The sun's beams provided a nasty heat, the rays lighting up a luscious island. Various trees sprouted up into the air in dark shades of green and brown. They stood proudly in the background, as the camera focussed in on the foreground a little stronger.
A shoddy wooden cabin was seen standing slightly off to the side. In front of it was a clearing and, on the other side, was a mangy-looking hall, windows peering in to see two benches with a kitchen, if you could even call it that, soaking up dirt in the back.
The camera continued, zoning in on the waves crashing off the sandy beach. Loose parasols were tucked into the sand, with remains of blankets laid out. A crab snipped its way across the sand, a seagull looking down at it with a plastic container wrapper stuck to its claw.
The most prominent thing about the island however was a mountainous region located in the middle of the whole land. A brown rocky terrain, with multiple jagged protrusions and unstable peaks littered the perimeter, as a crater was identifiable at the top of the hill. Smoke billowed and plumed outwards, in dark ashy clouds and the faint sound of bubbling could be heard.
The camera whooshed its way back to the dock area, where a middle-aged man stood with a shit-eating grin on his face. His beady black eyes skittered across the wooden dock, where he made eye contact with the camera. His black hair was gelled carefully, pushed away from his face and falling back in his so-called, gorgeous locks. He brushed his hand off his jaw, his rugged arm scratching off his slight stubble. His dark cyan shirt complimented his khaki pants, and his white undershirt left his arms covered. He walked confidently on the dock in his navy sneakers, a massive grin on his face.
"Yo!" He announced, placing a hand on his hips. "I'm Chris McClean, and hey, it sure has been a while."
"You may recognise me from my hit movie, Greatminton, but that's a story for another day," He toyed, shrugging it off and gesturing towards the island.
"You see, we have invited fourteen teenagers to this island to win a cash prize of $100,000!" Chris exclaimed, throwing his hands up into the air with his charismatic smirk.
"It won't exactly be easy though," Chris toyed, winking at the camera. "They'll have to deal with the wildlife, plantlife and the human life that inhabits the island. Human life refers to each other after all!"
Chris pulled out a walkie-talkie from his back pocket, whispering something into it before turning his attention back to the camera.
"After all, things are sure to get heated here on…"
"Total!"
"Drama!"
"INFERNO ISLAND!"
The camera starts recording, speeding through the island. It passes out Chris who is standing on the dock, rubbing his hands maniacally looking out towards the island where the volcano was bubbling. The camera sped through the forests, pausing at a small clearing where Indigo sat alone.
"Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine."
Indigo was scribbling words into a journal, anxiously looking around as he wrote. He paused, raising the pen to his lips before getting a shaky feeling. He turned around and saw a swarm of bees as he yelped in shock and sped away.
"You guys are on my mind."
Indigo ran through the clearing, finding himself in an odd situation as he was racing with André and Jolt. As Indigo chose to dive into a bush, Jolt and André had determined looks on their faces as they approached the cabin, with Jolt narrowly skidding her way into first place. She taunted André, who had a scowl on his face. André seemed to be mocking Jolt over her height, but Jolt fired back by kicking André in his kiwis, leaving the man to crumple to the floor.
"You asked me what I wanted to be, and now I think the answer is plain to see."
The camera continued on its path, diving into the mess hall. Ian and Sal were seen inside, the latter precariously holding a match that Ian was stressed over. Ian tried to reach over to grab it out of Sal's hands, but Sal tossed it behind him and stuck his tongue out at Ian, not realising that the mess hall was slowly catching aflame. Sal and Ian locked eyes, with Ian attempting to run out of the mess hall but tripping on his way while Sal ran into the kitchen in an attempt to find a fire extinguisher.
"I wanna be famous."
Malcolm walked into the mess hall but saw the disaster that was occurring inside. He slowly walked back out, pretending he hadn't seen anything. An idea came to mind, however, as he sauntered his way over to Chef, whispering something into his ear. Chef jolted upwards, sprinting into the mess hall and dragging Ian and Sal out by the scruffs of their neck as Malcolm watched on, laughing at the scene.
"I wanna live close to the sun."
The camera made its way to the dock, peering into the water. Rina and Toxa were racing each other as they both swam furiously and Kai watched from the dock in his swimsuit. Kai was yelling in support for both of them, but Toxa dipped under the water out of his vision. Kai squinted to get a better view, watching as Rina suddenly was dragged underneath the water and Toxa took the lead. However, Rina dragged Toxa down as the two girls started clawing at each other furiously. Kai's eyes widened, as he slowly walked away from the dock, whistling as if he hadn't seen anything.
"Well, pack your bags 'cause I've already won."
On the beach were Kendra and Clayton, both ogling at Kai. Kendra whispered something to Clayton who laughed, saying something back at her. Kendra then added something, standing up and brushing the sand off of her. Clayton protested, but Kendra laughed and started strutting her way away from the beach and towards Kai. Clayton got up, trying to grab a hold of Kendra but missed awfully and went face-first into the sand with a groan.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way. I'll get there one day."
The camera made its way into one of the cabins. Inside, Madison was doing Aakira's makeup, fiddling with her plentiful amount of brushes and she applied blush to her cheeks. Aakira laughed, seemingly delivering some sort of monologue towards Maddy as the two girls chatted away with each other. A sudden boom grabbed their attention, as they sprinted out of the cabin to stare at the volcano in worry.
"Cause I wanna be famous."
It turned out that the volcano hadn't erupted at all. Instead, Ebony appeared from amongst the trees, soot covering her face. She smiled widely, with a dazed look in her eyes as the remains of her invention were left in her hand. She gave a thumbs up to the numerous campers who were looking at her before falling to the floor in a heap.
As the song chorused out, clips of the show started to play. Toxa was seen manning a pirate ship, while André and Rina were seen scaling the volcano together. Sal was seen doing a flip from the top of a tree and Maddy was seen wiping sweat off of her brow as she crossed a finish line. The cast was ultimately all seen whistling together around a campfire, as the logo of the season flashed on the screen.
A white ship was sailing around the sea that surrounded the island, slowly approaching it. Its metallic coating reflected the sun shining down, as the hustle and bustle of the fourteen campers was causing chaos aboard the boat. One woman needed a partial break from all of this, as she stood by the railing looking down at the ocean.
Her thick black hair was kept straight, adding to the heat she was feeling. Her bangs were cut short, as they covered the top of her forehead but left her the ability to peer at the beauty of the sea with her dark brown eyes. She was Japanese-Korean, the railing reaching comfortably above her stomach with her 5'6 lean stature.
She was dressed in a white dress shirt, her usually black cardigan off to keep herself cool. She had a black tie, as well as a black mini skirt that stopped just at her mid-thigh and she wore long songs that were in white, strips of black circling around the top of them by her lower thigh. She wore black school shoes, completing her outfit as she peered at the sea.
"Kage, this whole thing was for us to do together," She mumbled, reminiscing about her twin brother whom she had to abandon to compete.
"Apologies for interrupting," A male voice coughed out from behind her. The girl whipped around to look at him.
The man gave a friendly smile, his emerald eyes twinkling at her. He towered over her at an impressive 6'2 with a muscular figure. His dirty blonde hair sat untamed on his head. It was shaggy, with messy curls that framed his face.
The man was also suffering a small bit with the heat in his outfit; His attire was made up of a three-piece maroon suit. With a white dress shirt poking out underneath the blazer, he also wore dark brown suit shoes that the girl noticed were polished carefully and his outfit was accessorised with the colour gold, with gold buttons on his blazer as well as a gold pocket watch that was tucked into his blazer.
"You're completely fine," the girl commented, giving a friendly smile back at him. "I'm Aakira Jeung."
She stuck out her hand, as the man looked down at it in surprise. He grinned, grabbing Aakira's hand and firmly shaking it. Aakira raised her eyebrow at the technique but chose not to comment as she waited for the man's name.
"You may refer to me as Kai Bour-" The man claimed, before choking on his words and thinking carefully.
"Kai Bour?" Aakira asked, confused by the hesitation. "Are you sure?"
"Apologies once again," Kai muttered, shaking his head and extending his hand back out. "You may refer to me as Kai Summers."
"That's a bit of a drastic difference," Aakira joked, shaking Kai's hand again and leaning back against the railing. "Are we one hundred per cent positive now?"
"Affirmative Aakira," Kai said with a cheeky grin, winking at her. Aakira laughed at the boy's antics, looking back at the ocean with a grin of her own.
"So, why is it that you are out here?" Kai asked, moving to stand next to the girl and also looking out at the ocean.
"Just thinking about my twin brother," She answered, smiling softly at the ocean. "I made us both sign up, thinking we could have this experience together but it looks like that'll be a play for another time."
"You have a twin as well?" Kai mentioned, surprised. "I had a feeling I would have been the only one."
"That's actually so funny! You were giving me major only-child vibes!"
Kai chuckled, his eyes looking at the ocean with a smirk. Aakira turned to face him, placing her hand on her hip and examining the boy carefully.
"So is your twin here with us?"
"Ah, Kaila? I am afraid not," Kai answered, shaking his head at the idea. "I have a feeling she would hate to be here, whereas this seems like the perfect place for me to be."
"Wait… So you two are Kai and Kaila?" Aakira asked, laughing at the idea. "I thought Kage and Kira were confusing enough!"
Kai chuckled as well. "I suppose that we could be a powerful K quadrant."
Aakira snorted, lightly pushing Kai at his joke. "Man, you're actually kinda funny!"
Kai raised his eyebrow at Aakira and smirked. "You have only met me, there is plenty more that is in stock."
"Okay! That's it!" Aakira exclaimed, pointing her finger into Kai's chest who raised his arms in surrender. "You are my new twin until this competition is over."
Kai chuckled once again, nodding his head in agreement. "I suppose I will be able to agree to these terms."
