I messed up. Sorry for leaving you all hanging again. I just don't have it in me to continue this story. Instead I'll give you an outline of things I had in mind for the narrative. Hopefully this makes up for it. I know quite a few of you were genuinely interested in seeing Pitou again. Sorry.

- What happened to her nen?: Gon used Restriction and Covenant to remove Pitou's nen instead of becoming an adult. This resulted in Gon losing his own nen but accidently forging a psychic connection with Pitou. Only Pitou can sense the connection at first but whenever Gon reminisces about the events of the CA arc Pitou feels his anger and rage towards her which takes the form of the Phantom version of Gon each time. Being an "anomaly" of nature, Pitou lacks a true understanding on complex human emotions. Her cat personality clashes with her human and ants personality (which was showcased in the actual CA arc). I wanted to explore that a bit with her eventually figuring out why Gon was so angry with her and getting in touch with her human side some ore.

- Pitou becoming human: I was of the belief that Hisoka's personality test for nen users had some merit. Specialization nen(which Pitou had) which means she is independent and charismatic and possibly a very social creature. With her lacking nen her personality would develop some cracks in it which may effect her psyche. With her lacking nen she would question why she no longer wanted to eat humans and instead opt to eat food that humans would eat. Without a king to protect she had no need to be as hostile as she used to be. She saw firsthand how much Komugi meant to Meruem, so because of that she thought that humans deserved a chance to be understood rather than be used as cattle as the King originally planned. The changes weren't suppose to be immediate but my writing abilities are lacking and therefore I kind of conveyed it as Pitou being a completely different character rather than who we all know and love her to be.

- Kite's role in the story: Kite was going to join forces with Pitou in order to help establish the new Chimera ant Kingdom, he would also use his connections within the Hunter Association to ensure the safety of the Chimera ants who were still occupying Diego's palace(in my story the Hunter association neglected to take custody of the palace but did in fact turn NGL into a nature reserve. Rogue Chimera Ants that were non-hostile would be classified as Magical beasts but Pitou would have been a target once the association found out she was still alive. Because Kite's new body is the twin sister of Meruem I would've liked to explore a complex dive into what his/her new personality would've been like. Pitou would have initially been wary of Kite because her aura was the same as the King's though to a lesser extent.

The weird shit: I'll be honest, I don't remember what I had planned for the awkward nonsense in Chapter 11. I apologize for wasting your time. I'd also like to apologize for being cringe with the random jokes and forced unfunny memes into the story. I was in a different headspace when I implemented those, now I cringe every time I reread what I wrote.

Gon forgiving Pitou and becoming her friend: I'm a shipper at heart and I like unusual dynamics so my bias is always screaming at me to ship Pitou and Gon together. I know it's weird but that's how my brain works, regardless I had no intention to ship them in the story, though I wanted them to be on friendly terms and develop a deep friendship over time. This was moreso for Pitou's redemption rather than just Gon's feelings about her. If Gon could forgive Pitou I think a lot of interesting story potential could have been born from that. A nen exorcist would remove the restriction and covenant from Pitou and restore her nen. Gon ends up getting extremely ill because of this and Pitou could sense something was wrong with him. Kite would take Pitou to whale island where they re-establish a connection with him. Gon would initially be hostile towards her but he'd be too weak to fight against her. Pitou would prostrate and apologize to Gon again, she offers her life to atone. Gon would acknowledge that Kite came back so he would temporarily forgive Pitou for what she did to him. Mito would mistake Pitou for a friend of Gon and force Gon to get along with her in an awkward manner. The two eventually get closer and understand each other a lot more than they previously has a chance to. Gon would eventually move to East Gorteau in order to train with Pitou and the others and figure out a way to get his nen back despite his father's warnings.

Pitou becoming Queen: Once the royal guard was fully trained I wanted to have some individual action scenes showcasing how capable each one of them were. Jagren was originally meant to be an Enhancer, Hippotsu a Conjurer and Inuka a Transmuter. A monarch needs retainers and the only reason why I made these OCs is to give Pitou a set of companions to support her. I didn't want them to have too much screentime(lol what screen?) so I tried to be as vague about them as individuals as possible, however I had an arc planned about the eternal rivalry between cats and dogs and how it would've affected Pitou and Inuka's relationship. It was going to be a short and comical story arc, nothing too serious. Pitou would officially be invited to be allowed to attend V5 meetings. This way they can keep the established connection with NGL and East Gorteau despite Diego being "dead" to the public. East Gorteau would remain a Republic with Pitou as the new official ruler. Knov and Morel would be livid to find out that Pitou is ruling let alone still alive. However given Knov's condition he is not able to exact revenge, so they commission rogue Chimera ants that used to work for Gyro in order to eliminate her once and for all. These would be the canon fodder that Pitou and her retainers would fight against primarily. Eventually Knov and Morel would get caught by the association and are dealt with accordingly. Morel stands by his decision and refuses to trust Pitou under any circumstances and ultimate leaves the association. Knov doesn't follow him. Killua and Alluka would learn that Gon is living with Pitou which concerns him but he concedes the fact that he trusts Gon and will leave him to his own decisions. He'll only come if Gon asks him too.

The dark continent: I wanted to have the story end by having Pitou and all of her supporters, Gon, Kite, Killua, Alluka, and many more heading to the dark continent to find out more about Chimera ants as a species and leave it as an open ending. How I was going implement that? Does it really matter?

There's a bit more I'd like to share but I think I'll refrain for now. Thank you all for bearing with me all of this time. I'm moving on from this clumsily written story. I appreciate each and every one of you.
