Chapter 15: Settling the Score

The plan was in motion. Weiss and Maria were commandeering the ship while Dbroha, Blake, and Yang took out the communication towers so they could slip to Atlas undetected. Dbroha heard Ruby communicating to Weiss through their earpieces. He could hear Adrian crying in the background.

"Is everything okay?" Ruby asked Weiss.

"We're on board." Weiss responded.

"All right, we'll all watch our scrolls. The second Weiss is out of range of the com tower means she's out of range of the radar too."

"And that's when Blake comes in." Dbroha finished.

"We're almost at the drop off." Yang announced.

Yang raced Bumblebee around a sharp corner as Dbroha flew beside her and Blake, who was on call with Terra, getting information about the tower.

"One, remember the radar box is separated from the rest of communications equipment, so if you disconnect it properly, it won't take out coms for the rest of the city, two, this conversation never happened."

"Don't worry." Blake rolled her eyes with a smile. "This isn't the first time I've disabled Atlas security."

"...Never. Happened."

Yang came to a stop and Dbroha landed beside the bike as Blake got off the bike.

"Sure you don't want us to come with?" Yang asked as she marched towards the woods.

"More intruders means we're more likely to be seen. Besides, stealth isn't exactly your..." Blake trailed off as she saw Yang cross her arms and Dbroha gave her a look. "I mean, you're both great and I'll hurry back!"

Yang smiled. "Go."

The cat Faunus smiled and took off.

"Taking off." Weiss said. "Won't be long."

"Rodger." Jaune responded.

"And now, we wait." Yang stretched.

Dbroha hopped on the bike and pulled out a pack of cards from his bag. "Go Fish?"

"Sure."

(Timeskip)

"Got any 3s?" Yang asked.

"Go Fish."

As Yang picked up the cards, Dbroha checked his scroll and saw Weiss was now out of range. He nodded to Yang, who cleaned up the cards as Ruby gave the signal.

"Blake, you're up." There was no response from Blake. "Blake? Yang, Dbroha, what's going on?"

The two looked at each other worriedly.

"We don't know." Yang answered as she looked at her scroll.

Weiss's signal suddenly reappeared. Dbroha stretched his wings.

"Something's wrong. I'm gonna check on her."

"Go, I'll be right behind you." Yang said.

Dbroha took off in a blitz, heading directly to the tower. Weiss responded during his trip there.

"Ruby, we're in trouble. Cordo's on to us, AND MARIA ISN'T HELPING! Why is the radar still up?"

"We don't know, Blake isn't responding."

"Keep the ship in one piece." Yang ordered as her motorcycle could be heard. "Dbroha's already heading to the tower to check on her."

"By himself!?" Weiss yelled.

"Dbroha can take care of himself." Yang assured her.

Suddenly, Dbroha com came on. "Yang...we have a problem."

The small dragon was perched on the com tower. Several of the workers were dead and he saw marks on them which were identical to the scar on his palm.

"And I think it has red hair, horns, and a grudge with us."

"Adam!?" Yang yelled. "Dbroha, get back here right now."

"I can't! Blake is alone with that psycho! I'll fly ahead and buy you time to reach us!"

"Dbroha, do not enga-!"

He shut off his com and flew into the forest. It wasn't long before he heard gunshots and clanging of blades. He glided silently between the trees in order to get the drop on the older male. He eventually caught up and saw the two fighting as they bounced between the trees.

"Can you do anything besides run!?" Adam yelled at Blake as she fled.

The cat Faunus kept bouncing from the trees with the help of Gambol Shroud until Adam launched his sword and knocked her weapon off trajectory. Blake jumped back at Adam, who attempted to slash at her. In that moment, Dbroha swooped down, punching the older boy in the side of the head, sending him skidding. He and Blake landed as she turned her weapon to gun mode.

"Dbroha, get out of here!"

"I'm fine! Go get the other half of your weapon!"

She looked frustrated, but obliged. As Adam stood up, Dbroha growled at him, unsheathing his claws and blades.

"Remember me?"

