes, severed arms, and severe head trauma, all of which should have killed him, only for Mikumo to survive out of sheer will power.

"I had only seen someone survive something that extreme once… And that young man became a legend… In any case, Midoriya… I was able to restore everything that was destroyed, well save your brain, but the reason why your eyes are currently covered is because your optics were the last to be implanted, and they would be extremely sensitive to light once the setting was done, making it painful when you opened them for the first time." Doctor Vektor says, but then he begins removing them, "Now though, they should be fully set and while it will hurt a little, it shouldn't be as bad." Inko felt unnerved as she sat next to her son's bed, listening to what Vektor was saying even though she had heard it from him before, it still didn't hurt her any less to hear what her son was going through. She gently held his hand in hers, offering the best thing she could, comfort.

Mikumo smiles at his mother as he feels her squeeze his hand, and, as the bandages come off, he slowly opens his eyes to reveal his world has completely changed, almost as if the colors are now crisper, clearer, almost as if he is seeing things that were there but he didn't notice. "Wow, this is amazing!" Mikumo says, but then the bandages around his arms are removed and reveals his Cybernetic arms, in which the Commissioner steps up.

"Now I know you've heard of the recent stir about the thoughts on Cybernetic Enhancements and the risks associated with them, Midoriya… As such, the commission itself is going to be monitoring your condition, and you will be having regular check-ups to make sure that nothing untoward happens." Commissioner Mikomachi says, speaking up, "What you've been given is a unique opportunity for the Quirkless to find ways to become heroes, not just with cybernetics, but through other means as well, like through their own inventions, such as power suits, and the like."

"And we're also setting a hard limit on the amount of Cyberware you can legally have installed, if you have the money to purchase them…" Detective Tsukauchi explains, "Namely due to the fact that Doctor Vektor had told us that most people can only have a certain amount of cyberware before Cyberpsychosis sets in."

"I… I understand…" Mikumo says, flexing his new fingers and then, unintentionally, snaps his wrist the wrong way and out pops a large blade attached to arms from his forearm. "WHOA!" The blade almost hits the Commissioner, but luckily, the man draws a knife and stops it with just the tip of his blade. "S-sorry!"

"Eep!" Inko screamed alarmed, almost jumping out of her chair.

"No I'm sorry, I should've said something about the Mantis Blades…" Vektor says, "I had to rush to install them with the Commissioner coming in, and I didn't have enough time to set the safety protocols in…" Vektor apologizes.

Inko huffed, annoyed, "Well you probably should have! If my son gets hurt I won't hesitate to bash your head in!" She sat back down and looked to her son worriedly, "Are you ok? Did you hurt anything?"

"Are you kidding mom!? This is awesome!" Mikumo says, once he calms down, flexing his fingers as he causes the blade to start moving back slightly and quickly figures out how to manipulate it… The Blades came out of an opening in his arm's chassis and reveals the cybernetic muscles and wiring inside, however, Mikumo then figures out how to retract the blade into his arm and Vektor says he's going to add those safeties in now, and, much to everyone's surprise, he carefully opens the arms and brings out his tools as he puts on some sunglasses, actually moving some wiring around in Mikumo's arms. "Wow… That's amazing, also why do I hardly feel anything?"

"I turned on some pain inhibitors, they're mostly used for when you're getting your tech upgraded or modified… makes it so there isn't any pain when making the modifications… There is a piece of tech called a Pain Editor which makes it so you hurt less when taking damage." Viktor explains, while Inko watches on as he carefully works while talking… The machinery is highly intricate when one looks at it, synthetic muscles, metallic bones, wires acting as nervendings, and even micro computers making sure everything runs smoothly.

"This is amazing!" Toshinori says, before looking at Inko who looks happy for her son, still slightly concerned on the safety side of things but alas it is a mother's job to worry about anything and everything. She didn't quite understand all of what Vektor was saying, but her son looked excited so she was happy for him. Mikumo, meanwhile, is intrigued by what he is seeing, and sees his mother wants to say something, so he waits to say what he does.

"Mr. Vektor, is there anything else important we need to know? And will you explain how Miku's new body works in detail to him?" She asks him.

