As the children were still busy trying to tear down the seemingly hard glass wall and Tom still steeling himself from his rogue conscience's traumatizing attacks, Tom and his Pokémon children then heard voices that seemed to come from each of them, to what seems like various biddings of goodbyes to someone they know, probably their Papa once again, as Tom's Pokémon continued on thinking of how they were going to free themselves from their seemingly fortified obstacle that keeps them from reaching out to their beloved Papa.

- "* * * *! I'm going to miss you! I'll always be in your heart, forever and ever!"

- * * * *... I'm so sorry, but I have to go...

- * * * *...I'm truly, truly sorry... Goodbye, for now...

- Me very sorry, * * * *... but me not want to do this anymore... me must go, it for the best...Me very sorry...Me very sorry...

- We may not be real, if what you say is true, but always remember that as long you remember us, you'll never be alone. We're always with you in your heart, waiting and hoping for your safe return, * * * *. We love you all very much, with all our hearts.

Tom, as he was struggling to keep his composure intact, then was assaulted with visions of his Pokémon leaving him, just like what happened on that certain night, but this time, the events were drawn out even more... he was pleading to them, up to the point that he has to kneel to them just to not let them be out of his sight...

- Him even holding Jerry's cape just to stop him from leaving, to which Jerry uncharacteristically grabbed his cape out of his Keeper's grasp, then hurriedly move away from him, leaving Tom bawling his eyes out with his heart mercilessly shattered,

- Him grabbing Serena's feeler ribbon with a caring but firm manner, but her whipping him out with her other feelers and saying sorry to him in a withdrawn voice as she also left him suffering,

- Victor just outright disappearing in front of him, proclaiming that he'll miss him very much, but saying resignedly that it has to be that way, and left him there, weeping from the bottom of his vulnerable, broken heart, then,

- Him seeing his youngest Ward Manny tearfully saying goodbyes to him as he prepared to go to his one, "True Home", on the sea, away from him and his care and presence, him also saying the same thing but in his limited vocabulary,

- Then Jerry appeared once again, but this time with his Starter, Jess, and he saw both of them holding each other's hands as they said goodbye to him in unison as he desperately tried to catch up to them, but Jerry's silky feelers then magnifying themselves and wrapping onto both of him and his Big Sister, as then Tom was planted into the ground face-first after trying to grab his silk cape from behind but failing to do so, crying his eyes out in grief and sorrow until he cannot take it anymore...

Jerry then recalled what he just heard in his mind, probably a call of goodbye to his Keeper, he thought. Then, the voice became clearer and clearer too HIM, to THEM.

He was right.

- "Papa! I'm going to miss you! I'll always be in your heart, forever and ever!"

This is a nightmare, he thought. And it made a daring move to use one of his Keeper's greatest fears against him, for no reason.

To be ABANDONED.

Just like what HE also feared the most when it comes to his beloved Keeper.

Jerry absolutely did not take that particular call of goodbye to his Papa very, very well at all.

Not again.

Not once more again.

But this time, he noted, it was even worse than before.

Those voices once again told another set of putrid, disgusting lies; as he knows what it feels like to say goodbye to someone whom one knows that will never leave their side, just for them to disappear in front of his very eyes. He went through this a lot as he was like this himself, steeling his resolve to cope with the fact that he had promised that he will never, ever forget his friends from 1,000 years ago, and yet now, he almost barely recalls their faces and what Pokémon they look like; the only remaining traces of his memories from the past were the ones involving him experiencing the full brunt and weight of what it means to carry the responsibility of being a Servant Wishing Star Pokémon, and his final goodbye to his friends as he was crying his eyes out as he was being encased in his former crystal cocoon that he now considers as his accursed prison.

And it TORE and GNAWED inside his mind thinking about these things, as it hurt him deeply that an innocent soul like him has to have everyone suffer also on his behalf.

Especially his own Papa. His beloved Keeper. His rescuer. His whole world.

His one, true Family.

Apparently, even his desire to be free also has a caveat of making sure that somebody else also has to keep the weight of his own previous, lingering despair, even if he was also carrying it himself from the start of his existence.

And it made him angry. Enraged. Worried. Distraught. Inconsolable.

Concerned.

His Papa was hurting.

His Papa was HURTING.

Again.

Not his Papa. Not again, he thought.

Never will he watch his Papa suffer like this ever again.

He promised his Keeper.

HE PROMISED his beloved Keeper.