The bull charged him and Dbroha met his onslaught with his own fury. Their weapons clashed as he attempted to land a punch. Adam was fast though, and nearly sliced him multiple times, barely only taking a few strands of his black hair. Blake leapt back into the fray, armed with both her weapons, breaking the two boys apart. She and Dbroha leapt back, their weapons pointed at Adam. He pounced at them, and they jumped back, leading him to a natural bridge next to a waterfall and over a freezing river. It would be easier for Dbroha to fly around here. They stared at each other for a second before Adam struck out at Blake, who used her semblance to dodge the slice, leaving Adam open to Dbroha's tail strike. When the red head tried to attack the boy, he pivoted on his foot and leapt into the air as Blake attacked Adam from behind, knocking him back and once again using her Semblance to get away. She charged in, parrying a strike from Adam and leaping over him as Dbroha side swiped him and flew off again. Adam growled and fired at Blake, who pounced back in, flipping away from his kick, and striking with her blades, which Adam deflected with his own sword. When he swung down again, Blake kicked the hilt of his sword and leapt over him before the two locked their sheaths and Adam grabbed her wrist.

"I wouldn't have to be doing this if you'd just behave!"

Dbroha dove back down, but Adam had gotten wind of their pattern. Pushing Blake back, he threw her sheathe, which struck the dragon in the face, knocking him off balance before striking the side of Blake's head with the hilt of his sword, sending her tumbling.

"But you're selfish!" Adam yelled as he leapt at the dazed girl.

Dbroha, still dizzy from the attack, jumped at him, digging his claws into the older male's back and smacking him with his tail.

"Stay away from my sister!"

The two rolled on the ground before dislodged the boy and threw him towards Blake. Dbroha skidded on all fours as Blake ran forward to intercept Adam, who charged again. She dodged the first attack, but when she blocked the second, it had enough force to knock her off her feet. Adam walked up to her and swung down.

"You're a coward!"

Blake was sent rolling as Adam kept advancing on her.

Dbroha got back up and breathed fire at Adam. He sidestepped the blast, only for Dbroha to take advantage by ducking under his side, and knocking the crazed male away with his tail. As Adam was pushed back, Dbroha got Blake to her feet and she glared at her ex.

"And you're delusional."

Blake charged in again, pushing Dbroha behind her, and throwing her coat as a diversion. Adam's hair glowed crimson as his blade sliced through the coat and shattered Gambol Shroud. Blake landed on her back as Dbroha got his gauntlets to blast mode, taking aim at Adam. Adam stopped and reached for his face and Dbroha finally realized he was covering his eyes with one of Blake's ribbons.

Creepy.

He removed it, revealing a terrible burn scar over his left eye with the initials SDC. Dbroha recognized the brand as the initials of the Schnee Dust Company and remembered what Blake had told him about their questionable practices, but he never imagined this. It was an unsettling familiarity really.

"People hurt me long before we met. All sorts of people, in all sorts of ways." Blake looked away, her ears flattened. "But no one hurt me quite like you. You didn't just hurt me, you just left me alone. So Blake, how does it feel to be alone?"

Both Dbroha and Blake heard something in the distance, the unmistakable sound of a motorcycle. Dbroha, thinking quickly to buy more time, snarled.

"Are you done with your little pathetic show?"

Adam turned to Dbroha who walked closer. The two circled each other as he kept Adam's focused solely on him.

"You think just because the world treated you badly means you get to hurt whoever you want? No, that's not how the world works."

"What would a brat like you know about it?" Adam challenged.

Dbroha locked eyes with him and rolled back the sleeve on his right arm, showing off the numerous scars.

"A lot more than you think. But unlike you, I was strong enough to never take it out on other people. You're not strong, Adam, you're a coward throwing a temper tantrum."

The red head roared and ran at the boy, Dbroha smirked. He rolled under Adam strike and slid to Blake, who trained her gun on Adam.

"We're not alone."

Just then, Yang jumped off a cliff, throwing Bumblebee directly into Adam, thanks to Dbroha lining up the shot. The motorcycle struck him, knocking him off his feet, before falling into the river below. The blonde landed next to her brother as Adam got to his feet. Yang looked at him, unafraid as Adam's remaining eye widened.

"You."

Yang and Dbroha fired off blasts. Adam blocked them with his sword, but the force nearly sent him over. Yang cocked the gun on her robotic arm.

"Yang..." Blake said, before whining and falling to her knee.

"It's okay." Yang assured her. "Catch your breaths first. I can hold him off."

"Right, Blake." Adam agreed, holding out his sword. "We have unfinished business."

