Princess Mina of the Carmilla Clan was upset beyond reprieve.

Many times she found herself vexed by something or someone that failed to stand up to her expectations. This time, however, the issue was not a specific item or individual- ignoring the fact that the bastard Gasper had clearly been aware that her role as a 'Prime Minister' would set her up to face a wave of paperwork that was born from a mixture of her own clan's situations plus those from the Tepes clan.

The very saving grace was that the Tepes clan was mostly a bunch of whiners through their requests, some of which easily discarded- the real issue, as Gasper had alluded in their first and latest visit, was indeed the small groups of dissenters and agitators that were keen to see the Carmilla's traditional leadership subverted.

While Mina had barely stomached the news she had to push for reformation, the fact that this was already discouraging most of the troublemakers from continue with their plotting was enough to render this sacrifice worthwhile. Plus, the importance she gained to act on the many issues her mother had told her in the last few years felt refreshing.

Cracking the whip shouldn't be feeling so good for someone that wasn't into that sort of stuff. Yet Mina loved to see badmouthers and inefficient morons getting the short end of the stick. Legally-speaking, she was limited by the 'new constitution', but the piece of paper gave her so many powers to establish good trials that she tended to stack those to her convenience.

She was definitely going to put amendments to prevent any successors to pull this sort of loopholes once she was out of office, but the idea of giving these bastards the same medicine they forced many to swallow for their own selfish gains was immensely pleasurable.

To the point that Mina's own irritation at Gasper was mixed with a growing sense of admiration and also lust. That being said, she couldn't blame herself. Her mother described this feeling as 'attractive aura'. Usually, when it comes to power, some individuals were able, even unconsciously, to manifest a certain 'air' about themselves that made them attractive. Charisma helped a lot too, but power was the main source of most things in this wild world.

And poor Mina was quite upset that her wet dreams were no longer about hunks but about that bratty-looking bastard. It really didn't help that he was also a womanizer and that his ladies were so happy to share and care among each other. It even made things worse when Mina realized her own mother was contemplating a 'thank you' bedding session.

The old bat was as old as she could be to give in to that sort of pleasure- she should let her daughter take the hit for once.

That thought would leave her blushing for a full day, especially when it constantly keep on reminding her of her own virgin depravity. As a petite lady, Mina never stood a chance to claim a proper mate. And the sight of that busty gal that was Lady Tepes was outrageous. Truly a lucky lady, and one that was even worse than Gasper.

At least, the young man wasn't pestering her to be close and huggy. Valerie (or 'Val') was extremely touchy-feely, and her touching always left poor Mina revved up with the expectation of more... while also refusing to go beyond that. The wife of Lord Tepes-Vladi was indeed a cunning seducer, one that made the Carmilla's Princess contemplate her own sexuality despite having spent years hoping for a manly companion.

Beyond that big parenthesis, Mina's work was bearable. It was a job, it was meant to be exhausting, but it also gave her the opportunity to build her 'bones' for the role of ruling over part of the kingdom on her own once she was done with this Prime Minister job in a few years.

She wasn't totally sold on the whole election thingy since that was going to brew some interestingly new dynamics, but those very dynamics may also highlight the glaring issues she was finding through the reports from her mother. She knew there had been rebels, just not this many and some of which with important positions in the main clan.

Purging them was going to be painful, but the 'National Budget' gave her a fat purse of coins to use and fix the various cracks left and right. She wasn't planning to make any deficit as she doubted it was even possible with the kind of money she was given availability, but Mina was going to press hard to fix the 'political issue' first.

Time was of essence, and her burning loins could wait a few more months to get this big mess sorted out. Plus, she had a growing feeling that Gasper's distracted looks in those last few days were not the kind of expression one would think a lustful man would have.

Oh no, he was plotting and already moving to achieve something quite big for the world as a whole.

Cao Cao loved the idea of being a proper hero.

Sure, many would think he was doing it for personal recognition, but the current situation he was stuck with favored the wonderful vision of a true Hero Faction helping the world. The sight of Zekram Bael's body, butchered by the combined forces of the Heroes and rendered unable to be retrieved for 'resource-harvesting' by the more dangerous elements of the Underworld allowed him to feel truly great.

The months-long planning had gone flawlessly. No one was killed or majorly injured, and the Underworld had yet to hand out a decision on what to do with them as they escaped capture and made it back to their established safehouse in the Vladi's land.

The entire operation had pended on three major variables: 1) The Feasibility of Killing Zekram Bael; 2) The Feasibility of showing the True Colors of House Bael after the event; 3) The Feasibility of Escaping without warranting a major criminal record from the entire Christian Pantheon.