"Of course, Mrs. Midoriya…" Doctor Vektor says. After this he goes onto explain that Mikumo's body is now enhanced with computerized components, aside from the maintenance that they will occasionally need, as well as cyberware updates to make sure everything is running smoothly, they will act just like a normal body does, but with a few distinct differences. The first is that Mikumo's implants are, by their very nature, made of refined computerized and synthetic materials, and, much like how Quirks Work, they only need one's thought processes to activate them. "However, as I said they will need occasional maintenance, namely a tune-up on the hardware and a software cleaning, specialized maintenance that an antivirus or even a mechanic can't do without specialized training. That is why I've decided to take on an apprentice myself to pass on my knowledge!"

Mikumo nods as he takes mental notes as Viktor explains the new cyberware that he had been implanted with. A Neuroport where Mikumo could install chips, datashards, and even usb flash drives in order to transfer and store data, Cyberaudio to repair his damaged ears, prosthetic arms with mantis blades incase things get messy, and Interface Plug with interchangeable heads to sink into any computer he can think of to make gathering data easier. However, the real beauty are his Kiroshi Optics, which come complete with a scanner, telescopic vision, recording tech linked up to his Cyber-Audio enhancements, Heads-Up Display to keep track of things, but the cherry on top is that he also linked it to the Police Department's File Cases, "So that if you unknowingly run into any ne'er-do-wells, you'll know exactly what they ne'er-did-well!"

"You gave this kid access to our databases!?" Tsukauchi asks, shocked.

"Trust me, where I come from, it's an essential piece of tech for civilians who get Kiroshi Optics, as they need to know if they are hanging out with a cyberpsycho, or a member from one of the 14 Gangs that overrun my hometown." Viktor explains, "I know things are different here in japan, but you can never be too careful."

Inko nodded along with what Mr. Vektor was saying, "Better to know more than less I suppose with Miku's situation all things considered." She placed a comforting hand on her son's shoulder. Mikumo, all the while, was taking everything in stride and was practically bouncing for joy as he thinks about this.

"There are also some modifications I can give to your optics to allow you to pursue your hero work whilst using your Mantis Blades without fear of them killing anyone, as well as a few other upgrades as well!" Now what he brings out next look like they are a set of sunglasses lenses, but they seem just slightly more hi-tech than normal sunglasses. "These are Ocular Mods, think of them like sunglasses that you can slide over your eyes at will to allow you certain perspectives to enhance your Optics. Considering what you got hit with, and the level of Kiroshi Optics I gave you, I chose the Threat Analysis, Explosives Analysis, and the Target Analysis Mods to help you detect threats that spot you from stealth, help you detect the range of explosive materials, and to ensure that any attack you make an opponent will be non-lethal unless you attack them whilst they are unconscious."

"Wow, thank you!" Mikumo says, "But how do I insert these mods?"

"We can actually do that right now, I just need you to hold still while I insert them… Think of them as retractable contact lenses mixed with sunglasses." Viktor says, in which Mikumo lays back and relaxes as Viktor carefully, and with the grace of a crane, and the gentleness of a falling feather, inserts the modifications, and, he's actually right, it is like inserting contact lenses, only they are bigger. "You also don't need to worry about them sliding into the back of your eye, the frames will hold them in place, and they will retract along your optics to ensure they aren't active all the time." Once the last one is added, Mikumo smiles as he looks through them "Also…" He brings out an Inhaler from his pocket. "Take two whiffs of this and two more in an hour."

"What is it?" Mikumo asks.

"It's a mild stim, while you were unconscious while the implant took root, your body will still be adjusting to it, this will speed things up so that you adapt quickly enough…" Mikumo hesitantly takes the inhaler and does as he is told but his eyes widen as he feels the rush. "Yeah don't let it get to your head kid, those stims are powerful, but taking them too often will ruin your system, both biological and cybernetic. That is why there is only enough medicine in that thing for four shots, the two now and the two in an hour." Viktor says, to which Mikumo nods and puts the inhaler aside. "Now aside from that, All Might has forwarded enough cash for you to get a few more implants after you've fully adjusted to your current ones, but the major one we need to think about is your operating system…"

"Operating System?" Mikumo asks.

