Elizabeth is announced Killed In Action during her tour of duty in Iraq in 2004. But, is that what truly happened? Soon enough, Henry will find out that no it isn't. An expanded version of The People Left Behind.

Drabbles

[BTS Scene from S4E21] While preparing for her fast, Henry mentions the "infamous Florida road trip of aught-six," and Elizabeth thus threatens their marital relations for the next month. But what really happened on that trip, and will her threat hold up?

[BTS scene of S1E15 and S3E2] "You're the one that wanted to go for three," Henry says in February of 2015. Upon further thought, Elizabeth decides he's wrong, and she turns it back around on him when she gets the perfect opportunity, "You're the one that wanted to go for three," she says in October 2016 to a frustrated Henry. Who's actually to blame for kid number three?

Elizabeth and Henry are learning to tango for their vow renewal (5x10). They're interrupted by a phone call from Jay, but it comes just after the instructor tells Elizabeth dance isn't math, and she's rather happy that she doesn't have to continue the lesson. Later that day, Henry teaches Elizabeth the tango in the comfort of their own home.

"Turn the lights out, please," Elizabeth instructs before bed, standing up against her dresser and feeling a bit self-conscious. Elizabeth grapples with her new body in this one shot after having their first baby, but Henry is ultimately the one to remind her just how amazing her body is by working his magic.

This will be the story of Elizabeth's life starting with her parents meeting and beyond

Elizabeth is in her second semester as a political science professor at UVA, and Henry is going on a few years as a religion professor there. A group of their students have decided that they seem lonely and devise plans to hook them up. "Should we just tell them we're married?" Henry asks her. As her husband stared at the doctor dressed in blue scrubs, her head dropped— she knew what had happened in her office. And, like the first time (and the few times that followed), she was embarrassed. Was it bad that she wished that she'd actually had a heart attack?

A smile took her face remembering the time she called Blake saying "I have a crazy job offer for you" and he said yes even before she told him what the job would be. Crazy how loyalty works. After a long, exhausting day at work, Henry picks Elizabeth's foot up and starts working his magic on her muscles, putting her in a sort of comatose state. [One shot]

Henry and Elizabeth meet in a diner when they're both 21 and Henry's on temporary leave and stationed in Virginia for the time being. Sparks fly between them, but Henry's only on leave for two weeks. How will they handle Henry's redeployment? Will it put too much of a strain on the new relationship or are they destined to survive it?

Elizabeth and Henry spend a rainy day on the horse farm. (Set in 2009, pre MSec days).

Maybe they'll be okay. But only maybe. Takes place after Geneva and before Pakistan.
