At the age of 10, Justin Fury is told that she is the New Avatar; a spiritual being that controls the five elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air, and Energy) whose job is to protect Earth. There is a prophecy that the planet would be destroyed by a powerful mutant and only The Avatar can stop it. Justin joins the X-Men to continue her training, and with their help, save the world.