"Yes, the doctors missed it during their examination, but your spine had undergone some severe trauma, to the point you would've been paralyzed from your chest down, so I had to completely replace… However, I left a slot open in it to allow for you to choose what kind of Operating System you would like to take on. There are three that I can offer you: The Berserk, the Cyberdeck, and the Sandevistan. I'll make a long explanation short, but a Berserk will temporarily boost your physical capabilities to allow you to overwhelm your opponents with brute force, a cyberdeck will grant you hacking abilities at a decent enough range, whilst a Sandevistan will allow you to move at blindingly high speeds so that you can blitz your opponents." Mikumo looks at his mother's worried look and mulls it over, seeing the worried look on her face.

"This is a lot of information all at once…" Inko pauses.

"It is…" Mikumo thinks, "However, I need to know one thing…" Mikumo says, looking at Viktor, "Is it possible to hack anyone who doesn't have any cyberware?"

"It's theoretically possible, cybernetics are intrinsically linked to the nervous system, and such a friend of mine theorized that one could actually hack a chromeless person if they found a way to hack into a person's nervous system directly… Though again, it's in theory, and doing so would take a genius to figure out how to pull it off…" Viktor explains. To this, Mikumo smiles as he looks at Viktor, which gives the Doctor a flashback to somebody he used to know who gave the same smile. 'V…'

"Then I will take the Cyberdeck!" Mikumo says, smirking.

Inko's eyes go wide with surprise, "And your reason for that is?" She prompts her son.

"Two things… One, I know it would do you a world of good if I managed to remain out of the fighting for as long as possible." Mikumo says, "After what I had just gone through, I am sure you nearly dehydrated yourself from crying, and probably worried yourself near to death." Mikumo says this, not to taunt her, but with regret in his voice. "Secondly, while I do want to be like All Might, I realize now what he had tried to tell me… I shouldn't try to be something I'm not, and try to figure out how to achieve my dream more practically. As such, I'm going to focus on being a more support-style hero, attacking from a distance and supporting my allies from a distance. Not to mention, if I'm thinking about this correctly, I could easily clear out an entire room of enemies with just a glance if I pull this off." Mikumo says, smiling, "Much like Eraserhead!"

Inko got slightly weepy, her son really had grown so much…she almost wondered where all those years went. "Oh Miku…it is best to embrace yourself. I'm proud of you for the decision you've made, but I still urge you to take caution, not just for your well being but, but for those who care about you." She nodded to him, she felt like protecting him, shielding him, but she knew that she also had to give him room to grow into his own person. "I'll be with you every step of the way Miku."

"Thanks mom!" Mikumo says, to which Viktor then brings out a collection of Cyberdecks and begins explaining their strengths and weaknesses, and Viktor explains the three he brings out were his magnum opus, three specifically designed for certain situations. First up was the Arasaka, which was specifically designed for undercover work, namely using Covert Style hacks and would allow Mikumo to more easily identify targets after hacking into a computer network. Next was Tetratronic Rippler, which was designed for not only allowing more spammable Ultimates, but would allow for Hacks to upload faster as well as those that had cooldowns to recover faster. Finally, there was the NetWatch NetDriver, which was focused entirely on offensive hacks, the only one meant for direct combat and would increase Mikumo's recovery rate.

Inko nods, "No problem Miku, I hope you are understanding this, certainly more than I am." She huffs a chuckle, such a bizarre situation it was, but it gave her son hope and that is what matters. "Make sure to take notes in your notebooks. I'm sure it will come in handy." Mikumo nods at his mother and then decides to think on it, this was honestly a very difficult choice to make. Option 1, the Arasaka, would be better suited if he really wanted to embrace the Eraserhead Mindset, allowing him to induce negative effects slightly longer. Option 2, the Rippler, would allow him to hack fast and get back into the fight faster, but he knew nothing about the Ultimates, and something told him that, even if he didn't want to, they would be lethal. And Option 3, the NetDriver, was geared more towards a Bakugou-esque approach… Decisions decisions…

After thinking about it, he decided he wouldn't go for the Arasaka, knowing that eventually he wouldn't be able to remain in stealth, so that only left the Rippler and the NetDriver… "Does anyone have a coin?" Mikumo asks.

