Kwai Chang Caine recalls when he met the love of his life, and the mother of his son, Peter

I am going to say this UP FRONT! This is strictly a work of fiction. Nothing like this could ever happen. Please read the synopsis before reading the first part.

Time: Six Months after Peter was fostered by the Blaisdells. Characters: Peter, Kelly, and Paul Story: Peter learns what Valentine's Day is all about (from a child's perspective) but also struggles with a hidden demon within himself yet to be revealed.

Time: Three months after Caine left Peter on the street. Storyline: Caine reflects deeply on his own reasons for leaving, and finds a deep pain within himself.

A two part story. Kwai Chang Cane is rejected by his family.

Caine tells his grandfather that he must leave and why. (This is a Kung Fu story. Without Kung Fu there would be no KFTLC.)

On a hot summer day, Peter reflects on the past and finally understands one particular lesson.

This takes place over a 15 year period, from one Chinese New Year that would bring tragedy to another that would bring great joy.
