[Autor-san: ainz in the world of OPM, I know right wasn't expecting this either. Kinda just popped in my head so I just said. Why Not. Dont know all that much of the key factors ,example like, Who is God exactly in opm, what is blast's mission, but hey who cares about those small things. (I do). For heres a chapter basically of ainz accidentally becoming the 'God' they fear and hate within the show.[slight tiny au] [Overlord and One punch Man is NOT mine]
"Well, it's been a blast." came the lone words drifting within the darkness.
Apon, the obsidian throne ,a skeletal figure layered with violate clothes seeming to be cut from the darkness of space. Its white porcelain fingers chained with nine rings sparkling with eldricht power.
Its red flaming eyes gazing off to the distance, looking not down the halls but to the distant past.
Ding-...
The silence is broken by the ring of a digital bell. He lifts his clawed hand to open the massage. His eyes sparked anew at the interference.
[Congrats on The End]
The title lits up showing the icons, usually when one completes a quest or mission. He taps on it, seeing it to be a message directly from the dev interface.
[Wow, Player! Even when the land crumbles and dies, the air screeching with pain and the very water set a blaze. You still will not leave?...]
The message shows a Tik Box at the end, awaiting an answer of either yes or no. He can't help but feel a bit mad for them to interrupt his final moments. The last time he would be with his guild, the tomb, his everything.
All they have built. He wanted to tik the exit button instead of one of their boxes, but... why should he? The game is, anyways gonna end. Everything will disappear no matter what he does. It's all... Pointless.
[You still will not leave?...]
The message was mocking. It knew his true answer, and yet they still asked. They must be watching him and having a field day from him sitting and staring at this dumb question.
"You know what, yes. Even now. Even if all the world enemies, all the mobs, and all the players teamed up to take us down. I will ALWAYS stay." He says with a voice of unyielding determination.
He clicks the yes box, awaiting some splash of confetti, or a forced log out or something. Instead, it flipped the page and gave him an actual response.
[Hmmm? I see. So even if the world burns out and dies, even if God himself abandoned it. You would still stay. I must say, Player. Im flattered you would love this little game of us so much. All the others Merely Press no and went on with their farewells, but you didn't]
Well... that's surprising. The Shitty-devs were... actually... not being shitty. This, in all honesty, felt like an actual... goodbye. An actual last hoora for the end.
[As for staying in this doomed world, even when all of the world itself has abandoned it, we give you this, player. Or I guess, Momonga...]
The botom coner of his interface, he sees the digital gift box jumping for his attention. After clicking it, it bursts into golden sparks. Leaving only behind a familiar ring.
[Gift: The Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown...]
First, he drooped a bit from the sheer audacity of the devs to gift him something he basically had a hundred of. Secondly, his eyes widened, and he may have forgotten to breathe, as when he looked at the info showing the item data and flavor text. He was mildly shocked, to say the least.
[Info: World Item. Ring worn of the Supreme Being from a forgotten world...]
"wha-wha... What the HELL?" He wasn't expecting this. This was-was... unexpected, something not befit of the devs he learned to hate.
But now that he thinks about it, what does it matter. When the timer ends, it's just all gonna disappear.
[00:00:05]
"Dang it, not even the necessary time left to use it."
Without having time to look further on the flavors text, he rips off the old one and slides on the new golden ring apon his white boney finger.
[00:00:03]
"Well..."
[00:00:02]
"At least, i Will be departing with my final souvenir."
[00:00:01]
"Long Live... Ainz Ooal Gown."
[00:00:00]
With the clock striking zero. Ainz Oal Gown... Has departed from the world.
Gorou, the pinnacle of a monster.
When most hope was lost at the sight of evil before them, it was quickly cut short. In this timeline, it wasn't cosmic Gorou to bring the heroes to their knees but it only took the overpowering presence of the monster he has become.
For a split second, some thought they could have seen the appearance of some yellow-dressed man appearing and disappearing from the scene
A gigantic shockwave was heard and the only thing left was a severely injured Gorou, his monster form once again crumbling away.
Surrounded and hurt, things weren't looking good. He barely could register what happened or how he even lost.
It was even very similar to that time he wished to face off against King, only waking up afterward to a broken wall and a massive headache.