Elsewhere on the boat was a poolside area, although one had to question why a boat had a pool in the first place. Isn't the surrounding water a pool itself? One woman thought of the idea, as she lounged on her sunbed.
Her pastel blue hair fell in luscious waves, tied back into a bubble ponytail with her pearl ties. Her ocean blue eyes were examining the figure in the pool, as she focussed in on her relaxation. Her slim, lean figure stretched out at a comfortable 5'11, as the sun beamed down on her pale skin. The French-Canadian woman used her hand to shield her eyes from the sun, as she rose out of her seat.
She smoothed out her asymmetrical dark royal blue skirt, her leg poking out through the slit of the maxi skirt. As she slid back on her sandals, she tidied up her white dress shirt and adjusted her sleeves to roll them back. She looked over at the other woman uninvitingly as her pearl necklace refracted the light that shined down.
"Is there any reason you're in the pool?" She asked, finally breaking the silence between her and the other girl.
The woman in the pool turned to look at the voice, smirking at the question. Her dark purple hair glistened with the droplets of water, it tied back in its usual style of a half-up-half-down placement. The black ribbon was soaked yet was still completing the job of keeping her hair tied back. Her pale skin was slightly freckled, and her face was studded with multiple piercings; From her lip and tongue to her ears and nose, she had them all. Her menacing features didn't stop just there, her eyes glittered with her yellow contacts as she pushed herself out of the water.
"In your own clothes," the blue-haired woman added distastefully, silently judging the outfit.
Off to the side of the pool, was a plaid black and white cardigan and a pair of distressed black jeans. Also, there were a pair of short black combat boots. In the pool, the girl was currently in her underwear, however still wore her signature black choker and tight-fitting white crop top. She pulled herself up and out, shaking her muscular figure dry at a height of an even six feet.
"Why? Toxa Pexine thinks she looks good," Toxa commented, as the other girl stuck up her nose yet again.
"Well I, Rina Belle, don't see the point of the pool when we'll be at the beach soon enough," Rina rebutted with a shake of her head.
"Is the pretty girl afraid of getting her hair wet?" Toxa asked, pulling her jeans back on and tying her cardigan around her waist. She narrowed her eyes at Rina, who met her stare with the same coldness.
"As if. They call me Prima Rina," Rina scoffed, pressing her hand on her chest. "I'm the Living Mermaid of Scarlett's Club."
"And she won't join Toxa in the water," Toxa answered back, shaking her wet hair and flicking it into Rina's face who stared at her in a huff.
"Please. After you were in that pool, there's definitely a disease of some sort swimming around in there."
Toxa scowled, glaring down at Rina and sauntering over to her. Rina could feel Toxa's breath on her cheek, as the woman muttered something into her ear.
"Don't worry babe, Toxa don't bite."
Toxa walked away, leaving a gobsmacked Rina to just watch as she left. She shook her head, turning back to her seat and placing herself back upon it.
"Calm down, Rina," She mumbled, shaking her head free of her worries. "You're in this for Quaker."
On the other end of the boat was a slight shuffleboard section. Cooped under one of the umbrellas was a male figure, scrawling something into a book he held close to his pale skinny chest. The man wasn't the tallest around, standing at a height of 5'6. It didn't exactly seem that way, as he was cooped down on the floor with his pen scratching the pages of the book. His dark green eyes scanned the area in front of him, words flowing on the page as his messy black hair fell slightly over his eyes.
He tugged on the sleeve of his oversized dark grey sweatshirt, pondering his next word as he looked at the ruckus in front of him. His black and white trainers were used as a makeshift desk, as he sat cross-legged on the floor. His tight black jeans hugged his skinny frame well, as a loud yell grabbed his attention.
"WATCH OUT!"
It was unfortunate for the poet, not the most athletic person. His reaction wasn't speedy enough to avoid the weighted putt flying into his face as he groaned in pain, crumpling to the ground entirely.
The man who had yelled the warning winced, leaning on his wooden stick apologetically. His fiery red hair was gelled back and stuck up in a sporadic quiff. His bright green eyes had a look of regret, as he walked over to the guy on the ground, his lean figure with a slight tan extending a hand out to him. He wasn't much taller, standing at 5'8 but radiated a clear amount of confidence.
The man was in a white T-shirt, with a striped red and white button-up jacket shirt over his arms. The buttons were left undone, acting as more of a jacket than a shirt. He had baggy blue jeans on, with white sneakers as he gestured his hand out to the guy on the ground.
"Yo, sorry about that dude," He commented, grinning down at the boy.
"You're fine," The other guy mumbled, averting his eyes away.
"I'm Salamander Ashe, but you can call me Sal," The redhead continued, grabbing one of the boy's arms and hoisting him up.
"Indigo Winters," he muttered, still not looking Sal directly in the eyes.
"You're lucky that no one got hurt," A snooty voice called out, causing both Sal and Indigo to glance over.
The person who had spoken was a man who stood at a confident 5'8. His curvy body stood passionately as he looked on at the duo, his hand confidently on his hip and his other shaking his hand in disapproval. His blond hair fell in tight curls around his face, and he had a rosy tone to his skin. His green eyes were hidden by his black-framed glasses, and he started walking over to the two boys.
"I mean, I would hate for there to be a disqualification this early."
The guy was wearing a white dress shirt that was tucked into his light blue jeans that flattered his perky bottom. He wore a beige sweater vest over the shirt, as well as a neat pair of beige sneakers. He looked down at the boys, studying them meticulously.
"Uhm, sorry?" Sal asked, looking down at Indigo to confirm. "Who exactly are you?"
"I'm the one who's going to run away with this competition," He laughed, light shining off his glasses and practically blinding Sal. "I mean you might as well give up now!"
"That seems like a long name…" Sal pondered, letting it roll off his tongue. "The one who's going to run away with this competition. You have to have a nickname or something."
The man blinked in confusion, glancing down at Indigo who blushed and looked away, writing another note in his poetry book. "You're joking?"
"No, I'm Salamander," Sal replied, smiling brightly and gesturing out his hand to the guy.
"Malcolm Lake," He huffed, taking the hand and shaking it confidently.
"Where did you get that nickname from?" Sal asked, bright-eyed as Indigo snorted at the comment. He picked himself up of the ground, dusting off his pants as he walked away to a more secluded area leaving an exasperated Malcolm to deal with Sal.
On the inside of the ship was a lounge area, where two people were seen at a makeshift bar and sipping on mocktails. At the bar stood two vastly different drinks, one a bright red and decorated with glitter and heart shapes. The other was a swirling array of shades of blue, purple, black and pink in a celestial mix.
The girl at the bar picked up her red drink while taking a sip. She stood at a confident 5'9, with tanned golden skin and a lean figure. Her hair fell in waves, in a dirty blonde shade. Her dark brown eyes scanned the cocktail, savouring the taste as she pursed her glossy lips.
She was dressed in a floral print crop top that laid off her shoulders. She had a light blue pair of denim jeans on as well, with rips at the knees and a pair of white sneakers. The jeans were cut low, exposing her midriff. She held a pendant closer to her chest that swung from a necklace and she took another drink of her concoction.
"This is honestly so tasty," She complimented, as the guy next to her laughed.
"Obviously! I made it!"
The guy was drinking from his celestial cocktail with a straw. His dark black hair was straight, and his bangs fell just shy of his eyes. The back was in a clear mullet, brushed to the sides in swooping waves. He also possessed dark brown eyes, standing just short of the girl at his height of 5'7. His build was completely average, as his skin shined in its almond shade.
The guy was currently seen in a tight, plain black tank top, that was tucked into his light blue, baggy, ripped denim jeans. It was fastened with a black belt, as he added a pair of black Vans, and had an oversized yellow and black chequered borg jacket on top as well. He also had an accessory of his own, as around his wrist was a bracelet with charms of a lion, crab and candle on it.
"I suppose you're quite talented then, Clayton Lunar," The girl laughed, finishing off her drink and turning her seat to properly face Clayton.
"Well Miss Kendra Regan," Clayton shot back, gulping down the dregs of his own drink. "I suppose it's the luck of the Irish in me."
Kendra laughed, fluttering her eyelashes at Clayton. Clayton was staring at the necklace Kendra was wearing instead, his mind chugging to figure out the significance.
"Okay. Spill the beans," Clayton demanded, pointing at the pendant that was strung to Kendra's chain.
"Oh, this?" Kendra asked, clutching at it and opening it up to show Clayon the picture inside. Kendra was seen in a photo in it, with a girl who looked slightly older than her and had a stressed, yet happy, expression on her face.
"I had two main reasons to join this show," Kendra confessed, gently brushing a piece of hair behind her ear. "One, to find love."
Clayton laughed, extending his hand out. "You and me both!"
Kendra shook her head in laughter, before continuing. "Secondly was to help my sister out. She's struggling with a bit of family drama and I want to be there for her!"
"You know what I always say," Clayton replied, giving a warm smile to her. "Family drama is just character development."
Kendra blinked, before bursting out into laughter. "You don't always say that!"
"Who's to say I don't?" Clayton added with a wink, pointing towards his own reminder of his family. "I have these charms to remind me of people back at home. The crab is myself, since I'm a Cancer and then I have a lion for my… Uhm… Friend… Leo, and a candle for my other friend Chander!"
"You are a lunatic," Kendra said, still laughing as Clayton stuck his tongue out at her.
Also on the inner portion of the ship was a gym area, with various weight machines as well as treadmills and yoga mats. Two people were competing on the treadmills against each other, each keeping a solid pace as neither seemed ready to quit before the other.
A short Filipina girl was on one side, with her honey-brown skin and lean figure keeping an intense pace. She was running a lot faster due to her short height of 5'0, and her dark blue hair fell in a short bob around her head with two space buns. Streaks of yellow ran through it too, as her blue eyes kept a confident glare on her speed.
