Chapter 26
Izuku was on the boat looking down over his mentor. Each strike Izuku threw was barely dodged by Knuckleduster. In his comms the hero shouted "Do it now!". While the hero was distracted Izuku picked up the hero by his arm. The arm made a crushing noise as Izuku's hand closed around it, blood pouring over his fingers running from the misshapen limb. Izuku pulled his arm back and slammed the hero into the ground. The hero's arm was briefly released; he quickly rolled to the side standing up. Through the blood; the shattered remains of bone could be seen. Briefly upon the sight Izuku's eyes returned from white to green.
Knuckleduster saw this "come on kid fight it. You're going to be a hero don't lose to a villain"
The boy's eyes hardened white again as he approached the hero. Knuckleduster was in so much pain his body was shaking from adrenaline. His arm hanging limp to the side.
Izuku went to grab the hero with Knuckleduster barely moving in time. He wasn't fast enough; his limp arm had been grabbed. The injury was crushed again by Izuku's grip. Izuku lifted him with the arm as he tried to punch and kick Izuku to let go. One of his legs was grabbed and pulled. Knuckleduster could feel his joints click. As he looked at his arm he saw the skin begin to tear as his muscles were being cut like steak blood spewing from the capillaries. His arm was then held together only by his nerve ending and a few ligaments as they became visible his vision became blurry from the pain. The wind like daggers on his arm. He screamed a blood curdling sound as his nerves broke. He could hear the ligaments snap like a rubber band. His arm was thrown to the floor as he was lifted into the air.
Izuku held his mentor's torso while pulling his legs. The hero was nearly incoherent as he looked at the boy he trained. "It wasn't your fault. You have been like a son to me" the hero coughed blood onto the boy's face.
The hero's midsection began to tear as his internals began to fall onto his apprentice's face, dying the boy's hair crimson. The hero was ripped in half at the waist, his legs falling to the side. A final gasp could be heard "Izuku be a her…" the hero's eyes lost the shine as his final breath left his body. Izuku's eyes returned to the usual green. "Sensei No! Don't leave me. I'm sorry" the child screamed at his mentor's upper body between sobs. Izuku heard the voice of his father over the comms device in his sensei's ear "3, 2, I'm sorry son I love you" the voice stopped with a large explosion.
Outside of Izuku's head he had fallen to the floor clutching his head screaming he threw his helmet making the heavy metal device launch into a wall.
"What's happening!" Shouted Cementoss
"He's having a panic attack. Go get Midnight and Recovery girl" shouted Hawks the cement hero made his way there as fast as he could. Izuku began punching the ground. Stopping Eraserhead from getting near the train ground from the small quakes he caused Hawks tried but Izuku was in his glowing mode so it was nearly impossible for Hawks to snap him out of it. It took nearly 10 minutes till Midnight got there and she got carried to Izuku by Hawks. As they landed close to Izuku she went to release her gas but when Izuku saw her he stopped. They saw his tears, his hands covered in his blood. Once the tremors stopped she made her way to him and gave the boy a hug as he sobbed. Once he finished Midnight had to get changed from being soaked by his tears. Midnight was later told what had happened and she understood why he was upset he had a hard 24 hours.
Izuku was taken home after he was given the all clear from Recovery girl. Once he got home Hawks and Midnight comforted him until Izuku realised something. "Why's it so quiet?" Asked Izuku
"Green bean there's one here so it would be quiet" asked Hawks.
Midnight rose an eye in thought
"Where's Charlie?" Both heroes looked at each other. Realising neither knew Midnight immediately rang Aizawa to find out who didn't know either. They eventually rang Tsukauchi who found out a child was in hospital after the villain attack.
As it turned out Charlie was okay, he had been knocked unconscious by the villain. Once Izuku had collected his little brother the 3 year old immediately had his arms up to be picked up. Izuku held his brother, telling him it would be okay.
The funerals for Hidé, Mr Bakugo and His mom were small and informal. None of them were in any condition for an open casket and Izuku had to use the life insurance from his mom to pay for both her and Hidé's funerals. Hidé's family refused to go because of his quirkless status. It was only Izuku with Momo holding his hand while Mrs Jirou held Charlie.
After a week Kyoka was able to be released from hospital the physical injuries were easy to heal or at least most were. The mental impact was extreme. When she had heard what happened to Inko she broke down and when near Charlie she wouldn't let him out of her sight. Her parents had adopted Charlie until Izuku was old enough to become his legal guardian. Having the child around helped Kyoka cope and her parents loved having a toddler around the house.
Momo did what she could for Izuku but he wasn't in a good place and Momo didn't really know what to do to help. She convinced him to go to therapy. The two went on a date to Sir Nighteye's agency. Momo's thought process was Allmight was one of Izuku's favourite heroes so going to his former sidekicks agency would be the next best thing. At the agency Izuku met Bubblegirl and a second year UA student calling himself Lemillion they also got a brief meeting with Sir Nighteyes who surprisingly had more Allmight merch than Izuku. Izuku saw a poster on the wall and was fanboying and muttering constantly. When he got to shake hands with Sir Nighteye he almost passed out. As they shook hands the hero frowned as he noticed the cuffs. "What happened?" He asked.
Izuku was hesitant to explain but when he briefly mentioned the incident, Nighteye realised and gave his apologies and wished the best for the two in the future.
Izuku lived on his own in the apartment. Fatgum, Midnight and Crawler all offered a place for him to stay but he wanted Charlie to have somewhere to live when he grows up.
