The Mask gets found by a bunch of confused Pokemon and turns the pocket monsters upside down; and Meloetta with her icing craving happens to be his most particular target!

While searching for Groudon, Team Magma finds a hidden box. Inside, a strange mask. Maxie studies the mask to find out that it was created by the norse god Loki, and that it has many powers. Using its power, he becomes a sassy, sharp-dressing man, someone he's always wanted to be. But when other bosses, including Archie, learn of it, they race to snatch it's power.

Misty finds a wooden mask and she puts it on so she can get Ash but finds out later she doesn't want him.

Misty is just finishing her show, when she sees a green glow. When she gets to where the green glow was, she finds nothing but a green wooden mask. When she puts it on, she becomes a green-headed mischief maker, who wants any girl she sees to be just like her.
