Author notes: Welcome to my fanfiction story series, HotelBob TransylvaniaPants. As the series title suggests, it'll feature recreations of various SpongeBob episodes, but with characters and settings from the Hotel Transylvania franchise.
This is the first season, as it features only episodes from the first season of the show itself.
Summary: Dennis is ready to find his purpose in the hotel, by deciding to be a helper for the hotel's chef; Although, he doesn't want Dennis to be with him at all, but Dracula decided that Dennis must pass a test first, before he gets the job.
The chapter is the parody of the show's pilot episode: Help Wanted.
In Transylvania, there is a building where humans and monsters live together and relax. It is home to every single monster, from the jellylike blob, to the hairy Bigfoot.
But, one of the hotel's special residents, is the grandson of Dracula. His name is Dennis, an enthusiastic, kindhearted, happy-go-lucky 5-year-old vampire/human hybrid.
"RING!!!!", goes an alarm clock, and Dennis woke up from his bed.
"Today's the big day, Tinkles", Dennis said to his puppy, who is very large. As he's getting himself dressed, he said, "Look at me, I have floppy arms!", to which he is trying to put his shirt on.
He then goes over to a mock weight lifting set, to which only empty milk jugs act as dumbbells. "I have to be in tip-top shape, Tinkles.", Dennis told his dog, to which he agrees.
Unfortunately, Dennis doesn't have enough strength to lift up the weights, but managed to lift them up, only for him to drop them. "I'm ready!", Dennis said, flying in his bat form from his room.
Dennis has been thinking about what he's going to do, to help his family in the hotel. Eventually, he saw the hiring sign on the kitchen door. "Well, there's the two words I seen before, that everyone who wants to help has to see.", Dennis said, "Now hiring.".
"For days, I've been dreaming of this moment.", Dennis continued, "I'm going to walk through those door, walk to that guy who will give me the jobs, look at him straight in the eye, lay on the line, and...,", suddenly he stopped.
Dennis now starts to have second thoughts about it. "I can't do this!", Dennis cried, but as he tried to retreat, he bumped into his best friend, a werewolf named Winnie.
"Where do you think you're going?", she asked. Dennis was trying to tell Winnie, that he was going away from the job, but Winnie interrupted, "No way! You've told everyone including myself, that you're going to help your family, by getting a job.". "But I can't go in there and ask him.", Dennis sobbed.
"Who's first words were 'Papa Drac'?", Winnie asked. "Mine were?", Dennis responded.
"Who's the one with a human dad and a vampire mom?", she continued. "I am.", Dennis responded again.
Winnie was now struggling to ask a third question, and finally she asked, "Who's the best friend a werewolf like me could ever have, and the nicest boy I know?". "I am!", Dennis said.
"Now who's ready?", Winnie asked, to which Dennis responded, "I'm ready!!!".
In the kitchen, there was a chef who goes by the name of Quasimodo. He looked through the window and noticed Dennis running up towards the door. "That kid.", the chef said with an annoyed look, "What's does he want?".
Quasimodo soon noticed the sign outside the door, and realized that he's going to working with one of his biggest nightmares, as he doesn't like humans that much.
"Dracula!", the curmudgeonly chef scream, to which Dracula flew in the kitchen in his bat form. "What's wrong?", Dracula said, all annoyed. "You gotta keep that grandson of yours out of this kitchen,", Quasimodo said angrily, "or I'm gonna...". But it was too late, as Dennis went through the doors.
"Permission to come aboard?", Dennis said with courage, "I've been waiting for this day for my entire life!".
As Dennis walks in, he tripped on a floorboard, and started to bounce around the room, before landing back on the ground. "So, where do I start Mr Quasimodo?", Dennis asked.
After one quick look, the chef just said, "That's what I mean, Dracula! I don't want some snotty little jerk, handle my culinary experience.". "But if you ask Papa Drac, he won't agree, right?", Dennis said, all puppy-eyed.
The two went over to a section of the kitchen to which Dracula tells the chef, that his grandson is a prodigy. But Quasimodo only said, "No.", to which Dracula needs to think of another strategy.
"Well,", said Dracula, "If you're going to help Quasi here, you need to do a test.". "What kind of test?", Dennis asked, to which Dracula responded, "I need you to go shopping with your mom, and get something important.".
Mavis, the mother of Dennis, overheard this, and happily agreed to take Dennis shopping. "Alright Dad, what does Dennis need to buy?", she asked. "Well,", Dracula said, as he's trying to figure it out, into this point that Quasimodo whispers various things into the vampire's ear.
"He needs a aerodynamic spatula, with a set of attachments, and turbo drive.", Dracula said, as Mavis wrote it down on a list. "And make sure you bring it back, pronto!", he said one more.
"Okay mom, I'm ready to go shopping!", Dennis said with excitement, to which Mavis is trying to wonder if such product actually exists. "That'll get rid of him!", Quasimodo whispered, to which Dracula heard that. "I heard that!", he even said.
This leads to the two having a heated argument, until a bus arrives at the hotel.
Quasimodo soon stopped, and sniffed the air. "You smell that?", he asked, as he continued to smell the air. "Smell what?", Dracula asked, to which Quasimodo soon realized who was coming.
"Teenagers.", the chef whispered. "What?", Dracula asked, to which the chef screamed, "TEENAGERS!!!!".
As soon as he said that, a swarm of teenage humans and monsters came through the doors and into the snack bar outside.
"We're hungry!", one teenager shouted, to which Dracula said, "Is this the right way to behave yourselves?". Quasimodo actually agrees by saying, "How about you guys go in a single file line and wait.".
"WE WANT FOOD!", all the teenagers screamed, as they emitted chaos into the kitchen. "I guess we shouldn't have to kick Dennis out, right?", Quasimodo said, to which Dracula disagrees saying that it was the chef's idea in the first place.
Meanwhile at the store, Dennis and his mom are busy looking for the spatula that Quasimodo wants. "I'm pretty sure, nothing looks like this, son.", Mavis said, to which Dennis responded, "But there has to be one!", saying that he's not going to give up.
Eventually, he did find the spatula, and the best part is, it's the last one. "Mom, I found it!", Dennis said, to which his mom now believes him. The two payed for the spatula, and went back home, only to find it flooded with teens.
Now the kitchen is totally chaotic, as lots of teenagers are being rambunctious like ocean waves. "All I asked for is a single line.", Quasimodo screamed, to which Dracula said, "I hope that Dennis comes back.
"Permission to come aboard?", Dennis said once more, as he and his mom in bat form, flew towards the disaster. "Did somebody order a spatula?", Dennis asked, to which both Dracula and Quasimodo were shocked themselves.
"I repeat,", the young boy said, "An aerodynamic spatula with a set of attachments and turbo drive?". "And the best part, is that there was only one left in stock!", Mavis added. "Now who's hungry?", Dennis said, as he and Quasimodo somewhat worked together on making enough food for everyone.
"Why, that's the best style of craftsmanship, a chef has ever seen!", Quasimodo said with excitement, realizing that Dennis isn't that bad after all. "You are welcome to help me, as long as you don't goof off.", he also said.
"Hello, everyone!", Winnie said, barging through the kitchen doors, "I sure am hungry, and I like you and Dennis to make it for me.". "And what is it?", Quasimodo said with an annoyed look. "One steak, please!", Winnie said, which caused Dennis to get ready to make the steak.
"What the?", Quasimodo said, realized what he's done with hiring Dennis. "Dracula!", he said once more, "I think I might have changed my mind.".
