Wednesday Season 2 Episode 3- There She Woes
We zoom in on an overhead shot of Trevor on the ground with Ajax and paramedics around him. Ajax is panicking*
"Oh shit… no… shit… shit… who the hell would do this!?"
The medics are performing CPR, one of them looks at Ajax*
"He ain't looking good son… I'm sorry."
Ajax puts his hands on the side of his head*
"Dammit… what am I gonna do!?!?."
Just then, he hears running and Wednesday, Enid, and Xavier come up to the scene. Xavier looks at Trevor on the ground and his mouth widens in fear*
"Dude, what the fuck happened!? I left for 10 minutes?"
Ajax is breathing heavily*
"I don't know!? We decided to check the view on the roof. We climbed the fire escape to the top and we admired the view. I… I had to take a leak and when I came back… he was on the ground."
Enid is now panicking*
"Oh Jesus… babe… this is horrible!? The poor guy…"
Wednesday ponders as she then talks to Ajax*
"So, you just happened to disappear when you two were alone and after Xavier left? You sure you're being completely truthful?"
Enid looks at Wednesday like she's insane*
"What!? You're not seriously considering that Ajax is your stalker? Come on, the dude is a total teddy bear."
Xavier nods*
"I gotta agree with Enid, Wednesday… Ajax just doesn't have that in him. Besides, why would he be out to get you?"
Wednesday thinks again*
"I do not know, everyone has their own motive."
Ajax looks panicked*
"Come on Wednesday… you know me better than that…"
She looks at him*
"I can't be completely certain."
Just then, Sheriff Galpin and some other units arrive.*
"Just what the hell is going on now? Can we at least for once have a school year without a murder mystery?"
The medic addresses them all*
"We are sorry… we've done everything we could. He suffered a critical neck injury. He is dead."
The kids all look saddened, Wednesday looks more confused. She looks at her phone at the photos she was sent and Galpin notices.*
"What are those now?"
She speaks to him*
"They were sent to me moments before his death."
Galpin looks at them with confusion*
"Was anyone else with him at the time?"
Ajax raises his hand*
"I was, I left briefly and when I came back he was on the ground."
Enid goes up to Ajax*
"I'm so sorry… I know he was your friend…"
Just then, Galpin cuffs Ajax. He looks scared*
"Whoa… what's going on!?"
He locks the cuffs*
"You're under arrest for the suspected murder of Trevor Shwartz."
Enid panics*
"Hey! You can arrest him, you have little proof!."
He takes him to a car*
"All we do have is that he was the only one there. He even admitted he was on scene prior to the murder."
Xavier looks furious*
"So… that's it!? You're just gonna take him in for minimal evidence!? Where have I seen this before?..."
He glares*
"Don't get smart with me, boy… don't think I forgot about you escaping my squad car…"
He puts Ajax in the car, and he addresses the kids*
"He will be put on trial to discuss what to do with him, or if other stuff comes up about it."
Enid goes up to the car*
"Don't worry babe! We'll make sure you're innocent. I know you are!"
He smiles*
"I believe in you, Enid. Trevor… man what the hell happened…."
Galpin taps the car, signaling the other cop to go and it drives off. He goes to talk with the medics. Enid talks to her friends*
"Maybe… maybe he… jumped?"
Xavier shake his head*
"He wasn't suicidal, Enid. He seemed genuinely happy."
She disagrees*
"Sometimes it's hard to tell, what do you think, Wednesday?"
They look at her and she's thinking again. She looks at the two*
"He wasn't just pushed, if he was… he'd have fallen on his chest. He landed on his neck. And I just checked his clothes for handprints. Nothing is there…"
Wednesday gets another photo sent to her*
Stalker-
Number 2…
You people are so gullible
A picture is sent of a cop car flipped over.*
Galpin gets a call on the radio*
"Shit!"
Enid looks alarmed*
"What? What's wrong?"
He gets in his car*
"A car flipped. The one that just left."
She panics*
"Ajax!? He was in there!"
Wednesday talks suddenly*
"Not anymore…"
Another pic is sent to Wednesday. It's a flipped car. Ajax is gone. Enid starts to cry*
"No… no! He has to be okay!?"