Inko reached inside her purse and handed Mikumo a random coin, "Here you go dear."

"Thanks…" Mikumo says, smiling. "Heads will be the NetDriver… Tails, the Rippler…" He then flips the coin into the air, and it was like it was falling in slow motion as Mikumo closes his eyes, moving his hand into position to catch it on instinct, and soon the coin would hit his hand and, before anyone could see the result when it landed in his hand, he slammed it against the back of his palm… Revealing it was the Tails… "Then I'm going with the Rippler!"

Inko nodded, unsure if he should let a coin decide his fate but oh well, it was Miku's decision. Mikumo smiles at his mother, giving her an encouraging look, and soon, Mikumo is taken back into Surgery, so that he may get the Cyberdeck implanted. It was a simple operation, but the reason why it couldn't be done in his hospital bed is because Viktor had to make sure the thing was inserted properly, and doing so required a bit more modifications to the spinal graft to make sure it set in properly, when Mikumo was brought back out of surgery a few hours later, Inko could see a purple glow from Mikumo's body, with parts of his head shaved and some cybernetics flowing around his face, and along the back of his head, connected to his spinal graft. "Alright Mrs. Midoriya, this should be about it for now, his last implants for the moment. I'll be in touch to do any maintenance and software cleaning. However…" He then gives Inko something, it's a USB Flash Drive, "Mikumo will need to have this inserted into his Neuroport when he wakes up, it's a monitoring software which will alert me for any emergency situation to help him."

Inko couldn't help getting weepy, she always did when Mikumo went into the hospital, no matter how small or big the injury. "Oh ok!" She said taking the flash drive, "Where do I insert it-?" She fiddled with it in her hands unsure.

"His Neuroport, right at the base of his head." Viktor explains, "But don't just shove it in, be careful when you do it. Other than that, just insert it and allow Mikumo to upload it into his software himself and then it will be an empty flash drive for you to use as you see fit!"

"Ok thank you for the instructions Viktor, when do you think is the soonest Mikumo will be discharged or do you still need to check up on his condition." She ranted nervously.

"The Day before the UA Entrance Exams to make sure everything is running smoothly. But I won't be implanting any Cyberware into him for a few months at least, I need his body to adjust to his current cybernetics first before I think about adding more… Putting too much in at once will end up doing more harm than good."

Inko nods in understanding, "Thank you for everything Mr. Vektor, and to you too, Mr. Yagii you two have done the world for my son, I really cannot thank you enough." She said clasping her hands together in gratitude, she was so grateful her son was ok, it almost made her cry all over again.

"It is nothing, Mrs. Midoriya, but there is one more person who needs to express their gratitude to Young Midoriya soon, he will be here after Young Midoriya wakes up." Toshinori says, smiling at her, "In any case, I will need to take my leave…" he hands her his contact information, "Let me know when he wakes up and I'll get everything set up."

"Yes, yes of course I will, I'll be by Miku's side and I'll definitely notify you." She nods and stares at her son with fondness, but a touch of worry. "All Might is coming to express his gratitude right? All Might is Miku's hero…he'll be ecstatic to see him! Thanks again Mr. Toshinori, goodbye now." She waved to him with a smile.

"No need to thank me!" Toshinori says, heading out with a smile on his face and drives off in his… Rather expensive supercar, before giving her one more bow before entering it. A few hours later, Mikumo wakes up and he feels his head pounding, but then again, Viktor had warned him about it… When he looked at himself in a mirror, with much shorter hair, most of his head shaved, save for a large bit of his hair which still flows over his right eye, which he smiles as he notices the neural implants flowing across his head, and the stylish cybernetics that flow across his face, and nods at his look, actually liking it. He then looks to his mother wondering what she thinks about his new look.

