AU story. Arizona is in the Marines and meets Callie. Will they be able to make it work with the differences? Warning this is a trans male to female story and I know nothing about the Marines. It will also eventually turn into a M rated story. I don't own any of the characters. Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing from y'all

It was a Robbins tradition for ever male in the family to join the Marines so when Arizona Robbins announced she was going, it didn't really surprise anybody. Most of her family was accepting, her brother was excited and hoping to be stationed together. Her mom was upset at first, she was just worried and didn't want anything to happen to her baby but she came around and understood. Her dad though was a whole other story

"Arizona you can't possibly be this stupid! You can't do this!" Daniel yelled at her

"Why not?! It's the same thing as every other guy getting to do the tradition! I'm no different!"

"Yes you are! Don't you see it?! You can not go into the Marines like that!"

"Why not?! Nobody knows the truth but you, mom, and Tim. And none of y'all are going to say anything!" Arizona takes a deep breath "Look dad I just want to make this family proud and continue the legacy and I feel like this is what I should be doing with my life"

"You wanted to be a doctor when you were little can't you go back to wanting that?"

"No dad. I want this and before I leave I would like your support but it's already done I'm going"

"Whatever Arizona" Daniel says storming off

That was the last time Arizona can actually remember having a conversation with her dad. Things were just awkward and tense with each other after that. Luckily though he still pulled some strings and her and Tim were stationed in the same place together. They talked but it wasn't the same. Arizona would try to talk to him and he would just give her one word answers. It wasn't until they both got called home on emergency family leave that she actually spoke to her father again. He was sick, his heart was failing and there was nothing she could do about it. It wasn't fair because he gave his whole life to protecting this country. The whole Robbins family gave their lives to protect this country so why do bad things happen to such good people. It always seem like the good people get taking too soon by something you can't control, something you can't do anything about it. Arizona was tired of it, they shouldn't have to come home to say goodbye to their dad.

She was currently sitting on the beach in Miami. She just needed some fresh air and a breather from the hospital so she took a walk and landed her. She was lost in her thoughts when a volleyball hit her in the back. She turned around to see and if you ask her she would swear it was a literal goddess jogging up to her to get the ball. She sat there staring at the stranger. Arizona noticed the women waving at her and she could see her mouth moving but Arizona wasn't even focused on that. This woman literally took her breath away and all her thoughts apparently. Finally she see tan fingers snapping in front of her face and she snapped out of it

"Are you okay? Did it hurt you? I'm really sorry we were just playing" The strange girl was starting to ramble

"Um uh yea i'm fine" Arizona says giving her a slight smile

"Well okay as long as you're okay. Once again I'm really sorry" The girl said picking up her ball and starting to walk away

"I'm not sorry" Arizona quickly yelled and the girl quickly turned away looking at her confused "I'm not sorry your ball hit me because then" Arizona says looking her up and down "then I wouldn't have got to to meet someone as beautiful as yourself"

The girl lets out laugh one Arizona swears she'll do anything to hear again "righttt i'm sure you use that line on all the girls"

"No never had a reason to. I'm Arizona by the way" She says sticking out her hand

"Callie" She says shaking Arizona's hand

"Well it was a pleasure meeting you Ms.Callie. I really hope to see you around" Arizona says as she turns around to walk away

"Hey Arizona" Callie yells out at her "would you maybe want to play some volleyball with me and my friends over there?"

"Sure I would love to!" Arizona says giving her a dimpled smile

That's where she met Callie's friends Addison and Mark. The ball hitting Arizona actually ended up working out because then it made their teams even. Mark and Addison on one and her and Callie on the other. Having just met they played really well together. They just worked well together. The two of them moved as one and majority of the matches they ended up smoking Mark and Addison. The rest of that afternoon went by pretty quickly. Arizona seemed to fit right in and they were all just joking and having fun. It felt good to Arizona to finally just feel like a normal person, to just be able to laugh and have fun without the weight of the world on her shoulders. It was quickly turning dark so they decided to build a bonfire and just sit by it and chill for the rest of the night. Arizona was sitting back enjoying watching the banter between the friends. She loved getting to see this side of Callie and wondered what other sides she had to her. She loved getting to hear all these stories of her. Arizona she wanted to know more about her. Mark and Addison were both getting tired and decided to call it night so Callie decided to too which left them saying goodbye

"So Arizona I really had a fun time with you today. You seemed to get along really well in our group"

"Well thank y'all for letting me join. I had alot of fun today too"

"Maybe we can meet for lunch or something tomorrow?"

"Like I could ever say no to a beautiful girl like yourself. The pleasure would mine Callie" Arizona winking at her

Callie starts laughing "here you go again with your smooth lines"

"There not smooth lines if it's the truth" Arizona says shrugging

"Alright well bye Arizona see you tomorrow" Callie says standing there awkwardly

"Um Callie I need your number you know to see you tomorrow"

"Rightttt here put yours in" Callie says giving Arizona her phone. When Arizona goes to Callie her phone she takes the opportunity to pull her in a for hug. Being in Callie's arms just feel so warm and cozy. Arizona has a hard time letting go but she does reluctantly.

"Okay well bye Callie I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow" Arizona says as she turns around and walks away with a smile on her face