Xavier grabs her arms and holds her in place*
"Enid! Enid… relax… we need to focus… Sheriff, can we go with? Please, he's our friend."
Galpin sighs, and unlocks the back doors*
"Fine, come on, let's go!"
The car races off into the night streets. Wednesday thinks*
"This does not add up…"
Enid looks at her, wondering*
"What? What doesn't?"
She explains*
"Clearly the stalker is involved with this. How would they have the power and aptitude to wreck a vehicle not far from the scene of their first victim? That would take some remarkable guess work and timing."
Xavier guesses*
"Maybe a car crash?"
Wednesday disagrees*
"They would have had to know they were leaving. It's too coincidental to be Ajax."
They pull up on scene, Galpin moves his search light.*
"This is not good…"
They get out and the car is mostly intact, Wednesday points out.*
"See? It wasn't a normal crash. No animals in the street, no debris, no other cars around. Someone did this on purpose…"
Galpin shatters the window to see the officer in the car*
"Officer James? James are you alright!?"
He wakes up*
"Ugh… my head…"
Enid comes up*
"Did… did you see what happened?"
The officer nods no*
"Not everything. I was driving. Me and that kid were having a chat about how this whole ordeal seems strange and creepy. And suddenly… the car just lost control and flipped over."
Galpin looks confused*
"So was it the kid?"
He nods no*
"Negative, no. We were both terrified of what was happening. I think he was taken.."
Enid begins to tear up and cry. She covers her face in distraught. Xavier gives her a hug and pats her back. He talks to her*
"It'll be okay… calm down. We will find who's responsible for this. Won't we?"
He looks at Wednesday, not quite sure if he believes his own words. She looks at the car with her usual Wednesday look. The scene pans up overlooking Nevermore in the distance. And then lapses over to morning. We cut back to Enid on the balcony of her dorm room. Clearly upset. Wednesday walks through the window and walks up next to her, also taking the view*
"I know something is upsetting you. You never wake up before 7:00 on a Saturday. Is it what happened last night?"
Enid throws a small rock over the balcony in a light manner. She looks at Wednesday*
"Oh no… I'm just enjoying the view on this beautiful roof of this… perfect school.. where everyone is safe."
Wednesday exhales, not even knowing why she tries comforting*
"Suit yourself then, do not complain about me not caring for you if you want to be sarcastic like that."
Enid turns around and shoves Wednesday slightly*
"Don't test me! I know you don't understand emotions that well, but you know how much I care for Ajax. I may have lost him forever, and you just seemed to write off that he's gone. That he's just another piece of your mystery. If you hadn't gotten this stupid stalker in the first place, we would all be fine!"
Wednesday barely reacts to the outburst*
"I understand that you are upset, but you are only angered by the unfortunate events because of Aja…"
Enid cuts her off*
"You don't know shit! You'll never know what it's like to be in love because you're too high on your mantra about not wanting to. Newsflash, you had your chance! Xavier was right there for the picking, like a crisp fresh apple. But now that apple was picked. So don't you tell me you know what I'm going through…"
She looks at Wednesday, seething. Waiting for her to quip back. She only mutters one word*
"Tyler…"
Wednesday walks away and leaves the room. Enid realizes what she means. then shakes her head, and thinks. Why did she just do that? Wednesday didn't intentionally get Ajax hurt, or taken or whatever happened. She puts her head on the balcony railing and sighs*
"Dammit…"
Scene cuts to The Quad. Wednesday sits down next to Eugene who's eating breakfast. He's eating some pancakes with some honey of course. Wednesday brings… just an apple. Wednesday speaks up*
"Hello Eugene. Have you been doing alright?"
He nods as he swallows a bite
"Yeah. Just been kind of weary. I'm sorry about… Ajax. I was never too fond of that Gorgon … but he didn't deserve to get hurt or taken, or whatever happened."
Wednesday nods*
"Me and him weren't too close either. He's just close with Enid and Xavier, so I'm kind of just the odd one out with the three."
Eugene finishes his plate, he stands up to return it*
"Hope it all goes well, Wednesday. I'll see ya around, I'm going in for early bee care."
She nods as she bites her apple. Xavier then sits down across from her at the table. Jenna sits down as well*
"Hi Wednesday. I'd like you to meet Jenna, I told you about her the other day."
