Chapter 2: texts
Courtney couldn't believe her mind. She had just accepted to go to the CN tower in two days, and she couldn't believe she actually put the letter in the mailbox. "I need that letter back!" Courtney exclaimed, pushing her arm into the mailbox. "Where is it!" she gripped on a letter, sighing with relief. "Thank goodness."
Walking back to her car, Courtney wondered if she maybe got the wrong letter.
She looked at the letter, but it didn't say To Duncan Jones, it said something else.
To Norbert Hatchet
"Norbert Hatchet? DARN IT!" Courtney groaned, running back to the mailbox. "WAITT!" she stopped, seeing Noah grab the letters, and put them in the mailtruck. "WHAT HAVE I DONE!"
"Now it's gonna be delivered! But I can't write another letter, that's tacky! I need to do something-FAST," she wailed. "But this decision is too big..I need some help."
She drove back to her apartment, and took out her phone in the elevator. "Hey Siri, text Bridgette." in a second, she was delivered to where she could text Bridgette.
Courtney: SOS
Bridgette: whats up?
Courtney: told duncan i'd meet him at CN tower in 2 days, changed my mind but letter's already delivered
Bridgette: how bout u come to my place
Courtney: Sure!
Courtney hadn't been at Bridgette's house in a while, so she was ecstatic. She got in her car, and drove a couple miles out of Toronto to go to their cottage. "I wonder how it looks now?" she asked herself.
A couple minutes later
"Wow, Bridgette! I love your place!" Courtney exclaimed, opening the door to their fancy house.
Bridgette smiled. "For a party animal, Geoff sure does know how to clean up a house."
"Where is Geoff?" Courtney asked. "Is he off doing something with Lydia?"
Bridgette snapped her fingers. "Exactly on the money! They're at the Toronto Zoo. Anyways, what's this about Duncan?"
Courtney replied, "My mom called me about Duncan calling her, then Chris went missing, and I got a letter from Duncan about going to the CN tower. I said alright, but then when I put in the letter I instantly regretted it, then I grabbed THIS LETTER!" She held out the letter reading "To Norbert Hatchet"
"Norbert Hatchet…who sent the letter," Bridgette said, her eyes widening. "I recognize that last name.."
"CHRIS MCCLEAN!" Courtney gasped. "I wanna open this letter, but it would be a violation of privacy!"
"Screw privacy! This could be the answer to where Chris is!" Bridgette shouted. "If you won't open it, I will." She grabbed the letter out of Courtney's hand, and opened it.
Courtney said, "No!" but the damage was done. Bridgette threw the envelope in the trash, and opened up the letter.
Dear Chef Hatchet
Your idea was GENIUS! Absolutely GENIUS. But how will we be able to kidnap TWENTY TWO thirty year olds? We are getting older. Maybe we should start with the least popular ones. Do you know where Tyler and Geoff live? Nobody cares about them in the show.
-Chris
Courtney and Bridgette were speechless. "He's trying to KIDNAP US FOR A NEW SEASON?" they both exclaimed.
"I need to call Geoff. NOW," Bridgette said, hyperventilating and grabbing her phone, smashing the keys.
"So…see you later?" Courtney asked, slowly backing up from Bridgette. She closed the door, and ran back to her car. "What do I do now?"
She drove home, thinking about the letter. If Chris was kidnapping all the campers..
She was at risk.
