Thanks for reviewing! I typically write really quickly and short chapters with this sort of 'one-shot' style story. I hope to finish it soon

Of course, everyone began pestering it immediately when Kezh returned to its station on the trading floor. Frankly, The Korvax Scientist didn't take its collegues to be particularly interested in the biology of new species - but when they asked about The Traveller, Kezh would be remiss to share. It had been given permission to do... anything concerning The Traveller, but to share such personal information willy-nilly with those outside of this agreement seemed inconsiderate in the extreme. Hence, Scientist-Entity Kezh remained immovable concerning telling much of anything to its collegues, save for basic status of 'its' Traveller's health and endless promises that it would certainly introduce them to it when it was fit for company.

And it really was terribly inconsiderate of the residents of Mozath 23D's Space station to continually refer to The Traveller as belonging to Kezh! Did they not understand ownership implied slavery? Did they not understand what an anathema slavery was amongst those of his culture? Ah- perhaps not. The Organics were, in some ways, ingenious and intelligent. But in others, exceedingly stupid. The intelligence amongst members of the species varied so wildly, that Kezh sometimes wondered if the duller ones had somehow come from a prior evolutionary step. There was a certain level of grace Kezh needed to extend to the Organics... for in the same way it put up with their shortcomings, they put up with its.

But alas... Scientist-Entity Kezh was more than willing to bear the pesterings and indignities if only it could put away its work and head back to its quarters. According to his projections, The Traveller should soon gain consciousness, and it wanted to be present for the event. He had recorded a list of questions for it - yes, but in this case it was far more concerned with simply observing The Traveller's behavior. It wondered what that strange being would say? What race was it from? What were its customs? Why did it Travel? What did it seek? Was it lonely in its travels? Did it battle in this universe entirely disconnected?

(Good Night. A pleasure doing business)
(Grah-Grah-Grah-Grah)

All of these things swirled continually about in The Scientist's mind until all the employees of The Trading floor finished their tasks and filtered out to their personal chambers for rest and entertainment. It was only when there wasn't a single entity left on the polished glassy floors that Kezh trotted excitedly towards the Trade station and made a number of purchases. After all, it had already decided to craft a gift for The Traveller - it was a thought halfway fanciful and halfway simply for its own amusement, but Kezh did not think it would do any harm given there wasn't a single sentient race that despised gifts. What would The Traveller's reaction be? Hopefully, it'd allow Kezh to curry some favor with the mysterious entity. At least enough that it would once more show that intoxicating red glare that so often shook Kezh to its very core.

- BUY - Bolt of Silk - QTY:2 (SqU)

- BUY - Spiced Herbs - QTY 1 (BUNDLE)

- BUY - SUTURES KIT - QTY 1

- BUY - COTTON FILLING - QTY 1 (BUNDLE)

Scientist Entity Kezh chirped happily as the items were materialized in its inventory, and it quickly browsed through the remaining wares before something caught its eye. Its finger hovered, frozen, over:

-BUY- INTERGALACTIC GPS TRANSPONDER - QTY 1

Did he dare track The Traveller? This entity blessed by the Atlas's red glow, and following where The Atlas led? It hesitated, torn briefly between reverance, respect and curiosity, before firmly pressing the 'purchase' button and quickly purging the sales record. (As the only Korvax upon this space station, IT and records maintenance automatically fell to Kezh, with a significant pay raise, of course. He didn't make a habit of destroying records, but for this - he made an exception)

And with that... The Korvax Scientist merrily departed to its quarters, snatching a marker off his collegues desk as he did so.