The two locked eyes as Adam bolted at her, swinging. Yang blocked the strikes. Adam threw her sword at her in spinning motion before jumping to grab it and swinging down. Yang kept blocking, and Dbroha realized what she was up to. Yang charged in again, this time dodging the strikes and landing multiple hits, uppercutting him into the air and kicking him back. When Adam ran back in, Yang grabbed his arm, blasting him into chest and stomach before going for his head. The red head pulled back, firing shots from his sheathed, that Yang dodged before kneeing him in the gut. She then fired off a barrage of punches that Adam blocked with his sword but was still pushed back, before launching a kick at him, which he again blocked, before blasting him in the face. She then fired multiple shots that Adam blocked with his sword. He then circled her quickly.

"Yang, behind you!" Dbroha yelled.

She turned as Adam leapt, his downward strike sending a shock wave that pushed Yang backwards.

"His Semblance is like yours!" Blake warned. "He absorbs energy through his sword, stores it up, and then sends it back!"

"He gets to dish out without having to feel it?" Yang said, annoyed. "That's just cheap."

She launched herself forward with her gauntlets. As Adam prepared to slice her, she redirected her path. Adam kept swinging while Yang kept dodging with her blasts. She eventually jumped into the air, landing a hit on his face and spinning with a kick before jabbing downwards. Adam blocked the punch and sent her rolling back. Dbroha got up, ready to jump back in, as his sisters looked at each other, out of breath. Adam growled, seeing the two look at each other. He sheathed his sword, charging up with an ominous red glow.

"Yang!" Blake shouted as Adam sent a blast towards the blonde.

Dbroha jumped in the way, crossing his arms as the blast pushed him back. The dust settled and Dbroha was still standing, his gauntlets roughed up and Jaune's charm glowing (it's a defense buff, yes unimaginative). He lowered his arms as Yang got back up and stood beside him, the two of them glaring at the male.

"Leave. Us. Alone." Yang demanded.

Blake stood, joining them. Dbroha then got his blades out.

"This is your last chance." He growled.

Adam glanced between the three of them, reaching for his blade again. Dbroha tensed and Yang's hand twitched. Adam chuckled.

"Do you really believe that? Or are you two just trying to scare me away so you don't have to die protecting her."

Yang gritted her teeth, stepping forward, her arm still shaking. Blake grabbed her hand, claiming her down.

"They're not protecting me, Adam, and I'm not protecting them. We're protecting each other."

"You knew you couldn't win at Haven, what makes you so sure you can win now?"

"I don't have a choice! I have people who actually care about me, and I promised I'd never leave them again! So I'm not dying now!"

"You know, she made a promise to me once." Adam said, looking between Yang and Dbroha. "That she'd always be at my side. Heh, and look at how well she's kept it."

"Did she make that promise to you?" Yang asked. "Or to the person you were pretending to be?"

He looked back at Blake. "So I just wasn't good enough for you."

"You know it was so much more than that."

"I know you've made your choice, and I've made mine."

Adam grabbed his blade and the three readied their stances. They all knew now how this had to end. They all charged, dodging Adam's strikes and tag teaming him, weaving around him, jumping over, distracting him to open him up for a counterattack from someone else. Blake kicked him in the back, sending to Yang, who uppercutted him into the air for Dbroha to gravity dust him back down. The two boys exchange strikes. Dbroha then noticed Blake throwing Gambol Shroud to Yang for the Bumblebee move, so he kept Adam in place.

"You think you can actually stop me!?"

"I beat you at Beacon, I can do it again! Because this time, I've got backup."

He headbutted Adam as Yang swung Blake at him. Unfortunately, the older male saw it coming and blocked her before sending her flying into the cliff side, breaking her aura and leaving her hanging off the edge.

"Blake!" Yang yelled.

Dbroha ran to help her, only for Adam to knock him in the head with the hilt of his sword and kick him, sending him tumbling to Yang. Dbroha struggled to his feet as Yang placed herself between Adam and her brother.

"Moment of truth, Yang." Adam mocked her. "Do you think you're faster than you were at Beacon?"

Her eyes widened for a moment and she tensed. He smirked.

"Me either."

He charged her and they exchanged blows, Yang being more on the defensive and dodging. She rolled around him, out of breath.

"Your Aura's bound to be running low. Hit me already!"

Adam swung wildly while Yang was more calculated. He grew angrier as he kept missing.

"WHAT DOES SHE EVEN SEE IN YOU!?"

He threw his sword again and kicked her back, charging his slash.

"YOU'RE JUST A COWARD LIKE HER!?"

He fired his blast and ran leapt for the finishing blow, only for the dust to settle to reveal Yang had caught sword and activated her Semblance.

"Got ya."

