There was an explosion of red as David drove his fist through Daniel's midsection.
Daniel didn't waver in shoving him backwards, he acted like he hadn't been mortally wounded at all.
Not a good sign.
David's bloody hand grabbed a hold of Daniel's rib cage, cementing himself in place for the time being.
The lava boiling behind him did not appear to be burning David just yet, his shirt had caught fire.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
3 gunshots rang out and Daniel actually dropped to one knee.
Cameron Campbell stood beside Quartermaster with a huge golden pistol in his bear-like hands.
"Can I get a hand here?"
David managed as he shoved Daniel backwards, his shirt fire sputtering out on its own.
Quartermaster moved up, his hook taking Daniel in the neck, prying the man further backwards.
BANG!
Headshot.
Daniel dropped like a sack of wet cement.
The purple aura was fading slowly.