Mikumo's new look is that of him having a long Undercut Fade hairstyle, with most of the hair on his head having been buzzed down to near baldness right up to his hairline, save for a large amount of hair around the center of his head. That hunter's green hair of his extremely wild and unkempt, but that's just how stubborn his hair is, as no matter how much they try to comb or brush it, it always ends up back in it's messy state an hour or two later. In any case, this hair has been turned into a bang that flows over his right eye and hangs down to his chin. Aside from that, coming out of the back of his head are what appear to be faintly glowing green pieces of cyberware that have been installed into the back of his head that flow along the top of his head towards his hairline, ending in triangular silver pieces. Finally, there are pieces of green cyberware that flow down the center of his eyebrows and eyes, then angle down and under his cheekbones at precise angles, then angle up his temples until they bend around and stop just above and behind his ears.

Inko smiled, her son sure had grown up, he looked so different now and she couldn't quite believe it. "You look so much older Miku, I can't believe how fast time has flown." A gentle smile formed on her lips as she reassured him, sure he now looked a little bit odd but she didn't mind. "This sure is a lot to cope with. I hope you're doing alright Miku." She said to him,

"I will admit, it is a little bit odd, but… If I may be honest, I'm feeling… Great to be honest, it's like I sipped over two dozen cups of coffee in a single sitting! I've never felt so energized!" Mikumo says, Viktor had told Inko that Izuku's implants, when they start to settle in, they would have something of an energizing effect on him, almost as if he had too much coffee, but that would eventually pass after he took the second hit from his inhaler, and got some rest. "Still, now I can actually become a hero with all of this!" He is smiling big, "And I can do it all while being Quirkless!"

Inko smiled, "I'm glad this experience has given you a sense of hope Miku… All this has been quite crazy but at least there's some good you can take from it! I must say I was worried with your ambitions to be a hero before… But I will always have faith in you no matter how worried you make me." Inko affirmed.

"Thanks mom, I really appreciate it!" However, that is when the door opens and everyone turns to see All Might walk through the door with his signature smile on his face. "A-A-All Might!"

"Young Midoriya, I had just gotten word from Toshinori that you've recovered, and I finally had a chance to slip away from the media in order to come visit you!" All Might says, He then closes the door behind him and then closes the blinds. "Now that that's taken care off…" He then powers down into his Small Might Form, and, much to Inko's shock, it is Toshinori Yagi from before!

"Mr-Mr Yagi?!" Inko yelped in surprise, she couldn't quite believe the man she had been talking to was THE All Might! The shock in her big green eyes was evident, she was too stunned to speak.

"Greetings, Mrs. Midoriya, I'm sorry about yesterday, but I didn't want to cause much of a stir, besides, I was still not at my best. Me suddenly appearing in my Muscle Form in the middle of the Hospital would've been bad." Toshinori explains, "Especially given Young Midoriya's present circumstances." He then clears his throat as he looks at Mikumo, "Kid… I came to thank you, and to make corrections on the mistake I made earlier this week. When we first spoke after you discovered my secret, I had thought that your idea was absolutely crazy, a Quirkless Individual becoming a Hero? It was a dream I once had, because, until somebody special came to me and gave me my Quirk, I had the same dreams as you." This shocked both Mikumo and Inko, "However, over the years, I had gotten so absorbed into my duties and my own troubles that I had completely forgotten who I once was, and who I wanted to be… Your actions that day completely reminded me of that." He then looks at Mikumo dead in the eye, "You asked me if a person like you, one without a Quirk could become a Hero… At first I had thought it was impossible given how I had to obtain one myself to become who I am today…" He then smiles…

"Then, in a situation where my powers weren't working, and all the other heroes in the area couldn't do anything to save that living weapon of mass destruction, you stepped up to the plate and attempted to save him, a shy boy without a quirk, and that reminded me of how I had met my benefactor for the first time. And how would you personally describe what happened? "That my body just moved on it's own"? That's the exact same thing that every True Hero in this world says whenever they act on their protective instincts for the first time! This is only possible if you have what it truly takes to be a hero…" He puts his thumb against his chest, right above his heart, "The Heart of a Hero… Midoriya Mikumo… My Boy…" The light shines through the windows and reflects off of Toshinori's piercing blue eyes, "I hope you can forgive a doubting fool, because now I know, without a shadow of a doubt… You can be a Hero too!" Mikumo hears these words sink deep into his soul as tears flow down his eyes and he begins crying with joy and relief.