"Cough-Damn... well, isn't this just -cough crap." spoke gorow in-between his splatter of blood.
Things weren't looking so good for him. His body was more severely beaten than he had imagined. Things were looking bad as he was surrounded by practically almost a dozen heroes and that privileged bastard Amai Mask was his self-appointed executioner. That rug rat brat from before seemed to give him a bit of time to recover, but it wouldn't be enough of a distraction to just slip away.
"Leave Uncle ALONE!" Oh, those words just cause him more damage than any dragon-level threat ever would with the amount of cringe it carries. He told him over and over not to call him that, the only thing it was doing now was making him just feel old as hell.
But he may have to forget his mental despair and focus on getting as far away as possible.
He won't lie. These heroes were nothing but fauder ,it was the one slowly approaching that was unnerving him.
King.
Within his arms was an injured Tatsumaki. Maybe with her, he can make an exit as King most likely can't fight at full strength while protecting her also. Of course, that's only what his hoping for.
The last time he attacked King, he could barely remember what happened, and now his current level isn't all that different with all his injuries. His practically bound to lose. The whole monster association has been annihilated, so a monster distraction won't be showing up anytime soon.
Bump*Bump*Bump*Bump*
"What is that sound?"Wait!?"It CAN'T BE!?" The heroes all look to the source of the rumblings."KING!?"
Finally taking notice, they see King standing ominously with the small esper in his grasp. They all part before him, making a path for the strongest man to cross."Fuck fuck need to think of something quick... I'm losing too much blood and I'm too disoriented to even stand...I'm-I'm... Losing...co-consciousness ... Fuck"
With his mind slipping he can't help but feel hate, anger, frustration. He was supposed to be the ultimate evil. The big bad that no hero can win against. But look now, he was dead, he lost, it's over.
"So its power you seek?"
The sudden Ominous voice invaded his mind, it was deep and ancient, but most of all... unsettling.
As the words were spoken it was as if time itself stopped in its wake. Looking up, Gorou could barely see the figure as it was shrouded in a suffocating darkness. From the red burning eyes, He could see it lift a skeletal hand toward him. The presence could only have been amounted to something as divine. No one else seemed to notice this presence as he gazed Gorou up and down. He only could mumble the faint words of what might be infront of him.
"G-God?"
"What the -!?" exclaimed Momonga at the new scenery. He was somehow completely motionless yet also moving. The odd surroundings weren't helping against the odd feeling he was having. He was currently standing, or flying? He wasn't sure which but he was moving true this dark inter-dimensional space.
The only thing he could amount it to was when he passed true a [Gate] spell, but it never took this long to get to his destination. The only time it even needed a loading period like this was if he was to switch realms within Yggdrasil.
"Wait. Does that mean I'm switching to another server? It would technically make sense. But I thought all the servers were shutting down. Unless."He raised his hand, the newly acquired ring shining in his grasp. He can't help but get the thought of hope in his mind.
"Would the devs perhaps release a Yddrassil 2 or something? No no, they couldn't have kept it so well hidden...but, if they did."
His Player instincts were tingling for the chance at a new adventure. With their gift, they were perhaps also intended to announce their new game to the loyal players who stayed until the end. His thoughts were interrupted by an ear-shattering screeching sound near him. At his left, he could see these things with very questionable appearances clawing at the other lair of his gateway.
They were dark creatures seeming to have distorted forms, constantly shifting."Wait, don't tell me? Is this a demo experience?"He raises his hand for a talk with the GMs to find out if this is true, only to realize his interface is missing. Not given any time to ponder its whereabouts, the black creatures break true the spacial-like barrier, leaving an abyssal hole behind.Within only a few seconds, dozens of them clawed their way in charging toward him. In this situation, his years of gaming instantly kicked in and released a pre-set of spells for the occasion if he was ever ambushed.
Most of them only restrained type spells as they only achieved freezing the dark beasts. Even so, he didn't let up as he let loose several more spells, betting on the chance for them to be weak to fire-type spells.
If their inky completion is anything to go by, fire is indeed a weakness as they soon seem to spiral in agony from it.
"[Detect Life] [Detect Mana]"
He takes the opportunity to gauge his enemies and see what he is dealing with. The results were a bit, odd to say the least. His black inky friends were in fact, health-less. He can't say the same for the mana tough as it was way more than he expected.