Wearing high-waisted dark blue cargo pants that dropped to the floor, the girl's blue and white sneakers hit off the treadmill in thunderous strides. She wore a grey sports bra, with straps streaking across her body and she was determined to win this hypothetical race.
The African-American man next to her was providing tough competition, however, with his lean figure and dominant height over her at 6'4. His buzzed pastel pink hair was doused in sweat, as he kept an equally confident look at his speed accelerating with his dark brown eyes. His dark chocolate complexion seemed relaxed and cool, keeping pace with the other girl.
He was wearing a stereotypical baseball uniform in white, with a backwards cap on his head in a red tone. The number sixteen was lettered onto his back in the same shade of red, as he also wore a red undershirt and bright red socks that were tucked into his brown shoes. He confidently placed his hands behind his head as he ran, taunting the other girl.
Unfortunately, this would be his fatal mistake, as the girl turned up both of their treadmills' speeds quickly, leading to the man losing his footing and flying off with a large crash. The girl cheered, pounding her fist in the air as she slowed down to a gentle jog and hopped off the treadmill.
"Jolt Roxas wins yet again!" She celebrated, glancing at the man with a cocky grin.
"You cheater," he growled, picking himself off the ground and cracking his back loose. He glanced at the two treadmills that were practically smoking from the overexertion.
"Hey, man. Don't hate the player, hate the game," Jolt replied, grabbing her towel and patting herself off from any sweat.
"Well, I, André Smith, am supposed to be the player," the man replied, reaching over the girl to grab his own towel. "Check the uniform."
"Well, André," Jolt replied, sizing up her opponent. "You may be the player, but you're also the loser today."
"Doesn't mean much coming from such a shortie," André mocked, towering over the Jolt. Jolt growled, bringing her fist up and colliding it off André's stomach, causing the man to keel over.
"What the f-"
"Don't mess with something you can't handle," Jolt snapped back, jamming her foot down on André's for good measure. André yelped in pain, both clutching at his stomach and hobbling around on one foot as Jolt looked on in amusement.
"Oh I can't wait to beat you this season," André replied bluntly glaring at Jolt. Jolt laughed pointing at the treadmills.
"Notice how you didn't say again?" Jolt scoffed, pointing at her his hair with an intrigued look. "What's the deal with this so-called, macho man having pink hair anyway?"
André looked away embarrassed. This piqued Jolt's interest as she looked on with her hands crossed in anticipation.
"I lost a dare, yo?" André confessed glaring at Jolt. "What about you and your blue hair?"
"Huh, this?" Jolt asked, grabbing a strand of her own hair. "I just pull it off Pinky."
The camera zoned in on the last three campers who were crowded in some type of bedroom on the ship. On top of one of the bunk beds was a girl who was tinkering away at some contraption.
Her dark brown eyes were framed with black glasses as she fiddled away with her tongue sticking out. She had cocoa skin and her unruly black hair was fluffed up in afro, where she pulled a screwdriver out to continue to mess with the device in her hands. She had a curvy figure and was cross-legged on the bed masking her 5'4 height.
She wore a pastel yellow knitted sweater that was slightly cropped. She also wore a pair of denim blue overalls, with a tool kit fastened around her waist. Her black and white shoes finished off her ensemble, as she put the final touch on the thingamajig.
"I think I got it!" She said slowly, gesturing at the weird-looking toaster-esque advice on her lap.
The man in the room glanced up in confusion. His dark brown hair was tousled in a messy style, swept out of his eyes in a side part. He rubbed his jaw, his short box beard scratching the surface of his hand. He had a light Sienna tan and had a toned figure without a crazy amount of muscle. He stood at 5'11, just able to see the girl on the bed without straining himself too much.
He wore a pair of black jeans, with no crazy accessories. His olive-coloured T-shirt was also rather genetic, as were his green sneakers. He checked the watch he didn't have on his wrist, before glancing back up.
"Got what?" The man asked as someone tugged his arm in confusion.
"What did she get?" A high-pitched female voice asked from next to the guy, not quite able to see that high.
She was a full foot shorter than the man, standing at 4'11 and easily being the shortest member on the boat. Her skin was very pale, but it was clear she had come prepared, her skin glowing from the makeup she had put on. From her glossy lips to her pink upper eyelids, the girl had a whole face ready for the cameras. Her petite figure wasn't exactly any help to see what was going on, as her fluffy blonde hair fell in slight waves down her back, with bangs to match.
She was also dressed in a cropped knitted sweater, this one however being in a hot pink shade. She matched this with some light blue high-waisted jeans and some white boots to finish her look. She added a gold necklace, and a gold bracelet on hand as well as she attempted to jump up to catch a peek at what the other girl was creating.
"I can't quite see!" She moaned, her legs getting tired from leaping to no avail.
"Oh sorry!" The guy apologised, looking down at her. He pondered about what to do, ultimately choosing to lean down and give the girl a piggyback in order to let her see.
"It wasn't your fault at all!" She thanked him, climbing on top and getting a good view of what was happening. "I'm Madison Innis, but all my friends just call me Maddy."
"Maddy, huh?" The guy muttered, Maddy barely being a burden on his shoulders. "Why does that sound so familiar?"
Maddy giggled, pulling out her phone and dangling it in front of the guy's face. "I suppose I do have a little bit of a following online."
"Wait!" The other girl paused, glancing up from her invention for a moment and across at the girl. "Aren't you GlammyMaddy? I love your videos!"
"That's where I know you from!" The guy added, snapping his figures, and almost toppling Maddy off of him. Maddy giggled both in alarm and in embarrassment.
"Awh thanks…" She started, before pausing.
"Ebony Williams," The other girl mentioned, giving a subtle wave.
"Ian Manachevitz," The guy introduced, copying the wave and yet again almost knocking Maddy out.
"Well thank you, Ebony and Ian!" Maddy chirped but directed her attention to the toaster. "But what on earth is that!"
"It's my latest invention!" Ebony claimed, presenting it to the other two. "I call it… The bread-warmer-inator!"
To any normal person, they'd clearly be able to tell that it was a toaster. Alas, it was Maddy and Ian who 'Oohed and Ahhed' like Ebony was Da Vinci himself.
"You mean I can have toast whenever I want!?" Ian asked excitedly, as Ebony blushed and nodded in approval.
Ian whooped, jumping and pumping his fist into the air. Unfortunately, the third time was the charm as the momentum finally caught up to Maddy. The sudden movement knocked Maddy from his shoulders as she went plummeting ti the ground with a loud scream. Ian winced, turning down to help her as Ebony hopped down to help the influencer as well.
While many took the opportunity to vibe on the ship, Chris yawned watching the security cameras. He was cooped up in a hidden office on the island, his own personal area of the island that would be his own despite the fourteen teenagers that would soon join him. He grabbed a walkie-talkie on the desk, pressing the button and dialling the captain of the ship.
"Hey Chef," Chris groaned into the device, as the screen split to show Chef Hatchet driving the ship.
Chef sighed, picking up and answering the device while keeping his eyes on the waters. They were approaching the island and it was nothing more than a ten-minute ride. It was practically on the horizon.
"What is it, Chris?"
"I'm BORED!"
"We're ten minutes out," Chef replied, rolling his eyes. "Hold on to your horses, would you?"
"Hmmm, how about nope!" Chris replied, laughing as he rooted through his drawers and pulled out a red button from one of them. "I'm thinking we'll do something a lot more fun instead!"
"Chris, I know what you're thinking and do not!" Chef cried out, looking towards the island with fear in his eyes. "They haven't even met you yet."
Chris cackled, ignoring Chef pressing down on a different button labelled intercom. His voice rang loud and clear across the ship through the multiple speakers scattered on the ship, as all the different pairs and trios turned to listen to the scratching voice coming from the nearest announcer.
"Attention campers! I hope you're ready for your first challenge, after all simply making it to the island would be too easy. Let's hope it all goes swimmingly for you guys."
"I'm not going down with this ship this time," Chef cursed, slamming the brakes down and grabbing a lifejacket and lifeboat from underneath his seat. The boat rocked and shook as he did so, as the campers who were inside the ship had joined those who were outside to investigate what was happening.
Chef ran from his spot behind the wheel, out onto the deck and hurled himself off the boat. Mid-air, he deployed the so-called lifeboat, as it inflated into a rubber duckie instead of an actual raft. Chef didn't have any time to regret his decision, as he slotted himself inside of it and started paddling away furiously with his hands.
"What's going on," Rina demanded to know, watching the whole scene play out in front of her, squinting at Chef gaining more and more distance away from the boat and towards the island.
"I don't fancy any of you can ride a ship?" Ian asked with a nervous giggle looking around at the group beside him. Maddy shook her in a pitiful no, while Ebony rooted through her pockets for some invention that could possibly help them to no avail.
"Go on Pinky, I'm sure you can manage it," Jolt snorted, nudging André who growled in response.
"Please, everyone! We have to communicate in order to work together," Kai beckoned in an attempt to raise morale, which did work for some people.

*Temporary Confessional Start*
[Kendra]
Kendra was pictured in a toilet that seemed to be on the ship. Facing her was a camera that caught her with a feverish blush surrounding her face. "Okay. He's a hottie. Maybe he can captain my ship!"
*Temporary Confessional End*
—
"Okay, fine guys!" Clayton announced, making his way to the captain's booth. "I'm sure I'll figure this out. I mean, how hard could driving a ship be?"
"We're doomed," Indigo muttered under his breath, causing Sal to grin at him and wrap his arm around his shoulder.
"Come on, Indigo. Let's have faith in Clayton."
"Well first off, it's sail not drive," Malcolm pointed out, shaking his head at Clayton. "Secondly, I'm pretty sure you need a permit for that."