The two shake hands, Wednesday a bit uneasy about it. She introduces herself*
"Wednesday Addams."
"Jenna Thompson"
Xavier smiles at them meeting each other and sits down*
"Hey, care to get us a couple coffees at the cafeteria? I'll pay?"
Jenna nods okay*
"Sure thing."
She kisses Xavier's cheek and goes off. Wednesday watches her walk off and he looks back to Xavier*
"You two seem close…"
Xavier looks a bit confused*
"Well yeah? Couples tend to do that? You okay? You look flustered."
She sighs*
"Enid… she lashed out at me this morning because of what happened with Ajax. Normally I wouldn't bat an eye but…"
He sips his water*
"It's fine to feel bad about your friends sometimes Wednesday. We aren't going to tease you or anything. Anyway… Bianca is holding a Nightshade Meeting tonight. She wants you and Enid to be there. Oh… and Thing too I guess…"
He thumbs up*
Wednesday nods*
"I take it it's about Ajax's disappearance?"
He nods*
"Yep. We lost another nightshade. After Rowan was kicked out… we've kinda dropped members like flies."
Wednesday nods okay*
"Alright. I will see you there tonight then."
At the end of the school day, Wednesday travels back to her dorm room as she talks to Thing*
"I do not usually ask of your opinion Thing, but do you believe that Ajax is alive? I am starting to wonder if this stalker of mine is a total killer or not. Why would they kill Trevor… and spare Ajax?"
Thing responds by signing his usual way*
"Ajax wasn't really someone I called a friend. Just, my friend's friend."
He signs again*
"It'd hurt the people I love? Do not use love unconditionally, Thing."
She approaches their door and opens it, she's greeted by Enid hugging her*
"What are you doing…?"
Enid lets go and looks at her with dread. She responds*
"Wednesday… I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you earlier like that. This isn't your fault with the stalker. I was just… mad. Upset with Ajax's disappearance. And I took it out on my bestie. Can you ever forgive me?"
Wednesday brushes off her sleeves*
"Only if you stop hugging me all the time."
Enid giggles*
"Sure thing."
Wednesday turns around and asks for Enid to follow*
"Let's go. We are going somewhere."
Enid grabs her bag and follows nervously*
"We are? What's the occasion?"
They walk on, Wednesday responds*
"You will know when we get there, come on"
They walk up to the entrance of the Nightshade's Library. Enid is confused*
"The Nightshades? Why are we here?
They walk more inside as she responds*
"We have been summoned by Bianca. Presumingly talking about Ajax's disappearance and the stalker situation."
She nods*
"OK, so are we like… honorary members or something?"
Enid smiles a bit, Wednesday shrugs*
"I do not know, come on"
They approach the door and they hold up their hands and snap twice. The door opens and they walk down the staircase. Bianca, Xavier, Yoko, Divina, and Kent are all down there waiting. Bianca speaks up first*
"You two are late. What kept you?"
Wednesday looks at her*
"It is only 21:10."
Xavier shakes his head with a slight smirk*
"She would use military time."
Enid is kinda giddy to be down here."
"Thanks for inviting us, Bianca. So… are we joining your little "Jedi council?"
Bianca looks around, skeptical*
"That would depend."
Enid responds*
"Depends on what?"
Bianca looks at the other members*
"Will you keep your blabber social media mouth shut? This is a private club that only few people know about. We can't have your blog people knowing of it. If you promise to keep quiet… I will consider it."
Enid thinks and nods*
"Okay, that's fair Bianca. I… I promise to hold my tongue."
Bianca nods and looks at Wednesday*
"Now Addams, obviously we all know regardless of being a member, you still enter this library on your own terms regardless. So, how would you like being an official member?"
Wednesday thinks, but nods*
"I accept. But only if I take a high post in the decisions around here."
Bianca nods*
"We… you aren't the leader. You're still new around here. But for your Valor last semester… you can have your ideas and we will try to make them happen."
Bianca takes out a sword and taps it on their shoulders*
"Enid Sinclair… Wednesday Addams. In the power invested in me in this club, I dub you, Nightshades."
The others members shout and snap*
"Nightshades forever!"
Wednesday looks at Xavier*
"We get knighted?"
Xavier smirks*
"Kinda cool, ain't it?"
