Chapter one : Legends Never Die
Cynder POV,
Fluttering my eyes open, a ray of sunshine hit my tired eyes. Adjusting to the light I slowly lift my head to look at my surroundings. The sky was clear of clouds and the grass was the greenest that you could ever imagine a large waterfall in the distance with large trees huddling in small patches.
Observing all of this I concluded that I was somewhere in avalar
" SPYRO" I gasp, looking around I see no sign of my companion. Spyro if you're dead i'll find another way to kill you. Beginning to walk around my anxiety only worsens Spyro. Please don't be dead, you are the one who kept it from tearing apart. You are not allowed to die and not get to enjoy it." and with that I take off to the sky making my task to find the purple dragon before anyone or anything else can.
Going south I fly over the beautiful valley as the planet seemed to be given a second chance. The flowers were blooming, the water was crystal clear, it truly was a sight to see but she could not stop right now.
I was right beside him as he did it. He should be around here somewhere heading towards a small forest growth I land and choose to take a look inside.
The cool air hit my scales as I entered the forest, the smell of deer and sap flooded my nose, another dragon and berries waited, another dragon taking another waft of the air. I smell another dragon nearby. I follow the tail of the scent until I fall upon a disturbing scene
The branches of trees were broken and a large streak of grass ripped out of the ground with small blood splatters here and there in the name of malefore.
Following the loose soil there was a small valley in the ground and laying in the center of it was the cause."Spyro!" I exclaimed, no response "Spyro..?" I slowly approached the wounded savior. He was a mess he laid on his right side falling away from Cynder with deep gashes in his side and a wing with a few small holes all bleeding profusely. My head shot around for a solution as I spotted a large patch of red gems not to far away
Dashing over, I calculate the amount of visible damage on her friend and crush she uses the formula of how many red gems to give him. One of the few things that she found helpful in her travels from Volteers classes. Ok if i'm correct that means about 7 and ½ gems she hastily grabs seven ruby gems and slices the eighth in half before crushing one side and letting the healing effect do their thing. Retreating back to her friend she places them around a circle with the middle of it being Spyro. Going around a second time she crushes them letting all of the healing properties be consumed by the purple hero. Slowly the bleeding stops and the gashes seal up even though some of the things she did not notice started to correct themselves. Moments later there was a sudden gasp of air as his breathing returned making his chest slowly rise and fall before there was a jolt in his muscles and he slowly started to bring his head up. This sight made Cynder cry silently knowing that her closest companion was not leaving her just yet. "Cynder are you alright" a soothing voice questioned,
shaking back to reality she pounced on top of him and started balling "Cynder are you alright, are you hurt!" he asked again with worry clear in his voice. " Sp-Sp-Spyro I-i thou-Thought you le-left me" i choke out sobbing hard into his shoulder refusing to let go in case he was taken away again "I'm sorry Cynder I didn't mean to worry you" he replied sadly
"Spyro?" "Yes Cynder" he stated with the voice that melted your heart "Can you promise me something. Can you promise never to leave me like that again? I thought that I was going to be alone forever, don't make me experience that again". "I will try but if you ever get into trouble like that again I will gladly trade mine for yours." This sentence shocked me to my very core, not ever knowing how far he would go for her in need."So if I don't get into life or death situations again you will stay?"
"Cynder you should know that I will be right beside you whenever you need. I will never leave you in hardship or worry , I am yours to guide.." And with that I slid him over and snuggled into his chest seeking every last morsel of warmth he could offer and slowly drifted to sleep.