"Listen, the only experience I have with ships are the ones you see in fandoms," Aakira claimed, glancing around at the other campers. "That and the one from Descendants, but I'm not sure how much use that'll be."
Toxa rolled her eyes, making her way to the control panels. "Idiots."
"Campers, the games begin now," Chris added on the speaker, slamming down on the red button. Toxa didn't even have a chance to attempt to take control of the ship, as an explosion shook the ship violently, tossing them all around sporadically. Toxa cursed as the ship slowly started sinking.
"Your challenge," Chris continued maniacally. "Make it to Inferno Island alive."
Ruckus and hullabaloo spread out, as people were thrown different ways; including off the boat. Others clung onto the guard rails, as flames burst from the remnants of the ship while trying to figure out how to get out of this situation as screams and chaos erupted. The ship was slowly sinking further and further underwater, the scattered campers lost at sea.
"This is not what I had planned for," Ebony yelled, having taken shelter in the wrecks of the inside of the ship. She glanced around at the two people she had found herself stuck with; Aakira and Sal. Sal was valiantly making sure Aakira was alright, as Aakira rubbed her head.
"I whacked my head off the wall," She groaned, as Sal looked for anything that could help them.
"Any ideas? I can't exactly speak for you two, but I don't fancy swimming over."
Ebony looked around the damaged room they found themselves in, the cogs in her mind churning to think of what to do. Rubble pieces of the ceiling were chipping their way down and shattered glass from the bar area littered the floor. She glanced over at some loose blue curtains hanging from one of the windows, to the bright red, wooden door that was struggling to stay on its hinges. She snapped her fingers, realising a potential idea and whipped her screwdriver out from her tools belt, racing over to the door.
"Seems like Ebony has one," Sal commentated, looking over at her work away. Aakira blinked, her eyes darting from Ebony and Sal in bewilderment.
"Go help her!" She yelled, whacking Sal. Sal yelped in surprise, although that whack was enough to give him the push to run over to help Ebony remove the door from its place.
Aakira shook her head, giving a side-eye to the camera that was filming that group and darting over to help the duo by removing the curtains from their rod.
"So is this an invention of some sort," Sal asked Ebony, laying the door flat on the uneven ground, as Ebony rooted through her tools to pull out a drill.
"Kinda," Ebony mumbled, tossing out a rubber duck, a cactus and a roll of sellotape, before finally finding her drill. "I like just tinkering in my spare time, but that doesn't make me an inventor."
"You're being humble," Aakira answered, laying out the curtains next to Ebony. She stood off to the side, letting Ebony work away and decided to work on grabbing the seats from the bar and moving them over to her, beckoning Sal to come help her. "I mean, isn't tinkering the exact same thing as inventing?"
"Only when it doesn't blow up in my face," Ebony replied bashfully, as another explosion rocked the ship violently causing her drill to fly out of her hands.
Sal grabbed the drill that was flying through the air, just before it smacked into Aakira. He handed it back to Ebony, who laughed nervously in response.
"Sorta like that."
"It beats me and Aakira just standing around here," Sal chuckled, as he placed two seats in front of the inventor. Aakira placed down a third and Ebony raised her hand to signal that was enough.
"You guys are helping with the manual parts," Ebony defended, gesturing at her arms. "I wouldn't be able to lift two of those seats, let alone one!"
Sal grinned, flexing his biceps and striking a Superman pose in front of Ebony. Aakira rolled her eyes and laughed at Sal.
"Cool it Clark Kent, and save it until we make it to the island."
Ebony screwed off the cushioning from the bar stools and started fastening them onto the door. Her tongue was stuck out of her mouth, as she fiddled with her hammer and nails, squinting to make sure she hit the screw nail and not her fingernail.
"So what are you calling this invention?" Sal asked curiously, sitting down on the floor next to Ebony cross-legged and gazing at her work in amazement. Ebony jumped, pointing her screwdriver pointedly at Sal.
"It's bad luck to name your invention before it's complete!" She exclaimed as Sal raised his hands in surrender. Aakira snorted, looking out the shattered window to see how the others were faring.
Off in the water outside the sinking ship was André. He groaned, just about staying afloat. He was one of the many people who were thrown overboard by the initial blast. Near enough to him, he was able to see Kendra spewing water from her mouth and Jolt shaking her head, gasping for breaths. Off to the side were four male figures he couldn't quite place, half of whom were struggling to stay afloat. He smirked at Jolt, yelling over at her.
"Last one there is the loser," He taunted, starting off in confident strokes towards the island.
Jolt's eyes narrowed in a confident glare, staring down André gaining distance on her. "Oh, it's so on."
"Oh please! Would someone save me!" Kendra cried out, splashing around and causing a commotion in the water. Her arms waved around and smacked off the water in painful sounds.
Jolt looked conflicted, glancing between Kendra and André. Her conscience ultimately won the battle, as she made her way over to Kendra. André, also hearing the noises of distress, also had his conscience in question as well. He didn't choose to swim back, instead pausing in the middle of the ocean.
"Can you not swim," Jolt asked bluntly, reaching Kendra.
Kendra opened her eyes in relief, clinging her arms around Jolt. It wasn't who she expected though, as she opened her eyes to look Jolt in the eyes.
"Oh, it's just you…" She said disappointedly, looking over at André who was squinting over at them. "I kinda wanted a man."
"Well, fuck you too," Jolt said, rolling her eyes. She looked over at André, beckoning him over.
"OYE, PINKY!"
"She looks like she's fine?" André yelled back.
"Sorry," Kendra apologised, Jolt giving her a confused look. Kendra brought her legs, propelling herself off of Jolt's stomach back into the water. Jolt gasped in pain, sinking slightly as Kendra continued splashing around in the water.
"Oh, help! I need someone to save me!" Kendra exclaimed. André blinked at the scene, with Jolt spluttering as well. He sighed, making his way over to Kendra and Jolt with some rapid speed.
"What's the deal here?" André asked, annoyed, glancing between the two girls. Jolt glared at Kendra, yet was cut off by the blonde before she had a chance to speak.
"Oh, thank heavens you're here André!" Kendra cheered, swimming successfully over to him and wrapping her arms around his shoulders. "I need someone to help me make it to the island!"
"You can swim!?" Jolt yelled aggravated, getting ready to drown the girl herself. André looked between them in surprise, although it was mainly regret in having made his way back.
"What's going on?" André asked in sheer confusion as Kendra and Jolt argued with both pleads, mainly from Kendra's side and accusations, mainly from Jolt's side. André sighed again, not exactly sure what to have to deal with this for much longer.
"How does this sound? Kendra, us two swim together and Jolt follows us?" André suggested, looking between the two girls. Kendra clapped her hands in approval while Jolt mumbled something that sounded like agreement.
"It's settled then," André deduced, grinning cockily at Jolt. "Besides, we have to make it even somehow."
"Eat my shit," Jolt growled, as André glanced back at her.
"What was that?"
"I said. Eat my shit," Jolt spat back, splashing André and Kendra with a wave of water and taking off in a burst to the island.
"She's an aggressive one, isn't she?" Kendra asked, linking her arm with André. "I think I'll be a much better partner than her."
"Yeah, she sure is aggressive," André commented, blanking out the rest of what Kendra had said. He looked assured, as he burst back into his powerful stride as Kendra yelped at the sudden movement through the water.
Kai shook his hair, it doused in water, as he squinted at the weird argument that André, Jolt and Kendra were having. He looked over to the group near him as Clayton was struggling to stay afloat while an unconscious Indigo was slung onto a metal shard of the ship. Kai was just able to see Ian close enough to Indigo, trying to aid him.
"Hey, dude!" Ian beckoned, paddling over Indigo and nudging him with his arm. "You all okay?"
"I'M NOT," Clayton screamed out, thrashing about the water.
"Are you unable to swim?" Kai asked, making his way over to Clayton.
"No, I'm clearly an Olympic diver," Clayton said with a smile, before sinking back under the water with a cry. "CLEARLY NOT!"
"Oh, I'm assuming you'll be okay if I leave you," Kai teased, grabbing Clayton's arm and pulling him up. Clayton deadpanned, looking at Kai and spitting out a mouthful of water into his face.
Kai laughed, pulling Clayton along over to Ian who was stroking his beard while looking down at Ian.
"I'm not sure what to do guys," He admitted, poking Indigo's shoulder. "He won't answer any of my questions."
"Have you tried easy ones?" Clayton asked, turning to Indigo and pausing to think for a moment. "What's your favourite colour?"
Indigo, unsurprisingly, didn't reply as his eyes fluttered softly.
"I fear that we may need a professional medical opinion," Kai said with a frown.
"Oh!" Clayton piped up, almost dragging Kai further into the water with his excitement. "I'm pretty much a surgeon!"

*Temporary Confessional Start*
[Clayton]
The confessional that Kendra was seen in before, was similar to the one Clayton was in right now. It was a lot more damaged, with a corner peering out to the sky instead of its regular steel wall. Clayton shook droplets of water from his hair, turning to the camera. "So I'm actually not a surgeon, fun fact! Although I've watched every Grey's Anatomy episode and that's practically the same thing, right?"
*Temporary Confessional End*
—
"Well if you think you know best," Kai began, hoisting Clayton onto his shoulders and allowing him to gain better access to Indigo.
Clayton thought about it for a moment, twirling the strands of his mullet around his finger. A lightbulb flashed over his head, as he leaned in close to Indigo's ear and whispered into it.
"WAKE UP!" Clayton roared into Indigo's ear, almost deafening Kai and Ian as a result.
"Dude!" Ian commented, rubbing his ear in pain.
Although, seemingly, this was enough to wake Indigo up as he got up with a jolt. He fell forward off the piece of wreckage he was slumped over, falling into the water. Muffled screams echoed from the bubbles around where he fell, as Ian reached in and pulled the other boy out by the scruff of his neck outwards.