It wasn't close to his, but it was that the Mana seemed to function as something of a health bar. The more the creatures burned, the more their mana dropped, he should know as the rate at which it drops is the same as the damage the spell does over time.
"More importantly... What is that?"
He looks up to the expanding hole these creatures have created, their mana auras extending out to the dark abyss. From his eyes, it seemed to be reaching out or connected to something else.
"...[Fly]" He drifts up, completely ignoring the wild beasts beneath, coming closer to the dark hole leading to an unknown.
The unknown. Something that has brought fear and excitement to his ears. He lifts his hand to slowly reach out within the darkness. The moment his boned hand passes true, he sees the waves and shades of white it leaves behind.
The only thing he can mount it to is if someone were to place their hand within the water while riding along the ocean tide. The moment only lasts a second as he sees a discrepancy within the colors.
His newly acquired Ring was leaving a trail, unlike the rest of his hand. The shaded red from the ruby impeded in it leaves the flow of color similar to a trail of blood for a predator to smell and seek.
The longer he stares into the abyss, the more he feels so calm and undisturbed. His mind slowing down and- Reseting. An instant feeling of refresh washes over him to reset hus train of thought.
The sudden change of mind leaves him a bit surprised at first but even that surprise is shortly after suppressed too. He gets back to a rational mind, finally realizing the oddity of what's going on.
While he was rethinking his current situation, the space tunnel shifts and turns. The half-dead creatures tumble about, the fire spell no longer in effect. He looks once more at their mana signatures and sees that the tunnel has shifted in the direction of where their auras were also pointing.
A small spec was finally making itself known in the distance. From his position he could tell that right now, the game would have already qued the boss music by now.
The current spec was white but right behind it was an even bigger one colored blue. The two were unmistakable. They were headed to earth... He thinks?
He won't lei, The similarities are there but he is pretty sure earth's geography and continents weren't that...odd.
"Also, aren't we flying a bit too close to the moon? We might wanna take a small tilt to the left don't yeah think? And... What is that dark spot on the moon anyway?"He leans a bit forward, squinting his nonexistent eyes at the peculiar hole, covering roughly almost a third of the moon. The Hole was getting a bit clearer as they moved closer and closer.
The distance eventually became no less than a couple of kilometers which was all good and great, the only problem being... THIS THING WASN'T SLOWING DOWN!It felt even as though it was speeding up the more they came close to it, he could see the gigantic hole increasing in size the closer they got.
Feeling like something was way more than just amiss, he decided to do the only sensible thing, teleport the hell away.
"Well this has been fun and all but, [Gate]"
Without wasting a moment, he makes his quick exit by diving true the swirling pool of darkness, only coming out about several meters away from the moon hole.
He looks at the black creatures as they make their way down the darkness. Soon he felt their 'life' signatures were snuffed out.
He steps forth to the hole, staring down at what would have been his inevitable fate.
"What... Is there something... down there?" His dark vision could make him see even in places where all light was absent, but something was obscuring him somehow.
He can definitely see that there is an outline of something, but what?
"Okay this is probably a dumb idea, but what the hell. If this is a demo-play then gotta enjoy it to the fullest. [Discern-Enemy]"
The sudden words of power dispersed a ripple true the very fabric of reality itself. For some reason, the unfathomable being of all its ancient existence... it ...it was... feeling... something.
A foreign presence, a foreign existence. The sudden flow of ancient power rejoining and expanding his stiff rustic limbs seemed to not just re-sparked its mind but its being.
It was first put off by the drifting smell of a freshly tasteful world, something that almost appeared out of nothing. Not even he could sense the true origins of this sudden existence.
But the very obvious burst of flavor it was giving was unmistakable, it was a world drifting within an abyss. When it was rapidly approaching he could see that somehow this world was not as expansive as the rest. Instead, it was compressed down to nothing but a small ruby on the finger of an even peculiar existence.
It was able to utilize the same teleportation trick that, that small man was capable of. All though the outcome was the same, the energy was completely different. This being was nothing like all the other mortal creatures it had seen.
This being was giving of not just the air of a divine creature, but multiple divine creatures. Its entire body, adorned with the corpses of its slain prey, all the leaking power completely alien from the rest of existence.
