With the weather nice and not too hot for a chance, Angela decided the four of them needed to play outside for the day. The kids would do well with some fresh air. Bouncing her three month old daughter on her knee, Angela watched in amusement as Jack pulled a winded Wesley around the yard. "Having fun out there?"
"You know it!" he called back as he continued chasing Jack.
Angela looked down at Valentina. "What do you think, Val - should we go save Daddy from your big brother's wrath?" The baby responded with a gurgle, and she laughed. "Yeah, that's what I thought."
"Mommy!" a delighted Jack called when he spotted her.
Wesley came to a dead stop, clearly relieved by the rescue. "Thank you," he mouthed.
"You're welcome, you big baby." Angela turned to face her son. "Can your sister and I join you two?"
He thought about it for a second before reluctantly agreeing. "Fine," Jack mumbled.
"Sound more enthusiastic about it," she joked before handing Val over to Wesley. The two of them played for a bit before Angela decided enough was enough and plopped down on the grass. Jack joined her just seconds later. "You want to look at the clouds?" He nodded his assent as Wesley and Valentina joined them.
"You look beautiful, Ange."
"Stop trying to suck up but thank you." God, she loved this man and their beautiful babies.
Wesley snorted. "You're welcome."
With the baby distracted by some grass, the other three gazed up at all the clouds in the sky. "We should do this more often." This was more fun than Angela expected it to be.
"Fun!" Jack agreed.
Angela and Wes glanced at each other before turning to Jack and tickling him, his delighted laughter setting them off too.