"I am impressed, Clayton," Kai complimented, as Clayton blew a kiss to him.
"I'm always impressed by myself."
"What happened?" Indigo mumbled, glancing around at the other guys and averting his eyes.
"So, the ship went boom," Ian explained, throwing on a baby voice for some reason. "We went flying like birds, and you were like sleeping."
"I believe that Indigo understands English just fine," Kai summarised, raising his eyebrow.
"Thanks…" Indigo muttered, looking towards the island. "All of you…"
"It was all me," Clayton said, winking at Indigo. He paused, glancing at Ian and Kai, before chuckling and rubbing the back of his head. "Actually, I lied. It was such a group effort."
"Is that something you do often?" Ian asked, laughing at Clayton's antics.
"I suppose! Lying is so much fun sometimes."
"As charming as this conversation is," Kai interrupted, glancing towards the island and the speck of people that Jolt, André and Kendra were becoming. "I fear we should make a move on."
"Yes chief," Ian summarised, dropping Indigo who promptly started sinking again. His eyes widened, grabbing him again and flashing an apologetic look. "Two pairs!"
"Thanks again," Indigo anxiously said. Clayton had gotten back into the water, linking an arm with Clayton and looking back at the others.
"Race ya'!"
"Let us not go that far," Kai said with a nod to the others. He turned to Clayton and whispered something into his ear.
"We'd win too easily."
Still on the ship, just barely clinging onto guardrails was Rina. Her grip was tightly around it, as the boat shuddered and shook as explosions still rang out. The view of others making their way to the island was directly in front of her, as she glanced around, panicked.
"I'm going to have to swim," She mumbled to herself, feeling the sun beam down on her. Water from the pool was practically thrown all over the ship, Rina's sandals getting soaked as a result. "I really didn't want to swim."
She began to prepare herself to leap from the guard rail. taking a breath in and looking down at the water
"Alright, Rina. Just like you always did in your high-school swim club."
Before Rina could take off, another explosion rocked the boat, causing her to stumble back and off the rail onto the ship's floor. She moaned, rubbing her back in pain, cursing.
"Watch yourself pretty," Toxa yelled, a tattered rope in her teeth as she hopped out of the captain's booth.
Rina whipped her head at the voice, narrowing her eyes. Out of everyone who could've been near her, it had to be her. Toxa slid her way over, smirking at Rina, who was down on the ground, extending her hand to her.
"How are you even here?" Rina asked, annoyed, shrugging away Toxa's hand as she picked herself off the floor.
"Toxa can't resist you," Toxa flirted, taking the rope into her hands and puckering up her lips.
"Shut up," Rina deflected, staring daggers into Toxa, getting ready to try to jump again. "If anything you distracted me from making it."
"Coming from the girl who didn't want to get her wet?" Toxa asked, chuckling. Rina glared at her, huffing as she confidently walked away.
"Wait," Toxa asked, leading Rina to pause yet again, her blue hair whipping into Toxa's face. "You said you were a good swimmer, right?"
"Swim, sing, dance, dive," Rina listed, counting them along on her hand. "What can't I do?"
"Humble too," Toxa commented with an eye roll of her own. Rina raised an eyebrow, ready to turn on her heel and walk away again. "Toxa has an idea."
Rina paused, thinking over what concept this barbarian could have thought of. "Go on?"
"Toxa ties this rope around me and you. We swim together through these waves."
"Why would I bother with that," Rina scoffed, turning away.
"Don't blame Toxa if a shark gets you," Toxa said with a shrug, tossing the rope off to the side of her.
Rina opened her mouth but paused to think about it. Toxa smirked, getting ready to climb on the guard rails. She prepared a dive.
"Wait!" Rina cried out this time, grabbing the rope and extending it out to Toxa. "If I get turned into sushi by a shark, it's on you."
"I'm sure we'll live." Toxa laughed, grabbing the rope. With great expertise, she managed to tie the rope into two loops, sliding herself into one.
She stepped closer to Rina, pulling her in by the waist. Rina gasped, pushing herself away.
"I'll do it myself."
Toxa shrugged, watching as Rina placed the loop of rope over the top of her head and dragged it down to her waist. Toxa leaned in and tightened the rope, guiding her to the edge of the ship.
"On three," Toxa commanded. Rina confirmed with a nod of her head.
"One… Two…"
"THREE!"
Also on the ship, tucked away in a different compartment were Maddy and Malcolm. Maddy was running around, in a sporadic daze as she yelled random words.
"I'm too young to die!" She bawled, tearing through the bedroom and hopping off the walls.
"Oh, would you be quiet for Pete's sake!" Malcolm snapped, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Let me think."
Maddy stopped, zipping her mouth shut and continued to rush around the room like a mad woman. Malcolm face-palmed, actually taking off his glasses and wiping them clean to make sure he wasn't seeing things.
"Thankfully you're pretty."
"Awhh, thank you!" Maddy responded cheerfully, instantly coming to a pause to accept the compliment. The influencer completely missed the fact that it was a subtle jab that Malcolm had made at her.
Malcolm blinked at her in confusion once again, fighting back the urge to throw her off the ship. He took a deep breath, looking back around the room for anything that could help them, mainly him, make it off the ship in one piece.
"Hold on," Malcolm pondered. Maddy looked back at him with wide eyes, moving her arms around and speaking with her mouth closed.
"Mhm, mhm mhm, mhm?" Maddy asked muffled, leading to Malcolm giving her another look of sheer bewilderment.
"Okay, first off. What are you doing?" Malcolm questioned, crossing his arms and tapping his foot. "You're allowed to speak."
"Oh my goodness, that was so stressful!" Maddy lamented, looking up at Malcolm with her puppy dog eyes. "It took me back to the Say Nothing challenge I did."

*Temporary Confessional Start*
[Malcolm]
Malcolm was in the same confessional booth that Clayton had been seen in earlier. He had a look of genuine concern on his face. "Is Maddy… Okay?"
*Temporary Confessional End*
—
"I actually forgot what I was trying to say," Maddy admitted with a giggle.
"Anyways…" Malcolm continued, attempting to block out Maddy's ramblings. "All Chris said was that we had to make it to the island… He didn't say anything about how we had to, right?"
"Whatever you say," Maddy chirped, although not exactly catching the point of Malcolm's theory.
"It's time to hijack this ship," Malcolm said confidently, with an evil smirk at Maddy.
"Hi, Jack!" Maddy greeted, glancing at Malcolm and whispering over to him. "Who's Jack?"
"You have to be joking," Malcolm deadpanned, shaking his head. He gestured to Maddy to come along, pointing towards the door. "Just follow me."
Malcolm led Maddy through the outside area of the ship, weaving through the damaged floorboards, and the ship that was slowly sinking further into the sea. They eventually made it to the captain's compartment where Toxa was moments before. Malcolm pushed open the door, looking around at the panel of controls, in a confused daze.
"Well the guy driving the ship told us that we were five minutes away from the island," Malcolm said slowly, looking around at the controls. Maddy popped up next to him, peering at the controls with a look of awe.
"Do you know how this works?" Maddy asked.
"No."
"Do you think this safe?"
"No."
"What does this red button do?"
"I DON'T KNOW!"
Maddy looked at it, slamming her hand down on it. The ship suddenly started rocketing forward, knocking both Maddy and Malcolm to the floor in a crumpled heap.
"Uhm… Oops?"
Ebony, Aakira and Sal were paddling their way along to the island, in their contraption. Ebony had repurposed the door into a makeshift flotation device, paddling it along the sea. The bar stool's cushions were acting as three seats and she had repurposed the curtain into a rope to tie the seats down on the door.
"It was a good idea to drill holes in this to make sure it floated," Aakira commented, rowing with her curtain rod. Behind her, Sal was also paddling while Ebony was at the very back of the group, keeping the balance and readjusting the positioning of their gadget.
"Thank you," Ebony blushed, tightening on a screw at the end of the door.
"Oh, please say we get to find out the name now!" Sal clapped excitedly, brandishing his paddle around and almost tipping all of them off the mechanism. He laughed apologetically, continuing to paddle and anticipating the answer.
"Ah, yes!" Ebony said with a click of her fingers. "I call this… the Stay-Afloat-Inator."
"What a name!" Sal gushed, clapping his hands excitedly. Aakira made direct eye contact with the camera that was recording them with a knowing look.
—
*Temporary Confessional Start*
[Aakira]
"Are they both insane?" Aakira asked, shocked. "Like, what we made is a raft. It's not a brand new invention?"
*Temporary Confessional End*
—
"Yeah… What a name," Aakira added, paddling away. "It's an impressive invention."
"I'm surprised it hasn't blown up in my face yet," Ebony admitted, laughing slightly.
As if the universe had heard her, a large wave came crashing down completely soaking the trio on the raft. The device itself did a full 360-degree circle, flipping them all underwater for a moment (with Sal claiming he saw a jellyfish) while somehow managing for them all to stay on top of it.
Aakira had an irritated look on her face, wiping water droplets from her eyes. She turned back to Ebony, smiling politely. "Ebony, respectfully, are you a jinx?"
"I think it's just Murphy's Law," Ebony laughed sheepishly.
"Who's Murphy?" Sal asked, not exactly keeping track of the conversations the other two girls were having.
"It's when everything that can go wrong, does go wrong," Aakira explained.
"They should change it to Salamander's Law since that happens to me all the time too!"
Ebony and Sal shared a high-five, while Aakira gave another straight-faced look towards the camera.
"Hey, hold on," Aakira paused, looking behind her. "Wasn't the sinking ship behind us? Where's the island gone too?"