He has seen creatures of similar existence but what truly caught its eyes was the red orb within its abdomen. Not a compressed world, but a universe of an eldricht existence.
But now gazing quietly at the creature's form, it can sense that even that pales in comparison to the original scent it gave off from its arrival. As the creature looks within the building blocks of its making, he can also gaze within the making of its intruder.
"Hmm... The... Eclipse."
The name seems fitting for a creature such as this, to Eclipse its own form with jewels akin to the worlds of old.
Truly an existence to tread lightly, but even so, his hunger was undeniable. The red jeweled ring, it was unmistakable. A world- No not just a world but multiple. All compressed into one.
"...hmm..four...forty-one to be exact.. Yes, This will quench my thirst and I will be able to regain the necessary strength to leave this plane of existence. "
With its resolve and determination, its words weren't a statement but a final judgment. It slowly twisted and turned its old joints to once more claim what is his. The forty-one world's WILL be his.
"Oh shit-shit... Like I knew they were gonna go out with a hoorah, but this."
Momonga was floating atop the dark hole, although his demeanor came off as calm and collected, he was far from it.
"W-World... A world-enemy." Well, seems the next stage of this little game is something he definitely won't be seeing. He knew the devs were shitty, he was expecting something as dumb as this. To have the final boss be a world enemy. An entity that took not parties or raids of players, but literal guilds to take down. Not only that but the boss's name was even titled 'God'. "I'm practically fighting a losing match with this one. One hit from this type of thing and I would be good as dead."
Not only that, but it seems his presence has activated the next event. From the elevated spot, he could see it twist and turn inside the hollow moon.
He first wondered how big it may be up close but decided against that. If this was a boss battle, then he might as well treat it like all the rest.
"[Detect Life[Detect Mana]"
He cast the same spells awaiting them to be automatically deflected and to follow up with something else, but instead, the spells connected. Before his eyes, or more or less in his mind, he sees the values before him.
To say they were bonkers would be putting it lightly. The world enemy, simply known as 'God', was... weirdly balanced. Just like the black inky creatures he 'fought', this world-enemy had immense amounts of mana, even making his supply look like a puddle next to the tsunami of power it holds.
Momonga wasn't at all surprised by the literal game-breaking mana it had considering it is a world-ending boss, but what truly made him question its title was its health. To say it gently, it was pathetic.
Not to the degree that it was smaller than his, to his calculations it would be almost five times the amount he had. But that was it, usually, all World Enemies had a massive health pool. That was the one quality you can guarantee to see from them.
"All tough, it seems to be gaining hp at a steady pace. This is a world enemy we are talking about so... it may constantly raise its hp during the fight. Making it a battle of endurance. Well sorry big guy, but I never was one for playing it fair."
Momonga seeing the true threat it can pose, takes this not as a battle but a gamble. He lifts his slim-boned hand while rubbing the golden ring of his guild. For an honorable occasion such as this, he won't be fighting as Momonga, but as the whole Ainz Oal Gown.
"It's best to stack the odds as much as I can in my favor. Seems a few of these things will finally gain their use." He lifts his arm to access his inventory, gliding his hand into a dark vortex and seeming to project all of it directly within his mind.
"That's... well new. I forgot I had this on me when the shutdown happened." Out of the vortex, comes a handful of scrolls, gems, items but most importantly, a golden serpent staff of power. The mark of their guild and making.
"Well guess it's time to pull out all the stops, actually, maybe I can finally figure out what this could do."
He looks down at the world item and guild ring, he halfway forgot it was technically a world item now. The effects of it are still a bit of a mystery. With a lack of interface, which he still has to look into, he instead casts [Greater Appraisal] to learn the workings of it."Hmmm... ring of ainz oal gown... blah-blah blu... forty-one... what the-" he stops midway with his musing and looks down to the ring with a bit of panic.
"That's a bit... unexpected, but I guess it is a world item after all. Seems it truly does carry the hole of Ainz Oal Gown..." He rubs it carelessly in thought, a phantom smile creeping up to his face.
"Cough, alright back to business. Seems he has been making his move while I've been daydreaming."