Enid smiles*
"It is kinda cheesy, but I like it. But Wednesday can't eat cheese so… that explains a lot.
Wednesday stares at her*
"You do not have to talk about my dietary issues."
"Whoops."
Bianca starts talking again*
"Enough. Anyway, we have more pressing matters to attend to. And that is what the hell is going on with this stalker and what happened to Ajax."
Yoko nods*
"Yes. I'm sure tomorrow they will have a talk about Ajax at The Nevermore Reopening Event. Any ideas?"
Enid looks distraught again as she speaks*
"It's just… Why him? He's like the nicest guy out of all of us."
Divina interjects*
"Maybe he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? The person obviously killed Trevor, and once Ajax was taken away he struck again"
Xavier puts his hand to his face, trying to process*
"But what Wednesday said earlier is also valid. How would this person have the future knowledge that Ajax would have been arrested, and in that car on that part of the road he was on? Ajax obviously didn't see anybody else so they're hiding. There must be more of them*
Enid panics*
"W-what if there's dozens of them? What if one of us is next… I… I can't take that!?"
Yoko tries to ease Enid's panicking*
"Enid! Calm yourself… we gotta have our emotions In check!"
Divina begins to speak*
"Do we have any suspects?"
Bianca nods*
"There's always Fairbanks. He's new here."
Enid looks at Xavier*
"Perhaps Jenna Thomson? Maybe a jealousy issue with Wednesday?"
Xavier nods no*
"No way. She barely knew who Wednesday was before we started dating."
Kent looks to Wednesday*
"Guys, I think Wednesday is thinking of something."
Bianca looks at her*
"Wednesday? What is it?"
She pulls out her phone*
"This stalker has taken pictures of many people I'm known to be with. I've talked with almost all of them when the pictures were taken, and all of them were with me when they were taken."
Xavier nods*
"Yeah, okay?"
Wednesday looks at him*
"There's another in these photos who I haven't spoken with yet…"
The others look at her and are confused, Xavier speaks first*
"You don't mean…"
She nods*
"Yes… Tyler."
Enid panics*
"You can't trust that guy, he's a lunatic!"
Wednesday nods, agreeing somewhat*
"That may be… but he may be a vital piece of this mystery."
Bianca doesn't buy it*
"Why would he have anything to do with it? He's Locked away at the Mental Hospital place."
Wednesday nods, understanding the confusion*
"That is correct, but of everyone in my pictures, he's the one that sticks out the most. Maybe it's an accomplice of Tyler and Laurel Gates."
Yoko nods*
"Wouldn't it make more sense to talk to Laurel? She was the ringleader"
Enid nods no*
"Unfortunately that's not possible. Laurel Gates was taken to a prison on the other side of the country. She practically committed genocide and killed Mayor Walker in cold blood. She's in big time jail."
Wednesday nods*
"Indeed. So Tyler may be our best bet."
Kent looks at her*
"How do you intend to get there? Do you know where it is?"
She nods*
"I do not. But Sheriff Galpin may be of help. But I shall need transport."
Xavier raises a hand*
"I can take you. I have my license and I have access to my dad's spare car. We can go tomorrow morning if you'd like?"
Wednesday nods, Enid raises her hand*
"I'll go too, if that's okay?"
Wednesday nods no*
"No Enid, you need to stay. I do not want to put you in unnecessary danger again. Besides, the school may need your aid if something happens when we're gone"
Enid sulks*
"Fine… I understand. But you're gonna leave me alone? What if I get taken or killed when you're gone?"
Yoko raises her hand*
"You can come down to mine and Zoey's place. It's right down the hall."
Enid nods okay, she feels better. Bianca speaks*
"Okay. Good. And until further notice, no one travels alone at night. Xavier, that means no going to your studio alone either."
He nods*
"Oh trust me, I'm not going there without a buddy."
Bianca nods*
"Okay then, this meeting is officially over then. Let's go."
Everyone walks upstairs and leaves she library. Xavier walks next to Wednesday as he speaks to her*
"Hey, so I'll be ready to go by 8:30 tomorrow okay? Meet me by the gates then."
Wednesday nods*
"I will see you there. Now let's get back to our rooms before something else happens."
