Tony and Angela were spending their afternoon in the local home and garden store looking at patio furniture. They had decided to build a screened in patio onto the back of the house, using the door that had once led to Mona's. It had been Tony's idea, as they didn't really have a place to enjoy themselves outside, and Angela had quite liked the idea of a lazy outdoor area. Contractors had been called and plans drawn and now with the work nearly completed it was time to pick out new pieces to complete the look.

"What about this one," Angela asked Tony, looking at wicker set small couch and chair.

Tony walked over and placed his hands on the arms of the chair and placed his weight on it. The wicker crackled a little and Tony stood up.

"Not quite sturdy enough or really big enough for what I had in mind," he said putting his arm around Angela and pulling her in and giving her a wet kiss on the cheek.

"Why are you always thinking about sex," Angela said softly with a giggle.

"Because I have a sexy wife, that I can't get enough of," Tony replied. "And I can't wait to christen our new room and the furniture has got to be able to hold up."

"Then we need cast iron," came her sarcastic reply.

"You like it wild and rowdy," he said, tickling her ribs.

"Tony," she laughed, but kissed him. "Focus on the task at hand."

He released her and they walked further down the aisle.

"How about this one?" said Tony as he came to stop in front of a longer couch and wider chairs.

"Nice, and looks like made of real wood," Angela stated.

"Yeah, looks like birch," stated Tony walking over to run his hand across the back of the sofa to test the wood.

"Definitely could take our weight," Angela deadpanned pinning him with a look while she bit her bottom lip.

Suddenly Tony had visions of them in various positions engaging in the favorite past time on their furniture in the back patio.

"Wipe that grin off Mister, and start helping me find cushions," Angela stated laughing.

"Yeah, I can't wait to get this home," said Tony.

"Let's go for blue I think that will match the wood best," she said.

They turned around and started to shift through the many cushions in various colors looking for the right shades.

"Here is a powder blue," said Tony.

"No too light, I want something a bit deeper," she replied.

"That's what she said," came his cheeky reply.

"Immature," she retorted, the smile she wore let him know while a little annoyed she was loving the teasing.

"A deep Columbian blue," Tony stated, letting her know he was paying attention.

"Right," was her reply.

They looked through a few more shelves moving inventory out of the way.

"Tony," came a voice.

Tony stopped and looked up to see a very pregnant Kathleen standing just a ways in front of him. It had been a few years, the last time he'd seen her was when he left her apartment on the day when he decided that their relationship was going nowhere. Time had moved on for both. Angela, who had been looking beside him, also stopped, and had looked up at the voice. Tony reached out and took Angela's hand. He knew that even though time had softened, and they were now happily married, that she would still have a spot for that dark time in their lives.

"Kathleen, hey, how are you," he replied but didn't move from his spot nor let go of Angela's hand.

Kathleen started walking toward them.

"I'm great, it's really good to see you guys," Kathleen said.

"You too, and wow look at you," Tony said mentioned her baby bulge.

"Yeah, I'm a little over seven months, our first," Kathleen said her eyes with pride.

"Hey Kathleen, there you are," said the man as he walked up and stopped at her side.

He was handsome, around six feet tall with brown hair and blue eyes, he was slim build, wearing jeans, a solid black T-shirt and maverick style jacket. His face was soft as he smiled down at Kathleen.

"Thank you, hey Mark, this is Tony and Angela, I went to school with Tony," stated Kathleen making the introduction.

"Hey, nice to meet you guys, I'm Mark, Kathleen's husband," he replied.

Mark reached out and shook Tony's then Angela's hand, firm but friendly.

"Do you know what you guys are having," asked Angela.

"A girl," said Kathleen delightfully rubbing her stomach.

"Yeah, I'm about to be outnumbered," Mark replied.

"Ey, it's not so bad," Tony replied.

Thoughts of Maria and Sam went through Tony's mind. He had similar thoughts once, but once Sam came, he didn't mind being outnumbered. They were his girls and he loved being wrapped around both their fingers. Happy thoughts turned gray, and Tony pulled Angela to his side, his hand wrapping around her waist.

"I know, I'm actually looking forward to it," Mark said.

"How long have you guys been married?" asked Tony.

"Nearly two years now," Kathleen replied. "You guys?"

"Coming up on four years," Tony said, looking lovingly in Angela's eyes, thankful to be making the rest of this journey with her.

Angela smiled slightly back at him, but it didn't quite reach her eyes which bothered Tony.

"Well, I'll let you guys get back to it, I just saw you and wanted to say hi," Kathleen said.

"Glad you did," Tony stated, "It was good to see you and congratulations again."

"Thank you, and it's really good to see the two of you together," Kathleen replied giving them both a knowing look.

"You take care Kathleen," Angela said softly.

Kathleen nodded in Angela's direction and then took Mark's hand and walked toward the exit.

"Well how about that," Tony said as they walked from view.

"Hmm," was all Angela said as she turned and went back to looking through the cushions.

Tony returned to her side and knew he had to tread carefully. While Angela had told him that she'd forgiven him for the Kathleen transgression, he knew she was still sensitive to those times. Tony was happy that Kathleen had found someone to start a family with, he also knew that Kathleen's father would be more than thrilled, he knew not to continue talking about this event until Angela had time to process.