The colossus of a creature has moved exponentially, its body was almost fully positioned to finally climb out from the moon. Momonga takes and uses every scroll he has within his hands, every spell and buff he can remember, and every item he deems useful.
The rainbow of colors soon cooled down around him, his body optimal for truly anything the enemy might throw.
"Let's start this big shall we..."
He glides to the center and spreads his arms as one would to greet a friend. Only the movement doesn't feel friendly at all. With the golden staff in one hand and the golden ruby ring on the other, they glow with the eldritch power of old. The moon seemed to be eclipsed by a darkness of maddening origin.
The first task was to deal with the health pool and drain as much as possible. Maybe a super-tier spell will- actually... he got something a bit more powerful than a simple super tier spell..
"It's probably dumb to use it this early in the fight.. but it would probably not give me a chance to do it later. It's best to hit it while it's down, as they say"
He raises the golden ring, making it glimmer in the moons' rays. The ruby sparks to life, sending out a red light akin to a beacon for others.
"This one for you, Ulbert! You crazy bastard. I guess it's time to 'SCORCH EARTH!' Or I guess the moon. Doesn't matter.""Skill: Release... [Grand-Catastrophe]"
"Blast, did you feel that?" asked the humanoid lion, speaking in a royal voice yet having a noble bearing.
"That... energy ...was no doubt..." Blast looks up to the sky, gazing towards the silver moon, though his eyes widen when he sees it.
Instead of a white moon, he sees a red shade eclipsing it. It now being more akin to a bloody eye gazing down. The obvious circular cracks make it seem like a demonic eye even more.
"I don't understand, we have secured the black box, so..." A feminine voice intervenes, all the figures appearing as astral ghosts surrounding Blast. "It couldn't have out-putted such amounts of energy in its weakened state. Something is wrong."
"Should we check it out Blast?" asked the lion man. Blast stares at the moon shortly after only giving a small nod.
"Let's go."He pockets the small black box before opening a black substance within space, soon disappearing in it.
"hugh...hugh.." Momonga huffed from the great release of his destructive spell, well more of Ulbert's spell but that doesn't matter right now. Soon catching his breath, even though he doesn't need to breathe, he looks down to the red-tinted ground.
The spell [Grand Catastrophe] was extremely powerful in causing as much damage as possible but even so, the spell would leave the battlefield covered in red flames akin to [hellflare].
From all the scrolls, cash items, and boosts, the damage was almost practically doubled. And the burn effect left after will cause about 30% damage of the original value over time. He doesn't have to worry about draining his MP because of it, as he used the ring of ainz oal gown as a catalyst.
In Yddrassil this would have been able to one-shot most raid bosses, but this was no simple boss, he was facing a world-enemy. He could see that the attack was able to be concentrated within the moon, making it take the full force of the attack.
But even so, the enemy's health was still a problem. The attack was only able to chip away at about 45% of its health.Even so, its health was slowly rising, even with Hellflame, a spell to negate regenative abilities, was active and covering its whole gigantic form.
"Should've known it wouldn't have been that easy. The ring's cooldown is about 10 minutes, but one can't use the same skill twice. Gonna have to play my cards right to stall it while not getting hit once."
The enemy seemed to at least still be getting out of the hole, its body rapidly regenerating, but the biggest problem was the inky creatures coming out of its burning flesh. There were more or less a thousand of them within the first few seconds.
"Wait, maybe I can use this to my advantage... Oh, I got it."
Momonga reaches inside his inventory, bringing out a delicate hourglass and 3 golden-trimmed scrolls.
"Can't be wasting MP in a battle like this.." He casts the scrolls in the air, burning them in a blue flame. "[ Undead-Army-3] [Vampire-Empress] [Undead-Kingdom]"
The moon soil convulsed taking the form of a few hundred dead creatures. Multiple death knights, death Cavaliers, and other creatures could be seen. From the center were Undead elephants carrying a darkened beauty and golden armored troops marching ahead.
The army of Undead met the inky creatures at the edge of the hole, the inky creatures soon being overwhelmed by the dead warriors. The army was doing great damage but he knew it wouldn't last long. The enemy army was far greater in numbers.