She yanked him forward as Dbroha flew around her. Yang punched him in the stomach and Dbroha heard Adam's ribs crack as she sent him flying towards him. Activating Yang's charm and using the fire dust, Dbroha slammed his fist down on Adam, creating a crater beneath them as he heard more bones crack and saw Adam's Aura break. Dbroha then flew back to Yang, out of breath. Adam got back up, but realized he had lost his sword, which was still in Yang's hand as her Aura also broke.

"I may not be faster, but I'm smarter."

She tossed the sword to Dbroha, who grabbed it and flew off the side of the bridge. Adam ran after it and as he reached the edge, Blake jumped from the ledge she was perched on, Dbroha, dropping the sword into the river, spun and pushed her upwards with his legs, letting her punch Adam in the face as she landed back on the bridge. Adam stumbled back, knocking the shattered pieces of Gambol Shroud around, as Dbroha landed a bit away, his Aura breaking as he tried to catch his breath. Adam stared at the shards of the sword and bolted forward, intent on doing as much damage to the girls as he could. Blake and Yang saw what he was up to and raced forward, Blake reaching the hilt of the sword first, rolling in front of Dbroha, and raising it up as Yang took the other half. All at once, the two plunged the weapon pieces into Adam, Blake through the middle of his chest and through the bottom. Dbroha blinked as his mind barely processed what had just happened. Adam seemed just as surprised.

"Oh."

The girls removed the shards and Adam staggered towards the edge of the bridge, falling to his knees before his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell off. There was a thud and splash.

Then, silence.

The three breathed heavily, their eyes widening at what had just happened. It was over. glanced down at ground, still not sure what had just happened. Blake collapsed, crying. Yang skidded to her side.

"I-I'm not gonna break my promise. I swear!" She held onto Yang.

Yang held her and placed their foreheads together.

"I know you won't."

Blake cried a bit more as Dbroha stood frozen. Eventually, the girls' noticed him. They walked up to him and Yang placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Dbroha?"

He tensed, spinning to land a hit, only to stop himself. His chest was heaving, but he forced himself to calm down.

"It's over...he...he can't hurt us anymore."

Blake teared up as she heard the crack in Dbroha's voice. He shouldn't have had to see this. The two hugged him as he dug his fingers into Yang's metal arm, scared tears running down his face.

"I'm sorry." Blake told him as his body finally relaxed and he let out a sob.

Chapter 16: Trial By Fire

As Yang, Blake, Dbroha ran to get to the rendezvous point with the others, a massive roar rang out, shaking the trees.

"What was that!?" Dbroha yelped.

"Trouble." Blake responded.

As they got closer, Dbroha could hear the angered yelling of Cordovine.

"This is your fault! You hear me!"

"Ruby!" Yang yelled as her team burst through.

She ran to them "Yang! Blake! Dbroha! Are you okay?"

The three only stared at the giant robot in front of the cliff, pinned by an armed encased in ice and stone.

"What happened?" Dbroha asked as another roar sounded. "Is that a giant Grimm?"

"Yes." Weiss answered as she looked at them seriously. "And we just ruined the only thing capable of stopping it."

They all looked at each other in horror, unsure of what to do, as Cordovine continued to curse them. Eventually, they piled into the Manta and began to fly off. Ruby and Dbroha both stood by the door as they watched the elderly woman's robot struggle as she screamed in frustration. When she was out of sight, the gang quickly got Yang, Blake, and Dbroha up to speed about their battle with the mech after they went offline.

Blake's ears flattened. "I'm so sorry!"

"Don't be." Yang said firmly, sitting beside her and holding her hand. "This isn't on you."

"But-,"

"It was Adam's fault!" Dbroha added in, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Ruby nodded as she knelt in front of her teammate and took her hands. "You're safe. That's all that matters."

They hugged and Ruby shot her sister and brother a warm look. Maria then pipped up.

"I suppose I have to be the bad guy and say it, but getting the Lamp to Atlas is still our top priority. And right now we have the perfect opportunity to head straight for it. We may not get another chance like this."

"No way!" Yang shot down.

Weiss nodded, her arms crossed. "We can't leave. Not like this."

"It's like you said, a Huntress is supposed to protect others till the bitter end." Blake affirmed.

Ruby, Oscar, and Maria looked at each other, before the girl in the hood shrugged. Maria turned back and began to steer in the direction of the battle as Ruby began to lay out the battle plan.

"We need to head for the Leviathan. Jaune, can you and Ren be ready to mask our ship?"

The two males looked at each other before Ren looked back at her.

"We can manage."