Everyone travels back to their rooms and makes sure they're all in pairs. The next morning Wednesday is up and talking with Thing*
"Yes, I realize talking to Him might not be the best idea. But this isn't all about me. This may be important. Let's go, Thing."
They go to leave as Enid waves goodbye*
"You guys be careful okay? Don't do anything crazy. And tell Tyler if he tries anything… I'll kick his ass again. Good this time."
Wednesday gives a slight smirk as she nods okay, and walks outside. She travels to where Xavier said he'd be and he is there. In a basic dark blue sedan. She sits in the passenger seat and buckles up. Wednesday talks*
"With how wealthy your father is known to be, I figured you'd have a nicer car."
Xavier gives her a "Whatever" face*
"He doesn't like to drop mad cash on me all the time. This was just a present for my 16th birthday. His own used car…"
Wednesday nods*
"It will do. Now let's get to Jericho and talk with Galpin. And hope he isn't as hot headed as usual."
Xavier chuckles as they drive off, out of the school*
"He's a Galpin. They're all angry and rude. Just like his son…"
She doesn't find that funny, Xavier retorts a bit*
"I'm sorry… I know you two were close before… It happened. But you do know it was all an act right? He didn't give a rat's ass about you. Just like he thought of me and the other outcasts. Just like he did to my mural those years ago. He's just another asshole bully, Wednesday. And I'm sorry he messed with your head like that."
She just breathes out slowly. Clearly thinking*
"It's just that… part of the Tyler that he was portraying… seemed real. When he came out and clean with who he was, he looked mad. Not like the angry mad, like the insane kind. But when he ended his victorious monologue… it's like he snapped out of a trance."
Xavier nods, feeling kinda disturbed*
"So you think he may not be all there? Maybe part of his good guy persona is real?"
Wednesday nods no*
"I cannot confirm that. He may be just a monster. Or his Master, Laurel was messing with his head"
Ding*
Wednesday opens her phone, another message*
Stalker-
You're quite brave to abandon your friends back at school
Xavier tries to focus on driving*
"What? Is it the stalker?"
She nods*
"It is. They're just taunting me."
Stalker-
It'd be a shame if I harmed this little puppy…
sends a picture of Enid alone in her dorm. Now Wednesday is angry*
Wednesday-
If you hurt her…
Stalker-
You'll what? Afraid you abandoned your roommate? Ask your Artist Friend, he knows all about that.
Wednesday puts her phone away*
"He is just trying to get under my skin…
Wednesday tries to call Enid, but she doesn't know how to. Xavier glances kinda worried*
"You shouldn't tap so hard, what are you trying to do?"
She keeps sliding and taping*
"Trying to call Enid. She may be alone."
Xavier clearly isn't having her whole "technology issue" stuff*
"Oh boy... just... tap the phone icon and then tap her contact name."
Wednesday does this and calls her*
"Enid?"
Enid picks up, worried*
"Wednesday? Everything OK? You talk with the sheriff yet?"
"No Enid, but the stalker just sent me an image of you alone in our room. Have you gone to Yoko's room yet?"
"I was just about to Wednesday, I'll leave now. It's just down the hall."
"Yes, and Ajax went down the road and look what happened."
Enid nods on her end*
"Okay, didn't realize you cared so much. Hehe."
Wednesday rolls her eyes and hangs up. Xavier glances at her with a smirk*
"Still baffles me how two complete opposites such as you two are good friends."
Wednesday responds*
"Things change when you live together for half a school year."
They pull up to the police station and park. The two get out of the car and Galpin is already at the front desk talking to other staff. He sees them and sighs.*
"What do you two want? We already have missing person reports regarding Mr. Petropolus."
Wednesday does her normal stare*
"That is not what we're here for."
Galpin nods*
"Then what?"
Xavier speaks up now*
"Your son."
He glares*
"What about him? He is none of your concern."
Wednesday shows him her messages*
"But he may be. Tyler, whether you like it or not… is in these photos. He is the only person in them that I haven't talked to yet. It's possible he may be a link to this mystery. They may be tied to him and Laurel Gates. And obviously we aren't going to be able to see her. So, where is the rehabilitation clinic?"
Galpin sighs, but grabs a notepad. He writes down the address*
"Fine. Here's the address and number. But don't get him all riled up."
