Jaime hadn't felt this kind of elation in years. Perhaps in all his years. He could scarcely remember feeling so content and happy. Had he truly never know joy until this moment? Set during 8.04 during the Winterfell feast Jaime starts to come to grips with his growing honorable and not-so-honorable feelings for a certain Lady Knight.

Written immediately after 8x04. In which I refused to believe Jaime is THAT much of an ass that he'd go running back to Cersei without having a good reason for it (and I still like my version better than what happened on the actual show, oops).

"That's quite a journey, Bran," Tyrion says, gazing into those dark Stark eyes and finding no certain emotion. Almost as if Bran feels everything there is to feel and nothing all at once.