Sure enough, Ebony and Sal saw the ship making slow progress towards them while the actual island had vanished. They all gave each other a look of dread, rationalising on how this had happened. Ebony looked behind her on the ship, her eyes widening.
"Hey, isn't that the island behind us now?" Ebony asked, squinting her eyes at the sandy shore. Aakira turned around, letting out a sigh as she nodded her head.
"It seems to be the only island around us," Aakira admitted.
"So we're going backwards?" Sal questioned, causing Aakira to groan loudly.
"Well it's either that or the ship is sailing away without us, and I don't feel confident in saying that the sinking ship that we abandoned is now moving."
"That isn't great news for us," Ebony summarised bashfully.
"PIVOT," Sal yelled, rotating their boat. The intense speed he did the action caused them to spin uncontrollably, the trio shrieking from their spot at sea.
André was agitated, as Kendra clung onto him as he swam to the best of his abilities. He was an athlete, who usually played on a team. Swimming, however, wasn't exactly all about cooperation.
Jolt, on the other hand, was making great distance on the pair as she made strong and powerful strokes along the water. Her strength and power were clear, her powerful legs gaining distance on the pair easily. The island was practically in her grasp at this point.
She paused, taking a breath in, the taste of sea salt hitting the back of her throat. The sun glowed down on her, as she relaxed slightly knowing how far her lead was. This wasn't the tortoise and the hare, she wasn't falling asleep, although she had time for a small break.
"You've lost again Pinky," She taunted, yelling back. Jolt actually had to stifle a chuckle, as André had stopped swimming and was trying to pry Kendra off his arm.
She observed with a confident grin, rolling her eyes as the two she was racing against were bickering like an old married couple. They were made for each other.
"How did you get so big and strong?" Kendra gushed, feeling up the muscular arm of André with a warm smile.
"Hey dude? Personal space," André declared, shaking Kendra loose and putting some distance between them.
Kendra gasped, being left alone at sea. She dipped in the water, spluttering and blinking out the ocean as she shrieked in panic. André debated just leaving her, but swam back, extending his arm out.
"I'm a batter," André explained, shifting Kendra's arms down around his forearm rather than his bicep. Kendra obliged, winking at André.
"I could be your biggest cheerleader."
"No thanks."
"Why not?" Kendra asked, trying to figure out why her flirtatious aura wasn't exactly working with this dude.
"No offence, but you have come on way too strong," André explained, gesturing down to Kendra's hand around him.
"I thought boys liked being the big, strong, macho man."
"All guys aren't the same," André practically laughed. "I can tell you that while that's cool and all, I prefer girls who have a little bit of a spunk to them."
"Hey, Pinky!" Jolt roared, waving over at André. "You giving up already?"
"No one talks like that to me," André growled, looking towards Kendra. "Help me crush her ass."
"You like her," Kendra mumbled, with André looking at her shocked.
"What did you say?"
"You like Jolt. It's so obvious!" Kendra said with a laugh, studying André's face that was growing more and more red. "She's pretty much what you described to a tee."
"I do not!"
"You so do!"
"What's the holdup, Pinky? I've practically made it to the island."
"Never mind," André said, blush on his cheeks. "We have to make it to the island."
"Fine," Kendra obliged, looking towards Jolt who was cockily looking at them. She waved at her, to which Jolt looked away with a huff. "I have one condition."
"What could you possibly have against making it to the island?"
"You have to tell her how you feel."
"I barely met her!"
"We can stay put then."
"Fine," André complained, turning to face Jolt and the island once again. "You ready?"
"Let's do this."
Further behind that trio were the four boys. Kai and Clayton were keeping a solid pace, with Kai being a very competent swimmer while Clayton provided some adequate storytelling for Kai, keeping him entertained as they swam.
"So that's how I ended up with my deadly fear of spiders," Clayton finished off with a silly smile. "It was honestly traumatic."
"I suppose that would do that to someone," Kai replied with a chuckle. "My biggest fear is nothing of that sort."
"Ah, you can't leave me on a cliffhanger like that," Clayton begged. "Spill!"
"I am terrified of rollercoasters."
"What!" Clayton cried out, appalled. "I love rollercoasters! What's wrong with them?"
"I have never experienced a rollercoaster personally," Kai explained, glancing behind him to check on Indigo and Ian. He paused in the water, before continuing. "I feel as if they are this torture device for souls, rather than a source of enjoyment."
"Please! Who doesn't love a little bit of a thrill."
"I will admit, a little bit of thrill does excite me. Rollercoasters, however, do not."
"When we're off this island, we are so going to an amusement park together," Clayton planned, clapping his hands excitedly. "We could even make it a cast night out!"
"That sounds like my worst nightmare," Kai jested, winking at Clayton. Clayton paused but as soon as the joke registered in his mind, he started to burst out in laughter, wiping a tear from his eyes.
"Oh, you are a funny man. You are so sitting next to me when we do get there."
"If you insist," Kai obliged, smiling at Clayton.
"It's a date then," Clayton added, a flirtatious undertone to his voice. Kai, however, didn't pick up on this hint at all.
"I wonder if they're okay?"
Ian and Indigo were going at a lot slower pace, with more silent lulls to their conversation. Ian wasn't as strong of a swimmer as the other athletic people of the cast and Indigo not exactly keeping up the conversation was leading to a very awkward journey together.
"Are you sure you're okay after being unconscious?" Ian asked, concerned by the silence coming from his partner.
Indigo mumbled something that sounded like an affirmation. His eyes were tightly shut, and Ian could swear that he could hear the boy silently counting upwards as they made their way to the island. He also had a tight grip around Ian's waist as they traversed the water at their own pace.
Ian sighed, thinking of what he could even talk about with Indigo without making him feel self-conscious. He glanced forwards at Kai and Clayton who gave him encouraging looks.
"Hey, was your book all okay?"
"Yeah, I made sure to get a waterproof one before coming here," Indigo mumbled, patting his pocket where his slightly damp poetry book was. He pulled out, clutching it close to his chest.
"What are you writing?" Ian inquired, with a cheerful demeanour. Indigo blushed, putting the book away.
"It's just poems that I was encouraged to write," Indigo muttered. It was mostly the truth, although there was no need to disclose all the details about it.
"Oh, you're a poet?" Ian interrogated with surprise. "I'm quite philosophical myself."
Indigo blushed, averting his eyes from Ian. He glanced down at the water, looking at the ripples made by Ian as he swam along.
"I always say. A hat is everything."
Indigo paused, turning to Ian with a sheer look of confusion. "What?"
"Well, a hat can tell you a lot about a person," Ian explained. "If someone is wearing a builder's hat, they are probably a builder. If someone is wearing a pirate's hat, chances are that they're a pirate. If someone is wearing a fedora, it's very likely they're a semi-aquatic, egg-laying mammal of action."
Indigo burst into a fit of laughter, looking at Ian with a warm smile. "You are philosophical."
In a sudden flash, two figures confidently swam past overtaking the group of guys, bickering along as they did so. The clash of one's blue hair and the other's purple hair streaked against the deep ocean, confident strides from both as they surprisingly worked in unison. The sounds of conversation coming from them clearly indicated a different scenario.
"Can you stop yanking," Rina spat, jostling her way to the left and yanking Toxa by the waist with the rope.
"Can you stop your yakking," Toxa retorted, pulling back the rope, it burning off Rina's stomach. She hissed in pain, glaring at Toxa and coming to a halt. Toxa kept swimming, at this point dragging the other girl.
"For fuck's sake can you stop," Rina cursed out. Toxa sighed, turning to her with an agitated look in her eyes.
"What."
"I'm getting so sick of you, it's literally making me sick being this close to you," Rina remarked, haughtily sticking her nose up in the air.
Toxa laughed, smirking over at her. "So… Do you want to make out instead?"
Rina raised her hand to smack the other girl, but Toxa rolled her eyes. There was something enjoyable about teasing the girl, as she clearly got the hint that Rina was one of those who would be a prime victim for her. She hated her type, the holier-than-thou queen bee with a stick up her ass.
"I'd rather throw up in my mouth, and have to eat it again," Rina bluntly said, narrowing her eyes at Toxa. The two were at a standstill, frozen in their spot in the sea. The more athletic trio were inching closer to the island and as much as Rina enjoyed winning, she also enjoyed her sanity. "Like seriously. What's your damage?"
"I just like you, babe," Toxa flirted, as Rina stared with her cold eyes at her. While this may have made the majority of people succumb to shivers, Toxa wasn't letting her get the better of her. "Or do you want Toxa to leave you with the sharks?"
"Please," Rina scoffed. "Like there are actually sharks in these waters. It was a nice scare tactic, but you can't fool me twice."
Like many incidents before these two, speaking it brought into existence. A menacing fin appeared out of nowhere, spiralling around the two girls. Rina yelped in fear, attempting to climb onto Toxa who just laughed in response.
"I knew you wanted a piece of Toxa."
"Literally, shut up and get rid of the shark!" Rina screamed, cowering behind Toxa. Toxa raised an eyebrow, gesturing her hand towards the shark who was rising out of the water, comically putting on a bib and extending a knife and fork, sharpening them off each other.
"What do you want me to do?"
"I don't know! Speak to him?!"
"Toxa can't speak to sharks," Toxa deadpanned. "He's more afraid of you than you are of him."
"I DON'T THINK HE IS!" Rina cried, watching as the shark inched forward, frothing at the mouth.
Toxa sighed, readying up her fists to bring a beatdown on the shark. Sometimes all they needed was a lesson. Alas, she didn't get the chance to as the submerging ship came rocketing past them, nailing the shark clean on the head.
Rina and Toxa were practically drowned by the oncoming wave of water, just staying afloat with their experience with the sea. They shared a confused look, watching the ship continue sailing its way past them and towards the island, with the shark who had threatened them moments before swimming away at an intense pace.
"Was that?" Rina asked.