Then, he decided to do something.

Jerry recalled that call of goodbye he had just heard one more time as he was listening to his Papa's inner guilts torment him once again.

- "Papa! I'm going to miss you! I'll always be in your heart, Forever and Ever!"

- "Papa! I'm going to miss you! I'll always be in your heart, Forever and Ever!"

- "I'm going to miss you! I'll always be in your heart, Forever and Ever!"

- "I'll always be in your heart, Forever and Ever!"

- "I'll always be in your heart, Forever and Ever!"

- "I'll always be in your heart, Forever and Ever!"

- "Forever and Ever!"

- "Forever and Ever!"

- "Forever and Ever!"

- " ! ! ! ! ! ! !"

- " R ! ! ! ! ! ! !"

...

NO.

NO. NONONONONONONONONONONO.

NO.

That is not true.

That is not true, he thought to himself, trying not to gag and throw up on such a disgusting stunt being pulled within his earshot.

That is not true. At all.

THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY AND EARTH-SHATTERINGLY NOT TRUE AT ALL.

No matter how much long he would lie to himself, him being always in his Papa's heart IS NEVER ENOUGH.

Because if he would say to his Papa that HE will always be in HIS heart,"Forever and Ever", his Papa would tell himself that they're both lying to each other's faces.

He as of now knows what they've been through together. Beneath everything he had learned, experienced, cherished and enjoyed as a Free Wish-granter Star, he still has a duty keep to his own little Star-Heart to his Papa.

His eternal love, loyalty and familial servitude by choice to his Papa.

He WILL keep his Papa safe.

ALWAYS.

And as a part of his newfound duty and purpose, he always keeps his promises, for he is a Good Wishing Star.

Tom's Wishing Star's grasp and understanding of this concept alone would really, really impress him so, so much. He was very, very lucky he was chosen by this Child from the Stars to be its Eternal Keeper. Jerry may have been through a lot at a very early age, but his slightly dented, but still very, very strong sense of justice and conviction to his devotion to his Papa is a surprising thing to behold.

He KNOWS that no matter how much one tries to remember, there will come a time that things have changed so much, things worth remembering will be eventually forgotten. And as he thought from before on that encounter on their Papa's previous harrowing nightmare, a thousand years' worth of sleep can send even a heartfelt and significant moment into nothing more than an afterthought, never to be recalled EVER again.

He has since regretted telling his friends that he was sorry for not telling them about his curse, him remembering himself crying his eyes out profusely as his hibernation process began to overtake him as they said their goodbyes to him, him realizing too late the consequences of the thought of never seeing his friends EVER again, his crystal cocoon being overfilled with his bitter tears, as it also gets integrated in his crystal cocoon afterwards in the process, until his eyes were sorely red, and up to the point he has no more tears to shed anymore.

He was just too young, as he was just born on that week, and his other Self, Wishy, was still with him, taking his place when he has to grant Wishes for people and Pokémon alike. He had no idea yet on how to form connections to anyone else, for he still was a blank slate. He felt detached from the world he was conceived on back then, for his mental acuity was just starting to emerge.

That alone was the reason why by the second time he awakened and found Tom as his Eternal Keeper from then on, his eyes' sight was extremely blurry to his perspective, him seeing things in a hazy state until his vision finally clears itself up and the first thing he sees in his first reawakening is not his surroundings, nor a Pokémon, but a human.

A human that he considers as his very own Papa. Smiling at him as the human also saw his cute, sleeping little face as well as he was seeing what would eventually be his Eternal Keeper for the first time in both their entire lives, Jerry then imprinting himself onto him, with Tom greeting the Pokémon that he will eventually call as Jerry with a simple greeting that is all-too familiar;

Tom: Good Morning, little Star. I hope you had a nice nap, for the days are just beginning, you know? We have a lot to see for today, and I'll be glad for you to join us, even for a short time.

Jerry remembered that that was the time he realized from that moment on that this human, his Keeper, his Papa Tom, was the HOPE his friends from a millennium ago had promised for him to find his very own family to be with someday, and the one who will eventually free him not only from his 1,000-year hibernation, but also from his loathed role as a Servant Wishing Star Pokémon, as well as the one who gave him another chance to be what he wants to be, or WHAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FIRST PLACE, and took care of him and loved him with all his heart.