Wednesday takes it*
"Thank you, Sheriff."
They return to the car and get inside. Xavier puts the address in Google maps. It's 15 miles away. Not too, too far. Xavier points for her*
"It's about a half hour drive. Not too bad. Are you ready?"
Wednesday nods and they drive off. The scene cuts to them pulling up to the Clinic. Xavier looks worried*
"Why does every place that houses monsters have to look spooky too?"
Wednesday looks around*
"To keep normal people away. No offense."
"Non taken I guess. Come on, let's go."
They walk inside and to the front desk. The lady turns to them*
"How may I help you two?"
Wednesday looks at the lady*
"We're here to talk to a patient. Tyler Galpin."
She looks scared*
"That… that thing?"
Xavier nods*
"We have history."
The receptionist nods."
"I see. Well you may talk to him for 10 minutes. That's the maximum talking time. And only one at a time. Your boyfriend will have to wait in the lobby."
The two share a weird glance. Xavier speaks up*
"Boyfriend? We're not together, lady. We're just friends."
She nods, looks up the cell number*
"My apologies. Mr. Galpin is at cell 192."
Wednesday nods*
"Thank you. I won't be long Xavier."
Wednesday walks down the hallway full of patients. Psychotic people and monsters and madmen. She eventually approaches his cell and instantly she can feel the room turn cold. And not the cold she'd normally like. The cold that reminds her of trusting the killer from last semester. Regret. She arrives at Tyler's cell. he looks surprised and scared*
"Wednesday? Thank God you're here. Get me outta this place!"
Wednesday glares*
"You can drop the act Tyler. I did not forget about what you've done."
He then turns from scared to a cocky grin*
"Good. Acting like the previous good boy is so boring."
He sounds excited*
"So, I heard you came here with your pathetic artist friend? It felt great to see him fall in place just as planned"
She's fuming inside*
"As obsessive as Xavier may have been, he is not pathetic. Do not make me make you regret the fact that you framed him…"
Thing hops on her shoulder and flips him off*
"Hey Thing. Looking as cold as ever. It's a shame Laurel couldn't finish you off."
He lunged at Tyler but Wednesday grabs him*
"Thing, stop! He is not worth it. Now… I believe you're not as bad as you think you are. I can feel that there's some good in you, Tyler. You… you can change."
Tyler rolls his eyes and turns around to talk, not looking*
"The hell do you know about me, Addams? My father held little care for me my whole life after my mother died. Like I was a disappointment. And that's what I will continue being. I am what I am Wednesday!"
She nods*
"You're wrong. Your father does love you. I can see it in his face whenever I show up around him. I feel he partially blames me for you being taken away."
He bangs on the cell, causing her to step back*
"Then where is he now!? When I need him most! Get me out of here Wednesday!!!"
She breathes out*
"No. Even if you can change, it doesn't change what you've done to the people… I love….
She slowly steps to the cell door*
"You set up Xavier, and made me put an innocent man behind bars! You tried to kill Eugene. You nearly killed Enid. You distracted me with that "date", so Laurel would kill Thing."
He looks rather scared*
"I may be a person with little feelings, but when you mess with the ones I care about… That is where I draw the line."
He sighs*
"Alright… The Eugene one was kinda messed up. That was a mistake.*
Wednesday nods, but he grins*
"I should've finished the job…"
She yanks the small knife from her boot and holds it towards him with a glare. Thing taps her shoulder, calming her. She pulls out her phone*
"I… did not come here to have a heart to heart with what little of one I have."
Tyler nods*
"Then, what are you here for?"
She shows him the photo of her and him*
"Someone took this photo of us. And a few others. I was wondering if you or Laurel had any accomplices?"
He scoffs*
"And why should I help you out?"
Wednesday stares, losing patience*
"Do you have anything better to do besides staring at a wall?"
Tyler nods, approving of the point she made. Wednesday tries again*
"So, what do you have? Any inside knowledge of who it may be?"
Tyler thinks, but nods no*
"Nope. Laurel wouldn't have wanted anyone who leaves any loose ends."
Wednesday puts her phone away*
"It must be someone at Nevermore then. The photos are taken from inside."
Tyler shrugs*
"Beats me"
Wednesday gets ready to leave*
"Well, guess this was a waste of time. I need to go."