They made their purchase and Tony had loaded up the jeep as they headed back home. Tony didn't like the tone the day had taken since running into Kathleen and was eager to recapture the mood. As he drove them to the house, he kept his hand in Angela's and would pull it to his lips to give it tender kisses. He wanted to assure Angela he wasn't thinking of Kathleen in the slightest, and he wasn't, he was happy for her, but he was more concerned about his life, with his wife.

They pulled into the driveway and Tony put the jeep in park and turned off the motor.

"You, okay?" Tony asked.

"Yeah," Angela said as she reached to open the door and slid out of the car.

Tony didn't like the short answer and rushed to get out and meet her before she could retreat to the house.

"You want to unload now, or wait till tomorrow morning," he asked as he came around to meet her.

"It's late, we can just get it in the morning," she said.

"Ange, you're not okay," Tony stated.

"I am, really," she said.

"You've been a million miles away since we saw Kathleen," he said. "I'm sorry if seeing her upset you, sweetheart I can never express to you the depths of my grief at causing you pain during that time."

Tony was sure her attitude had been brought on by retreating to darker thoughts.

"Oh, no Tony, no baby," Angela soothed coming up to place her hands on his cheeks and rub them affectionately.

She looked into Tony's eyes and saw them downcast, and she wished to take away his guilt. Yes, that had been a dark time for them, but it had been years ago, and he had loved her so well and had committed to her so completely that honestly there were times she forgot the whole mess. She leaned into him and took his mouth in a tender kiss.

"You don't need to feel guilty," she said when she'd released him.

"What is it, and I know it's something, I see it right here," Tony stated as he brought his fingers up to caress the spot between her eyes that wrinkled when she had unpleasant thoughts.

"Just seeing her pregnant, you could have had that," Angela replied.

"I didn't want that," Tony stated, taking her face in his hands. "I wanted you."

"I know, but do you ever regret we can't have that again," Angela said.

They had found out not long after they married that it would be quite an effort and not quite healthy for Angela to have additional children. It was something that still went through Angela's mind that she couldn't do for Tony. He was such an amazing father.

"No, I told you, we had that, and now what I want is a life with you," he said passionately moving in to kiss her.

"I know but Tony you are such an amazing father," began Angela breaking from his embrace and going into the house.

Tony followed.

"I'm much more concerned about being an amazing husband," Tony replied. "Angela are you happy?"

Angela stopped in the kitchen and turned to face him.

"Of course, I'm happy," she said. "You make me happy."

"You talk about me being a father, but you are an amazing mother as well," Tony began. "And I know you once had thoughts of us."

Tony trailed off, he thought back to when Billy came into their lives, how she'd commented about building up time to take if it was needed, at Sam's wedding when she commented on the fruitlessness of waiting when they could have expanded their family. She'd wanted to have his child, and Tony had ruined any chance of that.

"Yes, I sometimes wondered what it would be like," she replied truthfully.

"And it's my fault you didn't have it," Tony said sadly. "You don't know how badly sometimes I wish I could back in time and fix that."

"I know honey," she replied. "But really, I let that go years ago."

"And you could have had it, you didn't have to wait for me, but you did," Tony said coming over and taking her in his arms again. "Do you know how grateful I am to you, Angela, you gave me your life."

"Because I love you, and I knew it would be worth it," she said smiling as she took his lips.

They kissed for a moment in the middle of their kitchen.

"I'm sorry I got so pensive and made you worry," she said when she'd released his lips.

"I don't like you having unpleasant thoughts," he replied earnestly.

"They weren't unpleasant as much as wistful," she replied.

"Still, you think too much," he stated.

"This is true," she replied, sliding up to him again. "Luckily my very sexy husband usually has a way of distracting me."

"Oh, you want a distraction," he stated as she started to place kisses across his jaw line moving to nuzzle his neck.

"Mmm," she replied as she kissed his ear and sideburns, her hands running down to cup his firm behind.

He ran his hands down to cup her backside and started to nuzzle the cheek against his. Content with the direction things were taking and wanting to see it through to its conclusion. They leaned into and kissed each other playfully, giggling with desire. Suddenly the air was shattered with the ringing of the telephone.

Once, twice, three times. Tony walked them both over to the phone and picked it up, it was later, but it could be one of the kids.

"Micelli residence," he said, and Angela nuzzled him again still wrapped around him.

"Tony, Tony are you there, is Angela with you!?" came the frantic voice of Mrs. Rossini.

"Yeah, yeah Mrs. Rossini," said Tony still holding Angela. "Calm down."

Angela had stopped nuzzling and was looking at him puzzled at the developments.

"I can't, oh it's just simply horrible, it's Mrs. Napoli!" screamed Mrs. Rossini on the phone, Tony had to move it back from his ear slightly.

"What's happened?" said Tony seriously.

"She didn't wake up from her nap, they say it was a stroke," Mrs. Rossini said. "You guys need to get down here, there are some legalities apparently that you need to take care of."

"Ok, Ok, just stay calm, we are on our way," Tony stated hanging up the phone.

"She sounds really upset, what was it?" asked Angela, she'd heard her frantic voice but didn't make out the whole situation.

"Mrs. Napoli, passed on her in sleep, according to Mrs. Rossini, there are some legal matters that concern us." Tony was perplexed.

Both stood for a moment pondering about what matters they could have with Mrs. Napoli. Then in a split second it dawned on both.

"Billy!" they both exclaimed to each other.