Even though they both went through a lot of traumatizing things, Jerry even so far as going back in time to the past many times to repeat their very first meeting just to make sure their fated encounter with each other happens perfectly right as well as just to make sure that Tom actually executes his fated rescue of his precious, little Wishing Star and actually grants Jerry's very own Wishes on his behalf; to each other's perspectives, they both are worth more than anything else in the entire world, especially to Jerry himself, for his Keeper heard his tiny voice, his hidden plight and calls for help and responded accordingly and took him in as his very own Star-born Son.

The Pokémon children, as they were still finding a way how to get to their Papa, heard another voice, and Jess could've sworn and was pretty sure she can tell that it belonged to a researcher of some kind, judging by the tone of it, as well as how concise it is.

?: ...there was one family that told me stories that were rather... Unpleasant. It was quite a surprise to me myself knowing that even an innocent Pokémon has had a sordid history and encounter with humans like us.

*sigh*, why am I not surprised... but as they say, the more pure and beautiful something is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt, destroy and defile it thoroughly. Oh, goodness, gracious...

?: It was hard to define the truth and false in the stories, but seeing the sincerity in them, I couldn't just say I didn't believe it, though. After all, I'm a researcher; I take in ANY kind of information, outrageous or otherwise.

She was right, she thought.

Jess was surprised and made a silent cheer to herself, but she remembered that this is a nightmare, and listened intently with her siblings as the voice continued.

?: Anyway, the stories were dark and how people had abused the Wishing Star Pokémon's power the last time it had been awakened. They said that the three tags on the Star's head are for writing the Wishes on them. A group of humans had lured the naive Pokémon with them and have written some horrible, horrible Wishes on the Tags. The family wasn't sure what the Wishes were, but it had made the poor Wishing Star lose its mind. It couldn't comprehend and understand clearly the evil Wishes of these people and eventually began to go crazy, insane even. They said that the Star Pokémon began to hurt itself by smashing into walls, hitting and scratching itself, screaming in agony and whatever stuff it could come up with. Some said that it kept repeating the same phrases over and over, "I do not understand", "Help me, please, anybody", "Wish, Wish, Wish, Wish, Wish, Wishes...", "Free me", "It hurts", and many, many more, until it cannot say something anymore. The group of people it then encountered were disgusted by this Pokémon's broken state, and instead of helping it, shouted unnecessary things and attacked the poor thing with their own Pokémon.

Jerry was horrified of what he just heard from the voice as it continued. He realized that his ability to grant the BEST POSSIBLE INTERPRETATION OF A Wish just made him much more vulnerable to these kinds of things, and desperately wanted to cling to his Keeper for dear life as he recognized the potential consequences of being subjected to a situation like that.

These things brought him back to those times in his own nightmares involving turning on his Keeper and torturing him until he cannot take his Star's torture anymore, and being a destroyer of lives because of his reality-warping abilities. His fellow siblings were also distraught towards him as much to their Keeper as well, seeing as he was the MOST emotionally connected, sensitive and concerned to their Keeper of all of them, as the others know that their Keeper and their Dearest Star Sibling's promises to each other synchronized their inner feelings for each other, and they both promised too that they will stay together for as long as they live.

He was beginning to feel some sort of a mixture between extreme concern and fiery rage as he was hearing this instance, as he was thinking about the possibility of being exploited like that by a bunch of horrid people that turned his lifelong Wish that was granted for him into what he can account to a horrifying threat to himself and his sanity.

He really, really wanted to be in his Papa's embrace and stay there so he can listen to his Papa's heart's heartbeats sing its song to him to calm him down, as him thinking about these things were beginning to tear him apart.

This nightmare sure was not messing around.

?: The Star was mercilessly broken. Its pure, innocent heart was completely and mercilessly shattered. The group just left it there, to weep from the bottom of its now broken heart. It was even said that the Eye of Truth that a Jirachi usually bears, began turning red, and the Star was consumed by sorrow, despair, rage and hatred and showed its ire and wrath to anyone it saw. It swore to itself that it will make every single Pokémon and people pay with their lives for destroying its dreams of being known as a Good Wishing Star.

Tom's Pokémon were looking at their very own Wishing Star sibling as they were listening to the voice as it told the story that their Keeper remembered that they did not know at all, as this may be one of the memories that their Papa had kept to himself once again, as Jerry himself bowed his head in shame because of his own kind being another source of a topic like this.

