"A Royal Misunderstanding"

The Tournament of Power left a grand expression on all twelve universes, especially Universe 6. After the groundbreaking battle royale, our sixth universe saiyans wish to improve their strengths. Cabba, ace of the SDF elites, will prove his master that he'll protect Sadala, no matter what. Kale, the shy, but powerful saiyanness, will increase her independence. Caulifla, leader of North City's infamous gang, will grow stronger to face Goku again. Their journey began well, but some delays held them back. What delays? It would be best to show you throughout this retelling. Come along and see how our heroes have changed.

North City (Age 780 - Three Months Later)...

Caulifla's POV

'I can't believe she chose this one…' I thought, while strolling down the sidewalk. A few minutes earlier, my morning schedule ended, so I entered the kitchen for a drink of water. Kale stopped me, wanting to show something. Last week, she bought a three-layered gown. It was for me and I didn't like it. Ugh, the wardrobe looked nauseating. All glittery and pink? That gown attracted classy girls, not me.

Olive, my right-hand woman, suggested I wear it. The suggestion left me puzzled, but Kale's smile showed something off. Her lips twitched, alongside her cheeks. There was redness in her eyes, which confused me. However, it changed my mind, so I took the dress, thanked Kale, and regretted myself. After entering the store, I saw him.

"..."

"Uh… Hello?"

"My god, you're a beauty."

That interaction became one of my biggest mistakes. His brown eyes were alright, but it's his grin that disturbed me. I went along with my duty, but the man kept following me. About fifteen minutes of him stalking me, I left the store with what I needed to buy. Cabba gave us 500,000 credits after I fulfilled my promise during the tournament. That was a lot of credits, but I appreciated his offer and bought necessary tools around the hideout. Well, first I purchased a new hideout for the gang and Kale. This shocked them, but they were happy to see the new building.

However, the exit left a straining five days ahead. That man that glued his eyes at me? He's actually the prince of Sadala, Pinto. Dumb name aside, Pinto is the son of King Sadala, our ruler. That rich bastard was the reason for my turnaround and I'll tell you why. Three years ago, Sadala vowed to increase financial support in East City, my birth town. Seven weeks later and nothing happened; people suffered from poverty and became homeless. Luckily, my older brother and I left East City to North City, but it didn't change my perspective of King Sadala.

Nearly a week of stalking and I'd grown annoyed of this. After breakfast, Cabba called about meeting me at the park. I accepted the change of scenery and hung up. I later put Olive in charge of the hideout, while I got dressed. "Make sure Kale cleans up the garage, prepares brunch, and vacuums the living room, Olive." Her expression held restrained annoyance—and a bit of anxiety—but she heard everything. At the park, Cabba sat around the wooden bench, without his armor over his upper body. Today was his break, so he called me to have a conversation. Before I approached the bench, Prince Pinto stepped between me and Cabba. He had a bouquet of roses and a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Oh, this takes unnatural love to the next level!

"Oh, my spiky-haired beauty. Your skin brightens the sunlight whenever you trudge, your grin sparkles through laughter, and your waist has that narrowness I desire. Please, may you-"

"Look, pal! I already have a meeting with Cabba, if you can see!"

"Cabba? The SDF elites' ace?"

{Pinto turned around, noticing Cabba.}

"Don't tell me you're in love with him, too!?"

"What!?"

"Uh, Prince Pinto. It's not what it looks. Caulifla and I are conversing about potential training schedule changes."

"You mean 'dating schedule changes'? Your status as soldier doesn't eclipse my royalty!"

"Is this the problem you referenced, Caulifla?"

"Yeah, man, and he is persistent as hell!"

"Persistent in love, my beauty!"

"Shut up!"

"Fiery! I love a woman with a sharp, hot tongue."

"Alright, I have enough. Pinto, there's nothing romantic between me and Caulifla. Now, please leave."

"Well, if you insist…"

{Pinto punched Cabba in the face.}

That punch flung Cabba backwards into a bush. He declared a match to determine who I love more. Pinto or Cabba? What kind of weirdo was he!? The bushes exploded, leaves glided like rain as Cabba launched towards Pinto. The prince's face was full of regret, and Cabba's fist smashed through his pathetic head. Pinto skidded against grass, pavement, and landed on the blacktop. When he sat up, his nose was bleeding and scars appeared on his cheeks. Eww, that's a gnarly scene to muster.

I opened my mouth, but Cabba's animalistic growls paused the moment. His red eyes, steam evaporating over his spiky black hair, and veins popping under his skins reminded something. Then, Kale's twitchy smile came inside my mind, signaling something I can't wrap yet. In a blur, Cabba flew forward and tackled Pinto, both sliding further on the street. "That's it! I'm tired of being polite! Master told me to accept my anger, but there was an issue! I. Can't. Stop. Imaging. Vivid. Gruesome! IMAGES!" Cabba's punches sounded like thumps, pounding against flesh and bones. Those flesh and bones were Pinto's body as he does nothing but whimper.

Although satisfying, I couldn't watch Cabba act so aggressively. That's not like him. No, I'm serious. Cabba would never beat up someone, even if they continued offending him. I blew air, turned Super Saiyan, and jogged to them. Just as Cabba raised his cupped fists above his head, I grabbed it in time. "Enough, man! I got this, just… take deep breaths." It seemed Cabba understood my message and got off of Pinto. His face was f*ed up, beyond repair to be honest. I waited for Pinto to stand up, try to relocate his shoulder, and cried. "Why!? My beauty, why!?" I slapped him across the scarred cheek, watching him fall sideways.

"How many times do I have to ignore your ass!? I'm not in love with you nor Cabba! There's no 'love at first sight' nonsense."

"T-The gown made you beautiful."

"My friend picked it out, and I didn't want to break her heart or upset her."

"..."

"Now you understand?"

"Aw, how could I be so blind with lust? I'm sorry for bothering you, miss. My father must be worried of me, so I'll be going. Farewell… and apologies, Cabba!"

{Pinto flew away.}

After delegating, I carried Cabba back to headquarters and returned home. When I stepped in, I found the vacuum broken into pieces. The garage was a mess, papers and cabinets obliterated. I felt a tap on my shoulder, twisted my waist, and saw Olive's terrified look. "W-What happened?" Olive explained everything about my favor for Kale. Apparently, she didn't take it too lightly and went overboard. "Don't worry, Sis. Kale's calm and in her bedroom." Why would Kale get upset and destroy the areas I told her to clean? Anywho, the girls repaired the garage, while I attended brunch my way: takeout.