Inko places an arm gently around Mikumo, tears gently streaming down her face. She was so happy, happier than she'd ever been the day since she discovered Miku was quirkless, because deep down in her heart she couldn't handle the thought of Miku's dreams being crushed and him trying anyways no matter what… He would only end up with more hope. Her heart for once was glazed with hope as she stared at her son proudly. Mikumo smiles at his mother as he calms down, "Alright, now I have a proposition for you, Young Midoriya…" Toshinori says, "As I told you once before, my powers are growing weaker and weaker… And as I just said, I started out Quirkless too. However, the time is coming where I will need to pass on my power to another individual, to pass on my Quirk, One For All…" He then looks to Izuku, "I was hoping that you might be up to taking it on…" Mikumo looks at his idol but then thinks about it, but shakes his head.

"In any other circumstance, I probably would have, but right now, I've gotten something just as good in my opinion, something that will allow me to become the first Quirkless Hero!" Mikumo says, smiling. "So I think I'll decline your offer, but, whoever you choose to have as your successor, All Might, I promise you that, as long as they aren't like Ka-" He almost says Bakugo's nickname, "Like Bakugo, then I'll support them wholeheartedly!"

Inko frowned, "Miku, is there something wrong with Katsuki? Well I guess Mitsuki did mention his temper problems…" Inko says.

"You don't know the half of it…" He then finally goes on a long bit of exposition that essentially boils down to this: Katsuki Bakugo has bullied, tormented, and tortured Mikumo for years, ever since Mikumo found out he was Quirkless, and Mikumo had been hiding it because he had no means of actually defending himself against him. That is when All Might sighs.

"So that is why Viktor and Tsukauchi gave me this…" He then brings out an envelope that was titled "For Mrs. Midoriya" and had Tsukauchi's number on it. When he hands it to Inko, she opens it to reveal pictures much old scars aside from Mikumo's more recent injuries, along with what appears to be a medical report that has been labeled as abuse, but the notes indicate Inko wasn't the one to do it, given her personality and her quirk, and that all the old tissue scarring and resilience of Miku's body pointing to severe blunt force trauma combined with extreme heat, equivalent to that of Nitroglycerin, but on a much smaller scale.

Inko's heart sank… She could feel her eyes go blurry as tears spilled over her cheeks. Her tear ducts red and raw, she brought her hands up to her face and she breathed through labored composure. She felt angry… And betrayed at the actions of her best friends son… How could such a bright boy turn into a menace terrorizing her son… "I-I… Miku, why did you never tell me?" She whispered with a clenched heart. "I could've done something…"

"The School covered up everything… Even when I told the Principal about it, he simply gave lip service about disciplining Bakugo and calling his parents, he never did… So while I think Mr. & Mrs. Bakugo knows about Katsuki's attitude and behavior, I don't think she knows everything…" Mikumo says, "Besides… Nobody would believe a Quirkless over boy with an extremely powerful and flashy quirk." Toshinori clenches a fist so hard his hand starts to bleed as he grits his teeth. "Add to this the fact that everyone at school is afraid of Bakugo that they refuse to speak up out of fear of him turning his anger on them. Added to this, Bakugo has a gang of other bullies in the school who hide behind him."

Inko was beyond pissed, she felt like marching straight into Miku's middle school and having a firm word with the staff body and hell, even the student body too. Her motherly instincts kicked into overdrive from hearing of Miku's suffering. "Oh believe me Miku, when I'm done with those bastards there will be nothing left of them." Her eyes scan Miku protectively. Mikumo is stunned, he rarely ever hears his mother curse, but when she does, he know it's time to just shut the fuck up and hide. However, this time, Mikumo smiles as he feels like this isn't one of those times to hide behind his bedroom door, but behind her instead. However, aside from that, he feels like things are about to get a lot better going forward.