"Yup," Toxa answered equally concerned.
"Wasn't it sinking?"
"Yup…"
"Let's just go," Rina subsided. Toxa grunted in approval, as the two continued their journey, with a lull of silence rather than the bickering from before.
"SORRY MR. SHARK!" Maddy roared, watching the shark rub a big red bump on his head, swimming away quickly, yet very clearly embarrassed. She readopted her place of a foetus position on the floor, spinning in circles as Malcolm narrowed his eyes in front of the view.
"HOLY JEEZ," Malcolm screamed, struggling to control the steering wheel of the ship. He swerved sharply, dousing Jolt, Kendra and André in a wave of water that left them sopping in the sea, with very choice words from the two athletes.
Maddy and him were currently barrelling their way down the island at an uncontrollable speed. It had turned out that the red button that Maddy had pressed down on earlier, in fact, was the emergency accelerator. The ship had jumpstarted into a pace that neither was ready for, not exactly the most experienced in sailing practices.
They had narrowly avoided crashing into Ebony, Sal and Aakira's raft and almost concussed Indigo again while sailing past the group of boys. Malcolm had a tight grill on the steering wheel, as he constantly swerved in either direction. He was slowly picking up the hang of it however, sailing somehow came as a second nature to him like many other talents.
Despite getting the job done, the ship was still sinking at an alarming pace. The fire from the explosions had been extinguished by the ripples of water crashing back against the ship. There was, however, a clear slant to the ship as half of it was submerged already.
"Are we making it," Maddy asked in a slight daze, her skin growing a pale green from seasickness. While Malcolm was competent in control, he lacked experience.
Malcolm ignored Maddy, more concerned with the sights in front of him. The good news for the pair was that they were practically at the island, not even a minute away at this pace. The bad news? Malcolm had no idea how to bring the ship to a stop, and they were sinking at an alarming rate.
"Hey, Maddy?" Malcolm beckoned, causing the girl to jump up on her feet and promptly fall straight back down to her lack of a grip on anything. She moaned in pain, rising and grabbing onto the door handle as she looked over at Malcolm.
"Yes, bestie?"
"I may need your help," Malcolm admitted, calculating the distance in his head. It was barely even a kilometre away from them at this point. "Start pressing buttons and let's hope we can stop this thing."
Maddy cheered at both the idea of being helpful, and the prospect of slamming down on more buttons. She pressed down a green one, and the two howled in fear as confetti burst from panels on either side of them.
Maddy glanced at the panel in confusion, pressing down on a white button this time. The duo covered their ears as loud music started blaring from every speaker, the distinct tune of 'Happy Birthday' ringing out, although distorted. With no hands on the wheel, the ship veered harshly right as Malcolm desperately tried to regain control.

[Chris]
Chris was pictured in the actual confessional booth. It was a very shabby-looking wooden toilet, with mould growing on the corners and flies circling around the sole light that shone down on Chris. He plugged his nose, using his available hand to give a half-hearted shrug. "It was a discounted party bus. Times are tough!"

"Wrong button Maddy," Malcolm screeched, as Maddy tried her luck with a bright pink button.
Nothing happened for a minute, as Malcolm saw the beach directly in front of them and braced himself from impact. All of a sudden, they were ejected from the cabin, flying in the air with loud squeals.
"They should be here by now," Chris muttered, stepping out of the mess hall where his office was hidden away. He looked on at the clearing, hearing static echoing through his walkie-talkie.
He adjusted his hair, swiping at his locks to perfect his middle part as he made his way to the beach. He stepped onto the sand, kicking it slightly as he moved along, heavily focused on his hair.
He made it to his mark, deciding that his hair was at peak perfection. He was standing on a plain white mat, with two coloured mats behind him in a dark green shade, and a red-orange shade, some sort of logo on them. He turned his attention onto the water and yelled in surprise as he saw a ship hurtling towards him.
"I'M TOO PRETTY TO DIE!" He cried out, covering his face as the ship was bludgeoning its way through the beach.
The sand softened the blow, as the ship came to a grinding halt mere inches away from Chris's face. Course, Chris was far more concerned with losing his looks to open his eyes and realise he was perfectly safe.
What warped Chris back to reality was the deafening shrieks coming from the sky. Opening his eyes, Chris leapt back just realising that he was both safe and how near of a miss it was. He looked around for the source of the screams but was unable to identify them.
That was until Maddy came crashing down in the sand from the sky above. She moaned in main, Chris glancing up to catch Malcolm flailing his hands like a madman in order to slow his descent. It worked to some extent, as he used the extra moments to aim for Maddy. He landed in a heap on top of her, the girl softening his blow.
"Sorry Maddy," Malcolm giggled, dusting himself off and getting himself off from on top of her. "Didn't see you there!"
"Ughhh," Maddy responded weakly, giving an unsure thumbs-up to Malcolm and wobbling her way to Chris.
"You couldn't even let me have my moment," Chris huffed, as Malcolm grinned apologetically. "Just stand behind me. Madison on the orange mat, Malcolm on the green."
As the two followed his orders, Maddy was a lot more wobbly on her way. Chris cleared his throat and looked towards the camera. He frowned, stepping over slightly not feeling like having to share the screen with a ship, before putting on his signature hosting smile.
"Welcome back to Total Drama Inferno Island," Chris announced, raising his hands as he spoke. "We are here with ou-"
"BEAT YA' PINKY," Jolt roared, shaking herself off as she hit the shore and sprinted her way over to Chris. "Winner winner, chicken dinner!"
"Nice try Jolt. You're third," Chris bluntly remarked, not impressed with being interrupted… again.
Jolt looked appalled, looking behind Chris to see an innocent Malcolm waving at her and a dazed Maddy. She grunted, rolling her eyes.
"At least I beat Pinky," She grumbled, as André ran up next to her with Kendra hot on his tail.
"I was set up," André yelled at her and gestured to an innocent Kendra behind her. Jolt snorted, not being able to keep a straight face.
"I don't think I'm a disadvantage," Kendra said, more to herself than anyone else as Jolt kept taunting André.
"Ladies," Chris yelled, with André opening his mouth to defend himself. Malcolm raised his eyebrow at him, suggesting something to which André gave him a heated look.
"André, join Malcolm on the orange mat. Jolt and Kendra, you're with Maddy."
Malcolm squeaked, as André towered over him. Unfortunately for him, there was no one to hide behind so Malcolm had to simply deal with the looming threat of André over his shoulder.
"Oh… Hi again," Kendra said with a nervous laugh to Jolt. Jolt rolled her eyes, flipping Kendra off and turning on her heel to march towards Maddy. She shot a concerned look towards her, as the girl was wobbling on the spot.
"Is she okay?" Jolt asked, glancing over at Chris who seemed indifferent.
"Perfect!" Maddy chirped, stumbling yet again. Chris hushed her, turning back to the camera.
"As I was saying, we are here on Inf-"
"GET HER OFF OF ME!" Rina exclaimed, her storming onto the sand and clawing at the rope that tied her to Toxa. Toxa was being jostled along, with a coy expression on her face.
"Toxa is irresistible, babes," Toxa joked, a lot more relaxed than her partner. Her arms were raised and extended behind her head, as Rina furiously swiped at the rope.
Eventually, Rina got through it, slicing it in half with her pointed nails. She stormed her way over to Chris, looking at him with a burning hatred.
"You are a sick and twisted man. Sick and twisted," Rina raged, as Chris shrugged.
"I've been called worse," He admitted, with a wink towards the camera. "Rina, you're on green. Toxa, join the other girls on the orange mat. And stop interrupting me!"
Rina could've cried with how happy she was to be separated from Toxa. She strutted her way over to André and Malcolm, glancing at both an indifferent look. Malcolm took the opportunity to use Rina as a shield between her and André.
Toxa blew a kiss at Rina, making her way over to the other mat. Her menacing appearance frightened both Kendra and Maddy who kept their distance from the punk, although Jolt was indifferent, sizing her up as a possible opponent to run laps against.
"Now," Chris continued, flashing his pearly white teeth. "We are here on Inferno Island, where our-"
"WE DID IT!"
"Halt Clayton. Let us make sure Ian and Indigo get here okay," Kai responded, the pair having reached the beach. Clayton nodded in affirmation, as the pair stared out to the sea, where Ian and Indigo were seemingly having an actual conversation with each other. As they approached the beach, Indigo reverted back to his silent self.
Ian celebrated, sharing a high-five with Kai and Clayton. Indigo gave a soft smile, as he quietly made his way over to Chris. Clayton cheered out, leaping after him (but completely slipping and falling flat on his face).
"I'm okay!" He exclaimed, jumping back onto his feet and shaking the sand that covered him off. Kai chuckled, grinning at him, turning to Ian with a bright smile.
"After you, sir."
"Why thank you, sir!" Ian accepted graciously, waltzing his way over to Chris. Similarly to Clayton, at a certain point, he stumbled but unlike the other boy he recovered, ending straight in front of Chris with his arms extended outwards to catch his balance.
Kai shook his head at Ian's antics, although he clearly was amused. He was a lot more graceful, taking prideful strides across the beach to join his group at Chris by the finish line. Chris surveyed them, shaking his head.
"Indigo. Green. Clayton. Orange. Ian. Green. Kai. Orange," He commanded, pointing them their respective ways. His patience was severely being tested, and his patience was short enough as it was.
Ian gave a warm smile to Indigo, leading him over to their mat. He frowned, noticing Toxa and André staring each other down with angry glares and Malcolm twirling a blonde lock of hair with his fingers.
"What's going on?" Ian asked, as Indigo silently made his way onto the mat, sitting down and pulling out his poetry book.
"Oh!" Malcolm exclaimed, eyeing Ian up from head to toe. He nodded, pointing a finger at the two. "I just asked them which one of them was better at sports."