The end result of having all those major points planned out was a masterful work that Cao Cao grinned eye-to-eye for.

Le Fay had been granted the means to learn of ways to neutralize High Demonic Powers such as the Power of Destruction the Bael Clan was renowned for; with that threat neutralized, the battle proceeded through what information they had over Zekram.

His battles were chronicled within the oldest tomes available in the Underworld's libraries, but some careful purchases had seen them getting their hands on those. The information gained gave them some insight of the kind of threat Zekram was going to be in the long-distance, but pleased them all as he was far from experienced in facing direct confrontations of the short-ranged kind.

With this information, battle plans were established, training was hardened and the end result was a strike force that was ready to face one of the most dreadful monsters in the Underworld as a whole. And when the attack on the Bael Clan started, Cao Cao had begrudgingly abided by Gasper's rule of 'not killing any other Bael'.

The idea was less about playing on 'they are just innocent people', but rather a matter of 'moral coherence'. If their plan was to attack Zekram, and they ruined his legacy with the papers they had retrieved, then killing those that weren't involved in this scheme would only do more harm than good for the 'Public Relations'. And as much as it pained him to admit, Cao Cao knew the Dhampir had not missed with this idea.

The first news that came after the battle were promising as every single member that had partecipated listened actively to the end result. In what Cao Cao felt was a 'first', the entire Hero Group was excited for what was being told in the Underworld's tabloids.

Pure chaos, starting with the news of Zekram's death followed by a pause from those that would swiftly lick the Bael's boot to commemorate this passing and call for the murder of the perpetrators as the various documents left behind, an entire wall of proof at that, showed the horrid reality of the situation.

The Four Satans were put through the very meaning of mediatic hell over their awareness on the matter as the Peerage Scandal saw major repercussions on the rebellious factions within the 72 Pillars, and while none went on to admit the truth, they accepted 'removing those with strong ties to the Bael Clan from positions of power'.

A big blow was that Sairaorg Bael decided to take his mother's maiden name and become Sairaorg Vapula as he demanded the woman's divorce from his father by sparring him in a vicious battle. The power move further dug the Bael Clan as the flurry of news continued to go without rest through the next two days.

The next big hit, and what many defined as the final nail to the Bael Coffin, was the decision of Venelana Gremory to dissociate herself from the Bael Clan and reject any claim she may have over the Clan's throne after the Phenex Clan had rescinded the contract of bethrotal between Rias Gremory and Riser Phenex.

While Lord Bael, the 'official leader', tried to make things work, accusations of the legal kind put his efforts in a binder as any chance to fix this mess, regardless the political capital burned through it, was hardly moving to fix it. And as the Underworld faced this big of a crisis, Cao Cao realized that Gasper's message adding that 'they were not the only one' had a deeper meaning beyond the politics of Hell.

As Hell faced a society-changing crisis, Grigori was also soon undergoing a similar crisis. This time, it was the plot of the Fallen Angel Kokabiel to try and spark a new Great War. A civil war erupted in that situation which led to some serious developments on Earth's governments that were supportive of the Fallen Angels.

But it was the 'Fall of Heaven' that baffled Cao Cao the most. Longinus was, after all, sired in such a place, and to learn that the news of God's death had hit the church out of the blue fully showed one thing about Gasper that he had not considered for a long while.

"W-Why did you do all of this? What do you gain out of it?" He had asked, he had wanted a concrete answer to call him a monster.

What he got was far worse than he had expected.

"Peace," He had calmly ruled. "If Hell weeps, then the others celebrate. If all of them weeps, no one will."

"What about the other Gods?"

"Too risky," The dhampir had rebuked. "After all, Indra will not strike when Shiva is paying attention to this too."

And any thought of betrayal left Cao Cao as he finally saw Gasper's true monstrosity. He was not a mindless beast seeking the blood of others, he was the one that was willing to burn the world if this one was too broken for his liking. A bratty child with too much power, but enough control to make him a fairly better alternative to what the other Gods were all about.

He wasn't seeking power, for he had enough to make everyone bow. The fact he received Cao Cao while headpatting the cat-version of Ophis was enough to push the message across and leave Cao Cao relieved he was in the 'winning side' of history.

The questions of this being the right path for him would have to be hurled elsewhere for the time being. Just like catching Arthur Pendragon and his lady-wife enganging in aggressive cuddling with the female variant of King Arthur from another dimension.

That also being a baffling circumstance Gasper was responsible for.

AN

The pure amusement of injecting Cao Cao with dopamine and then fucking scaring him shitless is eternal within my soul.

Still, I can say that two more chapters are left: 1) the Oyakodon chapter, and 2) the 'Epilogue'.