"Any ideas?" Jaune asked.

"I've got one."

"Eyes up, everybody." Qrow warned. "It's back."

The Leviathan rose out of the water and roared. As it approached the shore, the hard light Dust shields rose from the water and were activated, stopping the beast in its tracks. It was only for a moment though as the creature's maw opened as embers spilled from between its teeth. A second later, the Leviathan shot a massive fire breath and scored it against the shield, until it hit the rods, disabling it. It roared again and continued.

"It pushed through." Oscar said in disbelief.

"All squadrons fall back to evacuation procedures." A commander ordered over the coms. "Disengage Leviathan, I repeat disengage! Over!"

"No, wait!" Ruby yelled as she ran forward and grabbed the radio.

"Ruby!" Qrow protested.

"We can stop it!"

"Who is this?!" The commander demanded. "Identify yourself."

"I'm a Huntress." Ruby answered. "My team and I are heading for the Leviathan and can weaken it for you to attack."

"We can?" Dbroha asked, unsure of what the heck she was planning.

She turned back to him. "I can."

"Ruby." Maria said. "When I said trial by fire-,"

"I did it at Beacon and then at the farm."

"Do you think you can do it now?" Weiss asked.

"I don't have a choice."

"Manta 5.1." The soldier's voice came back on. "Your ship is currently flagged as hostile. You will receive no support. Over."

"Fine." Ruby stated. "We'll do it alone if we have to. We'll hit it while it's stopped at the next barrier. Ren, you're up."

Jaune placed a hand on Ren's shoulder, and both activated their Semblances. Ren cloaked the entire ship, making it invisible to the Gryphons attacking the fleet. Maria weaved through the carnage as they headed straight for the Leviathan that was fast approaching the final barrier. As Maria dove at it, Dbroha saw the creature preparing to blast the shield.

"Pull up! It's gonna fire!"

Maria jerked the wheel as the ship barely skimmed past the creature's face as it fired upon the barrier, tearing through it and barely missing Argus. Ren and Jaune slumped to the ground.

"That's all I've got." Jaune huffed as the dragon and Nora got them both to their feet.

"It's on the move again!" Blake reported. "We need to stop it!"

"What do we do?" Yang asked Ruby who then looked at Weiss.

"I've got a plan. But I still need time!"

"I'll distract it." Dbroha said confidentially.

"Are you crazy?!" Oscar yelled as Dbroha headed for the bay doors.

"I doubt that thing can hit a small, fast moving target. I'll try to keep its attention, but Ruby, hurry!"

Giving no chance for protest, the young boy plunged himself into the air and began flying directly at the Leviathan.

"All right, ugly, let me show you how you really breathe fire!"

Dbroha blasted the side of the creature's face as he swept past it. It growled in annoyance and swiped at him, but he was long gone by that point. Dbroha repeatedly began dove bombing and evading the creature. While it was trying to track his movements, Dbroha saw Yang and Nora open fire on the beast as the Manta swept past on the opposite side. It swiped again, but missed as the ship and the dragon began hitting it from opposite sides to keep its focus split. Only when he flew over the beast did he see Ruby aboard Weiss's Queen Lancer summon stop dead in front of the monster's face. His eyes widened in terror as Ruby attempted to concentrate, only for her to look up in terror as the creature leered over her.

"Oi! Eyes on me, stupid!" Dbroha yelled as he smacked the beast's head.

It remained focused on Ruby and it was then he saw the Lamp locked to her belt.

The Lamp that attracted Grimm.

"No! No! No! No!" Ruby panicked.

Dbroha gritted his teeth as he dove for his sister, the Leviathan rearing back to snap her. As the creature prepared to end them both, Ruby called out.

"JINN!"

Dbroha came to a screeching halt in the air as the world around them froze. He then landed on the Lancer and hugged Ruby's waist. She hugged him back and the two became aware someone was watching them from behind. Ruby sighed.

"I'm sorry. I don't have a question for you, I just...I just needed a little more time."

They let go and turned to face Jinn, who had a stony expression on her face. She was clearly unamused.

"I know, and though neither of you seek knowledge, just this once, I shall give it freely: I will not allow you to use me without a question again." Both looked at her nervously as her lips curled into a smile. "Even if this was clever."