"It's me!" André claimed flexing his bicep, as Rina scoffed.
"Clearly, I am. I can swim, dance, skate."
"Right," Ian summarised, slowly stepping into the middle with Malcolm to watch the other two argue.
Kai bowed his head, allowing Clayton to join the others on the mat first. He glanced around, giving a friendly wave to Kendra Kendra, for some reason, ignored him as Clayton's eyes then landed on Toxa and Jolt who both held stoic looks at him. He whistled, choosing to stand beside Maddy who gave him a generous smile.
Kai had wanted to join him but was practically tied down by Kendra who was ogling over him this whole time. She wrapped her arms around his, looking up with her big, heart-shaped eyes.
"Hi… What's your name," Kendra swooned, blush creeping up on her face.
"Kai Summers, ma'am," Kai replied, bowing down and softly kissing Kendra's hand.
"Hey Chris," Toxa yelled out, disgusted. "Do you want to finish before Toxa barfs?"
Chris crossed his arms in a huff, with the eleven campers behind him. "Nope."
"What do you mean no?" Jolt asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I am sick of you guys interrupting me," Chris claimed, giving a shooted look over at the cast. Malcolm whistled, feigning innocence while Ian and Clayton gave each other a concerned look from their respective maps.
"So I am waiting for these last three to arrive before I continue."
Chris huffed, turning to the ocean and waiting for the arrival of Ebony, Sal and Aakira. The cast was relatively indifferent, given by their bored expressions and indifferent looks.
Maddy sat down on the sand, playing a game of Tic Tac Toe against Clayton. Kendra continued to flirt with Kai, while Toxa and Jolt remained stone-faced, looking out at the ocean from which they had all come in from.
On the mat, Indigo was very content on the ground, scrawling away in his journal. Malcolm pointed out various observations to Ian about the island and the cast with a smug attitude, Ian agreeing although truthfully, was very confused about where the conversation was going. André and Rina continued to exchange snide comments about each other, their egos balancing for dominance on their team.
Chris squinted, waiting for a sign of the team. The sun which was once beating down on them all day, was slowly setting and the exhaustion of the campers grew as time passed onwards.
"Chris, might I suggest you proceed anyway?" Kai mentioned, looking at the darker sky. "It will at least save you from having to record this part of the footage after they arrive."
Chris huffed, turning to the camera with a bright smile. "Welcome back to Inferno Island! I'm here as-"
"FINALLY!" Aakira cried, rushing up to the finish line.
"OH COME ON!"
Sal followed Aakira to the line, with Ebony behind them. The trio were a mess to look at, their hair matted down with sweat and splotches of water all over them. They looked tired, uncomfortable and desperate as they all embraced in an exhausted manner.
"I give up!" Chris complained, grabbing Sal and pushing him over to the Orange mat. He did the same to Aakira and Ebony, instead nudging them over to the Green mat as he looked at the setting sun.
"We're making this snappy now since you love wasting my time," Chris said, annoyed, throwing over a coloured banner to each team.
Toxa, using her height advantage over Jolt, easily grabbed the orange one. She unravelled it to display a drawing of a crab, using its claw aggressively.
"You guys are now known as the Cutthroat Crabs."
On the other side, Rina and André were both tugging at the banner, with Malcolm sliding in from between them to unveil it. A parrot that was extending both its wings in a dramatic fashion was shown on it.
"The rest of you? You guys are the Perky Parrots."
Excited murmurs came from the crowd. Kai and Clayton smiled at each other, while Jolt sized up the other team with a knowing smirk. Kendra was jumping between her ogling over Kai, to an equally flirtatious look at Sal. Sal and Maddy were giving each other a high-five, with Sal snapping his hand shut like a claw around Maddy who laughed in response. Toxa was raising an eyebrow at Rina, who was blatantly ignoring her from the other team.
Rina and André were still in their debacle with the banner, with Rina suddenly letting go and sending André crashing to the floor. Ian gasped, reaching down to help him but Malcolm extended his leg out to trip up the boy. He crashed down on top of André, in front of Indigo who blushed as he averted his gaze from the two boys on the ground in front of him. Ebony and Aakira gave each other a worried expression at the state of their team.
"Come on, we don't have much time left," Chris commanded, leading the crowd to follow him.
The group arrived at the main campgrounds, with a cabin off to the side. Chris pointed towards it. "This is where you will be sleeping for your time in the game. Girls on the left, guys on the right."
"Can we make them co-ed?" Kendra asked, winking at Chris. Chris mocked a laugh back at her.
"No."
"Oh…"
"Doesn't matter to me," Toxa claimed, looking at Rina who mimed throwing up to Toxa in return.
"MOVING ON!" Chris announced, leading the campers to the other building on the campgrounds.
Leading them in, two benches were strung out with seats attached to them. There was an open window, giving the campers a slight view into the kitchen, but other than that, it was a relatively plain room.
"This is where you will get fed by Chef Hatchet."
"Chef-who-now?" asked Malcolm, looking around for this mysterious figure.
"You know? The one who was sailing the ship?"
"The guy who jumped overboard?" Aakira inquired, getting a nod back from Chris. "I haven't seen him since he jumped overboard."
Other people mumbled in agreement, as Chris shrugged it off. "I'm sure he'll show up soon."
As if on cue, Chef Hatchet burst through the doors, in heavy pants, with sweat marks clear on his underarms and his shirt. He marched his way over to Chris, heaving as he gestured a fist to Chris's face.
"You are a dead man McClean." He spat, as Chris shrugged his arms once again, a more coy look on his face.
"It's just show-biz Chef." He defended, gesturing the campers out of the mess hall. He marched his way over to the middle of the clearing once again, pointing to two toilets off to the side. One looked like a wooden port-a-poddy, whereas the other was a slightly larger cabin with sleek green walls.

"And this here is where you can drop in all your confessionals," Chris announced, back in the booth. "Here you can get whatever you want off your chest for the viewers back home. Need to take a leek? That's what the other communal toilet is for."

"That should be everything," Chris bellowed, yawning at the thought. He glanced around at the equally tired campers. "Grab a snack in the mess hall and go get some rest. The competition starts tomorrow for real."
The campers all grumbled, making their way to the mess hall with some slight conversation amongst themselves.
"Oh wait campers," Chris beckoned back, causing them to halt and turn around. "I almost forgot."
He gestured over to a certain spot near the docks. Off to the side on the beach was a campfire area, and a small boat was parked at the docks, seemingly only big enough to carry one person.
"Over there is the campfire. It's there that the losing team, or the mergers, will cast their votes for who to be eliminated and be out of the running for $100,000. They'll be asked to walk the Dock of Shame, and take the Boat of Losers out of here!"
"I thought we were all made aware of that?" Sal mentioned, his stomach grumbling and his fellow castmates all muttering in agreement.
"What you may not have been made aware of was the fact there is one way you can prevent yourself from going, even if you got the most votes."
Malcolm's ears propped up at this, as well as the other more competitive members of the cast. Jolt, Rina, Toxa, André and Clayton all listened intently to the next piece of information.
"There will be two of these hidden around the island," Chris explained, pulling out a wooden carving of his own head. "There are Chris McClean Invincibility Idols, and if you play one of these after the votes are cast, but before they are read, you will be safe. These can be played up until the final four vote."
There were gasps of shock, the campers looking at each other with nerves and excitement. The game had gotten a lot more tactical, and everyone wanted a chance at this money. Who knows how far they'd go to get it?

"Things just got a whole lot more competitive… And I don't like losing."

"That's everything for now. Now go and enjoy the one night you have together. This time tomorrow, you'll be saying goodbye to someone."
This was enough incentive for the cast to scramble, André instantly making it a race. They all started tearing their way to the mess hall, while those who didn't want a race also ran in order to make sure they got some food. Chris nodded his head, excited for the drama to slowly take shape.
"There we have it for all you viewers at home. Fourteen campers are here to test their luck, skills and endurance in this new reality TV show," Chris concluded, walking off the clearing and onto the dock of shame. He strolled downwards with an excited grin, finally able to finish his speech.
"Tensions are already growing. Will Kendra find love? Will Rina kill Toxa? Will André finally beat Jolt? And will I stop being interrupted?"
"Find out next time on…"
"Total!"
"Drama!"
"Chris what have you done to the campers, they are tearing through my food like there's no tomorrow," Chef accused, walking into the frame. He had changed from his sailor uniform to one that was more suited for a chef. He wore a lime shirt, with a stained white apron tied around his waist. He had a classic chef hat on as well, finishing the look with dark green pants and brown boots. He gave a concerned look to Chris, who was red in the face while talking to him.
"I'M TRYING TO FILM AN OUTRO," Chris yelled, turning to the camera and faking a smile.
"INFERNO ISLAND!"

Is this the most original idea? No. Is it something I wanted to do? Absolutely. There are countless OC stories, if I tried naming them, I'd miss out on so many, but the two main ones that encouraged me to give my own OCs a shot were Karon Island by Tempokeep and Stormbound by The Feline Overlord. Check them out, as well as other amazing authors like thedragonrooster, SinWriter7, AZW330, KadachiNova, DaringDF1827, TDFan2077, Tech-Star, Thunderstrike16, Mr. Ruff, Lillaptop, Clown Princess Phoebe and dozens of other creators.
This is just going to be a fun project for me, to explore fourteen of my favourite characters. Some of these are newbies I want to develop. Some are from way back when I first started out who I need to update. Some are simply characters I want to flesh out more. Either way, I really do love this cast and am hoping y'all enjoy what I come up with for each of them.
There's nothing much to say other than that, so I'll leave the intro with you. Any early favourites? Any first boot predictions? Any ideas on what will happen in [Episode 2: X Marks The Spot]?
Until then, this is Space signing off.