Another voice then interrupted the voice, and it was VERY LOUD, as it came out of nowhere and spoke in a booming, but rageful, hateful, sorrowful, echoing and weeping manner:

!: YOU HAVE HAVE MADE ME SUFFER FOR THE LAST TIME! I HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT GIVE AND GIVE AND GIVE AND TRIED MY VERY BEST TO BE A GOOD WISHING STAR! I JUST WANTED TO MAKE EVERYBODY I MEET VERY, VERY HAPPY BECAUSE OF MY GIFTS! I WAS YOUNG, AND I THOUGHT EVERYBODY LOVED ME FOR THE BLESSINGS THAT I GIVE, ESPECIALLY TO YOU, ALL OF YOOUUU! I HAVE GIVEN EVERYTHING FOR YOU! BUT IT ALWAYS ENDS THE SAME!

The voice continued, its full hatred and disdain being laid bare for everyone present to hear loud and clear.

!: YOU HAVE TREATED ME WITH HATE, DISGUST AND CONTEMPT! YOU HAVE DEMORALIZED AND OSTRACIZED ME FOR WHAT I DID NOT DO! YOU HAVE DESTROYED MY LIFE AND MY LIFELONG DREAM TO BE A GOOD PROVIDER PRINCE OF BLESSINGS! I SWEAR WITH MY ENTIRE LIFE AND AS THE SUN, THE MOON AND THE STARS IN THE NIGHT SKY ARE MY WITNESS, THAT I WILL MAKE YOU ALL PAY DEARLY WITH YOUR ENTIRE EXISTENCE FOR BREAKING NOT JUST MY HEART, BUT MY ENTIRE LIFE!

!: YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO SEE THE STARS THAT GLEAM AND SHINE IN THE NIGHT SKY! YOU DO NOT DESERVE MY GENEROSITY AT ALL! YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO EXPERIENCE MIRACLES! NOR EVEN RECEIVE BLESSINGS! YOU ALL DESERVE TO NEVER BE GRANTED WISHES AND EVEN COVET THE CONCEPT OF WANTING AND DESIRES AT ALL FOR ALL ETERNITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

!: YOU. WILL. ALL. SUFFFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR!

The Pokémon children, especially the Wishing Star, just heard what seems to be some sort of vision or warning of what would happen if Tom did not rescue his very own beloved Wishing Star from his destined, tragic fate, and judging by how infernally and extremely protective Jerry is to his Papa, as they all can attest to the fact that Jerry literally burns up when sufficiently angered and enraged by anyone he sees as a threat to his Keeper, this is probably one of the instances of what would happen if Tom at all tries to abandon his beloved Star for absolutely no reason at all, or even if Jerry becomes so disillusioned for so long, he begins to get angry at the world for subjecting him into this kind of life he did not ask for by choice, that he snaps and begins his destined wanton rampage amongst people and Pokémon alike.

To become what he was supposed to be.

His lifelong Wish denied from him for so long, he began to snap, just like that of a Star becoming a Neutron Star.

To become exactly he was supposed to be against.

Not a Wishmaker, Wishgranter, a Blessing-giver, but a Destroyer, Demolisher and a Deconstructor instead.

To be a Broken Dream and a nightmare amidst the overly massive masses of Wishes and Good Dreams.

To be the large, harrowing blight of darkness amidst the bright stars that shine on the night sky.

To be a ticking Star-shaped time bomb that will unleash a GIGANTIC lot of untold wanton death, destruction and chaos, devastation and despair amongst every other People and Pokémon alike.

And they discovered once again an instance of some of what their Papa fears what becomes of them if they lose their way, or if he himself gets hurt in the process on their behalf.

In their cases, mostly, them being the worst version of themselves, laid and shown bare for the world to see, as a warning to the world that had denied them their purpose and their rights to be loved and to love.

And it terrified them to their very core, not only of themselves, but also for the safety of their beloved Papa.

Tom's rogue conscience now begins to unleash its harrowing capabilities at him and his Pokémon children and more of their pasts get slightly uncovered, but it seems the kids themselves are getting tired of being patronized and have their Keeper being mercilessly tormented by his invasive nightmares at night, and them, especially Jerry, being shown what happens if they fail to endure and survive this encounter, giving them all a head start to save their Papa once again, as well as to rehabilitate their Papa's consciousness before it's too late.

The action will be unleashed on the next chapter, where Deja Vu takes place once again, but this time, it's not just a typical invasive nightmare.

Tom has to have faith on his kids to bail him out on his own personal and well-kept inner turmoil, and fast before it's over for them.