They nodded and Ruby turned back to face the approaching Leviathan. She closed her mind and thought of her happiest memories at Beacon: their first day together, Weiss accepting her as leader; Blake cheering in Port's class; Yang encouraging her; the whole team looking over Vale after the breach; meeting Dbroha; him choosing to trust them; them becoming a family; their many friends; then...Summer. She smiled back at her daughter and Ruby felt the power burst through her. Dbroha covered his eyes as a blinding silver light engulfed them. When he could see again, he saw the Leviathan, petrified. He blinked in amazement as he could hear the people of Argus cheering. He hugged her.

"You did it!"

"I had a little help." She teased.

Suddenly, they both heard cracking and looked up to see the head of the Leviathan was now un petrified and was thrashing about.

"It's still alive!?" Dbroha yelled as he prepared to unload every blast of fire he had left in him.

"I'll take it from here." Cordovine's voice interrupted.

The siblings looked to see the mech, now missing an arm, heading straight toward them.

It charged the Leviathan as its hand transformed into a drill.

"I was sworn to protect the people!"

The mech leapt for the beast and drove the drill deep into its neck. The Leviathan screeched in pain and slowly turned to dust. Cordovine then approached the duo, opening the front of the mech to look at them, face to face.

"Thank you." Ruby said before looking down. "And, I'm sorry."

Cordovine kept her head held high. "The Atlas military can handle the stragglers."

Dbroha raised a brow at her. "Wait, are you-?"

"I don't think anyone would notice if one more ship went missing in my...lengthy report."

The siblings smiled as Cordovine turned the mech around and headed back to base.

Dbroha sighed in relief.

"Well, I think that went well."

Ruby chuckled and ruffled his hair.

(Timeskip)

Dbroha was slumped against Weiss, completely exhausted. It was nighttime by now, and they had been flying for quite some time.

"We should have just enough fuel to make it to Atlas." Maria announced.

"Thanks Ms. Calavera." Ruby responded.

Dbroha let out a yawn as Weiss allowed him to lay his head in her lap.

"Tired?"

"Exhausted."

She ran her fingers through his hair and he hummed in approval.

"You have every right to be. You were very brave today."

He smiled up at her. "Well I have some good role models."

Weiss gave him a small smile before glancing over to Yang and Blake.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that nightmare, but I'm glad Yang and Dbroha we're there for you in time."

The two girls' expressions softened as Yang gently grabbed Blake's hand.

"We were there for each other."

"Took the words right out of my mouth." Nora agreed, leaning against Jaune.

Ruby smiled at the heartwarming scene before everyone turned their eyes to her. She held up her hands.

"Hey, stop it."

"You petrified a Leviathan, after diving down the barrel of a cannon!" Ren said enthusiastically.

"Uh, oh don't act like you all haven't done crazy stuff before." She stuttered before motioning nervously and dramatically towards Oscar. "D-duh I mean, Oscar made a successful crash landing!...he's a 14 year old farm hand!"

"That was seriously impressive." Jaune admitted as everyone looked over to said farm boy.

"We'd have been stranded without you." Blake pointed out.

"I..." He hesitated. "Thanks, but...I've been meaning to tell you guys...I didn't land the ship on my own."

"Ozpin took control?" Nora asked.

"No, he guided me...then he was gone again."

"Does that mean he's been watching us this whole time?" Yang asked.

"I don't know." Oscar admitted. "But at least that means he's looking out for us."

"He'll be back." Dbroha said confidently. Oscar looked at him in surprise as he sat up. "Oz is gone now, but I don't think it's for good."

Oscar took comfort in his words as Qrow's voice called out.

"Hey, if you've never seen Atlas in person before, you don't want to miss this."

The gang stood up and walked to the front of the ship to see the view. Ruby shook slightly and Dbroha took her hand.

"Is it weird I'm slightly nervous?"

"That would make two of us."

"No." Yang jumped in. "I'll believe we made it to Atlas when I see it."

"Well, believe it." Weiss stated as the city came into view.

Dbroha stared in amazement: an entire city, floating as if it were a cloud! It was incredible.

"Ya know, you make the trip over and over, but you never get used to that view." Maria joked as he eye went bad again. "Oh come on!"

Ruby and Dbroha leaned against Qrow's chair, just taking in the view. However, Ruby saw her little brother freeze as his eyes wandered up.

"Dbroha, what is it?"

"Weiss, is that normal?"

Everyone's gaze followed the bows as they saw a massive fleet of ships stationed above the city.

"The Atlas Air Fleet?" Weiss questioned. "I heard our ships were called back, but-,"

Qrow finished her thought.

"They're set up like they're expecting an attack."

It was then the coms came back on.

"Manta 5.1, welcome home."