"Next up is you big guy. Need something a bit stronger to keep you down. [Summon- Spirit Trinity]" He commands as seven jewels of his golden staff glow. Before him sparked to life seven spirits each at the pinnacle of their element. They were each Primordial spirits of fire, water, earth, wind, star, ice, and lava. The strongest of them all being the primordial star spirit. The others would use all their restrain-type abilities while star and fire attack from the front.
The fire damage they would do would chip away at its health, while the earth's spirit would shrink the hole to lessen its movement.
It was a great plan, but he knew that even wouldn't last long. All he needed was 10 minutes for the cooldown, his spells wouldn't do all that much than just lessen his mana supplies.
For now, the only thing to damage it would be the trump cards of his friends.
"Blast, something ain't feeling right here." Commented the lion. Blast was moving to his destination with a worried expression.
He wanted to joke at his comrade's words, but they may hold more truth than hid liked to admit.
They had been heading to their destination for more than a few minutes now, and instead of instantly showing up, they were knocked off their course by some barrier.
This made them worry even more, as it was something not even his teleportation could get true. They instead decided to head there the old-fashioned way by flying. He was moving at a speed, not even the latest jets could fly but even so, it'll take a while to arrive.
He just hoped, that the day of judgment, wouldn't be today.
"You sure are something."
Momonga was flying a few kilometers from the ground, with several heaven-gatekeeper angels surrounding him. They were originally eight but after the sudden attack from 'God', its was only four left.
The giant seemed to grow angrier from the star spirits' attacks and gained a sudden drop of its Mana. Momonga saw the drop and knew something was coming. He took the necessary measures to summon bodyguards for times like these.
Within the blitz of a second, the formerly dormant enemy was raising its burnt arm and shooting an energy beam the size of a city directly at him. The angels were able to use their skill to share the damage amongst themselves but even so half of them kicked the bucket.
"That attack was as strong as a super tier spell if I didn't know any better. It seems your patience is running thin, no matter. This next Attack will end this, for good... I hope"
The preparations for the next attack were complete. His super tier cooldown has finished, after the multiple shortenings of items, and he was prepared to test his latest theory. He wishes it would work, if not. What else does he have to lose?
"Super tier Magic.." His words once more invoked, creates blue runes surrounding him with power. "[Lä_Sub-Nigurath]"
With his flawless pronunciation, the millions of ink creatures beneath him fall and crumble to an inky substance. Their bodies break down into a Gooey state. The sea of ink convulsed once more, giving rise to creatures of horror. A thousand Dark young monstrosities rise from the dark sea.
Momonga, a bit surprised by the amount, shakes his head back to reality. With his final order to all his summons, he invokes his words.
"Dark Young!... Hold him down.."
As their lord spoke, the army of horrific creatures charged with the dark sinkhole. Diving in and landing on the Godlike entity. Their tentacles and teeth dug into its flesh. The entity first appears annoyed, soon looks discomfort, and then outraged.
Its Mana Levels drop to a drastic point as it shakes the moon. Slamming and crushing the Dark Young from its skin. All the damage done from the beginning has only brought its health down to 40% of what it originally was.
This was the moment to decide the champion of this match. The spells, items, scrolls, all of it will see if this gamble will work.
"Let's put it to the test.." Momonga raises his hand to the sky, showing to all the cherished symbol of his guild.
The ring of Ainz Ooal Gown, now a world item capable of calling upon the skills of his comrades. While he had been breaking his mind over this fight, he calmed down to look over the options he had available to him. True all the effects the ring had, only one gave him hope.
Similar to his trump card, the item can use one of the forty-one charges it has to strengthen one ability. One charge took a total of 10 minutes to recharge. If he poured all charges in one, 410 minutes would be the cost, but the question was. How much would it strengthen the singular ability? And what if the ability wasn't a damage-dealing one, but an instant death type?
"[The goal of all life is death]..."
All the blood and sweat put into the game, all their hardship will end here.
"I AM AINZ OOAL GOWN... and I declare your life will be... forfeit."
"[True-Death]"

[You Have leveled Up]
[Author-san: Well that was something. Didn't exactly know what I was writing but you could say I was just going with the flow. Not good or bad. Not exactly sure on how i feel about it any other way. This idea just popped in my head and well now here it is. Probably gonna be a one-shot for now. But WHO KNOWS] (To lazy to edit- future me problems)
