Sarutobi sat restlessly in his office, pondering the delicate relationship between Konoha and the Uchiha clan. As a leader, he was keenly aware of the teachings of the Prophet and the wisdom they offered.

Recalling Surah Al-Mu'minun (Chapter 23), Verse 96 (23:96), he couldn't help but reflect on its significance: "Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend." These words encouraged responding to hatred or enmity with acts of goodness and kindness, with the hope of transforming adversaries into allies.

When it came to conducting business with the Uchihas, he questioned whether he had made any mistakes in the past. He remembered the Hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari: "Do not nurse grudge and do not bid each other out for raising prices and do not hate one another and do not enter into commercial transactions when the others have entered, and be as fellow-brothers and servants of Allah." To his recollection, they had always maintained fair and equitable economic relationships with the Uchihas.

Sarutobi's thoughts drifted back to the wisdom of the First Hokage, who had emphasized treating the Uchiha clan as if they were his own relatives rather than a former enemy clan. He recalled the Hadith: "Shall I not tell you something by which Allah erases sins and elevates ranks in Paradise?" The companions had eagerly responded, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet had replied, "Maintaining good relations with relatives and treating them kindly, and preventing hatred for those who are your relatives."

Yet, despite all these teachings and efforts, Sarutobi couldn't help but wonder if the deep-seated issues between Konoha and the Uchihas would ever be resolved peacefully. The prospect weighed heavily on his mind as he sought a path towards reconciliation.

Unbeknownst to him, Itachi had made a very pragmatic choice to save his clan's reputation, Konoha's safety, and Sasuke's future. He did this by preventing any attempts from his clan to self-destruct and by joining the Akatsuki, where he served as Konoha's spy. Although he would forever be branded by the people as a heartless lunatic who killed his entire clan and became a rogue assassin, abandoning his little brother.