Tyler nods*
"Take care… I guess."
Wednesday nods*
"I do truly believe your head can be fixed. One day, maybe I will be right"
Suddenly Tyler is getting dive bombed by 2 wasps in his cell*
"What the hell… go away… ugh! Ngh!"
He swats at them. Wednesday walks away.*
"Like I said, I should be going."
As she walks… a shadow is seen in the side of the camera*
The scene transitions. Wednesday meets back up with Xavier. He smirks*
"Did he enjoy my little show?"
Wednesday looks confused*
"Show?"
He nods*
"The wasps. Thought it'd be funny to make him shit himself a bit. With the power of art."
Wednesday doesn't find it too amusing, and they walk to the car. Wednesday folds her arms in dissatisfaction as she speaks.*
"This was sort of a bust. He didn't have much information on the stalker."
They buckle up and drive off. Xavier starts talking*
"I didn't think he'd be of much help anyway honestly. He's still behind bars and can't really help much."
She nods*
"It was worth a shot, which is unfortunate because my accuracy is usually impeccable."
Xavier sighs*
"Not when it comes to solving mysteries… trust me, I would know. Anyway, we gotta get back to Jericho. The Nevermore reopening party is starting."
Back at Jericho. Everyone is participating at the events at the park. We get a few shots of people playing games, dancing, eating food. We then transition to a picnic bench. Enid, Eugene, Bianca, and Lucas are sitting there. Lucas starts to talk to Enid after they're in a seemingly happy conversation*
"So, what did you think of that Sharks game?"
Enid swallows her drink and grins*
"It was great. Totes destroyed the Golden Knights."
Lucas chuckles*
"More like a lucky come back. But call it as you will."
Bianca scoffs*
"Hockey Heads…"
Enid glares slightly*
"What's wrong with that? Huh? Fencer Face?"
Bianca tilts her head and glares*
"You fence too genius."
Eugene tries to break up the fighting*
"Girls… girls. This is supposed to be a fun time. A time to put away what happened last semester."
Lucas nods*
"He's right. We don't need to be arguing here."
Bianca sighs*
"I guess…"
Eugene notices Enid's distant eyes*
"Everything alright, Enid?"
She nods*
"Not really… Ajax is still on my mind. And Wednesday. I haven't heard from her in a fat minute."
Eugene grins*
"I think they're fine, Enid."
Enid tilts her head*
"What makes you so sure?"
Eugene points behind Enid. Wednesday and Xavier are walking towards them. Enid gasps*
"You guys are back! Get any information?"
Bianca smirks*
"Enjoy your date Xavier?"
Xavier squints and laughs sarcastically*
"Ha ha… funny. Can we move on already?"
Wednesday sits down*
"No, we did not find any more information. Tyler had no Intel as far as I could tell."
Bianca puts a hand on her shoulder*
"Hey, not every mission ends in success. I believe we can figure this all out."
Eugene interrupts them*
"In the meantime we should have some fun guys. We can try and get these scary thoughts out of our heads."
Xavier nods approving*
"The Bee man is right. Come on Wednesday. We should relax a bit."
Wednesday sighs*
"I am not one to have fun, Xavier. But I suppose attending couldn't hurt."
The group, other than Wednesday, cheers as they walk off to the vendors and games. We transition to Yoko, Divina, and Kent playing a horseshoe toss game. Kent misses his 3rd toss. Yoko and Divina laugh as Kent groans. He looks at the 2 girls in anger*
"It's not that funny! You two give it a shot."
Divina chuckles and pats him on the back*
"Oh don't get your locks in a twist, brother."
Yoko walks up and grabs a horseshoe. She aims and tosses, makes a perfect hit. Yoko turned around and celebrates in a cocky manner*
"Ha! eat on that, fish boy!"
Kent blows a raspberry at her. Divina chuckles as she talks*
"Okay you two, don't tear each other apart. I'm gonna hit the little girls' room real quick."
Divina heads to the restroom. As she comes out, she looks around nervously. As she's suddenly hit in the head by a rock. She's knocked out cold. As the camera pans down to Divina's head. As someone grabs her arm and drags her away. The person is not revealed. But the camera does zoom in on the pocket charm on the ground that belongs to Divina*
